Lee, her words stung as they rolled off her lips. To the Far Horn Empire he was known as Prince York, or Young Emperor York. But to his father he was Lee, that's how he had thought of the name in the first place. It hurt to hear her call him that but it was smarter this way. "Good job," he gave her a fake smile and followed her around, into the book shop and all around the village. He even checked out a local pet store, he bought a beautiful Red Jay. He sat with it a while, while Yuu explored the shops and things. When she arrived back he pushed the pretty bird into the sky releasing it. "Ready for the feast now," he asked, pretty hungry himself.
Yuu looked around the shops, nothing really peaked her interest. The only thing she bought was the book. She wouldn't have even bought that if her mom hasn't constantly told her to study. There was really no point in it now.... Though it would feel wrong to stop. Later, she found York and smiled. "Yes, that sounds great." She said while walking to where the feast was laid out. Something didn't seem right though. The food seemed a darker color and the smell was weird. Maybe it was just herself? But she knew something was wrong. She looked at York and whispered. "I think they're trying to poison us." She said quietly and looked back at the food concerned.
Rams had already dug in, mash potatoes and loafs of bread filled his face. It's wasn't until his third or fourth helping he noticed the weird taste as soon as he bit into the fruit. "Ru Aye Bwe Wigh," York mumbled food still poking out of his face. The taste was too sweet for the apple. No fruit was this sweet, but the more he chewed the sweeter it got. Pricker Berries were an almost nut like fruit that was eaten by bugs of all sorts, and while extremely good for them it was toxic for humans and animals alike. "Can someone without a soul even get poi..." He was plagued by a strange dizziness and spit out his food, "who the hell are u people?"
The dwarves looked at the boy strangely, and as one began to come out to help York a dwarf fell over, then another. Someone was poisoning the Dwarves but who? York and Yuu just happened to be there, at the feast paid for by, uh oh. A Far Horn Knight walked out of the kitchen, this is what happens when you refuse to pay the Emperor's tax! Your entire meal has been poisoned, the guard laughed as a half dozen men all around the village were telling other groups of dwarves the same thing. Next time just pay it or you will end up with more then a few casualties...

Yuu watched with wide eyes as York helped himself to more food. "Y-you idiot! Didn't you just hear what I said?!" She asked but it was no use. York [*] were already unconscious. "Dammit." Yuu muttered as she moved the food away from him. Yuu heard the knight and clenched her fists in anger. How dare he poison these people. Because of that, you had to suffer for it. Yuu couldn't hold in her burning hatred anymore as she ran over to the knight. "That was an unfair move. It truly shows how selfish and idiotic you are. Since you got my friend poisoned because of this and you were willing to kill innocent people, I won't forgive you." She said and smirked. She took out a hunters knife and laughed. "Killing worthless scum like you will make my day."
The three or four dwarves that had stuffed there face were dead already, those who hadn't eaten so fast or had only begun to fill their plate, were fine, and would be fine. Maybe a bad stomach ache is all. But Rams was on the verge of death himself. If only he were bigger his liver could process the poison. But he wasn't conscious anymore so he was surely going to die. It was all up to Yuu, if she let her rage get the best of her and attacked the men who were walking away York would die, but if she tried to help get him awake with water and slaps then he may be able to figure this out. It is all up to You... and Yuu.
Yuu glared at the knights as they walked away. She gripped her knife and was about to run after them but quickly stopped herself. She saw that some of the dwarfs were toppling over dead. They were smaller so they couldn't handle the poison easily. Was that what would happen to York? Yuu cursed under her breath and glared at the knights. She wouldn't forgive this. She quickly ran back to York and looked around. What could she do? What could she do? She quickly shook him and slapped his face. She needed to hurry up and get the food out of him. She sighed slightly, but acted quickly as she shoved her finger in his mouth. Causing him to puke up his poisoned food. She looked at her hand and shivered slightly in disgust, she would wipe the puke off later. She shook York, hoping to get a reaction or something. Showing that he was alive.
Puke spilled out of the boys stomach and mouth, his throat burned and he opened his eyes slightly. He looked around at the dead dwarves and the crying dwarves. They died already? And Yuu, Yuu saved him, "Thanks," York choked, his eyes started to blur again how could he survive? "He realized that the Dwarves were dying because they were so small and he would die soon too, unless he made his body bigger! He began to crawl towards the door, he couldn't transform here. "Outside," he whispered as the world around him began to close in, "need to transform..."
Yuu widened her eyes in surprise as he woke up. To be honest, half of her thought that he wouldn't make it. Though she was happy that he wasn't dead, they couldn't celebrate just yet. She quickly wrapped one arm on his side and quickly helped him go outside. So far, she knew that he could only turn into a gorilla. Would that be enough? Even so, she was able to help him outside as she began to panic slightly. "Alright, you're outside. Hurry up and change!" She yelled, they needed to do this quick so the poison wouldn't seep in.
The boy slumped to his back, he pushed his fists together softly. He was not strong enough to hit them together with the force he needed to turn. The poison took over once more and Ramsley's eyes closed once more. Vomit drying on his shirt, eyes rolled back in his head, liver working harder then it ever had before he died. York was dead. In these next few seconds it would be decided not only the fate of the boy, but wether or not Yuu would be able to get her soul back. And a bit farther forward in time... The fate if the entire Far Horn. Darkness surrounded the boy, no soul meant no reincarnation, no after life, no next step, next story, no anything. Don't let me die! Rams screamed from inside his hollow bodies consciousness.
