Skyra was interested in knowing who the last one was, but before he could ask Athens, he left the ship and boarded his own. Skyra started to think about the Scrauser pirates Athens mentioned. "Huh... Now that I think of it, I don't know many Scrauser who are also pirates, but I do know our noses are often used for sniffing out metals under the water. Rarely do our noses fail when it comes to sniffing out treasure. In fact..." Skyra went to the edge of the board and started to sniff the water. "... No, that's just a rusty anchor. ...Wait, should I have said that?" He was worried he just gave the others on board ideas, and wanted to change the subject.
"...So, who's the fourth Pirate lord?" Skyra asked.
"...So, who's the fourth Pirate lord?" Skyra asked.
Griffon smiled to himself. He had work to do in order to make a name for himself. Then again, that was exactly why he was here. Unlike his ancestors, however, he was not just exploring his home, he was exploring the world. This meant a tougher challenge but an even bigger reward. "Ah, multiple?" He inquired. "I prefer to adventure to find stories of my own and stories that only I will spread, not other storytellers and bards." Griffon shrugged and was indifferent to the man.
"Thatch," Rogers said as a crew mate sat at the back of the Dragon cannon, "Edward Thatch, his bounty is twenty million Silvers..." Rogers had once been a crew mate on Thatch's ship, he knew this man was more dangerous then any other pirate on the sea. Athens just loved treasure hunting, Rogers liked the adventure of the sea, but Thatch... He enjoyed sailing straight up to military bases with his fortress of a ship and killing every last officer on the inside. And like all Pirate lords Thatch had powers, dark powers that consumed his enemies in death.
"In a few days well be out of this hell and back into the Falling Sea," Rro looked out at the sea, "we should only have one more aqua void before we reach Fireball Island, then it's on to the Exploding Sea..." He didn't want to say anything just yet about Thatch but Athens had left him no choice. But maybe it was for the better, Thatch also known as Black Beard, made his home in the Exploding Sea. It was more probable then not that they would run into him.

Athens sailed west, he had an Island of his own in the Dagger Gate's. The navy never bothered him and pirates rarely made it out of here if they didn't have a dragon cannon. The small white bird landed on his finger. "Who knows what Rogers would have done with you..." Athens smiled and turned away from the sunset as he sailed out of the story. "Go now," he tossed the bird into the air. "Jolly Captain '17 Million' will need you again Jack!" The Candle Stick Captain laughed as the white bird flew off singing its song into the wind.
((OOC: Back to Predator Island, Iveth, your up!))
((OOC: Back to Predator Island, Iveth, your up!))
The chill of the air against her drenched dress and skin urged Iveth to wake. Sight didn't come so easily due to the relentless waves of pain surging through her head to the back of her eyes, convincing her that she would be better off scooping them out with a spoon one after the other. In a moment or two the pain faded though it refused to subside.
Her half lidded eyes scanned over the area, but all that could be made out was the sloshing water against the rocks, and the roof of the cave over her head. Groaning she heaved herself up on her elbows and even the slightest movement caused her head to ache. As she peered down at her dress that, at the moment, stuck to her skin she pondered over when she had even put in on. Why would she want to wear such a contraption? With a little time she could probably bring up the memories.. or not. How did she even end up here, sprawled on this cold rock? She had recalled being bound by ropes on the Admiral's ship, but that was as far as she could muster. Even though Iveth was hard at recalling she could definitely conclude why that was. Something had to have hit her head hard that caused the excruciating headache she was fighting now. Every now then she winced and even with subtle light she kept her eyes at a squint, her brows kneaded together.
Glancing over she saw Hiro, still and lying not to far away. With the heavy rise and fall of his small chest he was definitely alive, but he looked as though his energy had been drained from him. Iveth was.. slightly content. As of now they both wanted most needed rest however as a roar resounded into the cave her eyes sprung wide. No one needed to question what that sound was and now she was not panicked, but cautious. Good God, how the hell did they end up here??
"Hiro?" it nearly sounded like a demand as she crawled over to the boy, knowing she'd slip if she tried to stand. The damn dress was a hindrance and she hastily grasped the fabric and jerked it quickly, ripping it to cut down on the length. "Hiro!" She called again, sounding exasperated.

