A cold lifeless body lay in bits and pieces blown up, torn up, and spit up by some sort of monster. These mountains are a dangerous place, and the figure standing above can't decided what killed the body before him. Apart from the beasts of myth, as far as Races go Anubi were the rarest. Humans, elves, dwarves, Bearons, dragonoids, shift shapers, Wabbaloqs, they all littered these lands, but not Anubies'. And apart from most magical beings they can not cast spells or conjure up potions of sorts. They can't turn into anything special or manipulate an element.
Relic was the name of this Anubi, head of a jackal body of a man he is from the far western reaches of the Blade Lands. Over the Katana Mountains in the dry lands. Deserts and sand fill this part if the other wise mountainous land, but it has been centuries since his land has fallen. But as a Anubi, Relic doesn't age he is immortal to time, but can be taken by steel, which brings us back to the power of Rahsun the single god of the dry lands.
Relic could bring people back to life, if he could collect every rotten bloody piece of flesh, and bone, and organ tissue he could bring you back. Just a bit of humming and growling at the hands of death and you could be brought back as many times as you died. Over and over and over again, this could be helpful or tormenting. But thanks to the sheer curiosity to find out what sort of beast mangled the body in front of him up so bad Relic was going to bring it back.
A few incantations a bit of shimmering black sand from his small pouch stained in a single drop of Relic's blood and a dark light began to seep into the air and with a flash of golden rays a dead body now awoken. Unable to speak Relic tilted his head sideways as if asking what killed you?

Yuu walked through the dark abyss that she suspected was death. Though, she was hoping that she would survive somehow... she had to accept the facts. Was she just going to wander around this dark plain? Was this death? Though she saw a light ahead. Was that where she was supposed to go? She wasn't going to just stand here. She ran towards the light and was soon surrounded by it. She opened her eyes slightly and looked up. "Who..... are you?"
The man was silent heavy breathing could be heard under his helmet. The creature held in his hand a glowing white orb the size of a hand ball. He fist closed around the orb and it vanished into a puff of shining smoke that drifted into the helmet as the man beast inhaled. The girls soul was taken in exchange for her life, it wasn't necessary but Relic was rather obsessed with the way souls tasted. His head tilted to the side as he pointed at the gashes on the trees and the strange animal tracks all around where the girl had died. It was as if he was asking what killed you?
Yuu wondered why he didn't talk yet, though he was terrifying. She wouldn't ignore that fact. She sat up and looked around. Memories flooding her head instantly as she rubbed her temple. "Why the hell should I tell you?" She asked, giving her usual attitude even in the face of death. She sat up and made herself stand up even though she was a bit wobbly. She looked up and saw the man was much...much taller then she first thought, though she couldn't back down.
Relic grunted, his curiosity had been wasted, it was rather unfortunate but it mattered not, he did get another soul. The giant soul snatcher back handed the insolent girl and began to walk off. He had left her with her life and for that she should be grateful, stupid child, he thought to himself. His fist broke threw the trunk of a near by tree as the giant villain, it fell away from him as he walked off not looking back at the little ingrate. Relic growled, what an uneventful morning and a waste of time and precious soul sand.
Yuu fell to the ground after he back handed her. Dammit... she muttered in her head as she got up. He was strong too, she was trying to keep in awake instead of going unconscious. He really did get her good. She bit her lip as she walked to him. She didn't want to back to him. She didn't care that he just slapped her silly, she was curious now. "Why did you bring me back? Was it just to figure out what killed me?" She asked as she clenched her hands.
He grinned under his helmet and turned his head and nodded. Often what he did was all for curiosity, he was the spawn of a demon and a poor slave woman cursed by a corrupt ruler. So he himself had the potential to be good and feed on the souls of trees and such but just simply chose not to. After the nod he turned and continued to walk away. The girl could choose to tell him or she could choose not to, up to her, but it was curiosity of this fact that caused the demon son to bring her back so it would be polite to tell him her killer.
Yuu looked away and crossed her arms. "Well, that's a stupid reason." She muttered and looked at the ground. "Though, if you must know.... I don't know... the stupid bastard cowards came at me from behind when I was trying to find my way out of these stupid parts." She mumbled and looked around at the scenery. "Sorry to be a disappointment though you don't talk much, do you?" She asked, now interested in what he was and how he brought her back.
Picking up the belongings he had dropped when he had first discovered her he shook his head. She was not worthy to hear his voice, it may in fact destroy her to hear the words from his mouth escape. He tossed a small sack, only a bit bigger then the one on his belt, behind him. He then disappeared into the trees. This would not be the last time she saw him, Relic had a way of being easy to find when you were willing to trade something to save a friend. After he found out it was man who did this he was a bit disappointed with himself for bring her back for just that, stupid.
Yuu looked down at the sack that he through. She crossed her arms and looked away. "Thanks.... for bringing me back." She muttered before he left and went back to the spot where she was killed. She saw footprints. Too large to be her own, did her killer do this? Well, she was about to find out. She ran a hand through her hair and walked off where the footsteps lead. She would get revenge for her death. But she felt like there was something more to that guy who saved her..... what was he hiding? What did he get out of saving her? He didn't seem like the type to do it off of warm hearted kindness. Was it all truly just curiosity?.....
A knight rushed out of the forest and pointed a sword at the girl, "where is he?" the knight shouted. Obviously beaten up by the same bandit group that had walked all over her the knight was wearing shining armor stained with red. "Young Emperor York," the knight panted, "his soul was taken by..." The knight collapsed basically falling on his sword from the pain of his last fight. The knight was sworn to defend the young emperor, it was just them two traveling to help him train in the wild with a honorable partner like Sir Charles.
The boy had killed most of the bandits but had died during the raid himself trying to protect his knight friend. But when Relic walked along he had taken the boys soul in exchange for his life just like he had the girl. The boy lay just through the brush with some moaning bandits. This one mystic boy only around sixteen killed almost two dozen warriors! How? And would Yuu help him get their souls back?? The boys eyes opened slowly, "Char?" But he was alone in this forest, other then the girl a quarter mile out.

