As arrows showered down from above Iveth slid into cover behind two barrels. Two gunpowder filled barrels.. This wasn't the ideal place to take cover, nor would it be safe for long. Her eyes slid over to Rro briefly before she took the fallen archer's crossbow, aiming it quickly towards the ones left above who were nothing than a nuisance. They might have been worth their efforts had they killed anyone at all, but from the looks if it they hadn't. She'd show them how to use a crossbow.
With her breath held back in her throat for steady aim as clicked her tongue, counting how many inches off she should be from the target to make they impact kill. The wind swirling in the vertex could always shift, her perfect shots weren't guaranteed. Well, they first three were. Perhaps not hitting them right where she anticipated, but it was acceptable. One impaled throat, another impaled chest, and the last hit home: the head. Of course there were more archers to spare, however there were only two that she could see. They'd no longer be something of major concern, and during the while Iveth took a moment to get input on what everyone was doing. Thorne and Skyra in a quarrel, Griffon steadying the ship, Hiro doing what he did best, and Rro or his voice more-so ever commanding.
She herself was aware that Felicia would plummet within no time and she'd need to gather a few things before she did, but because Rro called out this thought she wasn't too solid on the idea. How could she be so sure that he wouldn't do what he did last time? Even now she was wasting her time just thinking about it. Nevertheless, there were things she needed back in her quarters. Huffing through her nose she hurried down to the lower deck.

"Gah!" After taking the bullet to the shoulder, Hiro let out a cry, dug his fingers into the bullet hole, and pulled it out himself.
Hiro was no longer happy.
He darted across the deck and up to Wang. There was a split second where the boy had to calculate what he would do next. He had a duty to his captain, but this man had helped him, had spoken to him in his own tongue after forcing himself to speak Common for so long.
The moment passed, and Hiro slammed both of his fists into Wang's pistol, crushing it. From there, he delivered a thrust punch into Wang's gut to incapacitate him. The only problem was that he used the arm with the shoulder wound to do so.
Hiro's extra adrenalin burst was coming to an end, and all at once pain coursed through his body. He fell to his side and curled into a ball. His muscles ached, and his body could push no more. The Tiger Born was spent.

Skyra tried to dodge the Hangman's edge again, but it cut him right in the ear. "God damn you, I refuse to lose to another human," Skyra cried while his hear started bleeding like mad. The whip-sword came back to him and Skyra decided to try something. He thrust one spear at the receding blade and the other at the longer part, and then he twisted his spears around. This mangled the Hangman's Edge and made it possible for Skyra to grapple Thorne. ...Except Thorne was much stronger than him. Skyra decided to use his whole weight.
"Iveth! If you can here me, then take back your duties as captain. And whatever you do, don't worry about me after this is over! I may live, I may not, but do not worry about me!" Skyra then jumped over the side of the ship, with the Hangman's Edge still mangled in his spears. He tried to jump down to Iveth's ship, which was now breaking apart. If he was going to go down, he wanted to go down as the victor.

Get to the ship? Easy en-mph! A stray round went trough Griffon's shoulder. Through and through. He was fighting against the wheel and the enemy that his wounds were also starting to reopen. Griffon's hands came off the wheel as he fell back. The wheel spun quickly. Crap, crap, crap. Not good. The storyteller groaned and pushed a fallen body backward with his legs. The wheel hit, there was a thump and a crack, and Griffon winced, but the wheel now held still. At least he didn't feel it.
Now Griffon had a new challenge. He had to get to the Navy ship. Blood was staining the fabric around his wounds as he struggled to his feet. He staggered a few feet towards a rope. Then another feet and he grabbed one. This is going to suck. Here goes nothing. He held the rope tight, and fell over the side. The rope went taut and he swung over to the other boat, then let go, landing on his wounded shoulder with a loud thud. "Dammit!" He shouted, rolling of his shoulder and grabbing it with his other arm. He was definitely out of the fight. Griffon bled from both his new and his old wounds as he lay helpless on the deck.

