In a remote area of Colorado, just outside of Denver, is Pike's Military and Reform Academy. A place for families to send their kids who act out, are in need of behavioral reform, have no other place to go or just honestly want to go into the military. With "secret" drag races, underage drinking, computer hacking, mostly harmless pranks and a little murderous stalking, this year is bound to be one no one will forget! The castle-like structure loomed above her, it's almost gothic style gave the building a nearly depressed look.
Lei loved it!
Home sweet home.
She hauled the same bags she'd used for three years out of her aunt's car.
"Bye Sweeties!" she waved from the front seat.
"Yeah bye." Lei said absently.
"Bye Mom! I love you! I'll call you every night! Promise!" her cousin Cheyanne gushed through the passenger door window.
Across the grass Lei saw her boyfriend of a year and half.
"Marcus! Marc!" she yelled, abandoning her old suitcases by her blonde cousin, bouncing to the brunette hunk who had turned to smile at her.
"Hey baby, how was your drive?" he grinned widely, holding his arms open for her to jump into.
Lei leapt up, folding her legs around his waist.
"Boring! We lost service somewhere in Arkansas and I couldn't text ANYONE for like an hour!" she giggled laughing at her very good impression of a valley girl.
"Ok you guys, get a room!" Chey laughed dropping her best friend's bags by the obnoxious couple's feet.
Lei smiled brightly so ready to get this year started!

A girl no older than fifteen walked up the stone steps to Pike's Military and Reform Academy, her face hidden behind a beat-up black hoodie. She also wore jeans that had clearly been through some tough times, as well as a pair of shoes that were falling apart with every step. The only thing on the girl that seemed semi-new was the I-pod and ear buds that canceled the noise from the obnoxious kids around her and the ratty bag on her shoulders. The bad held all the clothes the girl owned and a notebook with a guitar on the front, clearly her personal "journal."
Sighing, The girl continued to walk up the steps until she saw a nice tree that she could sit under. Walking over to the tree, she watched the other students who would be attending this hell-hole say goodbye to their loved ones and meet up with friends, talking about how the summer went and who they hung with.

"So who's ready for their new roommates?" Chey asked with a sarcastic smile.
Lei got off Marcus and stood next to her cousin.
"I'm still rooming with Luke from last year." Marcus shrugged.
"You know I never get a roommate." Lei said a little condescendingly. "I always get that letter that says 'due to uneven numbers' blah, blah, blah." Lei rolled her eyes and slung her backpack over her shoulder.
"Oh it says that does it? 'Blah, blah, blah'?" Marcus laughed.
"Pretty much." Lei said with a sassy shrug. "I didn't even read it this year. I just threw it away."
Cheyanne started to say something but Lei was getting bored.
"Oh look, they propped the doors open- I'm taking that as an invitation!" Lei said grabbing her battered suitcase off the grass. "Let's get out of this heat."
"What are you talking about- It's worse back home." Chey practically drawled. "I should've worn longer shorts." she shuddered playfully.
Marcus laughed, running a hand over his short, thick, dirty blonde hair. "If you think Alabama is bad, try summers in Florida! The heat pretty much cooks the alcohol that partiers have left every where and the whole city smells like booze."
He rolled his eyes and followed the cousins up the cement steps and inside where a few of their teachers milled about talking.
Although Lei was sure they'd all had sticks surgically fused with their spines at some point. There was just no way they all stood so perfectly for so long.

Seeing a couple other students go into the doors of the school, she figured they were letting students in now so she followed. Looking at the high ceilings, she almost didn't believe this was a military academy, until she saw the teachers. "Ouch." The girl muttered, noticing how straight the teachers backs were. They were almost perpendicular with the floor if not for the curve of their necks.
"Time to find my dorm." She sighed, following a couple of the girl students ahead of her.

Matt was already inside the building before the doors had opened. He'd been given the punishment of greeting and logging people in as they entered.
In other words, he'd have to talk to people.
After the first rowdy few had entered, Matt was already pretty much done with this. But no, he still had another hundred thousand to allow in. This would be a long, long, long day.