*sigh* danmit, it's up to me)
Yuu held up her hands to the knight. "Hey what the hell do you think you're doing? I don't know!" She yelled as the knight collapsed. She shook her head and sighed. Damn..... he landed on his sword... he said that he was looking for an emperor.... did that mean that they were attacked. "Dammit!" She yelled in rage, mostly aimed at herself for not being there to at least help. She began to look around for Relic. If he could bring her back to life, he would be able to save whoever died. Hopefully he would be curious as to what killed them too. "Relic! Relic!" She yelled as age ran, looking for him.

A girl ran up to York, "who the hell are you?" The boy struggled to stand, surrounded by bandits bloodied and unconscious. Horns poked out of the young emperors head above his ears. They each curved into a nice spiral, and were someone covered by his hair, but not really. His cloths were a bit torn up but not too bad, "where's Char?" Rams looked around, "my knight, Sir Char..." He focused on the girl, be fore a huge head ache came over him, soullessness was effecting him bad. "My knight, he was looking for something for me... he said he'd be right back but..."
The boy stumbled over clutching his head. But his will power was strong and he stood again, "my... my soul..." He clutched his chest area and a tear fell from his eye, "That damn healer stole my god damn soul!!!" He looked at the girl and turned his face away. No girl should have to see an emperor, even a young one, crying.

Yuu nodded and backed away. "I'll get it okay! I'll try! I'll try to find him! I'll try to get your soul back!" Dammit! Everyone was relying on her. She didn't even know them, though she wanted to help them. She didn't want to see the jerk that backhanded her again, but she had to. But where the hell could he have gone? That's when he noticed one was crying. "Hey, it's alright. I'll find him okay, I'll try to get your soul back." She said, though it was obvious he was trying hide that fact. Dammit.... She was too nice sometimes....
One of the bandits was crying, "he only stole my soul, not his." The boy took the mans sword and knocked him in the temple with it. He shoulda killed him but he wasn't the cruel type like his father. Rams bet his father had hired these poor souls to try and kill him. "And by the way, shut up girl!" York was annoyed the way she was acting, all high and mighty like she was the only one who could take down the jackal man. But finally on his feet he saw that the girl's eyes were only white, no pupils. That's what it looked like when your soul is taken, because the eyes are the windows to the soul the man musta got hers too! "Damn, he got your soul too," Rams felt bad for her now, "names Rams, Rams York... How about you?"
Yuu glared at the boy. "What the hell?! I'm only trying to help you!" She screamed back. That man was a brat. Not only that, but didn't he just kill someone? Well, that wasn't really her business, but that gave him no reason to be rude like that. Though when he told her that her soul was taken, she cursed under her breath. "I knew he got something out of this, you don't bring someone back to life without gaining anything..." She mumbled while clenching her hands. Dammit.... now she sees why he was crying.....She heard his question, but kept avoiding his gaze. "... Yuu..."
Rams hadn't been crying, despite his young age the young emperor had been knocked around more then this. Well not to the point of death but that wasn't the point, he was strong willed and stubborn, he hated when people judged him for being rich like he had been fed with a silver spoon or something. He had been abused, bad by his father Haru York. And now he was finally free of the wretched man and he went and got his soul stollen. "If you wanna wrestle with me we can wrestle!"
Rams was more of a hot head then even this bratty chick, the chemistry between the two was like gasoline and matches. It was hard to say which was which at this point but all that could be said was a big explosion would most likely occur. Not to mention Rams special powers. If he created enough focused force by doing something like punching his two fists together, he was able to transform himself into any mortal animal. From mammals and reptiles, to birds and fish. He could stay in these forms for up to about five minutes and had to switch back into his human form before transforming again.
If this girl was planning on pushing him to it Rams would take her down! Unknown to him though, since his soul had been taken he would be limited to one form transformation. He has no idea that the next beast he becomes will be the only one he can change into until he gets his soul back... If he gets his soul back.

Yuu could tell that he has a lot to think about. Not that it was her problem. She just wanted her soul back, then she could go on her merry way. Now, she had some spoiled kid to take care of. Not only that, but it was obvious that this kid had something against her when she didn't do anything to him but help! "Do you have a problem with me?" She asked while crossing her arms. It was too easy to tell that he didn't like something about her. She wasn't changing herself for some spoiled brat that got his soul taken. She would help him because that was just the kind of person she was, but if he had a problem with her. She thought they should deal with it now rather then later.
"Kinda, you act like your better then me," he scoffed, "you have to cool your lava and respect me." Some more words were said likening her to a female mutt, and more such cusses. This was an attempt to edge her on, he was pretty positive he could beat her in a fight, after all he was the cockiest kid he knew. "And further more," he started, "i feel you have a problem with me as well so why dont you get someone to hold your earrings and lets do this thing," he called her a girlie dog once more and prepared his fists for a transformation.
Yuu felt her clench her fists tightly as she glared at him. "There's no way in hell that I could just respect a spoiled brat like you. You have to earn it." She said and she felt her rage boil over as she grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer. She had to look up to send the glare that could burn the Devil to him. "I want you to insult me again. I swear I'll kick your ass. Unlike you, I have experience at this other then a loose mouth like yours. Do you think you could actually win a fight against me?" She asked, she didn't care how intimidating he might look, if he kept treating her like this she was going to boil over with rage. How dare he? After all, she was trying to help him! She hated spoiled kids.
