Fallon pulled herself up onto a chair in the lounge of the big dormitory lobby. She flipped through the notebook and her cat gingerly licks her paws, and perches up on the side table, swinging her tail. Fallon rubbed her eyes tiredly. she hadn't gotten much sleep. People usually wondered why she was enrolled at this school. She had no powers, and had absolutely no odd features. She was just a normal girl. Or so she seemed...
Scarlet picked up her dog, claw, then walked up to her dorm.
(If no one minds, I am going to join and make a post here. If need be I can just remove it I think.)
The cool morning breeze blew by as I stood at the gates to the school grounds. I was late, latter than I liked but late none the less. I didn't like being late. However here i was, standing at this gate, dressed in my normal white robe, trimmed with a one inch black margin. It was by all means meant for people like me but robes like this were not sold in stores. No, you had to make yours, and that took a good chunk of magical talent to achieve. I would have to change into my black thinner set latter. It suited better with this lovely morning.
The grounds keeper opened the gate. "Your business young sir?" I pulled en envelope from the folds of my robe and handed it over. He opened it and took out the half sheet of paper just big enough to fit inside and read it before nodding. My name, well many people knew it. I was not exactly an unknown character. I had a reputation for experimenting with magic and the last three schools i was in, well, they couldn't take it. They kicked me out. Something about collateral damage which I swear was never intended. No one ever got hurt! Well, nothing living and breathing anyway. One could argue inadimant objects had feeling but then that's another story for another time.
Once permitted to pass I took the letter back and headed up the pass to the school itself. By all means it was impressive. I have seen a few well built castle like schools but this one gave off a much more appealing look, especially with the outside gardens. The best part, was that people actually were hanging around. The other three schools were so much smaller than this. And less...well...less alive. This one however was lit with life and activity. My things i knew were on their way still. I got here before my personal affects. Something about a delayed transport. Excuses. I don't like things being late. Mainly my things.
However, I had one thing I kept on my person at all times. A book I carried even now in my right hand. Its title was one that would make people turn their nose in another direction or give me a look like i was some whacked up loon who was purely bad. No, this was apart of who i was. That is what it was to me and i saw no reason to ever have to explain myself in that regard to anyone. The title said, A Guide to the Shadows.
With some more walking, turning and again more walking, I sat down at a table in the great hall and looked around at the food laid out. For the most part I ignored the presence of those around me as at this moment two things were on my mind. Food, and my book. I took a few things, nothing major and started to much on it for a while, not really caring about what it was. For me, taste was of little concern. Food was food and food gave energy, energy needed for the magic I was use too.
I laid the book on the table, rested my arm on it and looked about finally. What I found was that most people here had a pet. With that in mind I would have to have a talk with my own about some ground rules. Even as I thought of it, I heard a scream of surprise and another that hinted fear in the halls. Just after, a small, no bigger than my arm, dragon flew in and landed on my shoulder. The Iron colored hide glittered in the light as it settled down and nuzzled my hand that rested on the side of the book. The whole dragon had the look of being made of iron, as if it was not real. That was the trick though. It was a tool this creature could use to decisive its enemies or even blind others with enough effort.
I stroked its head a little. "Stay close for today and behave. You know the rules and you better follow them. Now let me finish eating." I half whispered, ignoring the weird looks I was getting from a few people passing by. I stroked a hand through my messy black hair and continued eating.

Scarlet flame listened to remixes while studdying. Claw paced around the room. He was bored. No surprise there. He nudged Scarlet then looked towards the treats. She tossed him one. Scarlet then got back to her studdying. She said to Caw, "so, fire can easely destroy plants... I'm going to have to remember that for some battless..."
Eliza walked in the doors unoticed as a shadow before she climed the stairs and entered scarlets room
{kk! Hi eleri! ^.^} Ariel walked down the halls of the school, occasinally using magic to make mini holes in the wall. She didnt want to be here, not at all. All theese happy faces angered her. She wore a large cloak,to hide her face because The last thing she needed was sombody reconising her. The long halls gave her a headache. It was like a ongoing maze. She ignored stares and kept walking. Ariel took a deep breath and sat on the floor. She had walked about 3 miles down the hallways and needed to stop for a break.
Eliza then bumped into a girl wearing a cloak and she could see through her disguise.
Ariel shuddered, hoping it was just a accidental bump. "Watch were you are going.." She mumbled and kept walking, faster this time.
Eliza looked over her shoulder at her but then carried on.
Looking back I noticed a commotion but pade it almost no interest. This place was weird in it's own way. A bunch of people like this in one spot was rare enough. For a moment i might even be amused about it. For now i kept to myself and minded my own business. For now I just watched and kept a low profile. I was happy so long I didn't attract attention. So far that was working or so I thought.
Having second thoughts she turned a corner and saw him.
Noticing after a moment that someone spotted me, my only hope was they did not know who I was. It would be nice if no one did but I didn't count on it. Looking back I decide to give her a friendly smile. Least I could do. If I was going to be here I should make friends. You never know when they could be helpful. A moment latter the dragon that otherwise was occupied eating looks up at me finished and nuzzles my neck playfully. "Latter." I groan.
(Hi! ) Scarlet looked at the window. She'd left it open. Suddenly, her paper blew accross the room. She went and closed the window. "Great," she then saw claw chewing on her paper, "Claw! Stop it!" Claw stopped. She replyed, "thankyou!"
Suddenly Ariel collapsed into the wall. It worked, the elves were trying to destroy her for what she did. Being evil had its ups and downs. She screamed, knowing knowbody would help her. "Help! Sombody!"
The scream that echoed into the room caught my attention. I looked over at the dragon. "Do the trapped person a favor please?" I asked. For a moment the dragon showed no interest in the situation but the moment i raised an eyebrow it gave a sigh like movement and flew off in the direction. I watched as it landed on the wall that seamed to be screaming. The dragon began to breath on the wall, making it slowly start to vanish like it never was there in the first place.
I nodded as that was done and decided that I should talk to someone. So getting up, I headed over to the person who had noticed me earlier, or at least looked like they noticed me. Thinking of an excuse for a conversation, I decided to go with something more, ordinary. "Greetings my lady. If I may, could you direct me to the common room I am assigned. This place is large and I have yet to get my bearings." Keeping my poster well formated, i kept an almost formal voice. I needed to work on that still.

Ariel sighed. And nodded at the dragon. "Th-thank you." She muttered and got up. deciding it was easier too sit down, she took a deep breath and rested by the wall. She was at least glad nobody had noticed her.
The dragon nuzzled the girls hand in its own way of saying your welcome before plopping to the floor next to her and looking up at her with a playful expression. I glanced over just to be sure it was behaving. Satisfied I quickly returned my attention to the person I had approached.
