" I'm never going back into that hell,
never."
A young girl stumbled around in the woods. Her hands covered in scars and scabs, along with the rest of her body. The only untouched thing on her was her face. Long, teal hair hanged down from her head and ended at her waist. She just couldn't fit in to anywhere. She had tried to fit in with the towns people, but she was different. Questions about the scars and scabs traveled around the town and soon it spread out into the cities. That's how she was always hunted down, each time in a different cruel way.
The girl was named Noelle. As she stumbled around the ground, she struggled to see. Her hands ran along what seemed to be a tree and she turned. Using the trees outer layer for help, she sat down onto the ground. The forest chirped with energy. Noelle's index finger tapped along her left hand, meaning she was mad or troubled.

Piiro was a fuzzy faced Wabbaloq from the distant land of Loqwood, he traveled from place to place selling his fireworks to children and mages all over the world, the power of fire trapped in a small nutty orb to be tossed at foes or for entertainment. People loved his wares, and he was on his way to a town nearby when he decided he would camp in the woulda for the night. He had just finished packing up when a scarred up girl entered his little make shift camp.
"Human are you ok?" Piiro, unlike more Wabbaloqs, and unlike most unhuman creatures loved humans. Humans were his best customer, and despite their off springs... Baldness, they were still adorable. "Do you need help mam'?" He wasn't to familure with medicine but he did know some of the ingredients he used in his Boom Powder could be used in healing teas.

Ryker Is a Dire wolf, this forest his home. He enjoys putting fear into others as well as causing mayhem. He is intelligent compared to most dire wolves, in fact compared to most canines he is quite intelligent.
Ryker peered from a patch of dense shrubbery, his purple eyes staring at the two prey items. One was a human and Ryker knew that humans, much like his own kind don't normally travel alone. Unless the right opportunity came along he wouldn't even try to make an effort.
But the other creature looked small and frail, unaware of the impending danger that lurked within the dense forest. Ryker started drooling but not from hunger, he was drooling from the thought of how he would take the little fuzzy creature down. A bite to the throat? Maybe he would latch his powerful jaws onto the creatures tiny head and just crush its skull.
"That would be to savage" Ryker muttered under his breath, being one that enjoyed being an opportunist Ryker instead started growling loud enough that he could be heard he stepped into the open and took an attack pose. His lips parted vertically, his tail wagged methodically from left to right, and he growled staring deeply into the little creatures eyes.
Ryker lunged and landed right in front of the Wabbaloq, he sat down panting and licked the creatures cheek. "I love you little fuzzy!" Ryker said, he had a plan to eventually get the Wabbaloq where he wanted but for now he would just have to play dumb.

Noelle looked at the fuzzy animal, startled at first. " I'm fine and don't you dare calm me a human. " She said, anger in her voice. She looked at the wounds that covered her body. " These are wounds I don't think you can heal, but you can try. " She pulled her sleeve up and exposed some of the wounds. Scabs covered some of them put, there were open wounds. No emotions showed on her face.
When the creature came near them, Noelle pulled down her sleeve. She pushed herself up and onto her feet. Her breathe was short, still tired from running. Noelle fancied other species and she could pick out the Dire Wolf. Noelle always attacked first and that was what she was doing. She gathered enough strength to throw herself on the wolf and pin him down. A growl snuck out of her own mouth, signaling she wasn't human.

The soft caressing tune of a violin pierced the air as girl stepped out into the clearing. In her hands a black violin and bow, small spell marks glowed green as the sound escaped from the instrument. She wore a simple spiraling green dress with a brown leather corset and a charcoal grey velvet cloak with rune marks lining the edges. Her long wavy hair shone in the sunlight that fell between the trees over head, her pale blue eyes glancing this way and that at the people and creatures nearby.
"Everyone calm down..." the girl said with a soothing voice. She was playing a slow melody that seemed to mellow everyone within hearing range. "What is going on here?" She continued, "Why can't a witch walk through the forest in peace?"

with a growl Ryker answered "I was saying hello to the hamster looking guy and then this ghoul attacked me!" Ryker was lying through his teeth but his silver tongue and ability to manipulate others allowed him to seem truthful.
"you wanna get off me now kid?" Ryker said as his face turned from fear to annoyance.
"you wanna get off me now kid?" Ryker said as his face turned from fear to annoyance.
"Really?" the girl said with an overly convinced voice. She was a witch, you couldn't pull the wool over her eyes. But she'd play along anyway, she reached over with her spare hand to help pull Noelle off of Ryker. "So... What are you all doing in this part of the forest? I'm supposed to be guarding this area until my mentor returns." Lyra explained.
Noelle looked at the Dire Wolf and felt the cool hands of the witch. She was weak, but still would fight back. She tugged her arm away from her and snapped at her. " Why is it your business witch. "
Noelle tugged her shirt down and made her way towards the fuzzy animal. " Don't tell me you don't see the wickedness in this mutts eyes. " Her eyes looked at the Dire Wolf and her eyes flickered into a yellowish color, but then back to normal.

