Seeing how the ground was electrified Rayn looked around to see an idea. "Zoroark start this off with a double team." He said them the illusion fox pokemon leaped into the air and made several copies of itself. There were now nine zoroark's around. But only one was real. They would all move in sync and use the bandanna's and decorations from the festival to keep into the air and off the ground. "Now use dark pulse." Rayn said. Then the fox pokemon and all it's clones put there hands together and the black energy gathered and they all fired. From several different directions all of them fired. The Luxray would have a bit of trouble doglegging all of them.
(I vote we do a dice roll to see when you attack if you hit the real one. So it will be out of 6. 1 or 2 is a hit 3-6 is a miss. What do you think?)

"Brace for impact," Storm could guess and try attack the real one, or he could try to dodge. But the problem with these is during the dodge or attack he would be guessing at an enemy, and the key to a swift victory, especially in one on one, is to take you foe down in the least number of attacks as possible. The Dark Pulse slammed into Luxray from the right, "Discharge Now!" The Pokemon charged its power and a burst of electricity tore through Zoroark's body, and he slammed to the dock landing on one of many thunder mines waiting for him, this shocked the Pokemon once more. "You see I could have guessed on which was the real one to strike or dodge from," Storm explained, "or I can take a hit from your Zoroark and use the direction I was hit from to know where exactly you are." Storm was enjoying this lesson immensely, "and with the Electric Terrain in effect for five (turns) minutes, I got a double hit on you while you only got one."
"Well your a clever one." Rayn said. From the impressive move Zoroark was about one third of his full energy down. "Fortunitly I come prepared. Use dig!" He ordered. Zoroark growled and quickly burrowed into the ground. He took a little bit of a hit due to the electrified ground. But now he was under ground. Thanks to the way he moved he went onto the mainland off the main pier. This way there was plenty of rock and dirt o hide in. If the luxray followed him down he would hit him with a shadow ball attack.
(Now just so we are clear after the hit they moved to the land so dig is possible. Sorry it was slipping my mind a bit. xD)

Storm noticed the Zoroark moved to the dirt, but Luxray hadn't moved off the dock. She was safe as long as she was surrounded by her Electric Terrain, "You can't come up anywhere close to my Pokemon from that angle, but I do honor the valid attempt to use a ground type move," Storm backed up a bit, as did Luxray securing their position on the dock. "If type advantage is the only trick you have up your sleeve you better pack and get ready for a ferry ride!" Storm laughed, "Luxray, Discharge as soon as Zoroark shows its head above ground." There was about twenty feet between rock and dock, that means she would have at least ten seconds to send pulses of lightning through the fox Pokemon once more. Not to mention all the mines he'd cross trying to reach Lux. This kid had a lot to learn indeed.
"Oh I have a plan. But do you know any other moves other then discharge?" Rayn said jokingly. "Zoroark use double team and exit the ground. Then follow it up with shadow ball." Inside the hole Zoroark made eight clones of himself and had all of them jump out and split up in order just out of a discharges range. "Once you fire dig again for safety." He said. The nine fox pokemon charged and fired their ghost attack. A discharge would be able to counter them all if done right.
"Stand down Lux," Storm smiled, he had been expecting a charge down the pear toward him. The boy was smarter then that, but not too smart. Luxray's body sparked a bit but it faded quickly. The hole Zoroark went in was in range of discharge but where his clones pop out were not. This was true but what was also true is that Discharge has more range then Shadow Ball during the day. The seven or eight shadow balls got smaller, the closer to Lux they got and had vanish before they reached her. They way shadow ball worked was in day time its range was a two dozen feet or so, in the shadows it doubled, and at night time it tripled. But Luxray and Storm sat on the end of a dock with no over hang or shield from the sun in the middle of the afternoon. Because this was the case the shadow ball's only effect was a pleasant cool breeze to complement this humid day. "Gonna have to be smarter then that boy."
"Indeed." Rayn said a bit taken in by the moves failure. This never happened before as he had always used Zoroark in the dark of forests and he was his newest pokemon only being with him a bit over three weeks. "So can I ask you a question? Where are you from?"
"Blackthorn City, Jotoh," Storm smiled, "but I hated it, small towns in scattered forests as soon as I got my first Pokemon I was out of there." He had traveled the whole world, seen almost everything in the last decade but where he ended up after every long trip was Orre. Phanic city, the city of water where his uncle was the Gym leader. "So I wouldn't say I'm from there anymore, I'm from Pokemon, fore I would not be where I was today without them, I would be nothing without my friends."
Didi burst into the tent, out of breath and overall exhausted. She panted with her hands on her knees, her ghostly white hair dripping with sweat from the sun and her jog. "Sign... Sign up... (pant) I want sign up for the tournament please! Am I too late? I have a team, I just need to..." She stretches and breathes in slowly, looking around the tent. Her Wurmple sits on her shoulder and mutters it's name in awe of all the new sights.
The ring master walked up behind Didi (with out her knowing it)
". . .. yes".. he bows and smiles "technically you are to late . . ."
he thinks to himself for a moment "but far be it for me to stop she who may be destined to become champion?.. . . prove to me that you have what it takes in a battle and you'll be in"
*he gets 2 of his pokeballs ready

