The woman was tossed into a broom closet and a candle was lit, she was alone. In the closet hung a single outfit, a dress. Long with white accents on red fabric, 'Change for the admiral!' A guard could be heard outside the planky walls of the closet, the sound of the sea was on the other side. No windows, a dress, and a single light were all that was in this small cramped room. But upstairs the admiral's personal chef was preparing the best food on board the ship. 'You have three minutes,' the other guard yelled. The guards and the entire crew were a bit annoyed, half that he was treating her to their best foods even though she may be a pirate. And the other half that he was getting a girl, their imaginations soared as they hadn't been to land in almost a month.
Iveth stumbled into the room, catching herself before she could run into the wall then growled lowly. Her expression immediately turned sour at their command. Change for him?! She turned from the wall, noticing the dress that was hung and scanned it up and down. She'd probably wasted her first minute sizing it up, however she would be a liar if she didn't think it was flamboyant. Why did he have a dress on board at all? With this she decided not to complain and instead muttered curses alongside prayers.
Perhaps her three minutes were over, but she couldn't tie the corset, at least not on her own. Huffing, she pushed open the door and peered out to one of the guards. "If you want me to be on time so badly then tie this," she gathered her hair over her shoulder. "Please," she added quickly as to not be completely rude.

A guard told Hiro to stop singing. Hrio told the guard to make him stop. The guard opened up the gate and took him by the lapel of his gi.
"I said stop yer singin', punk," he growled.
Hiro rammed his skull into that of the guard, knocking him out cold. When the second guard rushed in to restrain the boy, Hiro fell back on his butt and rammed both of his bound heels into the guard's crotch. Two guards down, and one of them had the key he needed to free himself.
After using the key, he peeked up on deck. He whistled to one of the crew members and stuck his tongue out at him. The crewman tapped the man next to him, and they both rushed to the brig hatch.
Hiro stepped back into the under-deck area and waited for the crew members to barge into that confined space. The small space would limit how many could come down at a time, and Hiro had all the time in the world to take them down one or two at a time. It would be a nice warm up for the main event.

The cell door was now open bellow deck but the only key to his chains was around Sam Thorne's neck. This meant that if Hiro was to try and fight he'd have to do it in heavy chains... But upon further inspection the chains were wrapped around both arms down to his hands meaning he'd not only have to carry these heavy restrains but he'd also have to fight without use of his arms. Would it be worth it to fight or wait to see if Iveth could get the key?
Up on the middle deck, the guards had helped the pirate woman with her dress, blushing as lonely sea dogs would helping a female dress. But they were given strict orders to leave her untouched. So they escorted her up to the upper deck. Rain poured onto the men top side, flowing over the edges. It had gotten later and later and by this time Griffon had already claimed his victory, but this ship wasn't heading east, it was sailing south.
Navy ships were under orders never sail into the Dagger Gates. No matter what the cost. If they were about to die, if a sea creature strayed to far out of its deep dark home, no matter what! So south they sailed, and as the guards opened the door they gave Iveth a nudge pushing her into the room and closing the door. This left the two of them all alone together, "welcome miss..." He was inquiring her name.

To her fortune they complied, tying the laces to where it fit snug, but not at all too tight and as she was being led to the upper deck she rehearsed multiple situations in her head. What all would be be asking? What did he expect and so forth. Even with all this she couldn't guarantee that she was prepared. Events could always take a sharp turn and when it did she'd need to move as fast as it comes.
The rain hardly got a chance to peck at her skin before she was pushed into another room. Not confirmed on what face to put on her expression remained neutral, her eyes observing the room until they lastly fell on him and that is when he spoke. Her answer didn't come immediately, but it came out eventually. "Iveth," she spoke flatly, making not attempt to enter the room further. Matter of fact, she was standing by the door as though waiting for the privilege to leave despite the hunger that would at any minute cause her stomach to growl.