"Hey Matt," Cheyanne blinked a little to rapidly in her efforts to flirt with the secretary's assistant.
"Shut up Chey." Lei scoffed.
"KaraLei Martin, Marcus Strom and Cheyanne Keys." Marcus said waiting for their fellow student to write their names down and hand them their schedules and room keys.
Chey shot Lei a dirty look and leaned against the table, "So do you think we'll have any classes this year?"
"Doubtful, you're a second year." Lei said bluntly, rolling her eyes.

"If you sign up for them," Matt replied, writing down their names in a log book and then typing them in a computer. He went underneath the cabinet to whichever lights had lit up when he typed in their names, opening the drawers and grabbing everything in them.
"And if you're so smart that the classes want you," He finished, putting the papers out on the counter.

The girl had been standing behind the kids who were being rather obnoxious from her POV, but it didn't matter. As long as she didn't hurt anybody this year she could go back to her old school in NYC. Waiting for the kids in front of her to move out of the way, she reached into her pocket and paused the music that had still been blaring through her headphones. The girl kept her hood up though, hiding her midnight black hair and her electric blue eyes along with the scars that ran up both of her arms.
"so is this the academy cant wait sounds fun" he says sarcastically thinking exactly what the point of coming was
Lei scooped up their papers and sorted them out before handing them to her friends.
"You might as well not even try hitting on him- like he said, you're not smart enough." Lei teased.
"No! He said his classes were to advanced for me." Cheyanne pouted before flipping through her papers.
"Actually he said-," Marcus started.
"Shut up." Both girls said, leading the way into the dinning hall where plenty of other students sat with their things.
"The most frustrating part about the introduction process is that we can't even go to our rooms till the Headmaster makes a big speech about the schools history and blah, blah, blah." Lei groaned.
"Not even!" Cheyanne protested, "It's whoever had detentions still left to serve at the end of the year have to come back and help the staff out with the signing in process and stuff. That's probably why Matt is out there."
"Doubtful." Lei mumbled.
"By far, the worst part about first day back- is how we don't get to eat dinner till after we've unpacked!" Marcus said a little loudly.
Lei and Cheyanne nodded along.
"Hey who's that girl?" Cheyanne asked pointing to the doorway where a new girl stood.
"I don't know," Lei said, puzzled, "I heard we were getting lots of transfer students this year."

Once the kids in front of her finally walked away from the table, the girl stepped up nervously. "Um, Tech Radika?" She asked, wondering if she was enrolled here with her birth name instead of the name she had been using for years now. Shifting from foot to foot, Tech waited for the guy, Matt the other kids called him, to get her key and stuff.
(Lol Tech Radika isn't her real name, it's the one she created when she ran away from her foster parents.)

Boy. There are a lot of students this year. Maybe John should've considered becoming a soldier once again. However due to the unfortunate circumstances of financing and income, this was the only paying work available.
The long haired man peeked through the door and suddenly felt shivers run down his spine. Something felt different this time...was he afraid? He didn't understand considering that he use to singlehandedly taken down tanks and choppers, stares death in the face everytime he's called into action, he's even faced torture involving cattle prods in 'many' places. The middle aged professor ran his fingers through his brown mullet like hair and readjusted his eyepatch while looking at a glass mirror. He could already tell. He dressed like a professional, but he felt like an F.N.G.
The man wore a black suit which was perfectly taken care of, a white button down beneath his tux, some old dress shoes, a black eyepatch on his right eye that wrapped around his ear and head, he had a brown mullet like style that would impress even billy Ray Cyrus, and to top it all off he was rather well built. It didn't take much to notice the biceps underneath his coat. A real "Woman sweeper" as his best friend would say. But now was not the time for that.
After a few minutes of awkwardly standing there, the man stepped out from the doors and made his way to the podium an prepared himself for the intro speech for these future students. When he spoke you could tell the years have been rather hard on him. His voice was rather raspy and harsh but the way he spoke this time made those factors seem soothing.
"Good morning students. Unfortunately the headmaster is absent today due to their spouse feeling ill. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Proffesor John Doe, I educate students in military history and lead our rifle association. Let me be the fi-, sorry, the next person to invite you to out academy. Your very own Outer Heaven.."
The speech was rather short due to the reasoning that the students needed to get to their dorms then class. He would give details to his speeh but time was of the essence.
"Directions to your classes and dorms will be located in the halls to your right. The files with your names include everything you need to know about this university. If you have any questions please feel free to speak to one of the faculty here. I hope you all enjoy your stay here. Welcome to your new paradise."
With that John departed from the podium and made his way out. Not too bad he thought.
"Actual name please," Matt said to the girl in front of him, finding it ridiculous he even had to ask. She was so heavily clad in covering clothing articles that he couldn't even deduce her name, much less give her her items so that she could actually start up here
As the triplets that were rather loud up there had said, Matt was there for getting detention. He didn't have a filter when he spoke, so he revealed multiple affairs and embarrassing details when teachers tried to get onto him. He didn't exactly act out, per say, but he didn't understand humiliation and he liked to show off. In other words, he was an accidental aşşhole.

