"Yeah? Neat. I'd like to see you dance sometime." Oliver looked back at the screens, hoping his last statement didn't sound creepy.
She chuckled. "Sure. Why not?" She said turning her attention to the screens once again.
"We're gonna be sitting and looking at nothing for a while, I'm surprised you even applied for this job considering how boring it gets. It picks up sometimes but even that isn't so great." Oliver chuckles.
She shrugged. "I needed the money for new slippers." She shrugged. "Easy job, fair pay."
"Alright, yeah that's true." Oliver leaned back and sighed. After this he was silent, not much else to say seeing as this girl seemed to be the quiet one. Now all he could really do is wait.
"And What do you do? Besides this.."
"I play chess." Oliver shrugged, "I had other interests but to be honest I don't really have time anymore due to this job. When I'm not here I'm normally at home. Suppose that's what they want though, someone who's not too busy and can devote to the job. They try to keep employees at a minimum, so they don't switch us out. There is only ever four of us."
She laughed softly. "My grandfather tried to teach me chess. He still kicked my Butt."
Oliver smiled slightly, "Maybe I'll bring my chess set around sometime. Its a good pass time, especially for a job like this."
She smiled. "That'd be fun." She said bringing her knees to her chest.
From then on there was mostly silence from Oliver, his eyes locked on the screen. He was a bit anxious, although he was used to the things that would often happen whilst working, it'd be new to Valerie. New and probably a bit freaky.
She bit her lip eager about the don't ask don't tell rule. But She didn't need to risk her job on stupid curiosity. Trying to focus Anaheim starred hard at one of the screens.
