Andrew looked at the computer screen as he was typing. The man seemed very bored and typed emotionlessly with really no expression on his face. The good thing about this job is that it was quite easy and had a good enough pay rate. The bad thing is that it wasn't very interesting, at all. Granted his other 'job' is interesting and manages to keep things different but that was at the end of the day, once he's done his first job. He wanted something more out of most of his day. Maybe an activity he likes, maybe an interest, maybe someone he actually likes. But so far he hasn't gotten anywhere. Oh well. He glanced at his watch, 3:00. About an hour more and he would be able to go.
There had been a scream that rang out in the office, then it died down and the only sound left was running feet to see what happened. The secretary had been killed and in her blood on the wall was written "She lied." She was hung on the wall with knives in her wrists and ankles and a large cut on her throat. It was not a pretty sight. This was only the start of something much more.
When he heard the scream die down, he went to see what had happened. He noticed other people doing the same thing he was doing. After seeing the sight of th secretary, Andrew was confused. This secretary, at least to him didn't seem very interesting, why would she be killed? Most people after seeing a dead body might be thinking different thoughts but he's seen more blood than his co-workers, he doesn't get surprised if someone gets killed. Only if it seems there was no reason for them to be.
Jenase groaned at the sound of her cellphone going off. She reached out for it, and answered the call. "What in the blazes could you want know?" She asked, not wanting to deal with work on her day off. She listened to what they said and rolled her eyes. "Fine, fine. I'm going. I'll be there in ten." She ended the call and grabbed her keys and headed out to the office that was listed. She was in her casual clothes of baggy jeans and a t-shirt. Once she got there, the police had already got the caution tape out and got people to out of the way. She ducked under the tape and walked to the other detectives, grabbing a pair of gloves. "What do we have here?" She asked, hearing the story of what might have happened and what they could find about the secretary.
"Her name was Lara Mccraig" one of the detectives said. "She has been working here for about 7 years. People here say that they heard screaming at 3:00. 10 seconds later it stopped" he turned to the body. "Somehow the killer managed to nail her on the wall and cut her throat in a short amount of time. And the cut wasn't one simple one, it looked as if the killer hacked away at it for a little while. So far no one who entered the building seemed suspicious"
Jenase nodded, looking closely at the body and seeing the different markings and trying to see any abnormalities. "Does she have any records of owning a tattoo on her body? She could have been killed for gang reasons." There were a number of possibilities of what could have happened to her but she wanted to knock down the majority of them.
"There arent any records of tattoos" he replied. He looked at the message on the wall. "Someone wanted this as a message. If someone just wanted to kill her they wouldn't nail her into the wall, they could just cut her throat and that would be it. That would be even less noticed if she was taken to some other location and killed there"
Jenase nodded. "We'll need to look deeper into her history to figure out what it means though." She was thinking on who this could be. An ex-lover? A angry coworker? Or a simple misidentification? She was going to try to figure this out. She looked around the room at all who were still here. "We are going to need to interview you all so we need to have at least one room to separate you form everyone else so if one of you would be so kind as to aid us in getting this room."
Andrew heard and followed the instructions. If all goes well he wouldn't be suspected at all. He heard of people who got wrongly accused of crimes they didn't do. Hopefully everything would be fine though. He was still wondering who would've killed her. He remembered the message on the wall. What if someone knew who he was and killed her as a message? But he didn't know her so that wouldn't work
He guessed the detectives would figure it out, its what they're supposed to do after all.
