The teen watched as the man ran off, your not that bright, are you? he questioned in his thoughts, and decided to go after the man. The boy kept his head down, trying to avoid seeing the world. A bird flew past him, a raven maybe? Possibly a crow? He couldn't tell, it was only bone and black feathers. With glowing red eyes. Which honesty had startled him, and made him more paranoid. He continued onward anyway, until he met the man. He man from earlier. His eyes widened, but not because a gun was pointed at him, but because that man was here. The boy clenched his fists, and turned and began to run off, leaving the man to give chase. Which he was hoping wouldn't happen.... (Sorry if its lame, typed this up on iPod)
Thorne would have followed but the arm trees fell behind the boy trying to seize him as the had Thorne moments before. He took off running a different route. This took him to the edge of a black bricked building, the sounds of skinless mutts drove him to enter this building and to his surprise it was a hospital. "That kid has to know something about what is going on here," Detective Thorne thought out loud, "but where did he take off running to?"
There was a crashing sound at the door, it was the skinless trying to get in. Thorne pushed a fire axes threw the door handles sealing the doors closed. Walking backwards before turning around slowly he gave a glance in each room which was stained red with an almost artistic splatter of blood. This thought scared Sam, the thought blood splatter could be artistic. He stopped, "Is that..?" One hospital room was clean, looking in he saw himself in a hospital gowned laying on the bed.
He tried to enter but an invisible wall kept him from entering the room. A noise came from down the hall. "What the hell is it now?" His tone was more sarcastic then scared at this point as he made the decision to believe this all was a dream, "come on Sam wake up!" He banged on the invisible wall loudly, "wake up!"

The teen continued to flee. Not wanting to be around somebody he had met. If it had been a 100% stranger things may be different, but no not now. Not now that the man had saw him twice. He felt the ground shake slightly when the tree fell behind him, blocking the oath of the man, but that did not stop the kid from running. After a few seconds he rested behind a tree. Resting his back against the bark of the tree, God, why does this have to happen to me, he thought. Why him? Why him of all people in the world, why did he have to get stuck with this ****ing curse!? He looked down. Everything was dull in this world. Not a single bright color anywhere. It was colored, yes, just very dully. It was white depressing actually.
His eyes darted up when he saw shoes coming towards him, step by step. His eyes filled with more fear, and his face was possibly similar to that of a white sheet of paper. He saw a women, maybe a year or two older then himself. Both her eyes were gone, and blood was running down her cheeks almost like extremely slow moving waterfalls. She had a sad expression, but it slowed turned into that of one of was going to murder. "You did this," she told him before going for an attack. The women tackled him down. Her hands around his throat, cutting off his ability to breathe. (you can die in the Mad World but I doubt were going that far.) The boy tried to pry the girls hands off him, but it just wouldnt budge. A few drops of blood fell from the girls cheeks and landed on his face, " its your fault you little bastard.." she said angrily at him. "ITS YOUR FAULT! ALL OF IT!" She yelled before Aiden kneed her, and got her to release him. He pushed her off and scrammbled t his feet before running of in the opposite direction. He had no weapons unlike it man did.
After he was certain he had escaped that girl, he slowed to a walk. He looked down at his hands, seeing blood in them like he had killed somebody which caused him to tense. He didn't remember doing anything regretful like that. This sent a shudder up his spine. But he looked up, seeing a building. A apartment? An asylum? No, a hospital..

Sam knocked on the barrier is seemed to be glass. He punched and punched harder, why was he is this hospital? Well not him, him but that him? Him him seeing that him and both hims being here confused him. Thorne's back hit the wall, he covered his ears and fired his gun once at the glass! Bang! the bullet fell to the ground and rolled in front of his feet. Bang! The second bullet cracked the glass and a small bright light shown through. "Here goes nothing," he said pointing his gun at the crack in the glass with only one bullet left. Bang!
White light consumed his sight as he opened him eyes. A few Seattle PD stood above him, Thorne jerked frightfully in his hospital bed, "what happened?" The police explained how he had passed out in his hotel room and had been in a mild coma for the night. "Someone slipped me something," Thorne explained, "they must have, I was having one hell of a trip."
An agent brought in the files of the second murder and pictures of the autopsy, it was just how the email had described the girl, no blood, an identical heart in each hand, and cuts and gashes al over her dry dead body. "Help me out of this bed, I'm fine," Thorne didn't have time for this, he had a case to solve, "I need to bring in a witness, but I don't know his name..."