"hey who are you calling mutt? you look like people have been throwing daggers and glass at you!" Ryke said
"Furthermore the fact that you have the audacity to accuse me of having malicious intents show just how foolish you are, Madame I suggest next time you try and question the thought process of a clearly superior intellectual mind that you don't come to battle exhausted and looking like tree bark with all your scabs." Ryker felt victorious after his tyrade directed towards the scar covered girl.
if Ryker couldn't best someone physically he would gladly best them with his brain.

Piiro struggled to stand, the wolf attack scared his little heart into a knocked out state. But as soon as the witch began to play his heart slowed and he was able to awaken again. He was a weak one when it came to silver tongues and witch's spells. All Wabbaloq's were, it was why they didn't travel. But Piiro was different, he loved seeing the world and selling his wares to people all across the land. "Um I guess if he says he wanted to say hello we should believe him, we can't punish someone about an assumption," he was a skilled craftsman but weak minded.
Something the little fuzz ball did have was a trusting nature when it came to others, if someone did nothing wrong then they instantly had his one hundred percent trust. It could be lost but he had no reason to disbelieve anyone starting out. "I'm Piiro," he waved to the wolf and witch, "I'm a firework maker, I travel across the land selling my wares to children and mages alike."

"Anything that goes on within this part of the Dark Woods is my concern, by right of vicarious land ownership. What I see and what I do not isn't your concern, so don't cross me shapeshifter. Let's all keep a cool head, shall we?" the girl in green repeated, only with a little more emphasis as she cast a verbal spell (not her strong suit but it always worked in a pinch).
"Now now..." Lyra said to Ryker while trying to keep the peace, "Lets not bite off more than we can chew mangy-mutt. That is quite enough of that." Lyra replied evenly.
Lyra then helped up the beleaguered wabbaloq, "Are you alright?" Lyra asked with genuine concern. It had been a long time since she had seen his kind last. "It is nice to meet you Piiro, my name is Witch Lyra but you may call me Lyra. I've never seen fireworks before, but I've read plenty about them - maybe you can show me a spectacular display sometime." Lyra said with a voice as soft as the velvet on her cloak.

"Which Lyra are you," the fuzzy man giggled jokingly, he had always wanted to say something like that to a witch that if he had ever met one, it was on his bucket list. He took a stand next to her and decided that if any sort of jazz was gonna go down around here, behind her may be the best place to be. "I will gladly show you some time."
His belongings were all packed up on his pack but three fist sized ball dangled from one side of the back and some dragon sticks stuck out the other side. When you strike a dragon stick it creates a small flame, like a match but bigger and it lasts longer. As for the balls they were his three types of fire works, the red bomb, the black bomb, and the blue bomb.
"These are them actually, the red one is a normal exploding fire work and the black one is a smoke bomb!" Piiro loved when people, mortal or not, took an interest in his craft. "But the blue ones' are my personal creation, no one has ever mixed Drake Lilies and Pixie Ash like I do." He smiled really big trying to make everyone forget that they were at each others throats. "It creates a brilliant blue and white phoenix that flies forward in a brilliant assortment of fire and sparks!!!"

Ryker was appalled that he had been called a mutt again "Just because you have thumbs does not give you the right to mock me, and secondly I am not mangy! while I may have a few ticks and the occasional flea swarm I am completely mange free Madame." he said with his nose in the air, Ryker then scratched behind his ear with his back foot.
"While I might not meet the standards for a household pet I am at the pinnacle of health for a wild animal. A paragon of physical health... Besides if anyone here is a mutt its the shape shifter seeing as how she is whatever she decides to be, if she really is what you claim witch." Ryker said with a smirk although not one for physical confrontation he really enjoyed ruffling feathers and instigating things.

Noelle looked at the witch, anger in her eyes. How could she know that she was a shapeshifter. She laughed underneath her breathe at the witches remark about the Dire wolf. " I am certainly not a mutt. " She put her hands out movin her thumbs. " Look, I have thumbs. " She smiled and pulled her hands back, which were covered in cuts. Now he heard the fuzzy animal talking to the witch. " Well, I'm not here for a show, I better be on my way. " She turned and walked away. In a flash of light she turned into a raven and turned towards them. Her piercing yellow eyes looked at them, her black feathers damaged.
Ryker scoffed at the shifter " Thumbs or not, you just proved my point. You are in fact a mutt, a mixed breed, a hybrid of every creature imaginable." Ryker began to laugh at the shifter "For having a brain allegedly so much larger than mine it is quite noticeable that you can't make the best use of it. Such a shame that the blessing of a great brain... wasted on the likes of something like you."
Ryker took on a serious look and with a slight grin he asked the shifter "Tell me, do you know what your original form looks like? Is it really a human form? Or have you chosen to use it so that you can stay hidden from the ridicule mankind would place on you?"
Ryker wanted to drive the shifter over the edge just to mess with the creatures thought process, he wanted the shifter to remember his words, to hate the thought of his allegations.
"Tell me, how am I the mongrel, and how am I the mutt.. When you are the bane of all mankind? Sure I might not be your average dire wolf but you... You are the beast of nightmares, you are the one they will chase to the ends of the earth to eradicate, and you are the one that doesn't belong to any specific species, phylum, or class... Tell me this, how is it that you can live this life knowing that the world sees you as an abomination? When they think that you are nothing but an incarnation of evil?" Ryker's intended to make his words pierce the shape shifters ears, to make her feel mental anguish, and to make her question who she really was.
"Go ahead, run away. We both know that you cannot escape the evils of man and we both know that they wont stop until either you are dead... Or until they have you on display for their entertainment."
Ryker had gotten to serious with his words for now his body language showed his seething hatred of the human race, his emotions began to flow freely through his words and it was clear that he wouldn't give a damn if every human on the face of this planet ended up getting eradicated for there crimes.

