Liam chuckled,"Set an example?"He echoed, arched an eyebrow at the suggestion. He shook his head,"Well, at least you admitted to running into my little sister..hmm, I wonder."He said, walking around Damien. He was so tempted to make him trip, but his sister was giving him the most pathetic puppy eyes ever. "Ah geez, whatever.."He grumbled sliding his hands into his packets.
"..t-thank you for defending me, b-but it's fine, really."She told him.
"..t-thank you for defending me, b-but it's fine, really."She told him.
Damien shook his head no. "We're friends now so I'm gonna stand up for you if anyone messes with you." He said with a smile. He was kind of intimidated by her brother but got the feeling that didn't mean he couldn't stand up for himself if worse came to worse.
Lacie blinked a few times before giggling. She hadn't really had a friend before, well Lee aside. She was a shy little thing after all. Lee looked from his sister to Damien,"Friends hmm?"He echoed, stopping in front of him. "Watch it, friends of not I'll be watching you.."
"Okay then." Damien said when Lee said he'd be watching them, not sure what or why he would do that. Looking at his watch, the young man saw it was three thirty. "Okay then, I have an hour and a half before I have to get ready." He said quietly.
Liam smirked, his red and black eyes not moveing from Damien as he walked around him once more. "Hah, I wouldn't take that so lightly."He replied with a small nod. Then, something else that wasn't Damien had manged to get his attention. A little innocent beetle scuttling across the side walk had an audience of one, and not the type that it liked very much. Lee sort of nudged the beetle with the two of his shoe. It moved much faster.
All Lacie could really do was laugh softly with pure uncertainty. Ever now and a then she would look at her kitten, who was fast asleep, nestled in her arms. "Hmm?"She looked at Damien with curiosity. It didn't take long for Liam to look away from the beetle and look at him as well. "Get ready for what?"Lace asked him.

Damien looked up at lacie when he realised he hadn't really told her anything along the lines as of what his job was. "Oh, I have to go home and get ready for work. I have a rather unique job actually, I-" Damien stopped himself when he realised what he was about to tell her and imagined the responses he'd get from admitting it. As one who was able to see spirits he was often hired by people to either speak with their relative who had passed on or to get rid of a ghost. As far as the latter was concerned, he wasn't really good with getting them to go away but he did end up at least coaxing them out of the person's house and then they'd haunt him for at least a week at a time before leaving. At least depending on what kind of spirit it was. If it was one brought about because of a person's emotions or personality he would sometimes tell them what needed to be Changed or would let them figure it out for themselves.
Lacie tilted her head, then looked over at Liam,"Ah, a secret. That can be problematic,Damien ."Liam said, standing up. There was a valid to reason why he didn't trust many people, humans were unpredictable. That was something he learned when he was younger, they also had a bad habit of hiding things. "Soooo, what is it your not saying?"
Damien scratched the back of his head. "Well, nothing really. It's just that I guess if I told you what my job is, you'd probably think I was really strange. Then again, most people I tell think it's odd and even clients find my ability a bit..... Wierd I think is how they always put it." He said, looking down at his shoes.
(This is probably short notice but could we do a romance between lacie and Damien?)
Lacie and Liam exchanged looks that screamed 'only if he knew'. Lee had been talking most of the time, and none of it seemed like innocent chit chat either. So, Lacie figured it was time she did the talking rather than her brother."How weird can it be? We deal with some odd stuff are selves.."She told him.
{Well, if we did it would certainly fir the title. Because Liam doesn't let his baby sister go easily.}
Damien sighed and decided to let the truth flow forth. After all if they were to be friends he shouldn't be quick to lie. "Okay, people hire me as someone who can speak to spirits or ghosts. A psychic essentially, only I don't hold seances and I'm usually called on by normal people and not establishments like eateries and things. I can see spirits too, so that helps. Sometimes though a spirit will attach itself to someone like a leech and feed off of someone's personality traits, emotions, or bad habits. I'm just asked to come in to help them deal with it."
(So is that a yes or a no? Sorry, I was kind of confused.)

Liam tilted his head, so did Lacie. To them things like that were very normal, well, they didn't do anything about it. For one, Lee always thought it was interesting, and Lacie never thought it would be lady like to tell some stranger spirirt to stop what the spirirt happens to be doing. "Ah."Liam said with a small nod. "..ahah, t-that not that weird, it's a talent."She replied cheerfully.
{Sure, we can have a little romance between the two..}

Damien smiled at them, surprised that they seemed to find it commonplace. But oh well, he was glad they had taken it so well and didn't freak out or make fun of him like some people did. "Yeah, I was hired by an elderly woman while I was moving because I had asked the assistance of the ghost of a construction worker who had fallen off of the roof of the house I'm living in. Seeing that she asked me how I did it and I explained myself, causing her to ask Me if I could help her speak to her deceased husband." He explained what he was doing later.
There seemed to be a small idea that sparkled in Liam's eyes. "Ohh, well how about we join you, hmm? Just to see if he's telling the truth or not."He said with a small shrug. In truth, he knew that Damien really did deal with spirits, it was written all over him.
Lacie almost dropped her kitten."Lee!"She cried out, but he paid no attestation.

Damien blushed out of modesty and embarrassment and looked at the two of them. " Are you sure? Trust me it's not as interesting when you can't see them from what I've been told and I have yet to meet someone else who can see them. But I guess I see no harm in you guys coming."
Liam smirked,"Right, no harm at all."He said with a small shrug.
Lace was still staring at her brother in disbelief. She didn't like seeing ghosts, there would be times she could see all the pain they went through.."..Y-yeah. It sounds fun!" She said, trying to sound as cheerful as poissble.

Damien grinned at the fact that they would be coming with him. Part of him got the feeling lacie didn't want to really go, but he wasn't exactly sure. For all he knew he might've been over thinking everything. "Well, I guess you could come to my house with me and wait while I change and then we can head out once I'm done."
They nodded, although Liam didn't understand why he would have to change into something for that kind of job. Was it to look professional? He didn't know, and he wasn't about to ask such a childish question. Not when Lacie was the first one to ask him that,"..why are you going to change?"She asked him, petting the sleeping kitten in her arms.
"I have to look professional. Although I guess what I wear normally for my job a bit over professional." Damien said, thinking about the normal fancy looking clothes he wore to a job along with his top hat. To anyone he probably looked overdressed but to him it was just the clothes of the job.