The boy tilted His head to the side, hearing the gunshots from within the hospital building. One. Two. Three. The man did not know when to stop, did he? But then again, sometimes the risks at life got you to wonderful places.
Seconds after that third gunshot fired out, for some reason this world felt empty. Abandoned. A lifeless gosttown. The boy bit his bottom lip, and ventured off into the hospital, wondering what had happened, and nothing was stopping him front doing so, except his fear of what may lie beyond those doors. He pushed the doors open, and looked around, not a sound, not a soul, not a demon, nor beast. Just absolute eerie silence. He made his way down the empty halls, hearing the echo of each step he took. At the end of one of the halls he saw a dim light shining into the hall through one of the doors. After a moment he went to check it out. He peeked into the room, seeing the man from earlier talking to some other guy, but couldn't hear what they were saying. He looked down at his palm, a nearly colorless skin color, possibly a light grey. Right, they can't see me.. he thought before putting his hand down. Nobody could see somebody who was on the other side of the border between worlds. He took one last look into the room, before he looked down and turned to leave, tracing his fingertips along the walls as he went. Leaving bloody lines on the wall behind him without his knowing. Everything seemed at quiet ease for once In the world, until a dark shadowed figure appeared behind the boy, and hit him in the back of the head with something rather heavy, that sent him to the floor of this world in an unconscious heap.
But in the real world the teenagers eyes slowly opened, and he looked at the clock. He had been there for quite awhile. Many hours. He looked at the floor and sighed, before crossing his arms, almost as if he was hugging himself for comfort. He couldn't get the vision of that one lady he had saw out of his mind, almost ad if it were glued to his eyelids. It just wouldn't go away...
Despite everything..he hoped to never see that man again.

Sam had gotten up from the hospital bed when a doctor pointed out he was bleeding. Thorne watched the man examine the wound and their was no cut. Sam changed as he waited for the test results on his blood could bit be blood of who ever poisoned him? Could Thorne have gotten a good hit on the man before passing out?
"What did you find doc?" Thorne asked as the doctor re-entered the room. The doctor explained how the blood was his but their were no fresh marks anywhere on his body that could have created this amount of blood. The detective thought back, maybe one of those skinless hounds had bitten him. He shook his head, that was just a dream. The dreams of coma patients were often vivid like his was.
These thoughts poked at his brain as he got in the passenger seat of the squad car. Strange enough was that the radio was on even though the car was off he touched the off button but this helped very little. The officer got in the car and the two drove off. The first stop light was red, but it began to flicker with a orangish tint, "Damn!" The officer began to drive, "wait stop! No!"

He sat there on his floor for a long, quiet moment, before standing up. He stretched lightly, his back a bit sore from sleeping against the door. He let his arms fall back to his side before walking over to the light switch and flicking it on. The last thing he needed was to be concealed in a dark room where madness had a better advantage. He walked over to his window, and looked out it. It was clear outside now for the most part, and a half moon was out. The stars glistened in the sky. He remembered something his great grandmother had told him before she had died. "All the stars in the sky are like guardians, watching over you to make sure your safe 'till dawn" she had said to him as a child. His expression changed to that of a mix of anger, and disappointment. What a lie! That was so not true, for if it was he'd be sound asleep in his bed right now!
He looked down and calmed down, remembering simply that words wouldnt do crap in this case. "Poor poor child, all alone.." somebody said to him, like it was alittle girls voice that only he heard. He looked over his shoulder and got a glimpse of where he just was, but in that small vision a little girl no older then 3 stood at his bedroom door, holding a teddybear that was bloody, and had the stuffing coming out of it. It was stitched up with thread in various places, its ears, its tail, a arm, leg, and paw, and had one eye missing from its face. Aiden blinked, starring at the spot. "Don't you want to play Aiden....?" the girl asked softly, yet in a taunting like way. Aiden shook his head. But unlike the rest of what had happened, the girl just seemed to go away. Fade back into whereever she came from.
He looked back out the window, resting his crossed sdms on the window sill, and resting his chin on his arms. The streets seemed so deserted, except for one car, and his eyes focused on that car.

