Sold, once again by an insolent fool how had promised to help him be human again. This time to a slue of gipsies and bandits how lived far to the south, a bit west of Loqwood too. He had been trapped nearly a hundred and fifty years in this spell book form and had grown very tired of the rules and restrictions of his magical abilities. And each time he was handed off he was put into the hands of weirder and weirder people. He felt like a damn slave, and this time the name of his owner was Relic, some really muscular guy who never took off his jackal looking helmet.
"You know these chains aren't nessisary, I can't open the book unless a mortal opens my pages. I can't float away very quickly and I can't cast without one of you." Bathe's words spoke true, "this is just so undignified..." But his captors were silent. It would be a long trip, but little did he know that he was about to meet someone he would never forget.

It was rare for Cady to wander away from her home. The blind girl with heterochromatic eyes didn't know how to survive in places that she wasn't familiar with. But, she'd been surprised by a wolf outside her home in the evening, and in her panic had run through the forest. Now, she was lost and alone, blindly trying to find her way. Several times, she tripped, falling painfully, leaving herself bruised.
The next time she fell, someone pulled her to her feet and hollered to someone else. "Look what I found!" He held the girl up for the leader of the group to see. She struggled a little, her blind eyes fixed on some point in the distance.
Little did the traveling group know that they were being followed.

The giant man looked at the tracks, the werewolf was near. The caravan hand been hunting her for a while, by the tracks he could tell the werewolf was female. Their fur was extremely rare and would go for a high price. Relic, we are being followed. Relic nodded and turned, he headed towards the back of the caravan and observed the strange girl walk towards them. Under his helmet Relic smiled, she was pretty and people payed a great deal for beautiful young female slaves. A werewolf and a free slave in the same week would be very very profitable for his people.
The girl stood before him and his hand touch the side of her face, and he stroked her softly. He would get the pleasure to make sure she was trained well before sold. A short grunt let her know she shouldn't resist. If she did he would break her neck? And the best part, he was a resurrector. He could kill anyone and bring them back as many times as he wished as long as he had every bloody piece. His other hand sat at his side as he gripped her hair tightly smelling the girl, she was his property now.

Being lifted made Cady panic. Blindly she tried to get away, but she was held tightly and set before the leader of the caravan. When her face was touched, she held her breath. Having her hair gripped made her tremble. She was frightened to speak, and couldn't see to know who had caught her. What was going to happen to her now?
The second man waved a hand before the girl's face. "Blind." He grumbled. Well, that explained how she'd not known to run from them.

As for the werewolf? She was hiding in the forest, trying to keep clear of the caravan. They'd been on her tail for too long. And it was getting frustrating. She hated being followed. And she had an inkling of why she was being followed. Turning and running deeper into the woods, she raced into thicker areas of bushes and trees, retreating further into the darkness of the forest.
Relic let down the girl and grabbed her wrist aggressively Pulling her along until she tripped then he continued to drag her until he realized she had fallen. He yanked her to her feet and continued. Once at the front of the group she shackled her to the back of the first wagon in line next to another slave, this one was a book, chained and inside a small wooden cage. The man pushed his finger into the girls mouth and then removing it before she had the chance to bite down. A small scoff came from inside the thick metal helmet before he took his place at the front to the group. What a lucky day, he thought to himself. He waved his arm forward and two warriors sprinted forward disappearing into the forest.
Being half-dragged made Cady go limp in fear. She didn't really know what was going on. But it couldn't be good. When she was shackled in place, she struggled a little against the chains, frightened. Having a finger shoved into her mouth was strange and terrifying. Balking, she tried to get it out of her mouth, but then it was removed. Shaking, she blindly reached one hand and bumped the cage. Withdrawing her hand, she felt even more worried about what was going to happen to her.
"Watch where you are flailing," Bathe said trying to get a laugh out of the stranger. As bad and as bleak as life looked for him, he wouldn't be treated like she was going to be. He felt bad for her, and this was odd because he felt bad for no one but himself. "Are you blind girl?" Bathe asked noticing how she was still unable to find footing yet. He wanted to help her but he was still chained shut, "I'm Bathe, what's your name?"
The warriors and gipsies looked strangely at the talking face on the cover of the thick leather book. He figured she couldn't see him so he could have a normal conversation with a human like he used to be. On the other hand how could he have a normal talk with a blind slave who was going to be tortured and taken advantage of. "Lovely weather," Bathe was trying his best to keep her spirits up.

Struggling, she tried to escape. Hearing a voice, she stiffened. "S-sorry." One foot found a spot to rest on the back of the wagon and she calmed down slightly. "Yes..." She mumbled in response to his question, feeling ashamed. "Cady. I'm Cady." Once she'd been the daughter of a noble, but that was a long time ago. Unaware of the strange nature of the person talking to her, she spoke to him as she would any person. His mention of the weather earned a wry smile. "I can't see it. But it feels nice. Is the sun shining?"
Synthia went where the highest bidder told her to. And today, her target was a band of gypsies. Why? The person who hired her wanted a book that was in the possession of the caravan. That would be easy enough for her.
As soon as she saw them take a girl captive, she lost her patience with them. These people weren't going to live long. And she wasn't alone here. Motioning with one finger, the other mercenaries that were hiding with her let their first volley of arrows lose, killing and injuring several of the gypsies. With their presence announced, the ones who preferred closer range combat emerged from the bushes, wielding weapons. Most of them started by destroying wagon wheels and disposing of the first few to attempt to retaliate.
Synthia was on top of a wagon in the blink of an eye and taunted the leader. "Hey, Dog-face!"

