Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia felt a slight comfort in holding his hand, though She really wanted to help him. If only her powers allowed her to read people's minds or gave her the ability to look through their memories, that way she could know what was wrong. Sure She could always ask, but She didn't want to press the issue.

Don't ruin the moment, Talia. Make him happy!
"Thank you for tonight. I really enjoy being with you," She said smiling at him. Hopefully that would brighten him up just a little bit more. Though He was like a mountain, he still deserved to have a bright sun shining above him.

"Thanks," he smiled, "I had a lot of fun." The walk back was a bit quiet but it wasn't too much longer before they stood in front Talia's door once more. "Well I'm sorry I had to cut our visit short," he leaned it to kiss her, it seemed to be the only thing that made him feel better. The touch of lips that made him feel like someone cared.
Rayner watched Corvina and then watched Zander clean himself. He then did what he had always done - took in his surroundings. They were in a really secluded place. There were tall trees surrounding them and the mountain side stretched to the skies. But then Rayner heard it, an odd beeping sound echoing in the direction of the fall. It was very faint and extremely subtle. His eyes scanned the area again to make sure that he hadn't missed anything.

Birds...water...air...and beep? Rayner thought to himself. On the surface he kept calm but internally his mind was working to analyze everything. The beeping sound didn't consistently beep. Rayner heard it every 30 seconds or so. "So..." he started to say, though his blue eyes continued to scan the area one last time before landing back on Corvina. He smiled and crossed his arm across his shoulder, reaching up to pet Zander. "This is pretty cool, right?" He asked. He let his mind slowly let go of the sound. He had found it better in situations where he cannot figure out what it is.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Zander watched Corvina playing with the waterfall and he looked at it curiously. He hopped down from Rayner's shoulder and paddled over to the waterfall. His ears swivelled to catch the sound of the beeping. He looked at Corvina putted her hands in the water and slowly leaned his head forward to put his snout under the falling water. The force of the water started to push his head down and he pulled it out with a disgruntled yelp. Corvina laughed and scratched him behind the ear. "Yeah, this is really cool. Thanks for bringing me up here, I never would've known about this place."

Near the waterfall, Corvina could hear the beeping noise, just barely. She first few times she heard it, she thought it was just her imagination. After that, she realized that it wasn't just her imagination. "Hey, I think there might be something behind the fall." She kept her hands in front of her to keep from walking face first into a rock wall and walked under the waterfall.
When Corvina suggested that the beeping was coming from the fall, Rayner looked at her and at the water. At least he wasn't the only one that heard it. Despite how cold it was, Rayner stepped through the water. The force of the water came down on him hard, causing him to buckle his knees slightly before passing through the entire way. Once behind, there was a tall rock wall but looking up, he could see an opening about 10 feet above his head. Rayner reached up and attempted to grip one of the rocks to pull himself up, but they were too slippery.

"There's like a...opening of some sort back here!" Rayner yelled through the waterfall. "It's too high though, I can't reach it!" he announced. He scanned the damp and slippery area behind the waterfall once again to see if he could find some way up it. Nothing. The ledges he could climb on where way too slippery, covered in a slimy moss.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina frowned in thought. Zander had followed them into the fall to keep from being left behind. She picked him up and put him on her shoulder, where he seemed content to stay. "That's really high up. I don't think we could reach it even if I stood on your shoulders. She turned to Rayner. "It's already gotten pretty late. I think we have rock climbing gear at my house, if you want to come back and check this out tomorrow."
Rayner thought about it for a brief second before smiling. "Yeah, I think my dad had some old climbing gear as well...looks like we can go on another adventure." he said and soon they were out from behind the falls and walked back to the shore. He wrapped a towel around himself, dried off, and was soon ready to leave again. He waited on Corvina, making sure he was being a gentleman and giving her privacy to change.

Corvina backed out of the waterfall and waded out of the water. Once they were on dry ground again, Zander jumped down and shook his fur out. She smiled and ran over to grab her towel and backpack for her clothes. A couple minutes later, she'd changed and was coming out of the woods. As she walked, she tied her hair back into a ponytail. Zander was looking at the two of them impatiently, ready to leave. "Thanks for bringing me out here Rayner. Today was really fun."
"No, thank you for joining me. See, you can trust a serial killer like me." He joked. Soon enough they were on their way back into the town. It didn't take them that long to get back. The way back somewhere always seemed quicker anyways. Once they reached where they started, Rayner pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down his number. "You can call or text me." He explained. "Well it was fun hanging out again, I'll see you tomorrow!" he said and reached down to pet Zander before walking off the path back to his apartment.

