he sighs "I missed you too..." he says and sighs snuggling into her, then he hears her comment and laughs "she honestly deserved it" he says giggling

"I was determined not t get taken away, rather it was kicking her, or clinging to the stairs, I didn't want to leave my friend.." she said to REQUIEM. "But I guess its the past," she said quietly, thinking over that day again. For the last few years she feared she would never see her friend again. Like he HD left her, and would be gone forever..

he nods "it is in the past" he says and rubs her head "so, shall we get going so we can go home?" he asks tilting his head running his hand through her hair

"Define home. My home, or your home?" She asked. They did not share a home. His mother had deprived her of that. Denied her that miracle of happiness.

he smiles "with me!" he says happily "My mom is not as mean as she was before, I think it might have been work related" he smiles and rubs her hand

Amery looked down, doubtful that she could. After being a child, and being rejected if that, still being a child- but one year from being a teenager, she still believed she would be rejected of that option. "What if...." she started quietly, "what if she still says no?" She asked. Just because the past reason was 'work related' didn't mean his mom would say yes now,

he looks at her "then I will run away with you and we can live together! and be happy!" he says smiling brightly and rubs her hand "We can do whatever we want, when we want!" he says and hops up and down excitedly "Like that month we spent together without my mom! It will be just like that" he says happily

She was silent, it was plain to see her doubt. But as he explained, that doubt faded and changed into something else. She looked down, and a smile appeared on her face, and honesty a tear ran down her cheek at the thought of that. She still had a bit of doubt, but the fact of wanting things t be the way they were, when they goofed off, when they had fun, when they had a childhood worth carrying on.

He was determined not to let her go astray again it seemed, but they were best friends. Even if she got denied again, REQUIEM would find a way,,

he smiles and places his hand on her cheek and dried her tear away "I promise" he says happily and hugs her tightly, he just stood there and hugged her for a bit and then lets go smiling "now come on, lets get out of this hell hole" he says happily and steps outside and waits for her carefully and patiently

He promised. Hopefully he would abide by that promise, and keep it. Though when she hugged him, she didn't hug him back. Nobody could ever tell when he would hug him, and when she shouldn't. She looked at him and nodded an okay. Time to blow this hellhole...before she followed him outside.

he smiles and sees her come out and starts walking around "army has already moved out of this city area, that will make this easier" he says and starts to walk "...how have you been these last few years?" he asks curiously, but sounded like he was guilty when he asked this

The army left so soon? She wanted to believe they would be back. A reprise. There was no way they would leave so soon, unless it was a short war, but then again, she wasn't sure. She started to walk near him, but not close. "Crappy" was all she said.

he sighs "I am sorry...I wish I could have stopped her but..." he sighs and stops sitting down "I guess then I sucked at being a super solder" he sighs and sobs a little "I...I failed you..."

"Nobodies perfect" was all she told him at first, "we failed, but were getting back up and trying once again to succeed" she told her friend and sat down beside him.

he smiles and nods "You are right" he says and rubs her head and stands up and keeps walking and looks around, he took off his helmet and put it on his hip "I would rather talk to you eye to eye ya know?" he says happily

She stood up after he had and began to follow him again. She looked at him, then his helmet, "I think I know" she said in response.

he smiles and looks around "I was not the only person who missed you either, that food droid seemed to be disappointed not to see you" he says and stretches

"really?" She asked not losing much eye contact with him. Had a droid seriously missed her?

he nods and looks around "You are a very likable person" he says happily

"Thanks..I guess" she said quietly. That was a first anyone said that.
