"You know the drill! ((I was gonna use this move regardless of what move you would use)) Mirror Coat!" The Wobbuffet took the black wave of power, but an instant later it returned that power at double force. "Nice one! I've never seen anyone take this guy out in one hit, ever! With a Gengar involved, I think this round is pretty much in the bag." Jerry leans down next the whatever a Wobbuffet uses for ears, and whispered to it to ready another Mirror Coat.

Darkrai shook with the earth a large crack shattered its stance and it toppled to the ground crushed by the massive amounts of shifting earth. He could probably take some more hits, but the more the ground grinded the more Melodia saw that Darkrai, her prized jewel was done fighting unless she could stop the earths uneasy movement so he could cast another Dark Void.

"Dark Pulse!" Melodia called out, but it was too late, Darkrai fainted and fell to the ground, "Return!"

The same red glow met Darkrai's body. She pondered for a moment, she had to take out a Steelix with full health, "Go! Stoutland!"

With no real fire type this was Melodia's best option since this pokemon knew fire fang. It's stats were pretty round as well. Stoutland was a noble partner who was loyal till the very end, she needed to take this giant steel monster down a peg, "Hyper Beam!" She yelled, Stoutland's strongest attack.

Gengar was nailed with his own attack, Nick mentally slapped himself for not seeing that coming, but there was nothing he could do about that now.
"Gengar, you ok?" He asked, to which Gengar responded with a determined cry of the first syllable of his name. "Alright, he's not the only one with a trick or two up his sleeve. Gengar, use hypnosis!" He commanded, and Gengar shot a hypnotic beam from his hands. It was not blocked by Mirror Coat due to it not being a special move, and so Wobbuffet was put right to sleep. "Now, Dream Eater!" Gengar obeyed, absorbing Wobbuffet's health and restoring some that was taken from him. "Alright, let's keep up the pressure, Shadow Ball!" Gengar formed a dark, shadowy ball of energy in his hands and chucked it at his opponent, it would do a great amount of damage if it connected.

"Crap! Always start with Safeguard!! Stupid! Stupid!" He called back his Wobbuffet after that serious beating it received ((maybe wanna stick to no more than two moves per post). "Go Roxie!" He sent out his Vulpix to the fight. "Time to beat it at its own game! Confuse Ray!" The Vulpix sent out a bright flash onto the battle field after the ghost.

"Dodge!" Storm yelled, but not soon enough, Steelix took the powerful blow slamming down on the ground, "Iron tall," it whipped its tall around the field smashing Stoutland throwing its body into a near by tree, "Follow up with Crunch!" The metal Pokemon rushed at the Stoutland thick teeth showing in its open mouth, about ready to take a bite out of this mutt of a pokemon, "Hyper beams recharge is a pain isn't it!" He yelled as Steelix went in for the Crunch.

(Yeah, the Shadow Ball was kind of overkill, sorry)

"Dodge it!" But it was too late, Gengar was hit by the attack and was now confused, struggling to even stand up right. "Damn it, alright Gengar, that's enough for now, return." he said as he returned Gengar back to his Pokeball, he didn't want to deal with the confusion, with his luck it wouldn't be a fun time. "Alright, Gliscor you're up!" he exclaimed as he threw another Pokeball and out came a shiny Gliscor, a brief flash of sparkling light emanating from it. "Let's start with Swords Dance!" With that, Gliscor's claws glowed and extended into swords as he did a couple of flashy, Kata, like moves. "Now, get him with an X-Sissor!" Gliscor's claws glowed once again and he formed an X with them as he came down upon the Vulpix.

The move connected, but Vulpix's type-resistance allowed her to endure the hit. "Crap... okay, time to take one for the team! Will-O-Wisp!" The Vulpix spat out a volley of blue fireballs at the Gliscor. "Great! That bur will eat away at its stamina, and cut down on that attack boost! Now then, hit it with Confuse Ray for good measure!" The Vulpix heard and obeyed, sending out another flash of light.

"Oh no you don't, dodge it with Arial Ace!" Gliscor's wings glowed as it effortlessly flew around the ray and nailed Vulpix from the sky, he took some damage from his burn, but not much due to his ground typing. "Nice, now put on another Swords Dance for good measure." Gliscor obeyed, once again dancing around with his sword like claws.

"Protect," Melodia called out and Stoutland barked it's name creating a greenish tealish orb around the dog Pokemon.

Steelix's teeth slammed against the barrier and the Pokemon backed off for a second. "Fire fang!" Stoutland took advantage of its shield rushing around the side of its foe and bit the side of Steelix's face.

Fire seared burning Steelix badly, "What now, Storm boy?" Melodia had gained her confidence back in this battle a little.

