"Ugh." Jessebelle moaned, watching him run his hand through his bangs. "If you want I can cut your hair when we get there, I was planning to be a hair stylist when I got out of the orphanage and I'm pretty good." She rattled, unconcerned that she was talking so much.

Leo seemed to freeze at the mention of cutting his hair. "No,no that's not necessary.."He said quickly and then slid his hands into his pockets. Maybe then he would stop messing with his hair and glasses. His pale eyes flicked to Jessebelle as she droned on about her plans in life, oh only if she realized. Then again, Leo didn't look a day over sixteen years old, and he looked like that for over three hundred years now.

"Oh come on." She pouted, still walking with him nevertheless. "So how did you meet this teacher?" She asked, trying to keep the awkward silence from occurring. She always had hated awkward silences, they were just too personal.

"Come on what? My answer stands."He said seeming slightly defensive. Subconsciously he rubbed his scalp, thinking about what had happened about a year ago when some kids in his class chopped his hair off. That was after they had yanked him by his hair over a table. Even though that was a year or so ago, he remembered it clearly as if it happened yesterday. Now barely anyone could get away with touching or trying to cut his hair.

Leo thought for a moment,"..I was living with for a little while. At the time I wasn't doing that well either, yet, he never lost his patience once."He said, looking down. That was a hard year for Leo and his cousin, who,thankfully, still lived with Teacher.

"Fine, then I won't cut your greasy and gross hair." Jessebelle shot back defensively, clearly a bit annoyed she couldn't cut it. "At least let me braid it? It will be easier to carry." She persisted.
Hearing his short story about the teacher dude never giving up on Leo, she understood what life was like before he was treated like an equal. She herself was always bullied no matter where she went or what she did, she was always judged prematurely because of her eyes and face.

He stopped with his arms crossed," Why are so persistent on doing something with my hair?"He asked her. Seriously, Leo had never met someone that wanted to do something to his hair. Of course no one had ever really said anything bad about his either.

"Because it looks like a pain to carry around all the time and maybe that's why your always so grumpy." She argued, mimicking his crossed arms. "Plus how often do you actually wash it." She was trying to prove a point to him more then actually do something to his hair. The point she was trying to get across was that he needn't shut everybody out.

He brought a pale hand to his head,was this really happening? Or was he having some weird day dream? Leo shook his head as if he were saying she was very wrong, all of her guesses couldn't be any further from the ball park. "One, I'm 'grumpy' for other reason that I'd rather not talk about. And two, I wash my hair everyday.."He informed her.
Leo at the low pony hanging over his shoulder,"...and..I can't cut it off...I just can't."

Throwing her hands up in surrender, giggling, Jessebelle let the hair subject drop. "So, how much longer now? We must be almost there."

Leo eyed her for a moment, and then looked away. He was glad to see she seemed to be dealing with all of this so well. Or a lot better than she was when they were at the orphanage. "Hmm, We're almost there...I think."He answered. Which they were getting closer, if they looked really hard they could see a house at the very back of the neighborhood. "Ah, come on, his house is straight ahead."

"Where straight ahead, all I see is darkness." She grumbled, clearly annoyed that they were still walking. He feet hurt, her head hurt, her wrist hurt, and a lot of other things hurt on her from the events of today. All she really wanted to do was lie down and get her wrist in a cast or even a splint, which would probably be a cast.

Leo just sighed in response,"Trust me, we have a little further to go."
Leo was quiet until they got to an old Gothic Victorian house. It was a nice, large house that they stood in front of. The lights were still on,that was a good sign, that meant someone was still awake. "Well, this is Teacher's house."He said to her, and walked up to the front door. He didn't even have to knock, someone seemed to be going out and opened the door before he got the chance to knock.
"Ah, Leo!" A younger teenage boy with messy blonde stood at the door. He had a broad grin.

Smiling in relief when they got to the house, Jessebelle wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. She hid behind Leo when the boy with with messy blonde hair came out, seeming to know Leo. Biting her lip, she flipped her hood up to hide her face to the boy so he wouldn't see how different she was.

"Mathew, it's nice to see you again, kiddo."Leo said, with an actual smile, and ruffled his hair.
The boy named Mathew chuckled softly and then turned to run off. "Hey, mom dad, guess who's here! And he has a girl with him!"He shouted through the small mansion.
Immediately, Leo brought a hand up to his face. "Uhh. "He stepped aside for Jessebelle,"You can go in. and don't hide your self, you literally nothing to hide here."Leo told her. And he was right.
Teacher was an old angel, he could sense what a being was, he could feel what ability they had and see any pain they have endured. Even so, Teacher was a kind old fool.

Her face turning a bright red, she walked inside the small mansion, looking over her shoulder to see if Leo was following. "This..... Is going to be something...... new, isn't it?" She moaned, stopping just inside the doorway to wait for Leo. No way she was going to go inside a house she has never been in without someone familiar at her side.

"...What do you mean by 'new'?"Leo asked, shutting the door behind them. "This way."He said, heading down the hall that lead to a living room and that lead to a study.
Inside the study, as typical, teacher was inside asleep.

"New as new experience." She tried to explain, following Leo though the house and to the study. Once they were at the study, she saw a man asleep in the room. "Is he sleeping?" She asked, smiling a little at the normality of it.

"..I don't think so?"He said, but he still didn't seem sure.
There was a faint smile when Leo say Teacher, he was working too hard again. Very softly Leo knocked on the door frame, nothing. So the next thing to do was walk over and flick him in the nose, it may have seemed mean, but it got him up.
"Ah.."Teacher sat up. He looked like a young man, he tan tan and his black hair was a mess. His emerald green eyes still stood out despite seeming slightly dull with sleep. " Yes?"He said, looking at the two with a small smile.

Flinching a bit when Leo flicked the guy on the nose, she quickly regained her composure and stayed near the doorway. She was unsure if they entered, or if she should just stay there until she was invited in. Staying quiet towards the back, she watched as Leo talked with "teacher."

Teacher's green eyes fell on Jessebelle, and then he stood up. He was a tall man, he towered over the both of them with ease. "..Oh dear,"He held a hand out for her hand," do you mind coming over, little one?"He asked softly. He was keeping his voice down and calm in hopes of showing that he meant no harm.
Leo looked over at her, and then at Teacher. His eyes narrowed in thought. Maybe teacher knew what they were.