Hiro was having a time as crewmen slowly, in manageable numbers, investigated the strange noises coming down from the brig. The more skulls and bones he smacked with his chains, the sooner he felt the locks might break on their own. Even if they didn't, he was having way too much fun to slow down. He piled up their bodies in the cells. Someone was sure to notice the crew thinning out in key parts of the ship. Things would start to get really interesting then.
Finally enough navy men piled into Hiro's chambers to restrain him, 'I don't care what Thorne says!' One of them yelled. 'Yeah,' Another shouted, 'Lets hang this freak right now!' Cannonballs were attached to the chains, only further weighing the boy down. Almost a dozen men had been broken by the small child's attacks, doctors entered as the guards pulled Hiro out onto the soaked deck. About a hundred men were on this ship, there would be no way a single man, or boy child could fight off all of them. 'HANG HIM! HANG HIM!' The men chanted, but the sounds of the storm kept the Admiral's courter oblivious to the sounds other then rain and thunder.
As for inside, as the men prepared to hang a pirate boy, Thorne was doing his best to make friendly with Iveth. "Iveth.... What an oddly beautiful name," Thorne sat at the table, the knife's had been removed because she was suspected of piracy. A fork and a spoon sat on either side of a large platter of sword fish with shrimp and seaweed salad. "I do hope you don't mind sea food, or having it with me." He saw that she was still standing near the door, and frowned as he took his seat. "Please sit my lady, please trust that I'm not going to poison you, I just have a few questions about the Jolly Captain Rogers..."

Despite being by the door she couldn't hear the chants beyond the storm. Her eyes narrowed, but only slightly as she tried to sum him up though something like that would take time to do. Iveth wasn't flattered. Had she said another name, perhaps her real one, he would've said the same. "I don't mine the seafood. I do mind you though," she brought her point across as one of distrust.
She caught his frown, pinching up a brow before he spoke again. Sighing heavily she made her way over, smoothing the dress against her legs before she sat. She was actually surprised herself that she remembered that. She hadn't worn a dress in a very long while. "Glad to answer them," it couldn't be determined whether she was being sarcastic or not, however she knew herself that she wanted her ship back. She'd comply.

Hiro still had energy, technically, but it was no use to try and lift the cannon balls on his chains. So rather than resist the weight, he decided to use it.
though restrained, he managed to force certain parts of his body, his elbow for instance, downward for increased power. This moves made him all the more difficult to restrain, even if they didn't help him escape.
Men threw lassoed ropes at him, saving them from having to restrain him up close. Even so, Hiro threw around his weight in ways that kept the rope handlers off balance, to the point where everyone had to take a rope to stop him.
There then came a crack of metal. Hiro managed to slam a cannon ball onto the restraints around his ankles, freeing him to run and kick at long last.
Another idea came to his mind. He slipped his arms under a lasso and began twisting them together, pinching and grinding the rope. When someone tried to get in close to stop him, Hiro feet would put a quick end to that.
One rope came loose, and the men holding it stumbled back. There came a wooden crate hurdling toward Hiro's hear, but the boy managed to shatter it with his skull, opening a wound on his head as he did so. But what was pain to Hiro right now? He was in full berzerk mode, he could feel no pain anymore. What he could feel, however, was loss of breath from the remaining ropes around him constricting his upper body. This, combined with head trauma and his constant exertion, depleted his energy until he fainted.

"So," Sam began, "just need a few questions answered, first off who rescued Rogers in the first place." Thorne began to eat his swordfish, breaking it apart with his fork and shoveling it into his mouth. "And next, where are they heading? Where is this ultimate treasure??" He awaited her answer, allured to her outfit and the way she looked in the old dress.
The storm outside picked up wind sweeping the ship closer and closer to an island that even fishermen wouldn't go to near it. Claiming it to be the Island of Predators, whatever that meant. Either way... With the crew focused on the murder of this small warrior child. Making sure he learned his lesson after what he did before he collapsed. This would be the end fore him, if they didn't run into the island first! Rain continued to poor.
Two men lay unconscious and broken before more had constrained Hiro by the neck. The chains had gotten tangled around his upper body and this had been a flaw in the original guards tying him up in the chains originally.
But none of that mattered now, a half dozen ropes were tossed upwards still strung around Hiro's neck. The men up there attempted to lift the boy but the chains weighed too much, 'get more men up here!' Navy men, eyes filled with rage pulled themselves up towards the upper mast.

The question came like a piece of a puzzle, fitting into her formulated story perfectly. "When I saw him he had already escaped and I was in the middle of gathering my equipment for my next voyage," she took the fork between her fingers, but waited until she explained everything thoroughly before she would eat. "He bribed my crew with a.. a map on his chest," she feigned her remembrance, "but neither Hiro or I wanted any part of it. He was being chased, so he had the crew- my crew force us down into the lower deck and took control over my ship.. I can only recall that he said something about Garden of Dragons." Iveth trailed off, her eyes drifting over the edge of the table, staring at nothing.
Afterwards she sighed heavily, nearly slumping down in her chair in disappointment. "My ship was attacked after that, patched up, then.. stolen" she dared to utter the last of it through her fingers, however this was a true emotion. She was greatly displeased that her ship had been ripped out from right under her nose. It was then that she felt the need to take a bite from the dish prepared.