((The Burn Status does a set amount of damage, regardless of type))

The attack send the Vulpix spiraling back to its trainer. "No, no, no, not good." He recalled his Pokemon and sent out a Beartic in its place. "That's it! No more Mr. Nice Guy! Cola, hit it with Icicle Crash!" The large bear inhaled deeply and belched out a barrage of frozen spears.

"Dodge it!" Gliscor tried it's best to avoid the hell storm of ice spikes rushing toward him, but one managed to hit it's mark, causing major damage, super effective. On top of that Gliscor was hurt with burn, he was barely holding on.
"Damn it, Gliscor, return." He returned Gliscor to it's pokeball. He wasn't in too bad a shape, despite his Gliscor nearly finished, Gengar wasn't hurt too bad, and he still had one Pokemon waiting in the wings, and he knew just which one to use.
"Alright, here it goes, Infernape let's go!" Nick cried as he sent out his Infernape, crying out its name as it lowered into a battle stance.
"I definitely have a type advantage, but that Beartic looks pretty strong, and by the looks of it, you know he'll be pulling out all the stops for this one... let's just hope I can guide Infernape to a win." With his mental preparation complete, he turned his attention back to the battle.
"Infernape, Mach Punch, go!" he instructed. Infernape's fist glowed and within a second he was up in Beartic's face, landing the punch right in his gut, the sheer momentum sending the hulking beast, sliding back.

"Hang in there, Cola!" The light turned on in Jerry's head. "Okay! Bulldoze" The Beartic took a deep breath and began shaking the ground with its forepaws, churning rocks and dirt around.

Steelix wasn't too badly damaged but Storm didn't want to get him to badly burned, this was only the first battle of the competition. "Return Steelix," Steelix moaned its name as it disappeared from the battle. It had been enough time Storm thought to himself, "Rise and shine Blastoise!" The lug appeared once more, his eyes started to open and he stood up, hearing and obeying the command of his trainer. "Iron Defense!"

Blastoise was Storms first Pokemon, he had been with him the last six years and had grown big and strong with love and compassion. Many team mates joined and swapped in and out of Storms team but Blastoise stayed. He was a little over six foot, taller then his six foot one master, this was odd since most Blastoise were between five foot and five five. The creature's shell glowed once more as he braced for Stoutland's next attack.

Nick began to panic, if that attack made contact it would cause some major damage. Nick thought quickly, he needed a move to counter it.
"Got it, Infernape, Rock Climb!" Infernape complied, he stomped on the ground just as the earth began to shake, causing a large cliffside to appear from the ground. The attack was able to take the initial shock, but the damaging wave still made it up the cliff at a lesser intensity, hitting Infernape. It was damaging, but not as damaging as it would've been otherwise.
"Damn, that was close." he said with relief. Infernape didn't seem too hurt, but with a move like that, he needed to finish this quickly. "Alright, Infernape, Flame Wheel, go!" Infernape covered himself in flames and spun forward with great speed, it rolled down the mountain and was approaching Beartic fast.

The Beartic, not being a terribly quick Pokemon, took the hit full on. But being a beast of a beast, it took the hit, falling to one knee rather than its back. "Holy! Cola, you're still up! I knew you could do it!" Jerry was loath to subject her to these seemingly unbeatable odds, but his trainer's spirit wouldn't let him give up just yet. "One more time Cola! Bulldoze!"

The Beartic raised its great paws and slammed them into the ground, sending out another tremor at the red monkey.

"Jump!" Nick ordered, and so Infernape leaped up into the air before the move could make contact. "It's now or never, Flare Blitz!" In an instance Infernape was engulfed in a flurry of blue flames, the odd coloring a sign of it's incredible power. Infernape lunged, coming down at Beartic full force until he slammed right into it, with the exceptionally powerful move. Of course, power like that comes at a price and as such Infernape received some recoil damage, Nick just hoped that it would be worth it.

((Win or lose, this makes me feel like I'm playing the freaking anime. I love it!))

"Move it!" Jerry and his Beartic jumped in opposite directions to avoid the Infernape. Even so, the great bear couldn't stand up after the movement. "Oh no, this isn't going to work. Cola, return!" He called back his ailing partner and pointed to his Togekiss. "You're up, Jett! Use fly!" The Togekiss cooed and darted into the sky.

(you can only use three pokemon)

Jerry drops his head. "Awe man... that's a bummer. My first battle here is a failure. Oh well. That just means that I have higher to climb, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do!" His three remaining Pokemon performed another dramatic pose with him, only this time Jerry's ridiculous costume fell off, leaving him in his street clothes.