Once he entered he took a quick shower and poured himself a bowl of cereal for dinner. He ate it quickly while he browsed the internet, researching the trails behind the town, and the waterfall that they visited today. "Hmmm..." he thought as he read some interesting things about the surrounding area.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina laughed. "Yeah, I guess you're a pretty trustworthy serial killer. That must mean you're good at your job if you can get people to trust you so easy." The walk back to town didn't seem to take near as long as it had taken to get up to the waterfall. Since it was later, shadows had started deepening under the trees, making it easier for Zander to hunt. She wasn't scared of the dark so the walk down felt as relaxing as the walk up had. She watched him scribble something on a piece of paper, wondering what he was doing until he handed it to her and explained. "Oh, um thanks." She blushed. Zander licked his hand when Rayner pet him and Corvina waved to him as they parted.

When she got home she found her dad napping in the living room. She texted a quick 'hey it's Corvina' to Rayner so he'd have her number too and took a quick shower. She was sitting down to a dinner for herself and Zander when she noticed the edge of an orange envelope peeking from under a book. Corvina brought it out and looked at it curiously. It had already been opened before so all she had to do was pull the papers out. As she started reading them her food lay on her plate, forgotten. Her eyes got wide and her face went pale. For several minutes, she sat frozen in her chair, reading and rereading the paper. Very carefully and delicately, she put the papers back in the envelope in the same order she'd pulled them out and gingerly lifted up the book to put the envelope back under. She had completely and utterly lost her appetite, giving her food to Zander who looked at her strangely. She peeked around the corner to see if her dad was still asleep--which he was--and quietly went up to her room.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia wished her kiss between Sam could last forever! Though the burning pain in her left arm caused her to pull back much quicker than wanted.
"Sorry Sam, I have something um to do. So I'll talk to you tomorrow," Talia quickly opened her door and closed it behind her. Once the door was closed, She slid down it and clutched her left arm. The intricate tattoo was glowing brightly and burning her flesh at the same time. This was Not and good sign, Whomever was dying needed her help urgently! She could see a thread of Fate slipping from the tapestry of life.

Though how would she get there? And What would she say once she got there? Talia sighed. That wasn't extremely important, She just needed to leave! Opening her door once more, She followed her instincts and headed towards the dying man. At least she could change another person's life, hopefully for the better
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina went through her preparations to get ready for bed in a numb haze. Zander whined and nosed her hand, but she didn't notice. She was in shock. Her mind was trying to comprehend what she'd just read in the envelope. Words around and around in her mind, not letting her focus on anything else and not letting her grasp a hold of them either. lung cancer...rare form...months...days...terminal. terminal. terminal. Her face was wet. She hadn't even realized she was crying. A pain ripped through her chest as the full weight of what was happening finally dawned on her. Her dad didn't just have a fever or a cold. He wouldn't get well after a few days. She'd thrown herself into all kinds of activities over the summer, trying to distract herself. It hadn't changed the truth. Corvina lay curled up into a small a ball as possible and buried her head into her pillow. Zander nudged her and was distressed but eventually curled up next to her, providing what comfort he could with his presence.

Sam slide Talia's envelope of money back under her door. His father had past away during the movie. If only he was a time traveling princess he could have saved his dad, but it was too late. Sam locked his doors and went to sleep, good date, bad day, as it was the last night Thorne cried himself to sleep. "If Talia saw me now..." He said to himself, "she would laugh."
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia reached the destination, though she felt sick. Somebody had died, dispite her changing their fate. This left her very confused, yet she placed that in the back of her mind. Right now She needed to focus on saving this person.

Before she knew what she was doing, Talia had already knocked on the door. Why had she done that?! Now someone would definitely come and open it. Then what would she say?!
Hey, is there anyone dying in there? I would like to wave my glowing hand over them and extend their life force! Talia mental scoffed at herself. Why did she not think when using her powers?! Secretly she hoped that no one would answer and the door would be left unlocked. It would be much easier that way and she could help the dying man and leave without anyone noticing!
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina was startled by the sound of someone at the door. Zander perked up his ears and made a low growling noise. Who could that possibly be?? She wondered if it might be Rayner and she felt worried. Corvina sat up. How could she explain her eyes puffy and red from crying or her sudden change in attitude? She sniffed and rubbed the tears out of her eyes. Hopefully she could feign that everyone in the home was out or asleep. Zander jumped up to her shoulder and licked her ear affectionately before settling down. Just in case, she made herself and Zander invisible as she went to one of the windows. She was surprised to see a girl outside the door. She looked familiar and it took Corvina a moment to realize why. She'd been in the park after that day that she'd met Rayner. But why was she here?
Rayner found himself staring at the computer for a bit too long. By the time he had realized that he had been sitting there and researching his town, it was already late - too late. He looked down at his phone and found a few messages, one from an unknown number. He read it and smiled before texting Corvina back.