Hiro came to after a minute or two. So, they had tied him from head to toe. He smiled. He, a young boy, had proven his might against a crew full of grown men. Though conscious, he was drained. Even so, he has something he wanted to do first.
One of the crew members shouted over the others, bringing them to a slow silence. That crew member then grabbed Hiro by the lapel of his gi. "Any last words, kid?" he growled.
"You have no honor," said Hiro. "You want kill me when captain say no. If you strong, if you manly, you go get captain, and then you kill me like men, not like animal!"
"And what about you!? You come here and injure dozens of us like a wild tiger! What right have you to call us animals?"
"I fight to protect my captain," said Hiro. "I fight for same reason you fight! I just better!"
Hiro received a strong hit to the gut. Not the first he had taken like that, so he recovered quickly enough to speak again. "You act like child," he coughed. "Act like man!"
The crewman took Hiro by the hair and exposed his throat. "Someone get the captain!" he bellowed. "We got something he needs to see."

The crew now knew Iveth was the pirate captain because of Hiro's big mouth. A man sent a crew mate to go tell the captain but this wouldn't stop the killing of the tiger child. The crews chanting hadn't died down and neither did the storm. The chained up boy was lifted, chains around his body ropes around his neck. This was his execution and he would be put to death here on this ship if it wasn't for...
At the same time Admiral Thorne had a few more questions, "ok so your not part of the crew." He was actually a bit relieved by this lie, "then why did the small man child attack my ship?" But her statements weren't adding up. "And if you aren't part of the crew tell me who is give me some names of the stronger crew mates?" A crew mate knocked on the door, 'captain! It's all a lie!! She is a pi...'
All at once the ship hit a giant rock hidden by the waves and tilted sideways before bending back throwing crew off the deck. Hiro was swung by the neck for a second, choking and gagging, but the ropes snapped releasing him. Iveth, and the Admiral were tossed around his quarters and the crew mate who had entered was thrown threw the glass window into the rocky sea! 'Get the ship under control!' A crew mate yelled! 'Where is the prisoner?' Another called, but the crew was too busy getting the ship under control.
The ship slammed against the side of a cliff tossing more people about before the ship went up on a beach and slumped over a bit. Everyone was either unconscious, dead, or lost in the waves. What was this mysterious island and why wasn't it on any of the navy maps... No people lived on this island, and it was always raining here. But what weird creatures lived on this strange island? And how would they get off??

As Thorne sent her another set of question she sighed and pushed her fork onto her plate. She was prepared to answer on Hiro's behalf, but it seemed the admiral wasn't understanding what she had said prior. The crew was her crew and it was they who had become affiliated with Rro. For a moment or two she contemplated whether she would mention the story teller or not, but, then again, Griffon was no real threat. He only wanted to come along in order to fill up his little journal.
The new voice at the door nearly startled Iveth, but not towards what he was going to say. It was simply a surprise, that's all. The woman had made sure she had a way to evade any accusation against her. The man can yell she was a pirate all he liked and it would serve nothing. She knew how to deal with it and was more than prepared to deal with it, her mouth opening in response to the admiral before a sudden impact was made on the ship. Iveth was propelled from the table and into the wall while the man, a foot away, was thrown right through the window. The back of her head hit hard against the wooden wall, whiting out her vision and throwing off her sense of balance, however it didn't end there. They were tossed around plenty until the ship finally came to a stopping point.
Still yet to regain her sight and right to stand, Iveth rolled onto her side and groaned lightly. Her hands sank into her hair and pressed against her aching scalp thought that wasn't the only thing that ached. Her back had taken quite a beating.

The chains broke.
Somehow during the jolt, the bindings around Hiro's wrists broke, allowing him to move freely at last. If only he were at full strength under these extremely dire circumstances.
No time to be tired. He had a captain to rescue! He pushed past his fatigue and found the captain's door. "Hah!" He kicked down the door and found Iveth and Thorne. He grabbed Iveth over his shoulder, took a huge bite of the swordfish on the floor, and ran back onto the deck. "Wake up!" he shouted. "We need plan! Wake up! Hayaku!"

