Aiden looked down, seeing with his fingers, another habit of his. "There's a chance it wouldn't even work. What would be the point if there's a ***damn chance it won't work.." he asked. There would be no advantage. Only flaw. Sam had to consider the fact that Aiden had gone through so much, and lost hope in ever escaping. He believed no matter what happened, he'd have to deal with this until it drove him to suicide, or he died of natural causes.
Aiden stood up, and tried to walk off from this. Thou could one blame him? Would anyone try to stop him..
Aiden stood up, and tried to walk off from this. Thou could one blame him? Would anyone try to stop him..
The priest stood up, son don't just leave! "No," Thorne said, "let him leave, he has to want this, and if there is even a chance that this WILL work he should want to do it by his choice." Sam looked out side, dark red skies, fire and darkness in the streets, blood painted on the buildings. If they were to step outside, they would be stepping into the Mad World once again.
Aiden ignored the priest, and contiued on his way, and went outside, not caring if he entered the mad world or not, and shut the door behind him, but not in the lightest of ways. He sighed and sat down on the front steps, not sure what to do. He looked around seeing the mad world once more, and he looked a little closer and saw that little girl again. She was grinning, but she ran off, and he didn't give chase. She always came back eventually. He looked down. Trying to think..could he avoid facts, or at least fate?
Sam paced around the church, "was I too hard on him?" The priest started to jabber something about god being in all of us. "Shut up, go back to your holy wine..." The detective continued to pace starring out the window. The girl had been transferred some how between the two worlds but who was she? "Out of curiosity what was the woman's name, Aiden's mom?" She never said, why do you ask? Thorne picked up his phone, "Sophie Beckham, who are her parents?" The police on the other line checked some files, there was no registered mother, only a single father. "Call the dad in, question him about his whereabouts in the last 15 years." The cop was confused but said he would.
Aiden sat thoughtful on the front steps of the church. Not moving from his spot. The world seemed to leave him be for now, either that or it was just his luck that probably wouldn't last to long. So many questions, and thoughts were on his mind. Never did he feel so pressured, and alone. The priest and Sam wanted him to go through with there idea, but based off what he had seen in movies and so forth, exorcisms didn't sound very fun..or easy. He looked back out at the world he had grown up in for the Most part. Maybe this was hell, and he was just a demon wandering the land. He turned a little and looked back at the church, which now looked a little more demonic with upside down crosses and such.
Sam wasn't going to tell Aiden about the girls dad, if he did have a step father then the boy wouldn't have to go back to the orphanage and life would be good. "Aiden!" Sam opened the church doors but dared no enter the world of madness again, "why don't you give this a shot? If there is a demon within you, this could... cure you."
The detective didn't want to go out there again, there was a new air about this place. It was like the entire realm revolved around that boy and his emotions. Loneliness, confusion and despair lingered within each breathe Sam took. How could Aiden be this sad, so alone, "Aiden this is the last time I'll ask you! Please get whatever is living in you taken out!"

After a moment Aiden looked away from the church, looking back out at the world, thinking everything over, but minutes later heard Sam call his name, but he didn't look at him. "Why do you care if I get it out or not. Your not even related to me, and you barely know me," he questioned. "And what if the little Exorcism doesn't work? I would have gone through with that for nothing..." he questioned Sam once more, not looking back at Sam at all, he just kept his gaze on the ground at the bottom of the stairs.
"Sorry Aiden, but you need to do this," Thorne grabbed Aiden's collar pulling him back inside so Sam didn't have to step into the Mad World. Once he was in the church again Sam let go of the boys collar. He then took the kids hand, "we have been threw too much in the last few days for you to just give up!" The pushed the kid towards the alter, "that's too damn selfish and I would have it anymore!"
The priest put his hand on Thorne, Sir are you feeling ok? "just do the ****ing exorcism already!" Sam had begun to go mad but he was just same enough to realize it. If this didn't happen he would either become crazy or depressed. Neither sounded like fun to him, "Let's get down to business!"