Yang coughed as he stood up, he looked over at Sam struggling with the pig pirate, and he turned to the tiger blood boy who now lay unconscious on the deck. Raising his sword above the boys neck he whispered one last thing in Bladed tongue, "strong as a tiger, dumb as a..." Bang! A pistol peaked over the edge of the deck, it had hit him in the center of his head. He fell backwards flipping over the railing and down into the watery grave bellow.
Sam as the last of the Navy that was still alive was thrust over the edge of his ship, "ROGERS YOU BASTARD!" He yelled as he fell to the pirate ship bellow. He noticed a black little dagger sliding around the deck and picked it up carefully and throwing it towards Skyra! He missed, as the black blade flew over board and was lost forever, but it was just the distraction he needed to pull his prized blade out of the pig man's spears.
"Not as dumb as the fighter, but not as cunning as Rogers either?" The Admiral laughed, "do you really think you can beat me?" His blade clicked into place again, ready to fire! Behind Skyra was the Dragon Cannon, if hit by the Hangman's Edge a few good time would most likely cause an explosion... Could Skyra use this as an explosion to his advantage. "Evade this SWINE!!!" The blade shot toward once again, straight towards Skyra!

Rogers pulled himself over the edge of the boat as he holstered his pistol, saving Hiro was just a pattern of events to day. "What the hell did I say!" Rogers stepped over the boy and took the wheel, "stop being an idiot!" RogerS turned the ship to grab the next updraft. "We still have more training to do, stop almost killing yourself every five minutes..." The pirate looked over the Navy deck. The ship was damaged bad but should still be able to get them out of here.
Cannons, splintered in the wood of the deck, Rogers laughed. What a great idea that had been, he was as amused with himself as he was proud. "You better, not tell Griffon about this," he said, this time in the Bladed tongue. "I don't want people to think I'm some kind of hero, I'm a bloody pirate!" His laugh was almost evil. It didn't matter that he was talking to a knocked out kid or not, he figured in some way Hiro could hear him.
"Speaking of the Bard," he looked over the deck and saw the perdicament Griffon was in. He figured Iveth was still down there and would most likely get the story teller up here. But if luck was acting unhelpful, as usual, Rogers would have to go down and save Iveth and Griffon. "Too much work," Rogers sighed. And he really liked the story teller too... Turning the wheel he prepared to catch the updraft, any moment the Navy ship would slip away with only Rro and Hiro on it leaving the others to die if they didn't get up here soon.
"All aboard!" Rogers yelled at the top of his lungs. Wind began to pick up, the ship began to tilt upward slightly, where was Iveth? Could she save herself and Griffon?? And would Skyra beat Thorne, or die trying to find a sliver of honor in this blood soaked world??? Rogers was truly exited to see it all play out from his safe little spot aboard the Admiral's old ship. On top of that, he was feeling quite proud his plan had actually been pulled off!
Rro watched Griffon swing over in a bloody heep, "There you are Story Teller," he smiled.

Underneath Iveth tugged on a long dark robe, fastening the belts prior to finding her handcrafted crossbow that was already loaded and set to go. Even so, she removed them all and pushed them back into a small quiver that was attached to her at the hip. Her hand shifted around a second or two before finding the one arrow she needed and sliding into her crossbow, attaching it to a clutch and briefly shaking it to determine if there was anymore gas left inside. Indeed there was, but not that much. After giving it a thorough examination she slipped it onto her wrist, securing it then took her infamous pistol. Giving her ship one last look-over she sighed deeply. One day she'd rebuild it, and it'd have to be much more durable.
With only moments to spare Iveth was back out on her deck in which she immediately noticed the absence of everyone but Thorne. She was relieved to find the the Admiral's ship was still above. Given that she had time to keep Skyra from plummeting down to her ship though this wasn't the only dilemma. A blade was cutting through the air, sailing towards the Scrauser. Since her crossbow wasn't an option she thrust up her pistol, sucking in a breath before she made the shot that would determine whether Skyra would be present during the rest of the journey.
The bullet whizzed past the Scrauser's face, tipping the blade successfully. Even if it did hit him, it was only the hilt. An arrow followed, impaling his clothes and attached him to the Admiral's ship until Iveth could get up there. She had every chance to kill Thorne, however, she didn't feel obligated to nor did she want to. What sense would it make to pay back generosity with a bullet? Even it was only to out a ring on her finger?
"Perhaps you would've gotten somewhere with me if I weren't a Pirate Lord," the gears in the crossbow clicked. "Don't be so disheartened, this only death. Life may lie on the other side," the tip of her lips rose into a grin before crossbow reeled her in up to the Admiral's ship right next to Skyra. "Hurry, get back on the ship," she urged him though not yet wanting to pull out the arrow until he grabbed onto something.