A quick sword swipes left a tear in Hiro's gee, red staining the white fabric. Thorne watched as the little man crashed backwards threw the window while holding the girl. "Iveth!" Thorne called, his emotions taking over for a second. The water bellow wasn't very deep because they were very close to the islands shore, though the admiral hoped the fall itself hadn't killed the beauty. 'Captain!' A crew mate shouted from deck.
Thorne still weak from the crash stood and made his way outside. "Find the woman and the street fighter!" He yelled, "KILL THE BOY! The girl is mine!" He knew they would underestimate the child if he said he was wounded so he wouldn't state that. The cut was closer to a cool battle scar then any sort of fatal blow. But the crew didn't ride, most were wounded or dead and only a few rose at first pointing at the island.
Thorne looked in horror as this was the island told about in myth, three small Rocky Mountains surrounded by thick jungle scape. It was only a few miles long and rather skinny too but it was known in children's horror stories. "This can't be..." Thorne said out loud, it was said the creatures here were unlike anything of this world. "Men, exercise extreme caution!" He heard a roar through the dense jungle sounds, "Predator Island."

As one of the many symptoms from head injury Iveth was very slow to process what the boy said- let alone confused in her drowsiness. She was so tempted to go into a blissful sleep, but Hiro's shaking kept her awake for the most part. Even so, time and time again her eyes tried to close, her hands searching for something but nothing as they subconsciously touched the boy's face and chest, perhaps trying to get him to stop. She'd even tried to talk, however her words weren't coherent, sounding slurred together and like soft moans.
Blood finally revealed itself from her hair, trickling down her temple, through her brow, meeting the corner of her eye before trailing off her cheek. Hopefully this was only a gash in the scalp and nothing more, but it seemed as though Iveth was getting nowhere re-possessing her right state of mind, and the minute Hiro would stop she'd lie inert.

Hiro ignored the pain in his side, as he did with all pain, and climbed his way to the edge of the tilting ship. There he saw a landmass, and he knew what he had to do.
He climbed to the ship railing and leapt off of the edge. He ran down the side of the ship and propelled himself to the wall of the cliff. He held on for dear life as the weight of the ran and Iveth pulled him down. He couldn't hold on, so he kicked himself off of the cliff face and dove ino the tool in sea.
He remembered Rogers promising to train him. He remembered how his first ordeal was to swim through the impossible waters, much like these. He would not fail.
He forced Iveth's head above the water as long as he could, and eventually he found a cliffside cave. Sure it was wet, cold, and had an entrance thrashed by wild waves, but they could rest here. Rest...
Hiro put Iveth on the cold stone. He then took off his belt and gi, wrapped them around his sword wound, and let himself collapse.

The men armed themselves with rifles and swords about fifteen men would adventure out to search for Iveth and the boy, while thirty of the men who do ship repairs and tend to the wounded. The communication pelicans or Telecans, were sent out carrying S.O.S. signals along with a general location of where they were in the Falling Sea. 'The repairs may take up to a week, unless we can get some of the wounded patched up and working,' a crew mate commented.
Admiral Thorne had finished loading his gear as some light poked threw the storm clouds, it was morning and to the crews surprise Thorne was going with the search party. "Alright, well meet back up with you in a few days." He paused thinking of the horrors that had been reported on the island, "If we aren't back in five days leave without us..."
Further in on the island prehistoric calls could be heard, ancient Raptors not stripped off this world when extinction was upon them. They evolved, reptiles of the past, smarter then people. Perfect hunters who feared only one. A roar bellowed from the rocky mountains, it was the last of it's kind a single Goliath among the smaller smarter dinosaurs. The Rex stomped around it's home near the center of the island as the Raptors brought him dead fishermen who had blow off course and stumbled onto the island.
These beasts had scales that took less damage from swords or bullets, this made them especially deadly... How many people would this island claim today, tonight, and the days to follow? And would this be the end of Iveth and Hiro???
(Now we shift back to Rogers, Skyra, and Griffon... Loving where this story has gone and is going.)

They had been sailing a few days as Rro as captain. Most the crew had entirely shifted their loyalties believing their captain to be dead. But as they sailed on Rogers felt the air get cool. Like so cool that it didn't chill your skin, but your bones. The sea was slowly turning from a rich aqua blue color to a deeper black, they had entered the Dagger Gates. The sea where Death doesn't dare to sail. "Griffon, you ever seen a zombie?" The pirate laughed as he continued to sail straight and true.
