"Oh, ok then, thanks for the help." he said to the jester. He exited the tent, slightly disappointed. "Well that was a bust. Can't be helped, guess I'll just head to manor and..." He stopped mid sentence as he saw Jerry's strange display. "What's he doing?" he questioned, but he soon got his answer when the boys finger firmly landed on him.

Rayn saw how Jerry was pointing at him. "Hey kid I take it you want to battle?" Rayn asked Jerry. He picked a pokeball off his belt and held it. "One versus one or three on three?" He asked again.

(Um ok then?)

"Blastoise," Storm said, "Your up buddy." The Goliath stepped forward, his cannons shot out of the top of its shell and he shouted his name up into the sky. Storm's Blastoise was a strong one, It knew Hydro Cannon, Iron Defense, Skull Bash, and Rapid Spin. As the lady called out her first pokemon Storm shouted, "Iron Defense!" And Blastoise's shell shined with a silvery glow for a moment and then returned to its original state. Who had the voodoo lady sent out?

"Your up baby," Sableye jumped down from her shoulder, whispering its name in succession. Storm had called the first move, and Melodia knew she had to act fast because Blastoise was a very tanky Pokemon.

"Shadow ball!" She yelled and a small purplish black orb formed between her pokemon's hands. It shot forward fairly quickly towards Blastoise. It hit Blastoise full on but dissipated, Sableye wasn't known for his attack or defense, his combat was pretty weak too. But his speed, the little guy could dart around for hours.

"Shadow Sneak," She called out, Sableye vanished from sight, invisible he shifted around the shadows. When would he strike?

"You!" Jerry points at Nick. "You will be my first opponent!" He spun three times around and, his Pokemon team dropping various costume pieces on top of him until he looked like some kind insane knight. "Send out your first Pokemon, that I might best it in the field of battle!"

Nick couldn't help but sweat drop at the display, it was one of those moments were you see someone do something so embarrassing that you feel embarrassed for them. However, he understood that he wanted a battle, and that was all he needed.
"A battle huh..." He said, recalling the rules of the tournament. "...Alright, I'll have to battle other trainers anyway, I accept." He announced as he walked over, standing before Jerry just far enough for appropriate battle space.
"Alright, I wasn't able to get that last minute training in, but I've still trained plenty for this. Time to see if all paid off." He thought to himself as he reached for his belt and grabbed a pokeball.
"Alright, I'll start things off. Go, Gengar!" He exclaimed as the through the Pokeball and out came Gengar, saying his name as a battle cry.

"You're up, Maraca!"
Jerry's Wobbuffet hopped forward and spat out a pair of white socks.
"Dude, you seriously need to stop eating that stuff..." Jerry snapped out of his momentary distraction to get his head back in the game. "Right! Let's do this!!"

((Okay, so how do we want these battles to work? Game style, with dice and and turns and stuff, or Anime style which is a total freaking free-for all? I'm good either way.))

Storm looked over to the battle next to them, "Nick?" He laughed, "Whats up ni..." Sableye landed his shadow ball. Storm had to focus, now the runt was invisible. "Earthquake!" He called, Blastoise looked back at him, "Oh yeah we gave that up for our new move, TUCK YOUR HEAD IN!"

The Sableye hit it's mark but Blastoise countered with a strong skull bash sending the little guy flying backwards! Storm ten focused his attention back at Nick, "It' been a long time since Black Thorn!" Storm had grown up in the north Johto region, He had a Squirtle the same time Nick had his Pikachu! They had grown up together, but when after they finished in that region, they went their separate ways.

Melodia

It didn't do a lot of damage, but Sableye was small. Melodia knew he just had to get a feel for how Storm used for his Blastoise, "Double Team!" Melodia yelled, Sableye became a bunch of different shadowy duplicates.

"Now!" She yelled, "Zen headbutt!" The Little guy charged full speed at the giant Blastoise, head on. Break his defense, come on! Sableye was pretty low leveled, but he had a will to fight like no other. "Saye, NOW!"

"Rapid spin!" Storm called and Blastoise jumped up into the air, dodging Sableye's attack and began to spin downwards crushing Sableye under his spinning shell. The shell angled backwards as it threw the little dark pokemon's body back across the ground coming to a halt right in front of it's trainer. "Good Job Blastoise!" Storm looked over to Rayn, "Your next!" He laughed.

Melodia

Sableye had fainted, Storm's Blastoise was strong but Melodia did have a secret weapon, it was probably too soon to pull it out but she didn't care. It was definitely too soon for the competitors to think she was weak. "Return Saye," a red beam focused out of the pokeball and Sableye's body vanished into its' glow.

Her hand stroked the dusk ball in her hand, this pokemon wasn't high leveled but its power was to be reckoned with, "Introduce!" She yelled and a deep black skinned cackle filled the air, "Darkrai!" The Pokemon was tall and stood with honor and intent.

"Dark Void!" And a black smoke like orb shot towards Blastoise, who ever was trapped by this would fall into a deep nightmare filled sleep. Melodia smiled, "What now, hero boy?"

"Wobbuffet huh, this is gonna be tricky." Nick whispered to himself. His opponent was a psychic type, and while ghost was super effective against psychic, psychic was also super effective against ghost, couple that with Wobbuffet's high defenses and Nick was in for a tough battle.
"Alright, I guess I'll start, Gengar, let's kick things off with Night Shade!" he said, Gengar responding by shooting a ray of dark energy from it's eyes straight at the opponent.

"Hydro Cannon!" Storm yelled hoping to push back the black misty orb advancing on his friend. A powerful blast of water bubble in his cannons and shot three blasts, right, left, right! They all passed straight threw the Dark Void attack, and the first one missed the Darkrai distracting him while the second two headed straight towards him! Unfortunately Blastoise was hit by the Dark Void, it did no damage but the giant fell hard to the ground... Fast asleep.

Darkrai had dodged the first water sphere but fell right into the second two! "Darkrai NO!" Melodia yelled knowing that despite her pokemons' powerful attack and blinding speed, defense wasn't the strongest for this walking nightmare.

Darkrai struggled to get up, "Nightmare!" She called, a move that would torment Blastoise and damage his health as he slept, "Follow up with Dream Eater," a move that absorbed health the longer he slept.

Blastoise may have a strong defense and a powerful attack, but he was recieving non-physical damage, the kind that was unaffected by his Iron Defense. "How long can your partner hold out?" Melodia laughed, "Dream Eater once more!"

Storm withdrew his Blastoise, he didn't know when the big lug would wake up and he couldn't afford to continue to let his pokemon take hits like that. Moves that over looked his partners defense weren't the kind he wanted Blastoise to be taking while he was trapped in nightmares for the next few minutes.

"Now how do I counter a Darkrai?" Storm joked, "Good thing I have two Raquazas," A pokeball was thrown into the air, "Steelix your up!" A giant steel snake appeared its roar echoed through the island. The point of this choice was to scramble the Darkrai's balance if he got his dark void in Storm would be doomed to return another pokemon, Steelix knew Earthquake, Iron Tail, Crunch, and Wrap. "Steelix Earthquake!" Storm called, shaking not only his battle with Darkrai but possibly damaging Gengar and Wobbafett. Maybe not the best idea but another pokemon asleep wasn't an option, at least Darkrai's health was still pretty low after taking the Hydro Cannon attack moments earlier.