Yuu widened her eyes as she felt her blood run cold. She saw that he was now dead. She felt tears come down her face as she shook slightly. Why did everyone have to die? Everyone she knew died. Her family now... She quickly wiped her face as she shook her head. She wouldn't accept this so easily... She would get Relic... She would kill him. If they never had their souls stolen, this wouldn't have happened. She didn't want to do this alone anymore though. She made his hands into fists and hit them together, a pitiful attempt to make him come back to life. Though eventually, she just stopped and covered her face with her hands. The knights, that soul stealing bastard... they were all going to die.
A light exploded as the boy was thrown back into life. The pure force of the animal form pushing itself to take shape brought him back grey rough skin replaced Rams and an Elephant burst into the middle of the yellow sanded streets of the Dwarven people. The liver began pumping and within moments the poison was gone. The fact that he died must have reset his animal powers. And his subconscious must have known a gorilla wouldn't have been big enough to save him. The elephant howled through it's trunk and winked at Yuu, "let's take these bastards to hell!" Elephant York yelled, he charged forward and stabbed one of the escaping knights in the back with one of his tusks. Following the act the beast whipped its neck throwing the impaled knight into a building.
Yuu widened her eyes when she saw York instantly turn into an elephant. She smiled happily and nodded. "Right!" She yelled as she ran towards the escaped knights. She was going to enjoy this messy, but sweet revenge. She held her hunting knife close as she stabbed one straight in the back of the neck. An easy, quick death. Though none of them deserved that kind of death, she wasn't the kind to torture. She ran up to the next knight and quickly did the same thing, ending his life quick.
Elephant York reared as two of the knights turned around and began shooting arrows at him. He bided his time for a moment looking for the correct angle. Once they stood the perfect distance apart the elephants trunk roared out of trunk and thrusted forward stabbing into the guts of both of the archer knights at once. Tossing them straight up in the air, his trunk wrapped around one of their ankles throwing him into a troff of water. The water turned red in an instant. The other knight landed on the hit a few tree branches and escaped into the wild as York and Yuu concentrated on the last knight.
The bloody archer knight however limped away. He would escape and barely make it back to Emperor Haru. He would then tell him of the prince and how he took out five knights. Therefore declaring war on the Far Horn. This may be a problem, especially since he should have died. And actually the knight did die upon reaching the next town. Relic tilted his head, stealing the soul of the knight but giving him back his life. You will get a sweet reward from a Emperor Haru my friend, I swear it! The knight then presumed to lead Relic back to the emperor.
Yuu heard York handling the other knights easily. At least that showed that he was feeling somewhat better. She looked around and saw that there was one last knight, she gripped her knife concentrating hard. She quickly ran towards him at her abnormal speed. The knight raised his sword in fear, but Yuu dodged it just I'm time. Not expecting the knight to react that quickly, she felt burning pain in her shoulder. Though she didn't dare look at it because she knew that would make it worse. She ran up and jabbed her knife into his neck. The knight choked and fell to the ground dead. Yuu sighed and walked back to York. "How are you feeling?" She asked.
York shifted back into his human form, "feeling much better, thank you." He hadn't gotten a good look at the girl yet. He headed straight for the two knights he hadn't killed. An angry dwarf mob capture the first one and tied him up and the other one was still in the troff. Rams approached the other one, how dare you as he walked forward he counted and by the time he had reached sixty. He hit his fists together and brought a heavy gorilla fist down into the knight creating a small explosion of blood. The gorilla turned and reached for the other one picking him up.
The knight was crying, please, Prince York, please don't kill me! Rams father would, without even hesitating. But York had had his revenge, "it's not up to me wether you live or die." Gorilla York dropped the body back into the mitts of the Dwarven people. He transformed back, as soon as he saw Yuu, "your bleeding!" The sword gash was hard and drilled into her with a great amount of force that the sword was sticking out of her shoulder.

Yuu leaned against the tree as she watched the dwarfs deal with the last night. Dwarfs could be terrifying once they were in large crowds. She looked up at York confused and then looked at her arm. "Oh, you're right. It'll heal." She said while shrugging. If you ignore the pain, it wasn't there. Then she wouldn't slow them down. "How are you? Didn't you just eat four plates of poison?" She asked while walking up to him and crossing her arms.
York grabbed the hilt of the sword, "sorry girlie." He pushed his foot rather gently against her torso and pulled the blade out. He dropped it and jumped towards her as she fell, half catching her. He pulled his shirt off tying it around her wound. "It'll heal," he smile sarcastically mocking her slightly. "How do you figure that?" The green shirt was stained red by now and York was pushing harder on it and he could see it wasn't pleasant for her. "You know you asked for this, save me and I just have to save you." The space around the two of them was quiet other then the screams of the last knight being dragged away, "it's only fair."
Yuu widened her eyes. "Wait n-!" It was too late, he pulled the sword out. She screamed in pain as she fell backwards. She felt him catch her and wrap something around her wound. She was in too much pain to care. She buried her face in his arm."I-i-i didn't ask y-you to help m-me..." She mumbled in pain as she bit her lip hard as she whimpered softly and tried to use her usual trick of blocking out the pain and ignoring it, but it wasn't working.
He pulled her close, and held her tight. The dwarves around the two had watched them help the village but had also heard the knights call him Prince York. They knew who he was, but were conflicted on who's side he was on... Finally a doctor pushed threw and began rubbing Trolls Jam on her wound. It was an advanced healing medicine, made of, never mind that but it does heal bigger cuts like this one. Rams held the girl tight as the doctor worked. And for a best with a hot temper he was rather soothing, "it'll be ok," he whispered to her, "stop screaming, I'm here." The doctor eventually took her back to his little home and stitched up the wound. But Rams never left her side. They were in this together after all.