The words the Dire wolf first spoke her did not hurt her badly. Mutt, now that pissed her off. She turned and shifted into a human. The sharp pains traveled back into her body, the change did hurt. " Atleast I don't end up seeking out meals on little creatures. " The arrogance and strong headedness of Noelle began to show and she let a soft, almost growl like sound come out of her mouth.
The second question, Noelle never really knew the question. She never chose to think about it, but now she did. Her natural form seemed to be human since changing into animals or other life forms brought a pain to her. " It appears so that my natural form is human. Wolf, I don't need your words to twist my mind. " She hissed angrily, tapping her fingers on her arm.
These words the Dire wolf spoke hit her hard. Her vengance clouded any form of history about her, but now it was disappearing, making her wonder. " I can be like them, do their ways, dress how they do. Unlike you wolf. " Noelle let a new emotion take over her, anxiety. " I'm not bad! I never chose to be like this, I don't know how or why. "
Noelle sunk to the forest ground, the cuts on her knees and chins now opening, letting the fresh scent of blood fill the air. Her hand grabbed her head and she stared at the ground. At this point, she was vaunerble, something that was uncommon. " I don't want the humans to hurt me or for them to hunt me. " The emotions clouded her mind and a single tear ran down her face.

Piiro had met a shift shaper once in a city to the far north east. His name was York, he was cool an society didn't attack him. Maybe it was just here in the west people were less tolerant of new forms of mankind. But Piiro being a rare creature to see in these parts he understood the feeling of being alone sometimes but he had no racist or thoughts of hate for any other kind of creature so the humans of the towns had always eventually accepted him.
The sound of a dragon stick being lit could be heard then a small sizzling sound. A red bomb rolled under the dire wolf and exploded, Boom! His body flipped backwards breaking through a tree and slid across the forest floor before coming to a fairly bloody stop. "If you're going to use your words like daggers, I don't want to hear you use them at all!" His angry tone was a bit too adorable to be scary but his fire works were still a powerful source of attack. He drew another red bomb incase Ryker attacked, he had nothing against the wolf other then listening to him put the girl down... And that simply wasn't very polite.

Ryker let loose a cry of pain as the bomb exploded,he landed in a thorn Bush.
He didn't move or make any sound he knew he was safer in the bushes out of sight. his fur was singed and his front leg was bleeding. Ryker began to quietly lick at it.

Lyra had seen quite enough, "Rhapsody..." Lyra said as she drew a long whine from her bow across the fret board of her instrument. That single cadenza sent ribbons of ethereal light from the proximity of Lyra that reached out and began to ensnare everyone around her, she was casting a binding spell.
When she finished her song and when everyone was all but mummified in ribbons of musical spells Lyra addressed them again. "Shapeshifter, I know what you are because I am a Witch. And everyone knows that Witches know more things than anyone else, even Wizards. Calm down, do not let you emotions rule you. Prove to others that you are more than what people see on the outside." Lyra said as she plucked a string on her violin and Muted her spell. The ribbons that held Noelle dissipated into a white dust like vapor.
"Piiro, as brave as you may be do no pick fights. Even if you know you can win, be the peaceful being I know your people are." Lyra said as she repeated her Dispel on Piiro.
"And you... Wolf. As bright as you may be, as cunning as you are and as 'well intentioned' as you may try to be... Don't. I am responsible for all thing in this part of the woods, as such it would be wise of you to mind your manners until you leave this safe haven. Or you can be removed. Your choice!~" Lyra said with a voice that dripped with sweet venom. It was then that Lyra noticed that Ryker's leg was badly injured.
Lyra sighed and released him as well, "I suppose you'd like me to heal that for you?" Lyra said a bit sarcastically. But she did mean it, she had a responsibility and that included tending to the wildlife.

Ryker growled from the bushes "Now that rodent gives me a reason to kill, yet you tell me now that you refuse to allow me to do as nature says..."
Ryker knew he wouldn't be able to outsmart the witch, but he planned to reason with her. "You defend these savages, they attack with magic and flame. Why because they cant handle the reality they live in? Witch you and I both know that if your true intention is peace then you will need to eliminate those that cannot control their anger and those that cannot accept that the things around them are imperfect."