Sweet, thanks! he wrote and sent the text.

The teenage boy soon got up and stretched himself out. Even though he had an active day, he wasn't sleepy. In fact, he was quite awake. He took a brief moment to look around his empty and dark apartment. There was nothing as usual...nothing to do. No one here. Just him. Rayner wasn't lonely though, in fact he liked being alone. He didn't have to worry about the problems that others have and concentrate on himself. Of course, he had friends. He has plenty of friends - but no one close.

"**** it..." Rayner said and soon zipped up his hooded jacket and threw on his tennis shoes. He left out of his front door and took off running in the streets. If he wasn't going to sleep he figured that he would do some freerunning when no one else was around to bother him.

Dreams of the better memories with his father filled his thoughts as Sam slept. Apart from Talia and an incarcerated mother he was utterly alone. He needed to go to the radio station tomorrow, Sunday may not have been his work day but he had to go in tomorrow, something to get his mind off ye ol dad. It wasn't like the father liked him all that much. He yelled, and went to bars and stuff but he had friends who were physically abused by their fathers. "At least you were a civilized drunk," Thorne laughed to himself.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia sighed. Since no one had opened the door yet and her arm would definitely not stop burning until she did something for the dying man, there was only one thing for her to do. Though Talia really hated it when she had to do this. Expelling her spirit from her body wasn't as magical and fun as it sounded, it hurt! Also not to mention that her body would be laying unconscious at the foot of the doorway, less anyone opened the door everything would be fine. Though if someone walked pass and freak out about her laying unconscious, Well, Talia would have some explaining to do.

As she felt her spirit leave her body, Talia made her way to or more like through the door of the house. She could sense the fading life of the man and yet two other presences, both of them oddly familiar. Though Talia ingored that and moved her way towards the dying man. He was sleeping, though by looks of it he would soon be developed in the eternal sleep of death. The truth was, Talia couldn't really do much for him, with her powers she could only extend is life for about a week or two and after that he would unfortunately meet his end.
"I'm so sorry," She whispered to his sleeping form, tears threaten to fall from her face. Talia longed to do so much more, to give him more time but to do that she would be giving him her life in return.
Would that be so bad? Her mind quickly questioned. She could give someone the gift of life and finally end her torment of seeing others die, but Talia knew that wasn't exactly the right thing she wanted, at least not now. If she could do this much, then it would still be of some good.
"I hope you'll use the time I gave you wisely..." She whispered, before her spirit returned to her physical form.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina waited and watched to see what the girl would do. Hopefully she'd give up and walk away, but she didn't. She was surprised and a little horrified to see the girl pass out and lie unconscious. Corvina quickly went to the door and opened it a crack. Zander seemed to be following something with his eyes and ears across the room, but she didn't take any notice. Could the girl just be faking to get whoever was inside to come out? She didn't want to take the risk that it might be otherwise and the girl might need help so she walked outside, just barely remembering to make herself become visible again before going out. It would be rather hard to explain if the neighbors saw doors opening and closing themselves at her house.

Corvina knelt by the girl, feeling her pulse and forehead. Her heart was still pumping and she didn't feel feverish. Corvina frowned and was just about to carry the girl inside when she seemed to stir. She stopped what she was doing and looked at the girl worriedly. "Are you alright?"
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

"Oww," Talia muttered before fully coming into consciousness. Her head felt like she had been hit with a ton of bricks and the nose bleed she also was having, wasn't any help either. But that even wasn't the main concerns, right now she had to worry about the girl that was hovering over her, asking if she was okay.
"Um, Yeah I'm perfectly fine. I just um," Talia quickly searched her mind for an easy lie.
"Hit my head..." She quickly said, hoping the girl would believe her. Lying wasn't really her best suit but with luck the girl wouldn't press for too much information.

"I'm Talia, by the way" She said, a small smile on her face despite the huge amount of pain she was in. Could this day get any worse?