"WHAT? IN THE TENT? Well okay. But don't blame me if you don't have a tent after this. Uh..." She pulls out a pokeball from her small backpack and hesitates, trying to decide which pokemon to use. "Well here goes." She tosses her pokeball awkwardly and out pops a Forretress, who lands with an audible clunk on the ground. "Uh... Let me see your pokemon now."
of your attitude is quite charming" (many of the performers move to the stands and you see that in this cicres tend there is a battlefield on the ground he smile big and throws out Mr. Mime (this Mr. Mime was in clown make up that gave it a moon shape over it's left eye a red nose and show white skin
"you go first"
"you go first"
Didi blushes when she realizes she hadn't noticed the main part of the tent. "Oh... My bad." With intense effort, she picks up Forretress and carries him over to the field to place him in a better position. "Okay, ready. Forretress, Magnet Rise! Don't go too high though, Gravity would be a dangerous move. Now Light Screen!"
"Thats pretty cool. I am from Hoenn. I was in Unova for a short time when I got this invite to come here. I was following a lead I found. I caught this zoroark there. When I got the invite I was curious and so I came here. No idea how they found me or why they invited us all but what are you gonna do." He said with a small sigh.
The e Electric Terrain had dissipated, "I want to train you boy," Storm pulled out his pokeball and returned his Luxray, "Your strong, strong enough to win the competition." Storm hadn't ever trained a person before and was a little nervous about the possibility of it one not working, or two being a waste of both trainers time, "I've been may places to many competitions, this one is no different, mysterious at first but in the end the only real fun is the last battle or two once the weaklings are routed out."
Melodia
Her Pokemon now at full health Sableye climbed back on to her shoulder, "It's ok baby, can win them all."
She was a bit disappointed she should have probably gone with her water Pokemon against Steelix instead of betting on Stoutland's Fire Fang. And shouldn't have shown the competitors her Darkrai just yet but everyone makes mistakes.
"We got a hell of a lot of training to do don't we Saye," the dark Pokemon smiled and spoke his name as Melodia exited the Pokemon center, "then we should get to it."

"Train me? Look I find I don't need you to train me. But I will be more then happy to spar and work with someone of your integrity." He said returning his Zoroark. "I would also like for you not to call me kid." He said smirking.
This wasn't the one, "nah, it's all or nothing kid," Storm walked past Rayn and headed for the Pokemon center, "next time we meet it be in your best interest to not try and start small talk during a battle." And with that Storm was now inside the Pokemon center. He gave his guys to the nurse inside, "Jerry Jay," he said to himself, "maybe he's the one..."
"Huh? Odd guy. Well no point sitting around." And thus he walked off into the festivities enjoying the scenari and looking for a good place to stay or someone to battle.
Pyrrhus watched the battles from what he believed to be a safe distance, he had never seen a Steelix before and it was a gargantuan beast. Not wanting to get shown up by these other pokemon the Arcanine dashed out into the open and used Roar hoping to get somebodies attention.
