Meanwhile, Hiro had found his phone and managed to explain his situation to his master. What followed was a barrage of heated words followed by very explicit instructions.
Get out, and find some light.
Hiro knew what he needed to do. He stood up, focused his mind, and darted into the hallways once more. He was strong, but solid concrete walls were a little out of his depth for the moment. He needed to find a door or a window first, and then it would only be a matter of breaking IT down.

The instant Taryn shouted, Magnus let off a large floating orb of light, which filled the room with bright, lingering light. A second after, he teleported to Taryn's position, moving his left hand quickly to pin one of her arms to the wall while his right grabbed her by the throat.
"You know, you're starting to be more trouble than you're worth, and I don't need any more of it. Turning people against me? Seriously? As if I wasn't in enough peril? I don't even know what this place is, what are those weapons the police carry or what dangers my friend is in, and yet you're still playing your little games!"
Magnus' grip on the shadeling's throat tightened slightly, and concern was evident in his voice. His mind was filled with a million thoughts, most involving bodily harm coming to Nashyll or the people around them, especially if Leros managed to escape the golden deity and return. He couldn't let himself keep getting trapped in her little games, but a small part of him still thought she could be controlled, she could be turned into a force for good, even as cold and devoid of empathy as she seemed to be.
"I am grateful for you helping me escape, and for that, your life will be spared. But I grow weary of your games and the damage they cause, so I may not be so kind for much longer. Seeing as you are the only one of your kind that I know exist, I'd rather not be responsible for the extermination of your entire race, even if you seem to be nothing more than toxic to all you meet"
Letting her go, Magnus immediately moved towards where the red-haired girl had collapsed, checking on her current status. She seemed to be in good health, if thoroughly exhausted, so she probably wouldn't be waking up any time soon. The knight would have to find a way to keep her safe from the chaos while he tried to contain it, a way that didn't involve locking her back up, since that would probably completely shatter any chances of her trusting him. Thinking her a valuable ally, Magnus picked her up and draped her over his arms, as bringing her with him was the only way to keep her safe outside of a locked room. She needed medical help, but he had no knowledge of the area, and it was crawling with murderous inmates. Taking a deep breath, Magnus slowly turned to face Taryn, speaking in a tone that showed how little hope he had of this working.
"I need some help, and I have no one else to count on but the person I know I can count on the least. I may hate this, but right now, I need your help Taryn. She needs an infirmary, somewhere that can help her recover and can give me time to plan my next move. I must be insane for asking this, but... Will you help me?"
The man smiled and laughed a little after those last few words, knowing that Taryn would most likely leave while taunting him, and offer nothing. But people had surprised him before, and ever the naive optimist, he decided to give it one final push.
"Come on, consider it a favor to your favorite plaything. After all, you never seem to be bored when you're around me, I'm an endless supply of chances to try out your little mind games. Care to pay some of it back by telling me where that infirmary is? I'll even make the light go away, so you can dissolve or whatever it is you do when it gets dark"

The flare of light forced the Shadeling solid into the form she'd been using most of late - "Trivia," the intern girl. Her night-blue eyes when wide when Magnus' hand closed around her neck, and she kicked and gagged as he held her up against the wall. This man who had once willingly allowed her to reach into his chest and grip his very heart over his guilt for inadvertently breaking her arm, who she had toyed with again and again while he never made a hostile move, who had always had the means to do such horrible things to her and yet never had - he now threatened her life, and she was feeling inclined to believe him.
She collapsed to the floor when he released her, and held her throat while she coughed. The sensation of fear was so unusual, and the cause so unexpected, that she merely stared at the floor until he addressed her again. Taryn looked up, the shock still written plain as day across her face.
He was already speaking to her again like nothing had happened. She was confused first, then started to scowl at the indignation that he would dare ask her help after nearly strangling her. The scowl faded though, and she muttered simply, "Follow."

Hiro successfully kicked down an office door and cheered when he saw it had a window. He barricaded the now-broken door with the desk, a filing cabinet, an overturned chair, a tv monetor, and a coffee cup. Once he was sure the office door was secure, Hiro took off his shirt, wrapped it around his hand, and punched through the glass window.
"Freedom!" he cried, hopping into the dimly lit streets at long last. "Now how do I light this place up?" He looked to the streetlights and formed a plan. He punched two of them as hard as he could to bend and twist the poles suspending them until he managed to redirect their light so they pointed directly into the windows of the building. At least from the outside, the station had enough light pointed at it to be mistaken for daytime.

