I'm wondering, are there enough people who play Sims characters that the site can justify using a Sims icon for the game tag?
Two questions:
1. Do you actually RP in the Sims? I know there was a Sims online some years ago, but other than that, all versions of the Sims that I've enjoyed have been single player .
2. Do you actually use the game universe of the Sims in order to do your RP? Or is it just a way to create character models? Although the Sims does have a tiny bit of "lore" (every version has "the Goth Family" and they have a tiny bit of standardized history), it's not to my knowledge a "universe" like the Harry Potter verse or the Star Wars verse or the Elder Scrolls verse that allows for cannon-style RP.
Since Game Tags are meant to enable people who RP in a certain game/universe to find one another so they can RP together, those two are usually the criteria I'd look for for an official "game tag" icon being added.

I've never roleplayed with another person in the Sims, but I always consider it a roleplaying game because that's kind of what you do in a simulator, right? I put it into the same category as TES, which was singleplayer until TESO came out.

I've done this in the past and I intend to do it with Coral too. There are standard families in every game and every expansion that exist and have their own premade stories that I've played with. There are career paths, lifetime wishes and so forth that I give to my characters that they pursue and I generally also use the pre-existing towns as references for the world my characters play in. Basically, I use the world as it is (with minor modifications such as owning a property and having a custom built house) and roleplay it with others through text. The world is definitely dynamic and not always the same (story progression allows NPCs to develop differently every time you create a new game) but there's a certain level of consistency that I utilize a lot.
Don't worry though, if an icon for the Sims isn't a good idea then it isn't a good idea. I've roleplayed Sims outside of RPR previously so there's a good chance I'm alone in this on the site. If this isn't possible I'll just make a group with an icon myself. I actually may just do that anyway, see if there are Sims enthusiasts that want to play!
