OOC: This is an RP involving Eshe Tawar (My character), Bandit (Mellute's character), and Ece. Also, there may or may be dice rolls involved.

Our story starts at a local tavern. Many heroes gather at this place for food, drinks and a place to sleep. There were many strong warriors there, including great swordsman, strong bludgeon wielders, and all sorts of wizards. Sitting at one of the tables was a giant creature who looked like an ungainly hippo with a large alligator tail, some Egyptian style clothing and make-up, and a pouch on her belly much like what a kangaroo would have. She had a big plate of food below her head and a tankard to her left. She was... currently drooping over the table with her eyes closed. She seemed to be asleep right now. Across from her was a smaller, more fit looking hippo creature who had a smaller plate of food and a small cup of hot cocoa next to him. He was looking intently at the larger creature.

"Mom? Mom? Wake up," the smaller one said. The drowsy hippo opened her eyes and looked down at the smaller hippo, who was likely her son. "Huh? I need to eat up to keep my strength, Kontar," she said. The son, Kontar, got off his chair and went over to his mother. He started to tug at her clothes. "Mom, come on, come on, you promised you'd take me on an adventure today," Kontar said. "Come on, let's go."

The mother, Eshe, looked down at her son and couldn't help but smile. "Alright, alright, we're going," she said. She grabbed a staff set on her table and took one last drink from the tankard she set down. "Don't forget to finish your hot cocoa, Kontar." Kontar went back to his cocoa before Eshe walked over to the counter and looked through a list of what was probably a list of missions. "Huh, suspicious stone in the desert. Sounds... powerful. It could be something I could get my hands on. Maybe... maybe it could even supply me with things I desire. Unlimited energy. What I would do for unlimited energy."

But as luck would have it, there were others interested in said mission.

"The last smith promised me a reliable blade. Here it lies in three pieces." A woman explained to the dirty clothed blacksmith. He was a foot taller than her five foot five inches and his beard masked most of his face. His eyes did not looked pleased that a woman questioned the quality of his weapons. The broken sword rested on the counter; trash to be melted down and reused. "I have the money, but a need a good blade." She finished sternly.

Once the transaction was over, the man lucky that the peculiar raven haired witch was not his wife, Marianna strolled deeper into town with her new sheathed blade. It was light and easy to manipulate. her violet eyes happened upon the front doors to the tavern and by habit she entered the establishment. There was noise, food and fire. People talked animatedly with one another and ale spilled on the serving table thanks to a clumsy young wench. The tender made eye contact with the witch and she ordered some whiskey.

A few long swallows relieved her dry throat from a day in the sun. Anyone could observe from her attire that she was indeed a traveled woman. Pieces of tree foliage clung in her hip length hair and wood smoke clung tot he folds of her long cloak. Her boots were caked in dried mud. After another swig of the pint she then let her ears pick up the conversation nearby. "...suspicious stone in the desert..." HEr eyes narrowed slightly as she sought the list being read allowed. Moving closer to the larger woman. A child bumped into the witch causing her to collide with the strange woman reading aloud.

Ece was not trader, nor a traveller by the look of her. Dressed in fine fabrics of brocaded threads, ornate detailing and a thin veil, the feline was distinctly of the higher classes. But certainly not above mingling where needed - the cut of her clothing was not quite rich enough to draw attention, but was sufficient enough to perhaps have her classed as a wealthy merchant's wife, or perhaps even one in her own right. Those ears perked and flicked this way and that, before picking up the mention of a suspicious stone in the desert.

Finally she rose from her seat, moving over with the smooth fluidity that came from self-confidence, before a smirk lightly rested on her lips as she directly addressed Eshe. Or at least, spoke towards her - whether the woman heard was another matter entirely. "A stone with the possibility of granting wishes? That would take the duties away from the djinn, would it not?" Her tone held no malevolence, perhaps the faintest hint of mockery, but more amusement than much else.

After Bandit bumped into Eshe, Eshe's reaction was what you would expect from someone who's taller than you. "Excuse me, do you mind?" Eshe said in a bit of a cross tone. Kontar started to seem a worried. "Mom, don't use up all your energy before the mission." Eshe looked down at Kontar and nodded, then noticed another creature confront her, a cat lady named Ece. She mentioned the stone being able to grant wishes. Eshe looked at the mission again.

"Huh, it doesn't actually say what the stone does. But maybe it could... hmmm." Eshe looked through the details and noticed that multiple people were allowed to take this mission at a time. "Huh, I guess you guys are here for this mission too, I take it."

The witch's eyes flashed in a brief annoyance at Eshe's reaction, after all it was not an intention bump. Dismissing the incident immediately Bandit listened to the conversation between the richly clad feline and Eshe. It perked her interest. While wishes were not specifically of interest to her, a stone with mysterious abilities could prove handy and an adventure sounded lovely after a hiatus. She nodded her head to confirm that she was interested in the mission as well.

"Do you know this area well? Perhaps someone else might be able to give us more information." she muttered, scanned the list with her violet eyes. One could not tell were she gazed for her eyes held no pupil.

OOC: Well, it looks like Ece's been banned, so I guess the RP is just between you and me for now unless Ece becomes unbanned.

Eshe looked at the cat person, but noticed no words coming out of the creature's mouth. Eshe decided she would instead answer. "Hmph, I know the desert better than most people do," she said. "If you need help I suppose... Why, are you interested in the mission?" Eshe had a feeling if they both took the mission there might be compotition. But then again... Maybe it would be better to work together. Bandit didn't seem to have as much powerful magic on her, but she did have youth and energy. Her powers might coming handy.

Considering the woman's question for a moment, Bandit took a sip of her whiskey. having been on plenty of adventures this new one dangling in front of her face actually sounded like a good time and a way to get to know the area better. She glanced back over at the woman before taken another drink.

"My motives are my own." She replied softly. From the woman's tone and action the witch could tell that a mission with her as a companion would be tricky indeed. There was much magic flowing from her, more than the witch had but that didn't matter really. Bandit held her own on adventures as did any other explorer.

"In any case," Eshe started. "Maybe it would be best, assuming we both took this mission, to stock up on potions. Let's see... hmmm..." Eshe brough out a list of items that seemed to be a shopping list. On it was writen "10 Elixers of Fatigue Restoration." But those were obvious items. "My mom buys a lot of fatigue potions because she runs out very easily," Kontar said to Bandit. Eshe immediately shot a look down at her son.

"I would refrain from telling people that, Kontar," She said in a quiet tone. Eshe was showing that she was more gentle with her son than she was with most others. "I suppose we better hit the shops then. Is there any place in particular you need to go to?"