Aiden tried to resist going back into the church when Sam started forcing him to by dragging him inside by the collar of his shirt. However when he finally was released by the collar he was about to get up and run, it made him want to get away more. But sadly Sam grabbed his hand, which did give him a chance to get up, but he hated the fact he was getting dragged into this. He starred at the alter when he was pushed to it, and he backed up a step from it. He wanted to run off, but he knew Sam or the Priest would catch him on his way out. He looked down, his hands were lightly shaking, rather it was because of fear, or anger, or maybe a dash of both. "I hate you both" he said quietly. It was plain to see why he felt that way.
The priest started to chant some incantation and the windows all shattered, "Don't stop!" Thorne yelled to the preacher. The people in the church began running out the front door as the cross on the front wall fell and laughing erupted from above them. "How do you feel kid?" Sam asked, "furniture began to unhinge itself from the floor and fly upward crashing against the ceiling. "This may not have been a good idea..."
(Let's see how I do without making it sound all 'Hollywood influenced' watch me fail)
Aiden covered his ears, not wanting to hear what the preacher had to say. Not wanting to hear the incantation. The child fell to his knees, still covering his ears, and slightly shaking his head no , trying not to listen, but it was as if the priest was yelling it right in his ear. It was like this was trying to be avoided by him, but it couldn't be. The windows shattering, and the cross falling didn't not effect him, as if the demon within was causing this, and the madness trying to help.
Aidens eyes opened , and they were that shade of dark grey, rather then light grey, like they had been in the demonic looking form, and he glarred coldly at Sam, shaking slightly, "how do you ****ing think i feel?!" He asked Sam sarcastically, glarring at him, then he glarred at the priest who was still trying, and the lights above them flickered, before glass shattered, and began to rain down on the room, everywhere.
Aiden looked away, his hands werent on his ears now, but rather his chest, and it was obvious he was feeling a lot of pain, and was just trying his best to hold back his screams. It was Like the demon was trying to force itself to stay within the boy, and doing a rather good job at it. It seemed the demon within, and maybe more demons, were trying to stop this from being completed, or from being accomplished rather. All because Sam made him go through with this, it seemed almost like immortal hell was about to break loose. They already had chaos. Aidens hands slowly moved away from his chest, and the boy tried to stand up. .....somebody may want to hold him down, otherwise the priest may be a new chandelier.

Sam looked back over to the priest, his eyes were bleeding. And through the words of his incantations the detective could hear small whimpers of pain for the man. The book dropped from the preachers hand and he collapsed, eyes melting from his skull, brain tissue oozing from his ears. "Damnit!" Only Sam and Aiden still stood in the church, everyone else was either dead or gone.
Thorne picked up the book and started reading himself, the giant skinless appeared and began reaching their giant arms through unable to grab either of them. Bone hounds barked from the now closed front door, biting and scratching as they tried to get in.

Aiden stood up and glarred at the priest, seeing the blood escaping his eyes, as if he were crying bloody tears, but it wasent Haemolacria, it was the devils work. He watched as the man fell to the floor and started to go through a torturous, slow, death. It was bad when even the servants of God couldn't even do a thing. The boy fell back to his knees, the demon inside him refusing to budge under this was hurting him. This wasent hurting the demon, but rather Aiden more.
Aidens eyes glarred at Sam darkly when he began to read, then he looked away, quietly laughing under his breath. The demon was mocking him almost, It seemed this wasent working, it seemed to have worked a bit when the preacher was saying the words from the book, but where Sam was not of any holy religion, it seemed he himself could not preform this and it work, alone..It wasnt doing much when priest was saying it, the demon within Aiden was just to powerful...

The hound broke into the church, Sam stopped reading and threw the book at one of the deadly dogs! "Aiden, work with me!" San called hearing laughter all around him. "What is your name demon!?!?!" With all the rest of the priests already escaped into the world of reality there was no hope. It felt like the seams between worlds was shredding using Aiden as a conduit!
The laughter from the boy ceased, but that didn't stop everything else from being completely messed up. Aiden slowly got to his feet, and turned to face Sam, looking at him with those anonymous dark grey eyes. He tilted his head to the side slightly, "why should I work with you on this?" He asked. " Your the one who forced me into it.." he said coldly. He seemed to just blow off the name question. If the demon had been inside Aiden all his life, more then likely it inherited the same name. Maybe pronounced different like A-den or something, but that was besides the point.
Aiden had had the feeling this would fail, but no, nobody ever listened to the 13 year old kid. Though Sam should feel rather lucky that Aiden had yet to try and kill him..