Hiro picked himself up to a siting position, roused by the annoying woman's-voice. He muttered something in his native tongue, then saw their unexpected guest.
It looked like some kind of wingless bird with no feathers, like a really big chicken with teeth poking it's head into the cave.
Hiro grimaced and stood the rest of the way up. He looked at the beast and pointed at Iveth. "You eat her. Let me take nap." The giant chicken let out another roar, and Hiro let out a mocking roar of his own. "Oh, raaar! You so scary. You shut up or I break teeth out!"
The chicken lunched it's great maw down onto the boy, but Hiro stepped forward, spun on the ball of his foot, and rammed his heel between the chicken's big, fleshy nostrils.

The raptor hit the wall and called out in sort if a reptiles howl, its voice reverberated and echoed in its throat as another Raptor entered from the other side of the cave and growled! A third raptor entered behind the fallen one and helped her up, snarling the three stood ready to feed and with an echoed shout the two larger ones rushed at the pirate and the fighter! One stabbed into Iveth's dress barely missing her leg and the other bit hard into Hiro's forarm!
Almost a mile down shore Admiral Thorne and twenty Navy crewmen headed down the island towards Iveth and Hiro's location. A crew mate asked about where he thought the pirates had escaped too and the Admiral looked around. "I believe they could be anywhere in the midst of the island to walking along the shore..." Thorne decided to break head inward a bit as to cover a bit more space, unaware of the monsters that lurked behind the trees and in there dens.
More calls echoed through the constantly raining jungle, "this is bad, I say we give it till nightfall and just head back early." They had been looking for almost a day now and hadn't run into anything yet. No dinosaurs and no pirates but if they were alive on this island still they wouldn't be fore long. A crew mate fired a shot believing he saw something and the Admiral took his gun away. "Don't waste your fire, we're going to need all the ammo we can get." And the group walked on.

Iveth's gaze snapped towards the large raptor peeking into the cave and she refrained from moving though Hiro on the other hand was doing what he was good at: babbling. He'd even gone as far as to offer her up as something to eat and that's when it had clicked that she had no custody over the boy whatsoever. He wasn't her responsibility, she wasn't his, and he was making it very clear that this was "every-man-to-himself". If that's how he wanted it then that's how it'll be.
To her fortune the raptor's attention was drawn toward the boy, and disregarding her pulsing head she was about to make her escape until Hiro had managed to provoked the creature to call for more. If there had been a pebble or anything nearby she would've hurled it at him just to reiterate how stupid he was. Does he not think?! Was he not aware that raptors move in packs?!
Three more of the creatures had come charging in while one assisted the first. Iveth was quick to her feet though her head definitely paid the price for the sudden movement. Hell, it hurt to move, see, just about anything. Even thinking was painful, but she would be forced to. Having not noticed one of the approaching raptors she was lucky it was only the dress it had snapped at. It had ripped instead of lifting her and she was quick to notice that none of her weapons were on her. She'd have to stick with evading until she could find something, hut in the back of her mind she knew she'd be rattling up her brain with so much movement. Well, she'd rather that than serve as food for these beasts.
As the raptor was occupied with the cloth in its mouth Iveth had maneuvered around it, avoiding it's tail that attempted to sweep her feet from underneath her.. but even though the tail hadn't succeeded the slippery rock did. She was right back on her back and she cried out from the merciless pain spread along the back of her mind, yet it still wasn't enough to keep her from moving. She kicked herself back to the edge until she again hit the waters.

