He wanted to be with her today, he needed someone to comfort him, sit with him, laugh with him. "Would you like to hang out?" Sam asked, he had disposed the halloween mask, the plastic weapon, tossed his gloves and jacket used in the robbery in two separate dumpsters. He thought he had done everything right, but he still was stressed. Her company was much needed, she would take the edge off him and give him something else to think about.
Tomorrow he would go to the hospital and pay for the treatment and look online for charities. Returning the stollen five grand would be too dangerous better to anonymously donate it then to give it back. "So what do you say??" A smile finally found it's way to Sam's face.

"Of course I would!" She exclaimed with excitement. Sam was finally smiling, a wonderful sight that made Talia's heart quicken it's pace.
"Do you have anything in mind?" Talia asked, her voice in a slight curious tone. Today would be another fun filled day with Him and nothing could possibly go wrong, Well at least she hoped. As long as Talia's Fateweaving abilities didn't screw her up today, then she would enjoy her time.
Waiting eagerly for an answer, Talia thought of ideas for what to do. Maybe they could go see a movie? Talia quite enjoyed movies, though most movies Talia had watched were in a different language and Sam would probably be extremely lost if she recommended one of the movies she brought back from her travels. Maybe they could swimming? Though Talia wasn't sure if Sam could swim and it would be embarrassing if he saw her in a swimsuit, not to mention he would probably see her Fateweaver tattoo. But then again Talia didn't really mind what they did, as long as She was with him, Talia could care less on what they did.

"I completely agree...nice to not have little brats piss in the pool." Rayner laughed. He stood against the sun rays and embraced everything. Swimming was his specialty, swimming was his thing. He was fast in the waters and felt at ease. It was his element.
He turned to look at Corvina and then back at the pool. "So how good of a swimmer are you?" he asked.

Sam looked backwards, "I got some cleaning up to do," he chuckled slightly actually talking about hiding the stollen money, "If you want to just hang out here we can or we can go out and do something." He wasn't much of an athletic one, but he did enjoy swimming. He had off today and tomorrow because he had gotten the weekends worth of work done the day before. Tomorrow would have to be for hospital stuff but today was her day he would do anything for her.
Despite her kindness though a growing sense of guilt started to push weight on his shoulders. How would he ever repay her? The Mongolian place was expensive but not as expensive as one hundred grand. "We can do whatever you'd like Talia, but give me about an hour to clean up and shower and stuff." His smile had dissipated a bit but their were still traces of the happiness he felt just being in her presence.

"Alright I'll see you in a hour!" Talia waved goodbye and headed back to her apartment. Honestly today just couldn't get better! She had gotten her first kiss with someone she actually liked and She her fateweaving hadn't screwed her over, well at least not yet. Talia felt invincible, like she could do anything, that nothing could stop-!
"Excuse me Miss, But would you happen to know anything about the recent bank robbery?" Talia was surprised to see a police officer. But she guessed it was a wise choice to ask around the neighbor hood for information.
"No Sir, I do not. Though I will surely report something if I do!" Talia flashed him a smile before heading inside her apartment.
Why would anyone rob the Bank? The thought hung eerily in her mind. Something just didn't sit right with her. The threads of Fate were shifting and not in a favorable direction.
"Oh great!" Talia muttered sarcastically. Just when she thought she was out of troubles way, here it came again!

Corvina looked at him. Rayner looked completely relaxed and in his element. She could see why he'd joined the swim team. She'd have to remember to go to one of their meets this year. The warmth of the sun put her at ease too. She closed her eyes and stretched her arms up above her, wishing she could've brought Zander.
"Yeah, the absence of pee makes the pool experience a lot better." She smiled and opened her eyes. She shrugged at his question. "I'm a decent swimmer I guess."

"Good, I won't have to save your life if you drown..." he said, jokingly. He showed this with a slight laugh and a smile. He stood up straight and walked towards the edge of the pool. He leaned over, looking at the cool water below. He smiled and turned around to face Corvina again, the ball of his feet on the edge of the pool. His bright blue eyes made eye contact with her and he slowly brought down the goggles from his head and over his eyes. Right after he leaped in the air, doing a backflip into the water.
The moment the water surrounded him, he let himself float around in the abyss of liquid. Everything seemed to slow down. A minute almost passed while Rayner was hanging at the bottom of the pool. He figured he should come up for air now. With a strong push of his legs, he went flying up to the surface. His black hair broke through and he looked back up at Corvina on the deck. "Come on! What are you waiting for?" he asked.

Corvina laughed. She'd never really needed a lifeguard before and she doubted she'd need one today either. "Nice to know you have so much confidence in my ability." She watched him move to the edge of the pool and turn to face her before jumping into a backflip into the pool. She smiled. "Showoff!" She shouted after him, though he was still under water so she didn't know if he'd heard or not.
She waited for him to come back up. She wasn't too worried since he was on the swim team and probably had good lungs. Sure enough, he came back up almost a minute later, absolutely fine. She stood up and smiled as he called out to her to come in the water. Corvina wasn't even going to try anything fancy like he'd done. She'd just botch it up. She back up a few steps and ran to the edge of the pool, jumping at the edge and bringing her legs in to make herself as small as possible. "Cannonball!!"

