On a fine afternoon, in a park somewhere, a girl of about 15 years old sat under a tree. In her lap, a black fluffy kitten purred as she slowly fell into a deep state of slumber. The girl giggled softly. To many, her appearance made them..curious to say the least. She was as white as snow, and her hair was short, just hanging past her chin. One half of her hair was just as white as her, but the other half was as pink as sweet fluffy icing on a cake. She choose to wear a spring time dress with a little puff in the sleeves and skirt half. She giggled again when the kitten yawned and stretch it little legs.
She flinched when a twig fell from the tree behind her. She looked up, wondering what her bother was doing. Up above was a boy who was sixteen years old. He sat on a branch, with his legs hanging off. Then, he did something that nearly gave the girl a heart attack. He wrapped his legs around the branch, tightly, and then fell back. There was a high pitched scream when the boy swung in front of her. Back and forth, like the swinging of a pendulum.
"Lee!" The girl had cried out. He didn't seem to notice the distress in her voice, either that or he just didn't care. Unfortunately, his younger sister could tell he wasn't listening to her, again.
With a small sniffled, she cradled her kitten, and ran off."Uhh. Lace..Lacie!" Lee called out, but she didn't slow down.
She kept running, and ever so often she would peek over her shoulder to see if Lee was following. Lacie stopped when she ran right into someone. The girl let out a squeak, then back peddled.

Damien was surprised when the girl ran into him and he himself fell back onto the road. looking at the girl he felt bad that he had bumped into her. in all honesty he hadn't been paying attention to where he had been walking either, looking around at this new place he had moved to. at the age of sixteen he stood at five foot five and was a scrawny fellow for his age, his dark blue eyes filled with curiosity. his black hair was short but not neat or buzz cut. "I'm sorry, are you alright?" he asked as he stood up and dusted off his black jeans and t-shirt.
Lacie kept a hold of the kitten squirming in her pale arms, and stared down at him. There was a long silence before she opened her mouth to speak,"...I-I'm alright. Are you?"She said and held out a hand to help him up. She should have been looking where she was going, then this could have been easily avoided. Oh, why did she do things like this.
Damien took her hand and stood up. "thank you. I'm alright too." he said, looking at the girl. despite how much the cat was squirming the girl did seem like a nice person. "I'm Damien. its nice to meet you." he introduced himself, feeling that it would be nice to.
{Sorry, my power went out~}
"You're welcome."She said as she calmed the kitten back down. Soon, she was purring to her little heart content. She then pressed her lips together in deep thought.. Should really be as friendly as he was of become a wall flower. Then again, her brother did upset her with that little stunt. "My name is Lacie."She answered softly.

"well lacie its nice to meet you. I'm kind of new around here so I guess it would be good to make some friends so I know people around here. what are you up to today?" he asked, suddenly curious about this shy looking girl.
Lacie looked at the ground,"..I running from Lee. He's my older brother, but he dose the most awful pranks to trick me!"She told him with a sigh. She knew not to voice her life problems in public, not everyone would want to hear them, but at least it would make a bit more sense of what she was saying. "Speaking of Lee.."Lace said, peeking over her shoulder to see if he was running after her or not. Liam wasn't in sight.
Damien listened the whole time and nodded his head yes to signify he understood. "I've never had any siblings but I've heard stories from old friends and that sounds like something an older brother would do to a younger sibling. would he be following you?"
"Well...I'm not really sure."Lacie said, looking away from Damien. She couldn't hear him, and she didn't see him either. Maybe he decided to stay back at the park? That sounded like Liam ,but at the same time it didn't. He hardly left Lacie's side, call him a protective brother if you want, he wouldn't care. At the same time, if Lace said the wrong thing she would see his darker side.
Damien tilted his head in confusion. "then why are you running? no ones bothering you, are they? or are you lost?" he asked. he'd hate to leave her alone if there was any trouble she might have been going through at the time.
"I ran from him, but I think he's angry now.."Lacie told him. Now she wasn't sure if she wanted to see Lee at all. When he was angry at her for doing things like this he becomes so mean. But what else was she suppose to do, forgive him for making her think he fell out of the tree? Not a chance!
"so what are you going to do then? I'm willing to believe you cant hide from him forever." Damien said. if she needed to he could hide her but he wasn't quite sure what good it would really do.
Lacie gave him a small shrug,"I wasn't going to stay away from him all day. I'm just avoiding him right now. He made me think that he was about to fall out of tree head first."She told Damien, Lace shuddered at the thought of her bother getting hurt. There were somethings too dark in the world for her to handle.
"Oh. Well I see why you would freak out. If I had seen one of my siblings do that it would've freaked me out too." He agreed. "So could I walk back with you then? I'm trying to figure out where everything in town is." He asked, hoping she would say yes.
Lace nodded in agreement, something told her what she did wasn't the best choice. So maybe if she got back before he had to go look for her everything would be fine. "Follow me, the park is this way."She told him, turning to walk towards the park.
Damien nodded an okay and started to walk at the same pace as her towards the park. He was glad he was able to have made a friend so easily and felt confident that this town would be different. Here he doubted he'd be bothered by the normal spirits that seemed to haunt him everywhere he went.
Lacie stopped when a boy slightly taller than her stood in front of her. His black and white hood pulled down over his eyes. "Ahaha, found him.."Lace giggled nervously. She looked at Damien,"This is my brother..Liam."She told him. Then quickly started petting and cooing over the kitten. It was something to ignore her brother's scowl.
Not expecting her brother to be mad, Damien decided to make some decent conversation with him. "Hello there, I'm Damien. I met lacie in the streets a few minutes ago so it's a pleasure to meet her brother." He said with a smile.
Lacie shrink back as Liam took a few steps towards her,"Are you serious? What have I told you about talking to random people, what if he did something to you, dimwit."Lee growled, he flicked her on the nose. The teenager spun around on his heel until he was facing Damien. He lifted his hood up a bit to get a better look,"Yeah..I'm Liam..."He answered, looking him up and down. It was like he was sizing him up.
Lacie winced when her brother flicked her nose, now she was holding back any tears. But some manged to slid down her face despite her efforts. Her kitten reached up to lick the tears away.

Damien watched him flick her in the nose and moved to object. "Hey, it's not her fault! I was the one that started the conversation because I accidentally bumped into her. That wasn't nice to just blame her. As an older brother you should set an example."