"Anata wa baka da," Hiro grumbled at the fallen woman. He turned his attention back to the giant chickens all around him. "You go away now."
Rather than go away, a number of them tried hopping on top of Hiro, their claws and teeth forward. Not a one landed however, as Hiro managed to sidestep them all and grab one by the tail. He spun once around and lobbed one of the chickens at the one attacking Iveth, knocking them both over.
The chickens dove at him again, causing the boy to lose his patience. He let out a loud cry as began throwing out hard, bout strikes at the crazy plucked birds. The ease with which Hiro manage to repel the chickens made them wary of him. A number of them bled from the mouth or the eyes, and they seemed disheartened.
Hiro pointed it the mouth of the cave. "You go now! Let me take nap!"

Turning there attention away from the pirate girl as soon as the boy began to yell at the around seven foot savage reptiles. From behind one grabbed Hiro with her teeth and tossed him to another who sunk his teeth into the boys left leg. All this yelling was aggravating the hungry beasts, but distracted them from the pirate woman in a dress. Four velociraptors surrounded the boy, it was time he learned to think with his head instead of his fists.
As for the Admiral... RAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH Two men were presently being chewed up and then swallowed! The giant dinosaur had been out feeding on Raptors and smaller feathered creatures when the navy saw it. Of course the first thought was to shoot and kill it against the Admiral's wishes... "Run you idiots!" Now everyone broke formation and began running in all different directions. Some back towards the ship, some ran inward towards the heart of the island and a few headed towards Iveth and Hiro, the westerly coast.
The Admiral was among the group running further into the heart of the island. "We will push north and curve west!" He yelled to the men following him as the giant Rex crushed a soldier under it's feet! Despite the lives lost they still needed to find Rogers, and pretty or not, Iveth was the Admiral's best lead.
The commotion on the westerly coast had attracted a few more Raptors but before they got to the cave grottos they 'found' the navy crew men. Guns blazed but in the end the creatures scales, quick thinking, and ultimately razor sharp talons and teeth ended the men in a quick maneuver! Nine men lay dead on the West coast with their insides being eaten, three men are inside the giant Rex, two men are squashed in the jungle some where, six men ran east to the ship, and five men including the Admiral are heading north being followed by the giant Rex!

The cold water nearly stung her skin, but it had heightened her adrenaline. Quickly she resurfaced though she immediately ducked right under after noticing the raptors weren't too far away and would notice her if she was creating attention worthy commotion. Instead, keeping herself a good three feet from the surface of the water, she swam to the shore, but not without making sure she had gained some distance from the cave. She would admit, she felt convicted, having left the boy to fend for himself with all the raptors flooding into the cave she had once been in and if she were to be honest she thought he was as good as dead by now. It's what happens when kids try and grow up too quickly to be pirates..
In reaching, the shore she was pummeled by the waves and she'd given up trying to stand against them. With a glance forward her eyes were struck wide, the sight of carcasses and carnage was revolting! For most of them their stomachs looked as though they were eaten from the inside out. Shuddering, she turned her eyes away and onto the raptors who were headed to the cave. By the sounds of it there were still more of the crew running about, being separated and scrambled upon the island only to be hunted down as individuals.
Iveth didn't want to waste a second being out in the open. She quietly strode over, light on her feet, to one of the bodies of the Admiral's men, taking whatever arsenal they had before sneaking into the forest as well. The vibrations from the ground and the soft pounding in the air said that there was a rex somewhere nearby therefore Iveth kept her distance, taking to the trees for temporary refuge.. but, then again, who knew what was in the trees. As for now, though, her head still ached, however thankfully it was dull, and trembling hands began to load the three rifles and a musket she had picked up.