Relic knelt down and pulled the arrow out of one of his better fighters, he dipped his hand into a sack on his belt. Sprinkling black shiny sand on the dead warriors face. The bandit leader growled and the man awoke from his death, Thank you Relic. The man drew his sword and cut down one of the mercenaries. Another came from behind and stabbed Relic through the heart from behind before a gipsies arrow pierced the mercenaries heart. Relic's follower pulled the sword out of his back and Relic nodded, hearing the woman's voice he looked over and growled. This was not the first time he was dealing with a mercenary or an assassin. He opened his hand and a gipsy tossed him a long spear, he caught it and pointed it at her.
Necromancers. Oh joy. If only they'd told her that. Synthia kept a cool head and smirked. "Aw. Poor puppy. Looks like you got a boo-boo. Want me to kiss it for you?" She laughed, keeping an eye on his spear. Just had to keep things in chaos for a moment longer. Swinging her sword, she disposed of a gypsy that got too close to her.
In the chaos, the chains around both the girl and the wooden cage were disposed of and they were whisked away in the conflict. But Synthia held her ground, keeping the gypsies distracted a bit longer. She leapt down from the wagon and moved to engage the leader, booting one of his men out of the way with her foot. Just a little longer...

Having her chains broken was startling, and the next thing she knew someone was carrying her really fast. Then, a wooden cage was put into her hands and she was set on a horse in front of a stranger, and the stranger took off riding a high speeds. It was all she could do to hold onto the cage in her hands.
Bathe's cage was broken and he flipped onto the ground. No longer tethered to anything he was still strung up in metal keeping him shut and weighing him down. "Damn," he said watching the man bring back people from the dead. This was no normal necromancer, the people he brought back weren't zombies but actual people again! "How the hell does that work?" Bathe said in confusion as he watched mercenaries and gipsies tear each other apart. The horse road off and a man picked him up, "please be a mercenary, please be a..." It was not, he was taken away from sight as Relic and Synthia began to engage.
The rider was shot in the back and suddenly Cady was sent tumbling. Stunned and frightened, she lay still, uncertain what to do now. She couldn't see. And she didn't know where anyone or anything was aside from hearing the fighting in the distance.
Relic was enraged, he sent a spear threw another assassin before throwing the mans limp body into another. He motioned forward and a barbarian grabbed the book as the little blind slave ran, blood rained onto the ground and Relic watched the out numbered mercenaries fall. One escaped on horseback with the blind slave girl and another began to flee backwards but the woman stood her ground. A grunt came from the helmet as the man rushed the woman, If she was going to take his little slave girl she would be the one to replace her. And he would see to it that he would be the one to break her in.
Synthia wasn't about to lose. She dodged, rolling under a wagon and getting to her feet on the other side. The book. Dammit!
It was at this point that the werewolf came tearing out of the woods and started shredding gypsies and mercenaries alike. This of course sent things into further chaos. Pissed at being chased, it jumped the helmeted man from behind and tore its teeth into his back.
She had to work fast. Synthia blinded the barbarian with the book with a flash of light as she killed the only other gypsy between herself and him. Then, she ran him through and snagged the book. After that, she ran. Cowardly? Maybe. But it was her job to get this book, and she wasn't about to mess it up. Moving fast, she saw the blind girl and the riderless horse. Right. Change of plans. She caught the girl with one hand setting her on the horse and handing her the book. "Get out of here." Breaking the chain on the book with a swift and careful swing of her sword, she then slapped the horse, sending it running with its precious cargo.

The book looked back and the gipsies, warriors and barbarians were still chasing them on horse back. "Break the chains, open me!" He yelled to the random woman who was actually saving him. Like he had just been noticing he always went from weird to weirder, at least this was rather exiting. Once she had he be gan to yell again, "open my pages and I'll take care of the rest!"
The book squirmed a bit, he was happy to see the girl had been taken along too but was unhappy that the half dozen assassins had been killed brutally by barbarian and wolf alike. What a very odd week for him, and probably the girl too. Unfortunately the other riders were gaining on them, most stayed to face the mercenary but two were following them.. "Opened me god damn it!"

Whoever had set her on the horse was gone, and Cady didn't know where. But when the book started yelling at her, it was all she could do to not drop it. Then, cautiously, she opened the book. Not that it did anything for her. Since she was blind.
Turning to face the chasing gypsies, Synthia prepared herself, knowing she was on her own now. She took the fastest horse's rider down and swung onto the horse, turning it to crash into several other horses, slowing things down. "Come on. Come on. Come on." That book was supposed to be powerful right? So, why didn't it do anything?