When Corvina hit the water she made a pretty huge splash. It always amazed Rayner how smaller people can do such things. Rayner dived under water again to watch how Corvina swim. He looked at her through his goggles and floated around a bit underneath the water.
Corvina let herself stay under the water for a moment. She opened her eyes and saw all the bubbles she'd made rising up around her. She loved this moment. It was a moment where time didn't even seem to affect her. She was just floating in this space. She blew air out of her mouth so she wouldn't float back up to the surface and slowly felt herself sink to the bottom. Movement caught her eye and she saw Rayner underwater too. At that point her lungs started a slight burning from lack of oxygen. She smiled and waved at him before pushing off the bottom and swimming back up.
Rayner swam up when Corvina did. His lungs captured air when he reached the surface. He laughed and started to swim down to the other end of the pool. He had to slow himself down, reminding himself that he was not in competition at the moment - just having a good time at the pool. Even so, anyone could tell he was a strong swimmer - with the way his body seems to just glide across the water.
Corvina laughed and swam after him. She hadn't even made it halfway before he'd reached the other end. She felt a little envious. There's no way she'd be able to swim like that. "So, are you gonna grow gills and fins soon?" She asked when she got closer. He definitely swam like it. Even if she couldn't swim as fast or smoothly as he could, she was having fun in the water. Her eyes stung a little from the chlorine in the water, but she ignored it.
Sam tidied up his apartment before he got a knock at his door, "Still not ready Talia!" He called outside, but his heart stopped when the cop spoke threw the door asking him about the night before. Thorne opened the door seeing the female sheriff standing before him, "I was on a date," he smiled.
He knew how this would work, he'd play it pleasantly and everything should be fine. She explained how his bike had been placed at the scene of the crime, "I had no idea, but it was stollen," Sam explained, "I heard my father was in the hospital after my date so I headed their and stayed their for hours and walked home because my bike was missing." The officer had been writing all this down, and told him he would here from her again. "Sounds good," Sam laughed closing the door.
That was close, even so it would seem fishy that the stollen bike would be returned just like that but he had to fishing hiding everything and get ready for his second date with Talia. And that hour flew by and he finally headed down stairs and knocked on her door.

"You're quite the joker now, aren't you?" He said treading water and looking at Corvina. He observed her quietly and soon pulled the goggles off of his face and adjusted it. "Here, put these on." He offered, handing the goggles over to her. He then dipped his head down under the water and came back up quickly so that his hair wasn't all over his face. "I have some eye drop in my bag too if you need them, smells like they just cleaned the pool" he said.
The sudden knock at her door, pulled Talia out of the book she was reading. Sighing slightly, She closed the book and put it on a nearby book shelf. She seriously hoped it wasn't another cop, they had already interrupted her reading three times! She swore they were just doing this to annoy her.
Opening her door, She smiled brightly, seeing it was no other than Sam!
"Yay!" She said hugging him without thinking. Though once she realized what she was doing, Talia quickly pulled away, a faint blush spread across her face.
"S-Sorry...I didn't m-mean to react that way..." She muttered, too embarrassed to make eye contact

Hey smiled the hug had pulled him out of his own nerves, "good to see you too," he chuckled pulling her in for another hug. Despite the horribleness of the night before his confidence had been boosted, if u can rob a bank you can talk to a girl. "So what have you decided you want to do?" He pulled away from the hug and looked her in the eyes.
They were beautiful, he had glanced at them before but after everything that was happening around him it was good to just escape the world in her oasis like eyes. A black satchel hung from his side I got swim shorts in her and sun screen but if you want to just go get food or picnic or movie I'm cool for that too." He needed today to calm him down, it was actually essential incase he had to talk to the police again. "All I ask is that we walk," he didn't want to be right back on his bike after the story he told the sheriff.

Talia tensed at the thought of going swimming. She actually quite enjoyed swimming, yet swimming meant less clothing, and less clothing meant no coverage of her intricate tattoo. That would surely raise some questions from him, and Talia didn't know how she would able to avoid those questions.
I know he'll notice it sometime and there will be questions, but I can't tell him...Not yet She thought to herself.
"Erm how about a movie?" She suggested. Swimming would just have to wait, until she could if out how to explain herself to Sam. And besides he probably wouldn't want to here more about her strangeness. That would just bore him.

Corvina smiled. "Yup, I get told that all the time. You really do look like you might start growing some gills soon though; you swim really well." She bit her lip and blushed. What kind of weird compliment was that?? He already knew that... Then he handed her his goggles. She put them on her head and tightened them a bit as he dipped underwater to get his hair out of his face. "Thank you." She said when he came back up. "You sure you won't need them?" He sure was being nice to her, and they barely even knew each other.
"Nah, it's cool!" Rayner said. He had been swimming all of his life and chlorine wasn't even an issue much any more. His hair even, has grown used to it where it doesn't turn wear colors any more. "Seriously," he said to her and leaned back agains the water, floating on his back. He closed his eyes and listened to the muffled sounds of people splashing about.
"So tell me..." he said, still floating on his back. "What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?" He asked. He felt relaxed letting the sunlight soak into his muscular chest.

She looked at him, all peaceful with his eyes closed and floating in the water. She had to admit, he did look handsome. The way his hair was pushed back from his face and the sun shined off of his chest. Corvina blushed and looked away. It felt strange to be looking at him like that when he couldn't see her. Her blush went even deeper when he asked her about her most embarrassing moment. She could definitely think of a few. "W-what?" It seemed a personal question. She thought for a moment, trying to pick on that was embarrassing but not too much. "Well...when I was little, my dad told me about how there used to be milkmen that would wake up early and deliver milk to people. The next morning I got up early and filled some of the jars we had in our house with all the milk we had and went around my neighbors' houses and left the jars outside their doors...then there was the time I decided to be the neighborhood superhero."
