Tertius (played anonymously)

"Quiet here... Must please it... It beckons me..." a voice mutters to itself. It is all staccato like it's owner is shivering or jittery.

The night has been long, far longer than it should've been. The air is charged with an eerie almost pulse like beating, it resonates the strongest near a sheltered cliff. Lightning flashes off in the distance, the humidity is beginning to reach a breaking point - it will soon be a complete down pour.

An average sized man stands on a small out cropping of rock in front of a corner where two cliffs converge at a sharp angle with the ground making a tight corner only accessible by climbing up both sections of the converging cliffs at once. He seems to where nothing but a ratty leather cloak covered in a tattered burlap traveling shawl. His face is obscured by the cowl of the leather cloak, all but his nose down to his scruffy chin hairs and the bare front section of his neck. The cloak ends at his calves and forearms which are all bare to the ends of his extremities. His outward appearance shows he has very little stock in the world, a hermit of sorts, but his insesent twitching would indicate an obvious problem lies beyond the surface.

The man is too preoccupied to pay too much attention to anything outside of his "little world", he is the only one around for several miles of untamed wilderness.
Glacius (played anonymously)

Amidst the lightning strikes a large object was falling from the sky at slow speeds almost like it was floating to the ground. This object was heading towards one of the cliff walls, a powerful Boom shook the ground upon impact. The object now embedded into the face of the cliff appeared to be a mass of solid ice, this ice was in no way ordinary for the core gave off a stunning sky blue glow.

What appeared to be a man suddenly appeared on the ice, staring at the man above him Glacius muttered to himself "So, the time has come to see what these creatures know."

Glacius then turned morphed his arms into ice picks and began to scale the face of the cliff.

The strange man barely even batted an eyelash when the comet like projectile slammed into the cliff face, he was too engrossed in what he was scribbling with rocks onto the side of the stone. It was a series of shapes that overlapped over a massive expanse of runic writing and numbers. In the drawing the numbers 0,1 and 3 and all of three's multiples seemed to appear a lot and the shapes of triangles and circles were the most abundant as well.

"It watches me from above... The light in near... The time is soon..." he says as he continues to mutter.

"What was that? Is someone else there? Hello?!" another voice called out, it at least seemed to have noticed the loud boom and shaking. It came from the strange man... Or very close to him at least. The new voice sounded the same as the strange man's but it used complete sentences and seemed somewhat more aware of it's surroundings.

The strange man paused from his work and dug into the recesses of his cloak and fished around till he found what he was vaguely aware of that he had been searching for. Almost like he either didn't care about hat he had found, or he lost interest, or forgot about it entirely, he dropped a small triangular shard of mirrored-glass with strange markings on it.
Glacius (played anonymously)

Now, having scaled most of the cliff Glacius morphed his body into something similar to a puddle of liquid ice, it wasn't water but some sort of blob of amorphous ice. Glacius now moved up the wall of rock with ease, like some sort of light adhesive. Upon reaching the summit the blob stretched like a slinky and within a fraction of a second reverted back to his humanoid form.

He stood before the strange man as he continued to carve into the rock. Glacius was amazed as he looked all around this strange man, astounded by the intricacy of the carvings. Glacius stops as he notices the triangular shard on the ground, he kneeled down and grabbed it. Glacius recognized what this was apart of, his green eyes widened as he continued to examine it.

Upon picking up the small shard of mirror a faint human image could be seen, it was only partial, only revealing enough of a human face to see the eye of the person on the other side. "Yes! I see you now! At long last, someone who isn't that monster who stole me. To whom do I make this acquaintance? I am Tertius, the only Trignomancer left in this reality. As you can see I am indeed trapped here, please handle me gently." the voice said through the shard, it vibrated with his voice as the pattern on the glass pulsed, moved and rearranged itself beneath the surface of the glass.

"My, my. Could you be... What a delight! A living comet... Tell me foreigner, what luck brought you to me?" Tertius within the glass said. Tertius had known many things before his untimely demise, the first among them being life was present everywhere - in, on, out and off the Earth.
Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius had no clue what to think, This technology in his hand was so simple, and yet so advanced. Glacius responded to the voice first using his native language, then telepathically in English.