Skyra tumbled right towards the dragon cannon, trying to evade the blade. ...But the blade just scraped the back of Skyra's robe, leaving a slash in his back. This guy was as tough as he looked, but Skyra was determined.
"You humans are all the same!" Skyra yelled. "Arrogant and dumb! I could run circles around that traitorous bastard Rro if I wanted to." Skyra readied his spears, waiting for Thorne to make the next move. "And I know one thing you don't. ...I'm going to kill you."

"Pirate Lord?" Sam ignored Skyra's speech of righteousness, "she couldn't be..." Wanted posters flashed through the Admiral's mind of the four Pirate Lords of the sea. Jolly Rro Rogers, Athens the Dragon Breather, Edward 'Black Beard' Thatch, and... "Is Iveth actually Clove?" Thorne was now yelling at the Scraucer! "How could I trouble myself with a freak like you when two Pirate Lord's, were both ripe for the picking!"
Rage filled his heart, it didn't matter to him that Skyra had been given the chance to escape by Iveth... By Clove, but had turned it down to finish the fight he started. Normally, honor like that would have made him respect Skyra but he was too angry now. Yang was gone, his crew was dead, and Rogers was about to escape on his ship. "If you could run circles around Rro then why is he about to leave you down here?"
The Hangman's Edge clicked back into place and he fired it upward pulling sharply down creating a wave of metal and death about to slice Skyra in half!!! If he was gonna die it would be as a Champion over the vermin that stood before him.

Rogers caught the updraft at the last moment pulling the ship upward, "I guess that's good bye to Skyra and Ive...." The smile on Rro's face dissolved as Iveth climbed on deck. "Welcome back!" He wasn't exactly happy to see her, but what could he do. "Hey before you kick my ass for marooning you with Hiro on a life boat, could you take the wheel so that I can go use the blood arts on Griffon to keep him from dying...?"
He paused realizing that sounded like a lie, "who else is gonna tell my epic stories of awesome?" He tried to show the pissed off woman a compassionate smile but didn't know if he was getting the job done. The ship sailed up and caught the waters edge, at least they were out of the Aqua Void... "Wait where is Skyra?" He knew the truth of course but didn't want to seem as cruel as his thoughts were right now. The navy ship, despite saving their asses just now, was in no condition to dive back down there and get the Scraucer.
(Let's let Skyra and Thorne finish their battle to the death...)

"For two reasons. One, to defend my honor against stupid worthless humans like you. And two..." Skyra thrust his Tagora's Net upward into the Hangman's Edge and swung it in the Dragon Cannon's direction before leaping out of the way. He was hoping the Edge would latch onto the cannon, cause the Hangman's Edge to grapple Thorne into the cannon and blow him up.
"And two! I don't make mindless moves like the one YOU just made!" Skyra yelled proudly, trying to run as far away from the cannon as possible.
"And two! I don't make mindless moves like the one YOU just made!" Skyra yelled proudly, trying to run as far away from the cannon as possible.
The Hangman's edge, redirected, wrapping around the Dragon Cannon violently smashing important components and ultimately exploded. The sword didn't have a grapple like effect unless a certain switch was turned on the hilt of the blade but even still the explosion set the ship a blade destroying the sword and a perimeter around where the cannon once was. "You foooooooool," The force threw Skya and Admiral Thorne in two different directions. The explosion spit the wires of Thorne's sword in such ways that little bits of blade flew in all directions cutting both combatants badly, leaving the two extremely bloody.
KA BOOM!!!
"I will not bend my knee and fall to you!" he picked up a few pistols from fallen crew mates and fired blindely through the smokey ship in hopes to hit the scraucer. Bang! He dropped a pistol and found another, Bang! Bang! Tripping he found a swordsman and took his normal blade. "This is where you fall freak!" He rushed into the blinding smoke with his new found long sword, the battle field was now all splintered and could not be seen threw. The ships decent was getting faster and faster. The farther down they went the colder and darker it got despite the heat from the flames. Death waited off to the side, both lives were his... But who would fall first?

Skyra was sent to a small piece of drift wood that splintered from the ship. Skyra had to hang on for dear life as he had little steady ground. Eventually, he heard gunshots everywhere. None of them even came close to Skyra, but it did make a lot of noise. This made Thorne easier to detect. Although Scrauser sight were generally worse than human sight, their hearing was better, so Skyra could tell where he was.
"Hey! Over here monkey mush!" Skyra decided to let Thorne come to him and let him run into his weapon. He swam to a position he could strike Thorne from and waited for him to get close enough before thrusting his spear upward. He hoped to impale Thorne on the Tagora's nets without taking too much damage, but he already took quite a lot.