Hiro screamed when the teeth sank into his flesh. He suddenly fell to his hands and knees, and that's when the raptors broke away from one another, allowing a much larger one to step toward the boy.
Hiro looked up at the beast, then lowered his head, bowing low before the beast.
"Fogi Sensei," he said to the raptor. Be began speaking to the creature in his native tongue. "Forgive me, Master Fogi. I'd not mean dishonor our school or you. Please forgive your pathetic student!" Tears began falling from his eyes, but the boy's fighting spirit has been dowsed.
One of the surrounding raptors stepped in to take a nip at Hiro's bleeding leg, but the larger raptor snapped at it.
"No," said Hiro. "Bifu is right. I don't deserve your forgiveness." He stood up slowly, limping from his bitten leg. "I will take my leave." Hiro felt what he thought was a tear falling down from his eye, but it was actually a drop of blood spilling from his eye. When Hiro began limping out of the cave, the larger Raptor followed close behind. It was a moment before Hiro noticed.
"M-Master?" Hiro knelt down. "These wounds will need stitches. I need--" He tore his pant-leg off, pulled off a number of threads. "I need a needle... oh!" He pulled a raptor tooth from one of his wounds and smile. "A sewing needle, perfect!"

By going their round about way the Admiral's group missed Iveth but they did eventually make it to the cave. The boy was laying on the ground talking to himself as the raptor stood over him getting ready to pick him apart. Was he hallucinating? The elder Raptor walked in with proud spikes around the eye brow area and instantly claimed the beaten and bloody boy as his own meal growling at the boy who began to apologize to the beast who was about to eat him.
Bang! Thorne stood behind a smoking rifle and the elder screamed as his left eye gushed blood the raptors confused by the noise that hurt their elder rushed at the Navy men. A short battle ensued before the raptors rushed their leader out of the cave! 'Admiral here is one of the pirates, should we shackle him?' The boy was half babbling and the other half seemed to be unconscious. Around lay a single dead raptor and three dead navy men.
"No," the Admiral said with a lot of hesitation. "Officer Yang, you speak in the tongue of the Blade Lands do you not?" The officer sheathed his two swords and nodded. "Then we will use his strength for the time being, get just the collar." The men fastened a black metal collar around the boys neck and helped him up. Some suggested he be killed, some begged for them to just slit his through right there. "I made myself clear! Your up Yang..."
The officer bent down, and in his native tongue spoke there words. "My name is Naval Officer Yang, I apologize for the words and action of the past. But if you want to live help us find your friend and we will allow you to keep your life for many years to come." Sea water was splashed on the boys face by another officer and if that didn't wake him into reality the giant roar from just outside should have. The rex was here!!!

The blood cleared from Hiro's eyes, and he grabbed Yang by the collar and pulled back his hand to smash his skull from reflex. But before his hand reduced the man's head to shards, Hiro stopped it and looked at him.
"Huh? You come from the blade lands?" He noticed the other naval officers and tried jumping to his feet for a fighting stance, but his legs wouldn't allow it. After falling back to his side, he brandished the raptor fang in his hand. Still speaking in his native tongue, he spat at them, "Don't you come near me! I will spill your guts all over the floor and feed them to the birds! You dear me!!?" He suddenly felt dizzy and fell back.

Iveth was caught between heading to the middle of the island or staying on the edge, near the shore to keep an eye out, however she doubted any ship dared to come near. Efforts of looking for rescue would most likely be futile. Center of the island it was.. Perhaps there was one large predator that took residence there, but, if thought carefully, it was the safest place.. for someone who knew what they were doing. It would never be suspected. No predators but the dominant one would reside there. By far the best option.
After having loaded all firearms she vigilantly began traveling by tree, her balance needing to be top notch to carry out the voyage. For the most part she remained haunched over, arms out to steady herself as she strode on one branch till it became thin then leaped to another. Everything was going smoothly until loud thuds were heard approaching and small quakes came with it, nearly throwing Iveth of balance, but with speeding up she managed to hug the trunk of the tree. Through the leaves that enshrouded her she could see the rex coming along, looking anticipated. Iveth made her way around the trunk to keep herself from sight, not releasing a sound or a breath. She was completely rigid until it had gone a good distance out towards the shore. Hiro must've gathered more attention than he should have.
Feeling it was safe to move on, Iveth began again.