"I come here searching for the power core of my ship, My name is not one that can be spoken but you may call me Glacius."

The ice being still curious about the small triangular object he had in his grasp morphed one of his fingers into a needle sized spike and gently prodded and poked the object.

The eye behind the glass blinked as the icy humanoid spoke, he said the same thing twice - one overlapping the other. "I'm sorry, no need to translate on my account. This mirror seems to break down language barriers, I can speak to you in your native tongue and I can understand you in my native tongue."

Upon mentioning a core the eye looked uncertain, "I am not sure what you mean by 'core' perhaps this was lost in translation. Do you mean 'heart'? As for a ship, I can't say I've even known a boat to house a heart." the voice said. "But I will help to the best of my ability. Perhaps tell me what it looks like or where you think it is...", but before the mirror could finish speaking something odd happened, the air seemed to ripple and distort.

"i̪͎͖̳̬̅̇ͫͅ ͕̯̻̯̆C͉͎̮̺͙̯̹̈̐̒̆ͧoͬ̓̃̓͋ǘL͈̺̣̮ͥ̎̀̚D̩̙͉͚͚ͫ ̟̳̞SH̥̪̗̤̰͇͌͌̇̔̂̚o̖͂Ẁ̬͎̩̈́̎͑ͯ͂̈́ ̗ͧ͛͌͛͆̉̄Y̻͎͛o̾ù̱͛ͮ.͈̟̯̭̅͛ͬ͛̈́.̜͓̻̰̌̋̃ͮͭ̑̑.̋̿́́͌ͬͣ"Tertius's voice said before distorting as the mirrored glass and

the strange scribbling man spoke in almost perfect unison.

((OCC: Thank you so much for the Kudos!!! I'll write you one once I get a better feel for how you operate, I like to make mine personal and well thought out for the person I am giving Kudos to!!! 8'D))
Glacius (played anonymously)

(OOC: Dude that thing you just did there... im digging it lol)

Glacius stopped poking at the object and looked at the man, then back at the object in his hands "Is this being you?" Glacius said he stood upright again and looked above noticing the sky. "The core I speak of is somewhat like a human heart yes, however it is more reminiscent of Earths magma. It is comprised of the same material that my body is made of, my ship can fly without it but it takes a toll on my body and it is crucial that I find it." said the alien creature he then asked "What is causing this to your planet's atmosphere?"

he paused and poked the blinking eye, it had started to puzzle him how an object that was solid could have such motion without any kind of mechanical properties.

((OCC: Thanks, I have the link where you can mess around with it as well.))

"Yes... Well, no... What I mean to say is... That is my body and my mind but that is not my heart or 'core' as you call it. My very being was trapped in here when the Madness took over. The Madness is a pan-dimensional demonic being that I accidently released during my last spell over a few centuries ago. I managed to beat It and sealed it away within my body and mind... as a result I was forced out into the closest thing near me at the time... A mirror." Tertius's voice said from within the mirror as the glass flashed a quick series of images that coincided with the story.

"As pay back before the Madness faded out of this reality, he shattered the mirror I was in and destroyed every piece except the one you are holding. With the Madness now gone my body suffers irreparable internal scarring from when it was inside... My body has gone mad and taken on a life of its own..." Tertius said sadly. The strange man continued to scribble furiously on the rock face, intentionally ignoring Glacius and Tertius.