With a great heaving sigh, Tech murmured her name so low that he would miss it if he didn't listen for it. "Jocelyn Hope." She adjusted her bag on her shoulder, scratching her left arm absentmindedly. A couple of seconds later something red could be seen on her left palm if you were actually looking, something that looked a lot like blood. "Will this take long? I think I missed the opening thing."
"That is just a way for the General to scare the kids into behaving. Which never works, considering his weight and the amount of grays hidden in his red mullet, so it's pointless for you to attend," Matt said, the words blurring together in how quickly he said them as he typed her name into the computer, then as his black hair dipped underneath the counter to give her her stuff. "Don't lose that," he said, in a routine beat, like it was rehearsed.
Logan was watching as people entered, his currently green eyes sweeping the crowd for anyone that the other part of him knew. There were quite a few--this 'other part' of him being a werewolf, and werewolves being social animals, he basically owned the school as what he considered to be the alpha of it. Everyone knew him or knew about him, and everyone that knew him secretly loved him. It's fantastic for his obviously tiny ego.
He wasn't paying attention as the man gave the speech, he was still studying, staying in the arches that walled off the hallways to a from classes. He'd let out the werewolf soon, but for now, he wanted to be able to determine what to do in case it called for him to protect himself.

Giggling a little at his first statement, she accepted the papers. When she lifted her left arm she noticed the red running down her arm, quickly hiding it. "Thanks." She went to walk away, not knowing exactly where to go. A little bit embarrassed, she spotted the kids from earlier going over to a wall where a bunch of papers were tapped to the wall.
"Oh hey it's Doe!" Marcus said pointing to the podium just before their teacher spoke.
Lei rolled her eyes, "He always tries to confuse students into thinking they have a class tonight. I wonder how many first years are going to fall for it." she looked out one of the high windows out into the front lawn where some nervous kids were looking around, eyes wide.
"Well I think it was kinda mean." Chey sad throwing her hair over her shoulder. "It's not nice to the newbies or to the people, like Matt, who are logging people in. They are gonna get bombarded with questions."
"Well that's their fault, it's like 7 at night. What school would really schedule someone this late on the first day?"
She leaned across the table and watched as people started coming out of the kitchens, bringing large plates of just about everything and setting them on the long buffet table.
"Let's go eat," she jumped out of her chair and headed toward the food.

Matt was left off of 'dishing duty', as the person that had relieved him had called it, only to be met with people bombarding him with questions. He blatantly ignored each one of them, finding it a waste of time to feign interest in their ignorant stupidity.
He plunged through the crowds in his suit, trying to get to his own dorm so that he could be alone.
He ended up shoving people at the tantalizing thought, trying his hardest at sprinting through the courtyard, then the building, then up the staies--he'd decided that the elevators would be too slow.
He went to his dorm, standing at the door for a moment with an expression of happiness so pure that Jesus would approve. He opened the door using his keys, locking it behind him and turning around.