Thorne stopped, one of the piggies spears was now pushed deep into the Admiral's stomach, "but your so small... your just a pig..." Blood dripped upward, fire had lit the sail causing large hole in it. The Admiral smiled, he seemed to be at some sort of piece now. "You beat me Pig," he dropped his sword and looked up at the Pirate ship vanish over the edge of the Aqua Void. "Any last thoughts before we both die in the crushing waters and sharp rocks bellow Scraucer?" The two lifted into the air slowly like they were ascending from this world. Reality was that the ship was falling faster then they were and gravity took them from it but as blood dripped upward Thorne had no last words. And his only request was to heard the final thoughts of his conqueror...
As much as Skyra hated to admit it, he won, but it might very well be his final battle. He just realized it would be almost impossible for him to escape at this point.
"I guess I do," Skyra said. "When I said humans were all the same, I suppose I didn't mean that literally. There has always been one person I've always admired. Her name is Iveth. She is one of the bravest humans I know, and I do regret not getting to know her more." Skyra started to feel a bit wobbly. Even if someone were to rescue him here, he was bleeding like mad in his back and ear, enough that he would die before they could be patched up. Even the bandages around his head wouldn't be able to hold the blood in.
"I must admit... it's not easy to admit... you're about to die," Skyra said. "I... just wish... Iveth knew... what I... thought of her..." Skyra fell over in the water. He had suffered enough blood-loss that he felt too weak to move very easily. It wouldn't be long till he was history.

Soaked wood smashed against the rocks bellow, the rest of the ship burst into splinters and was no more. "For Iveth then..." And the two combatants smashed down into the rocks and swirling waters staining the area around them red. The two were dead, both admiring the same girl for different reasons but neither got to tell of her. Skyra wanted to tell her how he felt, and Thorne wanted to tell others that Iveth wasn't even her real name. The Pirate Lord of the North, Clove, the ghost of the sea fell out of the navies grasp once again. It was over... Admiral Samuel J. Thorne was dead, as was Skyra....
(OOC: Iveth, your turn to post.)
(OOC: Iveth, your turn to post.)
Iveth knew a silver tongue when she heard it, but at the moment Rro was far under the line of convincing. Already excuses tumbled from his lips as if they could save him from whatever disgust and rage she was radiating. No matter how cunning of a man be was she would always think of him as nothing more than a bag of flesh. No heart, no soul, just a parasite running around with a big title. Nonetheless, she greeted him with a strike across his face. A hard one at that. If it had made her knuckles bleed than she knew it was good enough, for now. He'd be needed for this journey as a map and a map only. "You really are the scum of the earth, Rro. I'll forgive you when you're dead, and I'll be damned if you're still alive once this is over!" She hissed icily between her teeth with as much rancor as she could pour into it.
Above the loud sloshing of the water below she heard, faintly, the crashing of her ship and Thorne went with it. After Skyra had deliberately slipped from her arm she knew he wasn't coming back either. For reasons she did not know they both seemed to be her supporters. As merciless as it may sound they both died in vain, however if Iveth made the remainder of this trip worth while that could change. In the far corners of her mind she could admit that they'd be missed, but reality was reality and the two were dead. Her appreciation would forever be like her identity: a secret.
Her thumb swept over her knuckles, wiping off the blood only for it to bleed again, "You know where he is. Don't act like you care. Just do what you said you would and treat Griffon." That said, she strode to the upper deck and drove the ship away from the void that was now another landmark in her mind.