"Thank you Taryn, and please excuse my actions. I have no time to spare in a situation like this."
Without hesitation, Magnus followed Taryn through the hallways, carrying the limp body of the red-haired elemental girl. The shadeling wasn't usually one to be trusted, but Magnus didn't really have any other choice, so he had to hope that his actions had scared her into being trustworthy. From time to time, they found some opposition in the hallways from other inmates, but Magnus' ability to create flaming copies of himself to fight on his behalf made quick work of whoever blocked their way.
After some time, they finally reached the infirmary, Magnus kicking the door open loudly. Many of the facilities' staff and remaining guards were inside, and some of them went for the weapons, ready to take the perceived threat down.
"STOP! I mean you no harm, I only come to get this woman some medical aid. I'll guard the entrance and keep you safe, just please mend her wounds before her health deteriorates further."
Without another word, Magnus placed the red-haired woman down on a bed and turned, heading towards the door. Standing just outside of it, he created a curved wall of flame that closed off the area, staying there to stop any who made it through the defenses. There was always the possibility of betrayal, of one of the guards shooting him in the back, but he had to trust that the mutually beneficial relationship they had at the moment would trump the fulfillment of their duties, if only temporarily.
"How did I get into this mess? Why can't things just end simply?"

The medical workers would quickly find many things wrong with Athena. She was dehydrated, overheated, and a variety of physical stress related injuries. Most of which could be fixed fairly easily, but until she woke up, they couldn't be quite sure just how well or not well she was. They found runes marked on her back, which most likely allowed her to do the magic she did.
The Shadeling retreated while Magnus spoke to the staff, hiding herself away in the shadows. The light that had appeared coming through many of the thankfully few windows made moving around safely more difficult for Taryn, but she made her way to a utility closet and hid away.
((Feel free to continue without me for a bit. I'll get back in when I think of something and find an opening. ^^ Or if someone needs something.))

He was outside and out of harm's way for the time being, but even after redirecting the light into the building, he couldn't just leave the others inside with dangerous criminals running around. What could he do, though? If he opened up an exit, sure, the innocent could escape, but so could the criminals. If he didn't, innocent people could still get hurt.
No, he had to open a way out. He knew what to do. One exit meant one possible route for criminals to take to escape, and Hiro would be there waiting for them.
He took a deep breath, moved his arms in a slow, smooth circle, and then propelled his palms into the front door, breaking its hinges. The exertion shook Hiro, but he still managed to pry the door off and toss it aside, preparing himself for whatever would meet him on the other side.

As the medics treated the red-headed girl, a grave sense of urgency came over the knight. He was wasting way too much time, and now that Taryn had provided him with the means to escape, he needed to take this opportunity. Nashyll was still out there, stuck in dragon form and in a strange world, which meant that she very likely was in danger. As much as he preferred to be the good guy and handle things properly, the situation at hand demanded action, and quick.
"Strap her down, don't let her leave. I'm not sure why she was in here, but I'm sure she can be dangerous. I'm leaving this place, I'll seal the door for your safety, make sure you call for help after I'm gone"
As Magnus stepped out, he heard the rifles of the two guards in the infirmary being readied. Turning around, he saw them aiming the guns at him, with an audible powering up sound which meant they were ready to fire.
"What makes you think we're going to let you leave?"
At the words, Magnus' face contorted into rage, his eyes flaring with white fire. Flames danced around his body, hugging close in places like his hands and arms, while flaring away in others. All combined, it was the closest Magnus had come recently to looking as he used to when he was in service of the Order deity, a terrifying atronarch of flame who barely resembled the human standing there before.
"Are you going to stop me?"
The words came out in crackles, as if it was the very fire speaking and not the man. The display made both guards drop their weapons, their legs becoming weak and shaky, making them both take a few steps back. Without another word, Magnus kicked the door back into place and sealed it with a blast of flame, walking away. As he did, he didn't even bother trying to open any doors, melting his way through both metal and stone in a straight line out of the building.