Everything slowed down in Sam's mind, it all got quiet, the hounds had reached him tearing at his flesh and cloths with their bone jaws and the skinless giants had broken down the walls and had begun climbing in. "Aiden... You are the little flame, the little flame that will solve this puzzle." And with that the bone hounds tore Sam to shreds killing him.
The bright light of a hospital shone threw his eyelids once more, "what the hell."
A cop was shocked to find him, everyone in the ER was screaming commotion all around! Detective Thorne? The officer looked next to him and Sam's eyes followed a dead version of himself lay in the adjacent bed. The uh dad of the victim told us the daughter had been volunteering a lot at the orphanage since he had told her of her mother.
The cop stuttered, glancing between alive Sam and dead Sam, She kept talking about a boy who mom knew, but we believe that she was volunteering to... "She was getting close to Aiden, trying to help him but he was always spacing out, ignoring her." Everything clicked at once, "She was trying to get him out of it when she got sucked into the Mad World!" Thorne looked around at the wounded people, "what the hell is going on..?"

Aiden watched heartlessly as the hounds attacked Sam, but two words snapped some sense back into him, just a little. Little Flame. The words of what Sam had said about that returning to his memory. Sam had told him he wouldn't end up like the rest here..Well, he tried to hold onto that a bit, but now he believed it was a lie. True, He didn't end up like the rest of the things here, he ended up worse..He looked down and blinked once, within that second his eyes had shifted back to their original light grey. He looked at the remains of his friend that he saw, the church was in pieces. He looked around, the beasts now coming after him, and he tried to escape, by running. Always fleeing...though soon everything began to fade around him, like he was walking on the border of the mad world, and reality, sanity, and insanity, truth....and lies. It was quite confusing. Please tell me Sam dying was just a lie.. he thought to himself. He looked to his right, reality. He took a step towards it, like he wanted to go back, but was hesitant. Did he even deserve to go back?
The officer explained how the church was destroyed and in the center of the rubble was a hole, a hole into the Mad World. All sorts of creatures and things began to jump through the void and the poilce and government were trying to fence it off but they failed once now they blocked off the entire city of Seattle. "Were trapped here?" Thorne asked, yes, the entire place has been placed in marshal law, the officer said.
He then explained how people had begun to all go insane. Some had even begun to grow black shadowy wings. Apart from the skinless giants not much was able to cross threw, in reality the bone hounds had nothing keeping them together and they fell apart but the skinless had started feasting on humans and they only could say one word. Aiden, just his name over and over again. "I need to find the kid," Thorne said trying to stand up, "Once the demon is out, the void should close cutting off the creatures from the madness killing them!"

Aiden stood there in silence a moment before reality forced himself to him. He had crossed back into reality, but this reality was so much different. He looked around, everything, well, at least some things were off. Messed up. "Please tell me this is a dream" he said quietly to himself. This couldn't be reality. It couldn't be. It just can't be. He looked back seeing the church behind him. "People believing theres a god? If he was real none of this would happen. You'd think he'd make everything okay like people say he does...but doesn't.." Aiden thought to himself, before looking away and walking down the mostly tore up church steps. He could feel madness trying to seek itself into him, and he was trying to push it away. He looked down at the sidewalk. If this was reality, where would Sam be?.. Wait..why did he care? Why should he care..?
Sam felt no madness in himself, he felt almost completely clear. "Get me a squad car!" He said, "I need to get in there fast." Moments later he was escorted out of the hospital and appeared in front of the car, he opened the door and stepped i. The cop handed him a pistol, There is a fully loaded shot gun in the trunk, he said, but I don't know what good its going to do against these monsters.
"Oh they'll do just fine," Sam said, determination in his eye. The engine roared as he sped off towards the church. "Here I come Aiden!"