As the car passed threw the barrier the cop in the driver seat began to scream as his body exploded! Blood and flesh sprayed across the vehicle as the car hit a traffic pole, twisted and rolled over. This was not a dream. Thorne unclipped himself and pulled his body out of the over turned police car. "No pistol," he said nervously until he remembered the Cover Fire Act in Seattle, every cop car had a shot gun in the trunk! He kicked the door open and removed the fun along with a hand full of shells.
"Boy!" The detective yelled into the bloody and burning streets, "where are you?" The world was different, more empty then before but just as dark, was this night time for whatever this realm was? So many questions circulated the detectives mind, could this be at all have affected the case he was working on?? And who was that boy??

The not watched the car drive on, but winced slightly as he watched the car hit a pole. Man, that must not have felt good. He pitied the driver slightly, after all, not to many people would want to be in the position of a wreck, unless of course they were suicidal. The boy looked down, before turning and running out of his room, keeping his head low as he ran through the halls, trying not to make a lot of noise as to not wake everyone up. He unlocked and opened the front door, and went outside closing the door behind him. He wanted to see the wreck honestly. Curious. Though he doubted the driver survived.
Aiden froze in place when he saw the man, the officer, and he hid behind a tree. God! Why did he keep running into him! He looked around, yep, back in hell of course. But he felt something push him out from behind his hiding tree, and he looked, but saw nothing there. He looked at the man, well, he was officially ****ed...

Thorne had been cast into this bleeding, crazy world once more, "tell me your damn name boy!" Thorne held the shot gun low with one hand wiping dead parts of the cop off his face, "I have earned that much, I DESERVE that much!" The shells were dropped into his pants pockets and he then sled his trench coat off, it was covered in guts. "Tell me!" It was hot and burning up sweat dropped from his brow, he rolled up his sleeves.
The boy started shaking lightly, looking the man in the face. He looked at the remains of possibly the driver all over the mans face, and coat. The boy was quiet, his lifeless colored eyes not leaving the mans face for many moments, then he looked down at the sidewalk. "Aiden.." he said quietly, but it wasent hearable at all really. So in a way it was like he didn't say anything.
Thorne tread quickly towards the boy grabbing his collar, "what is your name!" The gun shoot in his hand, and the detective knew this wasn't right. Even being trapped in a messed up world where a cop was just killed in didn't merit Thorne beating up on a kid. He dropped the boy to the ground, "just tell me who you are and what the hell this place is... Or is this hell?"
The boys face grew paler when the man grabbed him by his collar, like his mind was calculating the worst to happen. He was scared of this man. He wasent very social at all and so that didn't help him inside either. He reached his hands up to his collar and tried to get the mans hands off him, he even tried to kick the man. Rather it was cause he was trying to escape the land grip, or because the man gained alittle sense in that head of his, he dropped Aiden to the ground. Aiden looked up at the man, and scooted away from him a little. "My name.....is Aiden" he said loud enough to hear this time. He looked away again, "why do you care about who I am?" He asked first of all.
Aiden, like only a first name would help. "I'm sorry, that was wrong and rude," Thorne was trying to apologize and make sense of this place at the same time, "but you must understand how scary this place is." And that's when he realized it, this boy was just as scared as he was and if the boy had pulled him in some how it wasn't to torture him but to relieve some of the fear consciously or subconsciously.
"My name is Sam," he tried to make friendly with his new friend native to this world in some way, "my mother called me Sammy." The detective smiled at the boy lending his hand for the kid to stand up, "So Aiden... Where are we?"

