Thorne left the cave running in the direction of the screams with his three other men. They loaded the guns in their hands and got ready to attack. "That's the lady, hurry men," the group rushed off into the wilderness as Yang held Hiro back. Speaking in blade he pulled the kid back, "no young tiger, let the Admiral collect his prize."
The Rex lowered his head down into its nest of bones and dropped the woman. The giant dinosaur roared shaking the bones in the nest. One of the three guns had gotten lodged in one of the monsters teeth but the roar tossed it into the piles of bones. Human and Raptor bones crumble under the steps of the monster as the Admirals men approach.
As for the ship, the Raptors had begun to attack, dozens of dead Navy crew lay dead as the final repairs are finally finished. Yang and Hiro guarded by a single gun man made their way back to the ship. "So," Yang said in blade, "what area of the Blade Lands are you from?" The man thought back to his home land, "the misty south, northern mountains, or thick forests of mid-country."

Iveth tumbled out of its mouth and into the collection of bones that jostled beneath her. The sharp wave of pain from her knee forced a hoarse yelp from her mouth, and she scrambled onto her back, feeling as though she were tangled up in the to weapons she had strapped onto her form. There was no where to go from here, and her options were cut down into using one of the guns whether it be a dangerous move to take or not.
She jerked one of the guns from underneath her though not soon before the Rex's roar had thrown it out of her hand, causing the bones to tremble and rattle in coalesce. Her eyes wide on the creature her hand reached out for her one last resort: the musket attached to her hip. Quickly she brought it before her, attempting to aim for the beast's eyes with her shaking hands. It was one of the fee times she found herself in a deadly position, but this was by far the worst. With a deep inhale she tried to steady herself, her eyes squinting before she shot.

'Why are wetalking about this!?' barked Hiro. 'My captain is about to get chewed and eaten by an overground chicken! I have to go help--' He fell over trying to run to his captain's aid. 'I need to help--' His makeshift stitching pulled at his wounds on his legs.
Tears began welling up in the boy's eyes, and he balled his fists. With a loud cry he rammed his knuckles into the ground, cracking the stone under him.
'I can't stand being weak,' he choked out. He stood up and started hobbling to a tree. Upon reaching the tree, he tore off a branch so it formed relatively sharp end on it. He used the branch as a walking stick. 'I'm sorry,' he said to Yang. 'I come from the Northern Mountains. I studied Go Kempo under Grand Master Fogi. He taught me well, or--I suppose he did..."

Yang studied the boys face and shook his head at the armed guard, "strong as the mountain, quick as the wind." He smiled, trying to cheer the boy up a bit. They approached the ship at last coming in from the west the saw the crew fighting the raptors, "it's about time I told you about the collar." A crystal dial in his hand glowed red and the collar sucked all the energy out of the boy threw his neck, "it is called an inhibitor, the latest government technology." He turn the dial off and they boy was restored.
"We need your help," Yang told him, "that's why Admiral Thorne kept you alive." Sam and Yang had talked about how the boy would fight anything and anyone no matter what, probably even a Raptor. "If you fight off the Raptor's with us, I will see to it that you not only get the medical attention you require," he paused, locking the dial on his belt. "But I'll personally remove the dial." Raptors tore navy men apart, forty men were all that was left of the one hundred that originally set out for Rro.
The gun shot echoed over the monster's a nest of bones one of it's eyes bloody and disfigured. Thorne changed position based on the shot, "that's her men, probably got a gun or two from one of our fallen!" A final roar exploded from the Rex's mouth as the disoriented giant slammed it's jaw down on the bones just a few inches from Iveth gnawing at where his destorted eye thought she had been. But as Thorne raced closer and closer the Rex continued to Nash his teeth causing one of the two hidden muskets to slide down next Iveth.

Seeing that it was about to either crush her with its jaw or snap her on its jaws again Iveth curled up, knee aching or not. Her legs pulled up to her chest in a fetal position, the teeth of the Rex where her legs just had been. It didn't stop there either. Although she made a hindrance of its sight the creature refused to give in and it performed a series of snaps until eventually caught her in one of them.
Iveth dragged herself a foot or two from the contraption, finding that two of the muskets had been carried down by the shuffled bones. Hastily she took one and tried to aim again, although it was even more of a struggle with her heart thudding in her ears; her breaths heavy; and her hands unsteady. She wasn't even in sight of the second eye. Instead, while it continued to search for her by its gnashing she took initiative and shifted her effort into getting out of the nest. With all the bones ever shifting she didn't happen to be going anywhere, or perhaps she was, but hardly moving.

