Hi everyone!
Some may know that I've been admitted to the hospital. After 3 years of back issues, I've finally succumbed. Monday I was in severe pain and could barely walk. Tuesday I collapsed in my friend's doorway on the way to my chiropractor in immense pain and unable to move. We called an ambulance and I've been admitted to the hospital ever since.
I'm making slow progress and can sit and walk for short periods of time. Today I received an MRI scan and was diagnosed with a severe hernia. I'm stuck here until coming Tuesday. Surgery is not an option in this hospital (it's a terrible hospital really) but if my insurance permits, my parents will book me into a German hospital where they have specialized surgery for this condition.
Long story short, I'll be sparse and I'm not entirely sure yet when I'll be home and healthy again. Feel free to send me messages and stuff, I have my phone, my tablet and free wifi so I'm around when I'm not being pulled and tugged at by nurses.

Thanks guys! I'm still waiting to hear back on my bloodwork pending possible infections. Other than that I'm viciously beating my pain with a metric ton of painkillers and watching YouTube videos and reading ebooks.

I have good and bad news.
Bad news: after talking it over with my mom, we've decided I'm adopting out Shane, the most recent addition to my cats. She is high maintenance compared to the other two and makes a lot of mess all the time. I won't be able to keep up with that and I can't do it financially anymore either. I'm looking hard to get her adopted. (If anyone in the Netherlands/Belgium/Germany area near Luxemburg wants to adopt her let me know! She's free, spayed, chipped with European passport and comes with a litterbox)
Good news: I managed to walk up and down one flight of stairs. It was slow, taxing and difficult, but I did it. After consulting with the doctors I'm staying one to two more days for more recovery and will be home before the weekend.

YAY!! Im being released from the hospital today!! Follow up in 3 weeks, I'm taking a shitton of meds home with me and I'll be seeing a physical therapist as well.

Shane has found a new home.
Sad day, but at least she was able to find a new home with people who will love her! hope you are healing well!

hope you are healing well!Her new owners are very nice people who are taking great care of her! She's doing well from what I've heard and I'm keeping in touch over texting. They sent me a picture too.
I miss her a lot but my other cats are calmer now and I no longer have as much mess to clean up which is a huge help for my health.I'm doing better every day too. I still rely heavily on the morphine but I'm trying to stay mobile between mandatory bedrests.