Seeing most people would run, call the cops, or if they had a gun, probably shoot him without hesitance. If most people were in Sam's shoes, more then likely they wouldnt see this boy as any human like that, but rather just a demon without place. A abomination to the world. A disgrace to all.
The young teenager scooted back another small scoot while the man was apologizing. Wait. Aidens eyes widened just slightly. He was apologizing. Well, that was a first on anybodies standards. He didnt look up at the officer though, that is until the man introduced himself as Sam, or Sammy. Yeah..lets just stick with Sam.
When the man reached his hand out for him to take, he scooted back, almost as if still believing this man would harm him. But when no hits, punches, slaps, or anything came, the young one looked at the mans hand. Seconds passed by, and slowly, ever so slowly, the boy reached out a slightly shakey hand, and took hold of Sam's hand, and stood up. The boy released the mans hand rather quickly once he was up, and he looked at the world around him.“Thats the thing...” he said. “Nobody knows...”– “and only certain people know about this place..” he said quietly, but audibly. “I should know..been here and there all my life” he said. Man that was sad...

"When we get out of here again we'll try and find you some help, ok?" Detective Thorne turned around, pulling his shot gun closer, "you know how to come in and out of the place at will? Or do you choose to..." Thorne stopped himself, no one would choose to come here. Thorne wanted to change the subject but this wasn't the time or place for niceties, "so Aiden, how exactly do we get out of here?" His head turned looking over his shoulder at the boy once more. This was no place for a boy so young, this was also no place for him either. And how was this place linked to the Heartless killings, named ironically of course.
Aiden went mute. There was no helping him. This was his fate. His creepy, and quite disturbing fate. His lifeless grey eyes once again made contact with the mans, “hate to rain on your parade, but there is no true way out. Or atleast..i've never found it. ” He paused a moment, “then again, even back in your world, i always still see little bits of this place” he said. There was no true way to escape that he knew of, and highly doubted there was a logical or unlogical way of discovering a way out.
The detective looked around, he had solved mysteries bigger then this one. But he needed to find the kids history, he knew there wasn't much from this place that he could do but if he were to get the kids last name and where he lived he could talk to the parents or at least back track to find where the parents came from, "what's your last name? And where do you live??" Thorne instantly realized this was phrased in a weird way, "what I mean is I am a detective, you have nothing to lose letting me try to make sense of all this."
It was true he was going to help the kid but Sam did hate kids, why would he be wanting to help one now, this kid was no victim of abuse, he was just trapped in a bad situation, and that was the same as most the cases the detective took. People trapped in death unable to bring justice to their slayer, and this was the same way but the slayer in this case was this world.
Thorne looked around and smiled as he waited for the boy to respond, it was about helping him. But it was more about the super natural puzzle he had just stumbled into one day. All on his mind now was that Thorne hoped he could solve this one before the he went mad in this messed up new world.

Aiden looked back at the ground, and started to mess with his fingers, like a nervous person might. It was obvious he wasent used to so much communication, and interaction. That and the fact he was just barely beginning to trust this man. "I don't have a last name, or at least one that I know of.." he responded to the land first question, of even sparing a glance now. "As for where I live" he looked back at the orphanage, which looked rather creepy now, "there" he said. So the boys parents were either dead, far away, or nonexistent. Well, that was useful info..
Aiden knew one thing about this world. Once somebody enters, sooner or later it would drive them mad, and even sometimes make them so insane that they would kill themselves by either clawing out their throats with their nail's, or jump off skyscrapers. Aiden would already qualify as insane, but he wasnt planning suicide.

"Alrighty," Thorne smiled at the boy, "when we find our way back again I'll put some officers on the case about your past and well figure out exactly what is happening here." The detective was trying to reassure the boy when he heard moaning, a woman broke through the cement and was clawing in Aidens direction.
BOOM!
A shot gun shell threw pieces of her skull everywhere, "so, how do we get out of here?" Thorne asked reloading his weapon.