Hiro's blood began to boil, and he shot a glance at Wang. 'Give me two minutes,' he growled. He used the stick as a kind of third leg to more or less gallop toward the battle.
Once there, the raptors turned their attention at the small, wounded boy, though they were weary of his stick. Maybe they thought it was another gun, but they circles around him slowly.
Hiro stood up with his legs apart and spun his stick around so easily it looked like an extension of himself. "You all leave!" he shouted in common to the raptors. "You leave, or you die!" Apparently the raptors were not terribly impressed, as one of them lunged at him. Without even turning to look, Hiro plunged the sharp end of his weapon through the raptor's neck. He pulled out the staff and spun it into a ready position under his arm.
A second raptor took a gentle snap at him but got a heavy bop on the head for its troubles.
A second one tried to jump him from the opposite side, hoping Hiro would be distracted, but no dice. Hiro tripped the raptor off of his feet and drove the stick into its side.
With two fatal injuries and severe head trauma applied to their pack-mates in what seemed like the blink of an eye, the other raptors were not extremely panicky around the boy.
"You lucky my leg hurt," he snarled. "You all be dead if they were not."

Obviously Raptor scales couldn't normally be punctured by a sword let alone a stick, unless of course Hiro had attacked two of the Raptor's young. The little baby Dino 'a were a little over half their parent's size. And as soon as the parents rushed over Yang pulled out his sword to help attack and the other navy man began firing.
The Navy hated Hiro, other then Yang, but they hated being torn apart by Raptors more and now began fighting for their lives along side the pirate boy! "Show them who is boss Tiger Blood!" Yang yelled to Hiro in bladed tongue, "show them you can use your fists for GOOD!" And the battle against the Raptors for the ship began. Though hitting them with sticks, and swords wouldn't work, maybe punches and cannonballs would.
BANG, BANG, BANG! Towards the center if the island the three men who had accompanied the Admiral in search of Iveth fired shots at the Rex with their muskets and began to reload. "Ready to answer my questions!" Sam yelled, the Rex looked up, "cause if your not, we can just keep on our merry way..." The men pointed their guns at the Rex again. BANG, BANG, BANG! The Rex roared, hardly bruised by the attack, more annoyed by the shooting sounds.
"What do you say Iveth, partners?" Thorne's marriage proposal would have to wait. He was attracted to her but work came first. He needed to find the Jolly Rro Rogers and she knew where he was headed next. In the direction of travel he was either going more north to the Sea of Mermaids, or south to the Exploding Sea, saving her would get him his answer. "Ready for some saving?" He drew his sword and pistol, getting ready to fight a giant nightmare.

The shots resembled reasurement and Iveth didn't feel the need to exert herself further, especially since her leg had taken quite enough. She could only scoff at his voice, flinging herself onto her back and panting heavily. "Wasn't I already?," she managed to mutter under her breath. In her mind, however, she challenged this. She'd like to see them go on the merry way and be merrily eaten by Raptors who would be more than just merry. Then again, she'd be going with them, but she wasn't all too convinced that they would get back safely.
Even in her weariness, her eyes darted to him in a scrutinizing glare. He was asking the wrong question. "You mean-" she huffed, quickly catching her breath, "accept acquaintanceship or die? Well I'm not going to willingly choose to die." She pushed on her elbows, hoisting herself up but knew trying to stand would be a struggle. Even if she could she'd be too tired to. Her hand lifted and she gestured him over, of course emphasizing for him to hurry up. "I don't answer rhetorical questions Admiral," she breathed.

