"Then you are a lucky man among those of this shoreline." She said sadly. "Many are told greedy and heart wrenching mad, that they'll shoot a harpoon at anyone of my family...just for a pretty penny...and for that they are met with a fate worse then death..."
Kafiha nodded
"Greed is a common problem in these lands, Especially among some of our neighboring states. However, I have no interest in driving my sword or lance through anything that isn't attempting to do the same to me or my countrymen. I fight for my lord, Duke Szigmund, not for simple greed. Besides, My father was a merchant before he was raised to nobility. I know there are plenty of ways to make coin that don't involve senseless murder or mindless aggression."

She looked at him curiously. "You're quite strange....I have not met a labels walker who is respectful to my kind....I am grateful for it..." She said with a slight bow of her head.
"But you truly must be careful on who you listen to..."
"But you truly must be careful on who you listen to..."
Kafiha smiled and knelt down in the sand, meeting her gaze at eye level.
"I'm a nobleman and a warrior. Respect is something that is required of me. Caution, however, is generally discouraged. Besides."
He laughed as he peered around.
"I fail to see the threat you or your family pose to me so long as I'm not in a boat. They scattered as soon as I strolled up."

She nodded slightly. "They were scared. And I was too. Humans are terrifying. With their nets and spears and...and..knives..." She shivered siblings farther into the water with each item, almost scaring herself with the thought.
Kafiha nodded.
"And you expect me to think I'm the one in danger? Humans are terrifying. We have to be. There's no shortage of things out there that want to kill and eat us. A shame innocents like you get caught in the mix."
"And you expect me to think I'm the one in danger? Humans are terrifying. We have to be. There's no shortage of things out there that want to kill and eat us. A shame innocents like you get caught in the mix."
She blinks In surprise. "And people like you? These knights? Are they not innocent?" She said laying he. Hands on the rock and resting her head on her hands.
Kafiha paused, thinking.
"That's an interesting philosophical question. However, since I have been trained from birth to fight and kill for my lord and my house, anyone who is my enemy should not consider me innocent. However, of wrongdoing, of heresy, and of wicked deeds, I am an innocent man, yes."

She backed away slightly. "You are a weird human..." She stated again. "What us your lord like? Is he a benevolent man?" She asked curiously swimming In circles. "Is he taller then man, or shorter then woman?"
Kafiha chuckled, pulling a piece of hard bread from Espresso's saddle and taking a bite.
"On the contrary. I'm rather ordinary for a knight. And Duke Szigmund? He's of fairly average height, I suppose. Balding, gray hair. He's still a stout old boar though, and he has no trouble wielding a sword. And yes, He is a benevolent man. He cares very much about the common people and their rights. Though most of his time is consumed by the war."

She cocked her head to the side. "And What of this war? What is it about?" She asked propping herself up on the rock and looked at his horse. She held her hand out to the horse..
"The war is about land, mostly. But it's also about culture. The sorceror-queens of the neighboring lands seek to rule Szigmund's people. And Szigmund has sworn he will die before he allows his people to be ruled by such as them. And so knights like me fight the armies for the sorceror-queens, to stalemate after bloody stalemate. Neither side can really gain ground."
Still entranced with the horse She made a clicking noise at it. "That seems like a pathetic fight...it is obvious the others are nothing but more then greedy men. They will do anything they will see as a benefit to themselves and the down fall if another..."
Kafiha sighed sadly.
"Of course it is a senseless war. I have no wish to fight it. Neither does my lord. But we did not start it. We did not continue it, and for the sake of our people, we must win it. If we lose, we condemn thousands of souls to slavery. And so we must perpetuate the fruitless struggle, forced upon us by our neighbors."

She turned on he back floating and looking at him. "Being a human seems very...difficult..." She said turning around and around. "Useless wars, levels and positions. Can't you live how you'd like?" She asked curiously.