At the mention of the sky, the eye in the mirror looked up and witnessed for the first time in years what the world around him looked like. "Oh my..." Tertius said in shock. "Please don't tap on me, it is very distracting. Please allow me to look into what is causing this weather...", he said before the eye vanished and a small pinhole of light began to grow in size and intensity across the mirror's surface. It was like a shimmering sky blue beam of high powered light. Before long it faded and became replaced by the eye once more. "-What did you see?" Tertius asked as if he didn't get to see what Glacius had (or hadn't) seen.
Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius felt somewhat disappointed "I saw nothing... Nothing what so ever." Which he knew wasn't entirely truthful, He had seen something but that something was not describable with the vocabulary he possessed.
Tertius (played anonymously) Topic Starter

"I'm sorry... I'd be more help if I could but for me to help more you'll need to be more specific in what you want me to look for." Tertius said before a single drop of rain fell on the surface of the glass. "Is that... Rain? I haven't seen rain in a long time, haven't felt it in even longer!" the eye of Tertius said.

The strange man tilted his covered head up to the sky as more drops fell, he sneered and pressed his hand on the surface where he had been writing. The stone depressed inward with the sound of stone grinding on stone; a small passage that went in about 33 feet long, roughly 2 and a half feet tall and was in the shape of an equilateral triangle. The hermit went inside to escape from the rain and walked on all fours till he was huddled in the very back of the cave and quickly fell asleep.

Tertius had noticed the entire thing, "Perhaps it has the right idea... I can't see well when drops fall on me." the mirror said to Glacius. "You can stay inside with us if you'd like, I can't say that the creature back there is very good company but he leaves others alone if they don't bother him. Maybe I can continue to help with your search?"
Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius acknowledged the request. He stood "Let us move then." Glacius said as he started walking towards the mouth of the cave.

((Again, sorry to be a pest. But I am anxious to see what Tertius can do in a fight later on. ^^'))

Still in Glacius' hand, Tertius went in with the icy foreigner. "So where would you like me to look next?" Tertius asked as the silence of the triangular cave seemed to swallow them almost as much as the darkness was. Lightning flashed in greater frequency now, the rain was not longer a mist either, thick heavy drops began to splash just outside the cave opening.

A small tink made a faint noise from where the strange man was curled in a ball. Out of the folds of his cloak tumbled a small triangular pyramid. It would easily fit in the palm of a person's hand at its base. It was pearly white and seemed to glow with the same whiteness, it could easily be seen from the mouth of the cave where Tertius and Glacius were.
Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius heard a tink as the pyramid fell, His eyes were drawn to it. He asked Tertius "What is that Object? What components are it made of and what are its functions?" Glacius didn't wait for a response, He walked towards it and grabbed it in his free hand.
Tertius (played anonymously) Topic Starter

"What is what?" Tertius began as Glacius began to walk over. "That's... Oh. Oh no. Don't touch it. It gets really angry when people touch the Pyramid." Tertius began to warn, but it was too late.

Glacius would see that the pyramid in his icy hands was made of a glowing opal-like rock. The bands that twisted around it were made from a dull and severely scratched metal that was slightly darker than the rest of the pyramid, a protective guard of some sort? Across one side, which one could assume was the front of the dingus, was a seal of some sort, it was round and beveled with layers resembling the contours of a white human iris.

Without warning the mirror began to glow again, as did a pair of lights from under the strange man's hood. Out of the gloom the bony yet strong hand of the strange man shot out and grabbed at Glacius' wrist. The body and mind didn't care about the intense cold from the touch, but the mirror vibrated like it was shivering.

"S̰o͚̜̠̺̙̥͍ ͍C͍o̞̝̜̲͉̹̩̙͙L̩̤D͇̙͉̭ ̝̩̙̯̫̥̯̥i̥̞̟̮ͅN͉̜͖̠̼̝ ̥̳̲̣̜̹̮H͇͍e̜̺̙̮̦R̟͙̠̘̥̫̜e̫̤̺̦͓̰̠͓.̥̝.̝.̠͕̳͖̬" the mirror said with a shaky disembodied voice.

At the same time a similar disembodied voice spoke. "M̦̖͖̪̼͎̜̬i̻̤̺̤̺͇̝̥̱̣̗͍̖̰̖͖ͅN̹͙͖̬͉̱̤̪̩e̞̖̭̮̘̻̻͖̫.̗̞̜̪̣̭͉̠̬̟͔̺͙̣̳̯̝̝̲", the strange man said obviously annoyed.
Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius slowly turned his head towards this creature that was once man, The alien released the pyramid and turned his arm into a spiked club of sorts.