'You need to show these guys how to thrust!' cried Hiro, demonstrating his own technique by stabbing one through the mouth as it jumped at him. 'Use their own weight to drive your weapons into them while they attack you!' It was an easy thing for him to say (especially in his native tongue), but he was talking about techniques that were a much higher level that even he himself realized.
After pulling his stick back into his own hands, he used it as a jumping pole to gain altitude over the raptors to better smack their teeth out when he came back down. The stick snapped in two, and Hiro used the remaining length to smack it across the face of another, breaking it still further.
The raptors were now more than terrified. Their numbers were dropping fast, and there seemed to be nothing that could slow this child down. Being the intelligent creatures they were, a number of them began calling to the others and stepping away from the battle.
Hiro read these signs from the raptors and let out a loud battle cry, further startling the reptiles.

The number of Raptors decreased fast, all the young Raptor's were sent away by the elder Raptor with one eye. That Raptor jumped tearing threw the crew mate who escorted Hiro and Yang. None of the adult Raptors were scared of a human child, only more and more angry that he had hurt three young-ins. Two Raptors flanked Hiro, one biting into his ankle and the other lunged for his throat. Yang quickly shoved his dual swords down the second Raptors throat.
"Their weaknesses are in the eyes and the inside of their mouths!" He yelled to his men in common language. Twisting his blade the first adult Raptor of the battle was killed! 'Man the cannons!' Another crew mate yelled and cannon fire tore threw the air, rippling the sound across the island! The Raptor gnawed at Hiro's ankle before pulling him off balance. Yang slid a sword to the boy, "don't betray me," his voice barked in blade.
As Hiro and Yang lead the final fight against the Raptors the giant Rex was lifting his head, throwing his face down at where Iveth was smashing all bones beneath him! "That was close," Thorne smiled, the woman in his hands. He had run and slid pulling her from harms way. The musket that had slid next to Iveth was now lodged once again in the monsters teeth! He took another musket and fired at that one, "hope this..."Boom!
He had shit the other musket and the gun powder inside the gun had created an explosion in the beasts mouth causing two teeth to break apart and fall out! The beast turned away swinging it's tail into one of the other men crushing him to death instantly against a large rock. "RUUUN!" He picked up Iveth again and began to sprint towards the sound of cannon fire, two men at his heels!!! "If we don't make it out of this pirate girl..." Still running with her in his arms, he laid a kiss on her lips before continuing to sprint.

"Can it not be so close next time?" she grunted, trying to readjust herself and make comfort with her leg. Evidently agitated she wished they would all get a move on, hop on the ship, and resume with the questions already. The Rex was half blind, what more could it do than thrash around? By now the thing was hopeless dare she say that she was too. Maybe she wouldn't have been so crabby if her leg hadn't become so useless!! She couldn't have blamed the Admiral because it was illogical. The real blame would be to the executioner who didn't kill Rro sooner, and now she won't be as avid again due to the injury.
Seems like she'd been away for a while when the musket bursted in the Rex's mouth, sending both shards of its teeth and bones flying. Her immediate reaction was to cover her head. She wasn't looking to get it hit for a second time. A chorus of crushing bones was heard under the creatures feet right before she was again scooped up. She would've appreciated if he had been more careful, but instead he contributed more to her pain. Not as though there was a choice. They were in a hurry after all and the dinosaur behind them looked as though it was relying on sound while the Admiral and the other two were making a ruckus running back to the ship.
Iveth was in the middle of critiquing when Thorne thought it was so important to talk during an escape. It was a real waste of breath as she saw it, and if he hadn't been talking they'd probably be going faster. Sounded like she was about to be blamed for the death for each of his men. Could this not wait until they were on the ship? Iveth was no romantic, however it became very apparent that the Admiral was. At the touch she jerked her head away, already fuming, and her hands covered her lips. "I may be a pirate, but I AM NO WHORE!"

Hiro was beyond feeling pain anymore. When one bit into him, Hiro broke its teeth out. He was a killing machine... but like always, his energy levels were dropping rapidly.
He fell to his knees, but his fighting spirit didn't drop for an instant. However, his battle effectiveness dropped quite a bit. "Weapon!!" he shouted.

