Check it out. There's a haunted house in the seeming middle of nowhere, Texas. I'm working there and I'm loving it--loving it! It doesn't sound like it would be impressive, out in the woods where it is, but it's huge! Spirit of Halloween from Beaumont, Texas ranked us as the top haunted house in southeast texas. There's three different houses. 10$ for one house, 18$ for two, 21$ to go to all three. Me? I'm the convict being electrocuted by the mad scientist that drove everyone insane and infected them to begin with. My husband actually is said mad scientist, so it's really fun to work together.
If anyone feels like checking it out, I can probably give directions. We're between Jasper and Woodville, if anyone out there knows where that is. If not, I can help. It's at a place called Dam B right by the Neches River. It's Fridays and Saturdays through Halloween, and Halloween day itself, tickets start selling at 7:30PM. Also, if anyone out there has Time Warner Cable, you can see commercials on Scifi and Natgeo for it if you wanna take a peek that way. I don't have that cable package though, so I have no idea how it looks.
Seriously, it'd be great to get to scare the crap out of fellow RPers. If anyone wants to know how to find the Haunted Village, ask and I'll totally help you get there. ";

That sounds like a really great job!
A bit far for me to come see but I bet it would be fun

It really is.
Also a correction. Scifi and Animal Planet, not Natgeo. I don't know why I keep thinking Natgeo.
I'm kinda sore from thrashing around in a wooden chair for four hours yesterday, and my throat's a little raspy, but I've got time to recover.
Someone peed in our room from fear last night. Seriously. We didn't even know when it happened. I looked down. "...Why is the floor wet?" Derek thought someone might have spilled water. Dipped his finger in it. Sniffed it. "THAT'S NOT WATER!" ...Right in front of my chair, which is pretty grody because the floor slants a little and it started running towards me.

Also, here's our website:
http://www.dambhauntedhouse.com/ You can probably look around and see some of it.
Edit: Oh hey, I just looked, you see a shot of the chair I get electrocuted in under media.

I love haunte dmansions. Though Texas is a bit too far away from me.

If only I was back in Texas, I could probably drive out there. *just asked her dad where exactly Beaumont is* Doesn't sound like it'd be too far of a drive from Hideaway.
Looks like you'd be a few hours north of us, but reachable. Too bad. Got any old friends in the area you could send our way? Maybe you could hear about it from them.
Wowww, this sounds like a major effort.
I've never peed in a haunted house before, but I have collapsed in fear (and took out all the walls of a gymnasium sized maze like dominoes with me) when a clown leapt out of nowhere at me. On the bright side, I found the exit.

lol Kim. It's a really big effort. Their second year running. Last year they got about 10,000 People. They're hoping to triple it this year. We found out about it late, the hubby was gonna sound engineer for them but didn't have enough time. Next year he will though. Also cool, the guy who runs it owns a machine shop which is his field so he's gonna land a good paying job again. Yay! Out of the hole soon.