"If I kill this creature, what happens?" The alien asked rather upset by the creatures rude actions.
Tertius (played anonymously) Topic Starter

Before the mirror could respond to the question the strange man got up, released his grip on Glacius and retrieved the pyramid. As soon as the body of what used to be Tertius touched the pyramid a wall of white shimmering light separated the strange man from the icy foreigner. The wall lined the sides and floor of the triangular cave and began to push outward towards the mouth of the cave. The slow, unrelenting push would cause the mirror shard to drop, but unlike Glacius the mirror was unaffected by the barrier and passed right though as the wall moved over it.

The strange man picked up the mirror and held it in one hand and the pyramid in the other. The pyramid had started to glow with greater intensity as if it were feeding its latent power to the strange man. As Glacius was pushed almost to the end of the tunnel the strange man crouch-walked after the wall as if wanting to watch what would happen next, his face was still obscured from the bridge of his nose up by the shadow of his hood but his eyes... They glowed with an otherworldly power, they were white and featureless aside from glowing like two supernova.

"M̦͇̖͇̬̭̳̦̠̱̳̪̪̠̥̭i͎͈͎̯ͅN͚̠̻̻̗̳̹̘͇̺̞͔̗̻̰̘͖̺͔ẹ̯͕̖͈͈͖͎̠͙̭͉!͙͚͕", it repeated angrily as he had Glacius near the edge of the cliff in the now pouring rain and flashing

Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius heard the cry for help, not willing to be so easily over powered he launched a thick wall of ice behind him. Coating the entire edge of the cliff, an ethereal glow shined from within the alien. An aurora type of light, the alien pushed against the force and walked forward toward the man. Glacius began to speak, his voice had changed sounding like several voices at once emenating from the same source.

Glacius levitated hovering off of the ground in front of the vile creature that possessed the body of his new friend, Looking in awe the man was silent. Glacius said in this new found voice "Though hath wronged thine people. behold the power of the glacier, The power of the comet, You shall not feel my wrath... Nor shall though feel my vengeance on this physical plane. Though are a force of bitterness and dismay, you are the embodiment of chaos..."

The alien of ice released a wave of snow thick enough to block all vision, once the blast had subsided the demon was encased in a prism of permafrost.

"Behold... That which is Glacius... And acknowledge the wrongs you have caused. Demon! Leave thine host, and feel the repercussions of your vile deeds."

The alien launched shards of ice surrounding the prism, they engulfed the prism as Glacius lifted his arms to the sky.

A bright flash of color and light blinding everything within a 30 mile radius. Once it vanished Glacius was seen standing as he was before.

"Do you submit vile creature?" Glacius asked the man awaiting a response.

The barrier came to a halt as ice accumulated around the narrow cave, before long the aurora seemed to split the barrier into thirds before shattering. The mirror was tucked away back inside the strange man's pockets as Glacius began his approach.

whiteout the strange man found himself trapped within an icy prism. As the huge icicles dangled in mid-air waiting to strike a blinding flash of light that would've blinded a normal person for the rest of their life fell away leaving the body of Tertius limp as it seemed to have gone lifeless for a moment.

ritualistic spasmodic movements. A new flash of light was released from the pyramid that had dropped to the ground behind the body of Tertius. The ice was flash fried away, as steam poured out of the cave a series of spectral white tattoos spread across the entire body of what had once been Tertius.

Glacius (played anonymously)

Glacius wasn't deterred by the charged attack, he stood his ground and turned his arm into an ice saber, he took up a position to strike if needed.

Glacius then gave a warning "Know this creature, my species is more than mere ice. If I puncture your flesh I have the power to freeze your innards within seconds, my survival in this mission takes higher priority than helping this Tertius character that you possess."

While attempting to speaking to this dangerous being, Glacius was setting up his defenses behind his opponent. Casting a 20 foot high spiked ice wall.
