Splashes echoed through the woods as rain poured heavily, the drops hitting the countless leaves. A small girl ran through the woods with great speed, a man with a rifle not far behind her. While she ran, she had no emotion on her face, despite the situation she was in. Although the man could not see it, the girl was being lead by a strange woman that was able to keep her pace.
As the chase continued, shots rang out against the rain. It was only the fifth shot when the girl suddenly collapsed to the ground in a cry of shock and pain, crumpling on the floor. She held her shoulder in pain, tears streaming from her face. The woman looked back in fear for the child, quickly disappearing and reappearing, ushering the girl up and leading her before the man caught up. A few meters and she was face to face with a rock about as large as her head. The rock moved to revile a small hole, about as big as her. she immediately crawled in and curled up into a ball, sobbing in pain as the rock was shifted back into place.

(May I join?)
(Sure ^^ What character are you going to use?)
(Was probably going to use Mary and Catherine. They're sisters and usually inseparable so I usually play them together.)
(Thats fine ^^)
While the man couldn't find her, two rather helpful and friendly figures knew exactly where to find her. Mary walked away from their hiding spot and knocked her hand on the rock five times while Catherine watched defensively just in case the man appeared and tried to attack her even though Mart could handle herself. Still, these two always had each others backs, never leaving the other to fend for themselves for no reason.
A small, shaky breath came from the rock as the rock shifted, reviling her. Her face no longer held its usual innocent, curious look that a child has. It was now one of pain and fear, never having experienced something like this before. She shook in her place as she looked up at the two, holding her shoulder as thick, red stick blood oozed from it. "Help." Was all she said, for is was one of the few words that she knew how to say and understand the meaning to.
Being an older sister, mary's eyes filled with tears at the sight of the wounded child. "You poor child. Hold on we'll take care of your wounds." Mary picked up the child and held her close as she walked back over to her technical younger sister. Catherine stood there looking at the two of them as they approached. "I guess we should get back to the house." Catherine said, running in the direction opposite she was facing with Mary following her.
As the two ran with her, she hiccupped, feeling a jolt of pain with the bounce of the run. Her hand had never left her shoulder. She kept squeezing it, as if to will the pain away. She thought that it could really work, but little did she know that they didn't work like that. She had never experienced the kind of pain and fear that filled her right now, she had always been able to avoid it with ease. SO why today did it all happen? It could be that the man was a good aimer, or simply she was off her game. She had no idea. All she did know was that she wanted it all to go away.
When they stopped running the three of them stood outside of a small stone cabin in the forest clearing. Catherine walked to the door and opened it by standing on her tippy toes to reach the handle. Once the door was open Mary took the girl inside and set her down on the bed as she took out a towel and some bandages. "Where is your wound?" She asked the child.
Karissa looked up, tears still streaming down her eyes as she removed her hand from her shoulder, reviling her wound. She looked down at it, barely able to see it. She could feel it though. She looked up at the girl with hopefulness in her eyes, almost begging her to make the pain go away.
Catherine looked carefully at the wound. "Its lucky we found you when we did." She said as she cleaned the wound with the wet towel. "I don't want to imagine what would've happened if we hadn't. Why was that man after you anyway?" She asked.
Karissa looked up at the girl unable to reply to her question. She could pick out bits and pieces of words that she knew, but with her limited vocabulary, it was difficult. "Project... 946." She said, pointing at herself.
"She doesn't seem to have a wide vocabulary." Catherine said from the kitchen of the small cabin. Mary continued to tend to the childs wounds as she asked more questions. "What do you mean by experiment? You weren't given to a lab, were you?" The Dragon slayer asked her.
Karissa processed the sentence for a few moments and shrugged. She never knew any life before the lab, so she couldn't say. She started to sway a bit from the blood she had lost, grabbing onto the bed for support. Her eyes started to droop.
Mary put a hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright? If you have to lay down please do so you don't strain yourself." She told her.
Karissa looked up at her with heavy eyes and laid down on the bed. Her eyes shut and she passed out, feeling light-headed and dizzy.
Mary sighed as she covered the child with the beds warm sheets. "Part of me wonders if I should go findthat man and ask for some answers." Catherine said from a warm seat in front of a roaring fire. "You won't be hurt, will you? You know how much I worry." Mary said as she looked down at the child. Catherine turned her head so she was facing her sister and she smiled an open mouth smile, showing a mouth full of fangs. "Shes in the home of the Dragon sisters. I intend to care for our guest as much as you do, my younger sister. To do that I want to know as much as I can about her." Wings appeared from behind Catherine and Mary was reminded that not all what it seems. She did not look it because she took the form of a child, but Catherine was not only the older sister of the two, but she was a Dragon. And a mighty powerful one at that. A tail uncoiled itself fr under her dress and the end hit the floor with a plop, dragging along the wood and carpet as Catherine went outside in search of the man.
Upon feeling the warm bed sheets surround her, she curled up into them. The feeling of her cold, weak body warm up soothed her and calmed her down. Her breaths became even and she only shifted when she heard background noise of Catherine's alterations in appearance. Little did Catherine know that the lady who had been leading Karissa out of Harms way in the beginning had decided on following her out the door, hoping on helping her accomplish her task.
Catherine walked out of the door and closed it behind her, flying near the ground as she scouted the forest for the man with the gun. She didn't expect anyone would've followed her out of the house so she didn't bother trying to check behind herself although she did sense something behind her but thought it to be a mere forest animal.
