In a future setting either two or multiple fractions are at war or a threat has appeared that could wipe out the human race. Either way one of the conflicted sides has begun studying the power of the human mind with the goal to develop super solders who would give them an advantage in the conflict.
At the point where this RP begins the study already has numerous promising projects that revolve around various test subjects. Still the project that is given the most attention are two twin boys who have a merged consciousness. Most simply said the two have fully separate bodies but their minds are joined together and neither of them is capable of functioning properly due to it, instead they are stuck in a sort of vegetative state. Scientist are unsure how to fully awake them without hurting them or diminishing whatever ability they have. Willing to take a risk they decide to break the link between them using various procedures. As result one of them dies but the other wakes up and displays incredible powers, still now a new problem arises. The remaining twin, although healthy and a successful project becomes depressed and though he isn't intentionally hostile towards humans he has break downs which result in him loosing control over his ability for a short time.
In an attempt to stabilize him the scientist send another weaker project or a regular human whose personality is fitting for the boy to create a new different link with.

What i had in mind for the boy was a kind and good hearted character who is scared, hurt and unable to control himself. Young, most probably between 10 and 20 years of age and uneducated, maybe acting with much less maturity than he should have at his age. He would have never been in any kind of school and would lack skill in communicating and interacting with others so he would have to learn many things.
As for the person who they bring to bond with him, it can really be anyone but they would have to be "compatible" with him. If he disliked them too much or was afraid of them there would be no point in having them try to form a link.
I though that maybe the person would be very willing to become close to the boy in the beginning, do anything to make him happy but would try to distance them self from him later once they see him power or are hurt by it accidentally.
Of course more characters can fit into the plot like other experiments and scientists.

Hello! I am very much interested in this RP. I have an old character who was experimented on heavily in the hopes of utilizing more of the human brain as well as the human body. (And therefore has a lot of metal in her) She hates the scientists and the experiments, but is trapped at the facility due to her abilities. ((She can therefore be a scientist or an old experiment herself))

My only concern about the boy is that for such a project I cannot imagine that the scientists didn't decide to educate the boy so that he would be stable, easier to manage if things got out of hand. Also if they were to be educated to eventually be super soldiers it would make more sense that he has had quite a bit of education. Whether the education bothers him or not (or if the death of his twin effected it) can be up to you.

Please do not let me change anything you are set upon! I might not be the right person to RP for this scenario, but I am totally loving the setting of this RP. Let me know what you think!

I fully understand what you're trying to say concerning his education. Still, i started with the assumption that he was unable to learn before he was separated from his brother. I'm not sure about this detail yet, but the two of them were linked either from birth or from a very young age (less than five years certainly) and from the moment the link between them was established to the moment it was broken they remained in a vegetative state. I can't describe that well what that actually means so i suggest you google it if you don't already know. Basically it's similar to a coma but the person is awake, they have their eyes open and don't need support to breathe and stay alive but they are mostly unresponsive to outside influences.

It's alright if some things get changed. There are a few details i really wouldn't edit but other than that this is just a basic outline of a plot and it still needs some work. It would be good if i could gather a few people who could help build on this with their characters and ideas.

Oh I see! I was under the impression this all happened when he was older, instead of younger. My mistake. So you would like to introduce a character that can bring him out of the vegetative state? Or would you like him to begin another mind bond with another character? The same character of mine (a girl) could easily be paired with him if this was the case. (although I will say I would be excited to have her possibility mind join)

I was thinking that scientists would wake him up fully through different methods. Though now that i think about it maybe that method could be a third person with abilities. This would be a different character from the one who creates a link with the boy later, they would just be someone rather powerful or having a particular talent which makes them fit for the job of separating the two. Maybe a silent and serious character who follows orders or someone along those lines who could reveal a bit about the boys history as an experiment (since im expecting the scientist to be secretive and not explain the situation fully to the person making a new link with the boy, and maybe even he himself would need to know more about what happened to him and his brother while they were still together).

Still i agree, i think it would be best to have your female character make a new link with the boy and start from that adding other central and supporting characters as needed.

I still want to RP with you, why wouldn't i?
I don't have a name but finding one won't be a problem i just haven't started searching yet.

I like what you're thinking! I have a character -- my girl's father, who was the one to begin experimenting on her in the first place. He's a rather powerful scientist, even though his reputation isn't as clean as his coat. He is available, if you need him.

Well my girl's name is Shubasu, and his Farrius if you need ideas, but they are easily changed if neccisary.

Sorry, I’m half asleep while writing this but i wouldn't like to leave it without a reply.

We should maybe figure out how exactly the experimentation works. Where it takes place, is it secret or public and if people are aware of it are there any problems, like protesting against the way these test subjects are being treated. Also are these gifted individuals treated well or roughly, with little regard to their feelings. Just figure out things about the study itself.
I think it would be best if we tried to stay away from clichés if we decide to go over these questions.
I'm guessing most of the RP will be going on in facilities so we could maybe think up a layout for one of those buildings.

I have a name for the boy (Feo, i think it sounds nice?). I would have made a profile for him already today but school is becoming a bother so ill write and post it tomorrow

Since this is your world, I think you should call the shots, but I'll throw my input in too. I love secrets, and maybe this world loves secrets coming out. Like gossip. Everyone knows everyones doing something wrong but when it comes out its like a bit party or something twisted. (cue evil laughter here)

Well about the gifted' different treatments, I think it depends on what those children are "gifted with" I suppose. Soldiers are equipped to do many things, and certain tasks are assigned to certain people. (leadership, recon, observation, sniping, hacking, language etc). My girl is more towards the technology/linguistics spectrum if that helps. :>