The Admiral ran faster and faster, bobbing through the trees as the Rex stomped along behind them once again. The monster bent down biting one of the men in half, tossing the top half into the air and catching it in its mouth. The second crew mate tripped on his friends lower half. 'Thorrrr,' the man was squashed under the Dino's foot steps. Thorne could hear his men in the distance. "Only a little further," he said ignoring her comment.
Yang had thrown a sword to Hiro but it was about the end of the line. Raptors surrounded the men that were left, Yang grabbed Hiro by the collar and pulled him away from another snapping reptile. Thirty men stood on board and on the beach as the hissing foes closed it. "So this is how it ends Tiger Born?" Yang sighed in Bladed tongue. Sword in one hand the boys collar in the other he released Hiro from his grasp, collar still on. "In another life I feel like we could have been friends."
A tremendous roar echoed through the trees. As the Admiral rushed out onto the beach again. Raptors watched in horror as the Rex stomped out of the brush. The savage reptiles tried to scatter but not before the Rex bit into a few! "Board and cast off!!!" Thorne yelled to his men, it was most definitely time to leave. A crew mate shouted at him for a heading as he reached the deck, "where is Rro heading?" He had sat Iveth down on a barrel, "exploding sea? Or the sea of mermaids??"
The Raptor population around the ship faded as the giant Rex vanished into the trees chasing them around for it 'a dinner. The ship pulled off in a matter of minutes, but what sea would they be heading for, 'sorry I have to do this...' Yang said chaining Hiro to the mast once more. 'But you are still a pirate, and I am still a naval officer...'

As the creature had swooped its head down to take out the first guard Iveth dislodged a musket from the Admiral's hip, holding it out towards the Rex in case she needed to take out its other eye. By now there was hardly any of the Navy Crew left, all having been eaten for the most part. It would require more labor on the ship with only a few of them left. Not that she was concerned for their well being, but they had safety in numbers. Those numbers are dwindling now. Musing over it, there was a possibility that she could've taken out the Rex earlier.
Either way, they made it back to the ship only to find that there was hardly anyone there compared to what they had before. Hiro, surprisingly, survived. She tried to disregard the raptors and Rex not too far away, but they were occupied with each other. After being set on the barrel she returned the musket, thinking once or twice before she recalled. "The Exploding Sea," she shifted her weight then leaned forward and took her calve. As painful as it was going to be she'd have to pull her knee back it place. With a first glance it was clear that her bone was misplaced, and it wouldn't be a good idea to keep it as is.

"Captain!" cried Hiro. He was unable to stand, but that was of no concern to him as he flopped himself on his face and began groveling. "Where you go?! I am very happy you alive!"
Pain finally caught up to the boy, and he rolled over and cried out in agony. He belted out a series of curses to the point of being unintelligent even in his native tongue.

The crew settled back into place nicely, Iveth was kept in the Admiral's quarters away from Hiro as they sailed on. The boy was fed dispute his being chained up to the mast. Yang didn't come see him again, but the mysterious collar was kept on him. Iveth was treated well and fed as much as she wanted because of the Admiral's small crush. After a few days of sailing the ship approached the end of the Falling Sea, 'Sir!' Yang called, 'the last Aqua Void is in sight!' Thorne nodded and returned to his room where he met with Iveth.
"Soon we will be at Port Fireball, we will do some asking around if anyone has seen Rro, the pig, or your other crew members." He sat down to eat with her, "if they have we'll give chase, if they haven't well occupy the port until they show up there." Fireball Island was very big and was known as the capital of this part of the world. The land between the Falling Sea and the Exploding sea. "When we catch Rro I will personally give you his head... Think of it as a wedding gift?" He smiled at her as if asking her then and there to be his future bride.
'Captain!' First Mate Yang barged in, 'Jolly Rro, the ship the lady described is approaching the Aqua Void too...' It could be him, could be Rogers! Sam could finally catch the pirate after about a month searching! "Or maybe I'll kill him now and our wedding could be arranged for tomorrow?" He laughed half joking. He rushed out of the room before allowing her to speak, "BATTLE STATIONS!!! ROGERS IS AHEAD!!!!!"