Yang touch the boys face speaking to him sternly as a father might. 'Two guns are pointed at you, and that black collar is not what is seems.' The man moved his hand on to Hiro's and removed the boys grip from his shirt and stood up. Again speaking in the bladed tongue he spoke, 'help us find the woman you were with and I can promise you your life.'
The man waited for the boy to respond. Two crew mate loaded their rifles as two more stood guard outside. "Does the little brat understand you Yang?" The Admiral was quite irritated with this child, if he wasn't bound to justice he'd just let his men kill they kid. Yang nodded not breaking eye contact with Hiro.
Closer to the middle of the island the foot steps did stop, but it was because the giant Rex could smell Iveth. As soon as she began to move again a giant ear shattering roar echoed through the trees and tossed her backwards to the ground. Another roar erupted from it's mouth as he made eye contact with the woman. And in his eyes dominance shook hands with insanity. He was ready to claim his lunch.

As Iveth had just begun again, she heard thunderous steps of the rex come to a pause and she would have too, but she'd need her moment to get to the next branch and to the trunk. Stopping would suddenly would result in a fall which, from her height, would give way to injury and possibly death if she didn't work up a way to land properly. She didn't think she'd find herself in this scenario, but she was greatly wrong.
The force behind the roar was surprisingly tangible, tangible enough to throw her from the branch she'd been trying to get across. A hand found another to latch onto, however it was thin and broke in only two seconds of being in her grasp. Landing on her back would be foolish and fatal, so she was given no other choice to try and a workable landing on her feet. She met with the ground, a crack breaking through the air when her knee came out of place. Her jaw locked and her teeth grinded together as it stung terribly. Even so, somehow she managed to not to make a peep.
Her eyes then darted up to the rex that loomed both over her and the trees, trying to formulate some possible options. She could shoot it, but it would do nothing different than the raptors in the cave and call out to others. With a glance around there was nowhere near that would prove to be better than where she was now. She couldn't even move around at the moment, but still she searched. There was always a loophole.

She could shoot it, but it would do nothing different than the raptors in the cave and call out to others. With a glance around there was nowhere near that would prove to be better than where she was now. She couldn't even move around at the moment, but still she searched. There was always a loophole.
((OOC: Admiral Thorne's post has changed, but I kept the paragraph about Iveth and the Rex so only Hiro has to re-read.))
"She is my captain," Hiro told him in blade. "I know it's odd for a woman to be one, but she is, and I can't sell her out to you." Hiro looked away. "Not that I could if I wanted to. I don't know where she is now."
Hiro looked at the big guns pointed at him and rolled his eyes. He spoke on in his native tongue. "Why do these guys act like I'm some kind of monster? All I ever did was fight to protect my friends and fellow crew-mates. To do anything less is disgraceful!"

Yang smiled, 'they refer to you as Tiger Born, you even have a bounty of 1 million Slivers.' The first mate stood and turned to the Admiral speaking the common voice. "He doesn't even know where she is?" Thorne was rather annoyed, "take one of the guards and go back to the ship with the ship." Sam walked outside and headed towards the center of the island. Four men walked towards the Rex's nest as the six guards who left for the ship got back to it.
The men at the ship were let aware of the threat. 'The repairs are just about finished,' a crew mate said, 'if the Admiral isn't back by night fall we will have to leave without him.' The crew was saddened by this thought but it had to be done. As most the crew finished the repairs the rest of them readied the cannons for any Raptors that may attack...
As for the giant Rex, he tilted his head to the side and opened his mouth. The woman was scooped into his jaw and he raised her up to his normal height. The razor sharp teeth closed like a jail cell. The giant steps continued as he trotted back to his home to enjoy lunch in a more personal place. If she had tried to run of struggle he would have attempted to break her like he would have a Raptor. She wasn't doomed or bloody yet, but as soon as he got back he would make a feast out of her.