"So your taking over as captain again?" Rro rubbed his cheek, he was filled with a rush to punch back. Fight to be captain, use guns and blood arts to finish her off for good. But he was much to weak now, and even if he could, he wouldn't want to. She was a good pirate, he'd need her against Thatch if they did run into Black Beard sailing through his territory. She was also the one who broke him out of those chains and he owed her for that. But he didn't believe she was a good captain, she had sailed into the Falling Sea for the Dagger Gates with as few men as she had. It was suicide and he was surprised as many survived as they did. And then against the Navy, these men were hardly sea worthy, but some how she had been ready for it all. Could she be more then she was letting him know?
"I'll tend to Griffon then Hiro..." He paused listening to the exploding and ship wreck sounds bellow. A white bird flew over head and soared out of sight, Rogers disregarded it for now. He used the railing to pull himself up and walk over to the Story Teller, "You're banged up bad aren't ya Pardoner." Rro used the Blood Arts of the Blade Land Ninja to clot blood inside to stop the bleeding and mold the muscle and organ tissue in a way where they could grow back normally. He moved Griffon down to the Medical Ward of the ship where dead crew men lay. he pushed a soldier off a cot and set Griffon there to rest, eventually laying Hiro in the adjacent cot. The Navy men, including doctors had been so busy fighting off Raptors and pirates that they neglected to give enough care to the wounded. It was sad but true.
"Hiro, buddy sorry I had to do that with the adrenaline," Rogers chuckled awkwardly, "It was either let them kill ya or pump you full of angry juice... but i may or may not have cut your life span in half." He laughed but the laugh died down to an uncertain scoff, not knowing what kind of effects that may cause on the boy later on. "As soon as we reach Fireball Island I will train you... you are ready." Two or three days passed and he and Iveth still hadn't talked. Griffon and Hiro had been recovering and Hiro seemed to be improving nicely. But Griffon would definitely need more medical care one they reached the Island.
Fireball Island finally came into view, There was a lot of gambling on this island but that wasnt what it was known for. It was known for being the worlds largest ship write in the entire Open Blue, possibly the world! It sat on the border between the Falling Sea and the Exploding Sea and Rogers knew quite a few people here. He approached the reinstated captain and spoke to her for the first time in almost a week, "When we get there I'm going to begin Hiro's training, Griffon needs a hospital so you should find him the best Doctor on the island." Rogers looked out over the sea, "Before I train Hiro I'll have my old friend Icias meet up with you, give him this ship and in return he owes me a favor."
Wind swept threw the pirates hair, "He owes me the single greatest ship in the world, he promised me he'd make me one if I ever needed it... And I believe he will, he is an amazing carpenter." The project would most likely take months. But as The ship pulled up to the port Rogers knew they wouldn't be sitting on their hands for a month. They would be getting stronger and growing tougher every day, "up in at um Hiro, It is time for your training!"
To Iveth's fortune she and Rro didn't have to communicate hardly at all during the remainder of the journey. She kept a watchful eye over the ship, seeing Hiro progress in his health while from time to time she'd have to make brief trips to Griffon and make sure he wasn't already dead. She saw no real use in the story-teller and assumed that he would over-exaggerate whatever stories he got out of this adventure. Then again, it wouldn't be appropriate to say that things hadn't been extreme. Dinosaurs weren't something people encountered everyday nor did they take dives into aqua voids so deep and live. There was death abroad as well, which she was sure he would make as sullen as a funeral, but, truth be it, it wasn't even mourned over. No tears shed, no grief, only the motivation to move on, although for Rro it was two less inconveniences to worry about. Of course Iveth knew that she was very well the third which she was proud of. If she turned his thoughts sour, good.
It wasn't long until they laid eyes on the shore of Fireball Island, and Iveth redirected the ship slightly as she searched the harbor for a convenient spot. In the corner of her eye she anticipated Rro's approach though she didn't spare him a glance. Even after weeks she was agitated by him and would continue to be from hell and back, but at the moment all the anger stored for him was low-key. He was again laying out instructions, giving her a short list of things to do as if she were a child on a chore. Nonetheless, it was sensible and would be done whether she agreed to do it or not, and it'd be a waste of time if she didn't go ahead and get these things out of the way. In her silence she conceded, her elbows perched on the helm thought still directing.
The admiral's ship had definitely not made it's place amongst other harbored ships, having great damage, looking like it could fall apart on a whim. Iveth then made her way down to the lower deck and almost begrudgingly approached Griffon. "Well, we see where telling stories has gotten you," she muttered lowly under her breath before she took one of his arms and pulled it over her shoulder in order to hoist him up. It was still unclear to her whether he could walk on his own or not.

After everything that had happened, Hiro wasn't sure whether to trust a man who wielded the kind of power he did. But for everything that had happened, Hiro wanted something in return. He wanted that power for himself, and after the hell he had been through, that was the least that Ro owed him.
His body still ached from wounds and exertion, from bruises and scrapes, but all the same, he confronted Ro, saying nothing. His eyes were hard and narrow, unwavering, unflinching, expectant of Ro to act.
