Katahdin stared at the insane droid killer with a deep fury. Truthfully the beast hated all things, nothing personal it cant help it. The eternal pain mixed with its dilapidated brain caused it to lash out violently at anything that moved.
The beast took a heavy step towards Artemis followed by another, Katahdin now right in front of Artemis they stood face to torso. Katahdin heard what sounded like the machine whiz down the hallway along with another pair of footsteps, the beast turned and looked in the direction it came from and turned back to face Artemis and growled before it ran on all fours towards the sound, its front left leg bent in an unusual manner. Its fetal mutation being the cause.

Voro knew that the research was dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands and the space station was torn apart as it was. Quickly he turned and placed his Chevy next to the main controls, "apologies commander, but it is in my programming to protect the research." The robot didn't know if Rimmer was alive or not but a small circular opening powered on pulling the Voro sphere out of the droid for the third and final time.
"Manual self destruct has been initiated." At this point in time all Vort-X droids shut down slumping to the floor. There was no real way to over ride this. Data was sent to the home worlds and the ship would self destruct, "self detonation in five minutes, good bye commander..." Even if a hot head like Rimmer or Art fired at the controls or pulled out the sphere the time stamp had already been set. It was go down with the ship or escape.
And wasn't there a ship or two attacking???
