"Mhmk." Jessbelle accepted the tome and leafed through the pages, her fingers stopping when she got to the page on weaponry summoning. Her eyes raked over the page as she took in the amount of energy required to summon even a small dagger. "Wow, you really think I'll be able to pull this off eventually?"
Neil looked at the page. "Yeah, I think it should be rather easy for you." A katana appeared in his hand. "See? It's easy. Try it."
Focusing her energy, Jessebelle cleared her mind and tried thinking of a weapon. She summoned the first thing that came to her mind, which oddly enough was a two handed sword. It had a demon's wing on one side of the hilt and an angels wing on the other, seeming to co-exist on the same blade. "Whoa." Jessebelle murmured, feeling a little stronger instead of weaker.
(The Sword)
"Whoa. I don't think I've ever seen a weapon such as this." Neil sent his own weapon away and stared at it in awe. "Is this the weapon you wanted to summon?"
"I guess, I just cleared my head and for some reason this was the first thing that popped into my head." Handing the sword over to Neil, she picked up the book from where she had set it down and looked at the cover. "Wait, the sword is on the spine of the book!" Jessebelle said, turning the book to see the spine.
Neil Traced his hand over the spine of the book, then looked at the sword in his hand. "I have only heard of this once. It was a child's storybook where the hero used a blade that looked exactly like this."
Smiling, Jessebelle sat on the edge of her bed to see if she could send it back. Not a chance. "I thought you only read tomes and books about magical training." She teased, biting her lower lip as she did. After a couple more seconds the blade in her hand disappeared, leaving a faint impression in her hand.
Neil grinned at her. "I left my training one day and found it at the library. I stole the book and it was the only thing besides the tomes that I read. I didn't think it was important, so I didn't bring it up when we talked earlier about those things."
"Ah finally, I get to know the thieving, training ditching, and rebellious Neil." She laughed, grabbing the book from Neil. Relaxing her mind, she managed to summon a small dagger easily. Twirling it in her fingers, she bit her lip again and looked at Neil. "Is it scary I'm a natural at this?"
Neil shook his head no. "I'm actually kind of jealous. I was never really good at a lot of spells automatically so it took me a lot of practice to get to where I am now with magic. But a lot of the advanced tomes I have access to are really difficult stuff. If you'd like I could get you something of a higher level. Or would you rather know what you're up against first with the higher level stuff?"
"Um, lets try the higher level stuff and then figure out what went wrong. That's always more fun." Laughing, Jesseelle tossed the book on the bed behind her. "Lets go." She smiled, pulling her knees up to her chest to await the higher level tomes. (How many tomes do you want her to go through before she gets stuck?)
(Well we could let her try this one and find a spell she can't do yet.)
Neil ran out of the room and came almost immediately back with a small armfull of tomes. "I found some, mistress." He announced as he laid them all out onto the floor. "Feel free to pick whichever you'd like." He said, not also noticing that he had grabbed his own journal which contained spells but a diary of sorts that he kept.

Jessebelle had noticed that a book in the pile didn't match the rest, and picked it up. Looking at the cover, she handed it to Neil without a word . "I beleive this is yours." She smiled, reading each of the tomes in turn and picking up the one that had interested her the most. "Protection and Projection. Sounds cool." Jessebelle opened to a random page, reading the incantation in her head. After a couple seconds of nothing happening, she decided she would start with this book.
Neil took his journal out of her hand and began to flip through the pages, reading the spells occasionally that he was experimenting with.
"Hellllo." Jessebelle waved her hand in front of Neil's face trying to get him to pay attention. "Lets start with this one." She handed Neil the book, purposefully not looking at his journal in case he didn't want her to see anything.
Neil looked up from his reading and saw the book she wanted to start with. "Interesting choice. Are you sure you wish to start with that? I Have some easier spells written down in here I use for practice." He said, holding his journal.
(Want to drop this RP and just do another?
(I'm fine with continuing. Why, have you lost interest?)
(Possibly. But we did drag this one out a lot. "The Ice Has Melted" only lasted 22 pgs and "Chains of Freedom" was approx. 39 pgs.)
