Elly sat, trying to convince anyone who would listen that she was truly a princess, but it was not sitting well for most people. No one really thought she could be telling the truth with her tattered dress and dirty face.

Her curly ginger hair was getting in her face and the longer the day went on, the more pissed off she felt about being ignored. It was true that she didn't look like a princess, but she was! She really was.

She bowed her head, "Can someone give me a coin so I can eat today?"

A gruff man, who worked near where she begged, looked to her, "No one believes your lies missy and no one rewards liars here!"

Chris was new to town, He was passing through and was stocking up on supplies and sharpening his weapons and polishing his armour, He got a bite to eat and walked down the streets of the town, nodding to anyone he saw.

He then saw Elly, begging and the man insulting her "Please now, Leave the beggar alone" he says walking over to Elly, He had a soft spot for these kind of folks, The ones who were less fortunate than others. He handed her a small coin purse, and if she opened it she would find fifty coins inside it, Sure it was eighty present of what eh had left after visiting here, But he just could not help but be kind to her

Elly looked up at the stranger, her eyes wide, "Really? Are you certain? You are a very kind gentleman!" She stood and curtsied dramatically with a smile, "Oh thank-you so very much! My father will surely repay you ten-fold!"

The man who had insulted her rolled his eyes and put a friendly hand on the boy's shoulder, "You shouldn't encourage this behavious."

He looked at the man "I will do what I want" he says and looks at the girl "...father? If you have a father that could repay me ten fold why are you begging?" he asked with a very curious look, It just did not add up in his head. How could this happen or work? He decided to wait for her to explain things too him

Elly sighed with melodramatic flair, "My father lives so far away, but where we're from, he is king!" She sat and brought her hands to her eyes as she began to cry, but there was no hiccoughs or sobs, only tears with an occasional sniffle, "I was taken away from him. I was taken by a bad man, but I escaped. It was a daring deed, but now I am so far from home and no one believes me!"

he looked at her and tilted his head "How far is the kingdom from here?" he asked folding his arms, He had nothing better to do... And maybe he could get some money off the king for her safe return... Or maybe get discounted prices? Find a place to buy a house

What Chris did not know is that he was just trying to make excuses... He was going out on a limb, There was a possibility that she was crazy! Or that she was lying... But his sympathy for beggars blinded him

Elly pulled her hands from her eyes and brushed the tears from her cheek, "I'm not sure. I know it's in the north, but a journey of nearly a month by foot I estimate. It's so far away and I'm so scared to walk in the forest."

She looked off towards the north, sighing, "I miss my parents so very much. I know they miss me just as much!"

he put up his hand "wait here" he says and leaves for a few minutes, then comes back with his stuff "Pack the things you have... I want to take you back to your parents" He says, he knew what it was like to be away from home... And he would feel bad if she just left her here

Besides... Maybe he will be rewarded so he can buy a home?

Elly was ecstatic, putting what few things she had into her tiny bag. It was worn, but made of fine silk. It could be a gift to a young princess, or something stolen from the garbage. She smiled as wide as she could at Chris, "Please tell me your name, kind sir? I would love to be able to sing the praises of my hero to the sky and heavens above!"

"oh you dont need to do that" he says closing his eyes and blushing modestly, he often did this when he was praised, He then opened his eyes and put his index finger in the air "I will however tell you my name" he breaths in and then speaks "I am Chris, I hail from the kingdom of Yavin" he says smiling "And soon you will be at your own kingdom My lady" he says and jumps over to her

Elly smiled, taking his hand to give it a good squeeze, "My name is Elly-Wick Water-Drop." She turned to the road, letting go of his hand. She started to walk with confidence, her head held high.

She walked with a very slight limp, but she didn't let it affect her.

he smiled and walked on and held her hand as well. He did not speak till He noticed her limping "...what happened? why are you limping?" he asked tilting his head

Elly sighed loudly, "I'm just not used to walking for long distances. It hurts my poor feet and my shoes are so tight." She sighed again, putting a hand to her forehead.

he nods and sighs "Alright, well as soon as we find another town I will buy you some new shoes ok?" he says smiling as they continued along
