feeling her starting to lag behind he slowed down remembering he was not alone, he used his other hand and took the umbrella from her and he held it so they would both stay dry, he looked around and sighs, now in the light of the city it was apparent he was limping for some reason, but he did not look like he was in pain. as if he was... use to the pain. he looks around and then looks back at her "how are you holding up?" he asks as they walk across the cross walk
Once he slowed down a bit she managed to catch up and walk at his side. Her eyes looked up at her umbrella that No Name was holding once again to keep them from getting drenched. She looked at him, well, less drenched. She looked away, lookinzg down at the little puddles everywhere. She looked back at No Name again, seeing he had a limp to his walk, though she didn't see snythin wrong with him. She decided not to think much about it and looked around at the town around them. She never got to come her alone..well, without somebody from the orphanage. "Good" she said as she looked around still.
he looks at her confusingly as they walked down the street and back onto the side walk "good? what do you mean?" he asks keeping an eye out infront of them and looked at the signs as they walked making sure they did not get lost. he made sure he stayed right next to her so she did not get lost and so she did not get wet, He was unsure why she wanted to come with him... oh well it would not really matter in the long run really
She looked up at him and just nodded once. Amery was known for confusing people from time to time, and usually she would never explain. In a way it was annoying, but in a way it was understandable. She looked away from him after a momemt, and her attention went wandering once more and she continued to look around. She didn't seem like the most social child seeing now she wasent speaking, and what she did speak were rather short sentences, and this in a way was an advantage, yet a disadvantage as well. It was good that she wouldn't be annoying, yet at the same time if you needed to know something, you would never know if she would answer or not.
as they continued to walk he took her hand again tightly as they cut through another dark ally way "This should cut down the walk time by... thirty minutes hopefully" he says and walks down the path looking brave, but it was easy to tell he was just trying to be brave so he did not freak her out by panicking. he looked around and rubbed her hand trying to comfort her... though really he was doing it more for his comfort than he was willing to admit. He rubbed his forehead and checked the corner before walking down another section of the ally way
She didn't seem to be to scared of the situation, that is as long as they were in the dim light of the streetlights where she could see a little bit, but when they left the light to enter the dark alley her fear grew, but she managed to keep her cool, and not panic. She looked up at No Name when she felt his grip tighten on her small hand. "is he scared to?" she wondered to herself in her thoughts. She couldnt quite tell. She looked away, and looked down at the ground, trying to imagine that they were somewhere else besides a cold, dark, alley.
he walks over and through a hole in the fence and sneaks through a backyard with her and opens the fence gate and they get back to the main street and he sighs and continues to walk, loving the sight of the street lights as they walked. he loses his grip on her hand, but did not let go and kept walking. They soon got another street and he looked at the sign "... how long have we been walking? Thats the street I live on!" he says in surprise, he looks at his wrist clock, six thirty seven. "wow... time sure flew..." he says and keeps walking
She followed him through the hole in the fence, and through the backyard, and through the fence gate, always trying to stay at his side. She kept her gaze down most of the time, but looked up completely when she saw the sweet light of streetlights. It was a heavenly sight to see. She followed behind him for awhile longer until he spoke up, and she looked up at him, then her eyes went to the sign he as looking at. It had took a long long time, but they were on the street where this boy lived. His eyes looked up at the sky, only now had the rain began to lighten. She continued to follow behind him, it was obvious she was tired of walking, and nobody could blame her.
he looks at her and smiles "a few more minutes...ok?" he says and rubs her head as they continue to walk, after a few more minutes they come to a two story house and he walks upto the door, he puts his eye upto a little hole and the door opens and he takes her hand walking in, for the most part the house looked like an average house, with papers scattered here and there. he yawned and shook off the rain and smiled at her "Welcome to my home!" he says taking off his trench coat, showing a plain black T-shirt with a bar code on the back
She nodded, "okay" she said. Only a few minutes of walking left. To her a 'few minutes' felt so much like eternity, but when she saw the house she was relived. No more walking! She followed him to the door, and watched in curiosity as the door opened by him putting his eye up to a hole. The little girl followed him inside and looked around curiously from where she stood. She looked up at him a second, before she walked off to look around, but didn't stray far.
he smiles at her being curious "I can take you to the guest bedroom if you would li-" he was cut off by his wrist watch beeping, he looks at it and sighs in annoyance "ummm hang on..." he says and he opens one of the doors but does not close, it sounded like he was talking to something or someone in the room, but there was no one else in the house at this moment in time!
She looked at him, hearing the beeping once more. She watched as he walked into a different room, and after a moment of hearing him talking to somebody, she walked over to the door, and watched secretly, eavesdropping and watching,
the was a computer monitor suspended from the ceiling moving around speaking to him, with a voice that did not seem to belong to a gender, almost in the middle of a girl and a boy. He was in his boxer shorts and a T-shirt, more needle scars were visible and he was strapped down to a table on a ninety degree angle. he seemed to be sighing "When will these things be over? They hurt..." he says sighing, The canister he had earlier was now hooked upto a machine "Another month of this and you are done..." the machine neutrally said and three needles stabbed into both of his arms and he winces in pain and they start to pump some sort of fluid into him
Her dark green eyes examined everything, the first thing she noticed was the big screen on the ceiling, with an anonymous voice. Her eyes slowly went to No Name, and she tilted her head alittle. Her eyes examined all of the scars that she could see. There was so many. The little girl watched, just barely peeking around the doorway, just enough to see. She watched in curiosity, surprise, and shock all mixed into a combination of feelings. She stared at him, watching as he got injected by three needles in with his arms. That did not look like it felt good.
the needles pulled out and he gasps in pain, the robot lifted his shirt up and there were more scars and that area in his chest got stabbed with needles too, not careful ones that doctors would give but fast punctures and he gasps and winces again, then the robot did his legs. and then the clasps released and he dropped to the ground not able to stand or lift himself up with his hands from the pain he was receiving, worst still the fall had bashed his nose so now it was bleeding, it was clear this robot had either no knowledge of how fragile the human body could be, or just did not care
Amery watched in silence, and slight horror as the boy got so many injections into him by needle. If she got that may shots she'd cry like a baby, but based of the boys scars, he was used to it- for the most part. The little girl after a moment left the door way and entered the room and walked over to her friend. She looked at him, "you okay?" She asked quietly, despite the fact it was pretty clear that he was not okay.
he suddenly got a shocked look hearing her voice and looked up at her the best he could "Am-Amery?" he asks in both pain and surprise "what are you doing here?" he asks trying to get up but just falls on his face again, making more of his nose blood go on the floor "...no I am not really fine but... this is a daily thing though... my mom normally does this and the robot is a little... less gentle" he says and sighs again trying to help himself up, but it was clear by his face this was putting a lot of pain on his body
She shook her head slightly, "Nothing.." Amery said trying to sound innocent like she hadnt seen everything that just happened. Amery crouched down and looked at him, worry was written in her eyes. "No moving" she told him, though she doubted he'd listen. After a few seconds she asked "Any way Amery can help?" She was wanting to help him, though she didn't want to touch him, or try to help him up, fearing she'd just cause him more pain.
he thinks for a moment and nods "yes you can... help" he says wincing in pain seeing as he was getting use to the pain, he did not like having his face resting in his own blood. he held out his hand for her to help him up, "take me to the bathroom...please" he requests his muscles and veins contracting and retracting
Amery stood up, and took her friends hand and tried to help him up, or at least help him a little. "Where's that?" She asked him. Seeing she had not got to explore much at all, she did not know where that room was located.