The last week of sailing since seeing Athens had been uneventful, any zombie attack was a breeze thanks to the Dragon Cannon. Only six of Iveth's original three dozen or so crew were left but Griffon had done a good job of raising their spirits once again. Pirate songs echoed through the ship most nights and Skyra was still just as stick in the miss as he'd ever been. Distancing himself from everyone like always.
"We're almost out of this undead nightmare," he said the must clearing, it took a little bit longer then expected but they finally left the Dagger Gates! Men cheered and a little party was thrown, even Skyra seemed to maybe be enjoying himself. "Once we get to Fireball you can leave if you want Skyra, pirates life isn't for everyone..." Rro was just trying to make a friend out of his last enemy on board, but he got no real response.
The day after the party some men were still suffering bad hang overs but they were exited to be reaching the last Aqua Void of the Falling Sea! 'Captain Rogers!' A man shouted from the eagles nest, 'Navy ship approaching from the south!' It had to be the Admiral, what the hell was he doing here? Still hunting the bounty on the Treasure Man's head. 'Captain... That ninja boy is chained to the mast!!!' Rro stopped, "PREPARE THE DRAGON CANNON, THIS WILL BE A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!"

A man shouted from the eagles nest, 'Navy ship approaching from the south!' It had to be the Admiral, what the hell was he doing here? Still hunting the bounty on the Treasure Man's head. 'Captain... That ninja boy is chained to the mast!!!' Rro stopped, "PREPARE THE DRAGON CANNON, THIS WILL BE A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!"

Iveth had no other choice but to be stationary for a while, her leg needing to heal properly and it wouldn't be all too wise for her to walk around. The better the recovery, the better she'd be able to move as she did before. Her life wasn't near over and this injury isn't going to change that. The only downside to this was that she had to stay in the Admiral's quarters. All this food and sitting around. Were they trying to fatten her up? She hardly trusted the man, and was irritated by him, however this wore off after a while. Alright, he was trustworthy, but stupid. At least that was her whole opinion to this small, large, mild- whatever- attraction he had to her. Eventually she came to realize that no matter how many times she scoffed at him, cursed him, and ignored him, it still wouldn't change his mindset. From time to time she'd acknowledge his small comments and other times she didn't.
Iveth wasn't at the table when he returned to the room, but instead was laid across the couch, her arms folded behind her head as she stared intently at the ceiling. Her mind at the moment happened to be on her ship, Rro, Skyra, the silver tongued man, and her crew, so Sam's news was appreciated. "I think that's the best thing you've said since I've been here," she managed to grin, "but even if you do give me his head there still won't be a wedding." Her voice grew darker towards the end though she didn't look to absolutely loathe the topic. She's already heard it so much, it was becoming hackneyed.
As the First Mate nearly knocked the door off its shingles Iveth immediately sat up. She'd foretold what he was going to say mainly because his expression shared it all. The words tumbled out the man's mouth and Iveth stood from her seat, excited for this sweet revenge. Thorne had surprisingly beat her to the door and she narrowed her eyes towards him despite that he was joking. Oh, if he like her so much whatever happened to free will?? How about kill him now and guarantee her freedom? Having not the time to respond anyway, she just followed to the battle stations, but not without picking out her weapons of choice from the artillery.

Hiro didn't struggle. The boy was in too much pain, his body too weak, and even his powerful will felt drained. Tied to the mast, he couldn't even focus on training. Even if he could, his body had been too badly injured. Now, even with the razors of cannons around him, he could do nothing. His powerful body and unmatched skills had failed him. What did this mean for the school of Go Kempo? Was it a weak school after all? Or was he the weak one?
How was it that Iveth, someone so much weaker than himself, seemed to get by better than he did with all of his might and prowess? He could do nothing else but think. Think. Think...

"I aint leaving yet," Skyra said. "I have unfinished business to settle, most notably with you humans." Skyra was still pissed after his battle with Griffon. "First off, I want some info. ...Particularly from you Rro. What did you do to Iveth? What do you know about Thoren? What is that stupid magic of yours? And anything else that may come to mind."
Skyra got closer to Rro. He was a bit pouty right now, so it was hard to read him entirely. But at the same time, he started to calm a bit. "You know, now that I think of it, I used to know a Scrauser named Thoren. I don't know why that matters, though. I only knew him for a day when he visited my colony. But I think he was just there for food. The Scrauser seemed to be really famished within an inch of his life, and once he got food he went off on his way. ...But I guess that's neither here nor there."
...He started to get angry again. "Now what do you know about Iveth? I know it was you who threw her off, but until I can prove it... huh?" That's when they other ship came. ...He then saw Hiro up on the mast. "And now the noise begins. Guess we'll have to talk later. What do I have to do?"
