He watched his own reflection as well, "it does that with any reflection" he said,
"Hmm... " she mumbled, suppressing a yawn. She didn't want to leave yet.
He leaned forward and lightly messed with his reflection in the water. Unaware of the fact Rose was growing tired,
Rose moved and laid on her stomach, crossing her arms and laying her head on them, watching Draik fiddle with his reflection, desperately trying to stay awake. Though, in a few minutes, she had fallen asleep.
He fiddled with his reflection, and it was many minutes of doing so until he noticed she had fallen asleep. He smiled a little at her. Despite how tempting the scent of her blood was, he wouldnt do it.
Rose slept silently, and didn't show any movement except for the occasional rise and fall. Though, after a few minutes, she mumbled something, unintelligible.
He looked at the wolf, before reaching his hand out to her, and placed it beside her, before looking away from her. He looked back at his reflection, well, semi reflection again
Rose stirred a bit in her sleep, again mumbling and reaching for the wolf toy.
He smiled softly at her, then looked down at the water again, but not his reflection. Just the water in direct.
She held the wolf closer to herself, now silent.
He quietly looked at the water, staying by her side, not wanting to leave her out her alone at night. Bad things happen at night,
Minutes of her silence go by, until she stirs again. She shifts, mumbling things along the lines of, "No!", "Stop!"
She bolts upright with a scream, looking around. She just had a nightmare. But, she hadn't had this one since she was fourteen. She started to hyperventilate, squeezing her eyes shut at the memories.
She bolts upright with a scream, looking around. She just had a nightmare. But, she hadn't had this one since she was fourteen. She started to hyperventilate, squeezing her eyes shut at the memories.
His eyes went back to her, watching her stir, and mummble things, though he was surprised when she shot upright screaming probably loud enough for the whole country to hear. "Bad dream?" He guessed looking st her.
She nodded, trying her best to push the memory of her parents' deaths away.
"What was it about?" He asked her curiously.
Sighing, she looked up at him with tear-filled eyes. "When I was fourteen... my parents. They died. Keeping me safe. We were driving... across an old bridge. My Dad, he..." she practically choked on her words, "He swerved, avoiding a huge truck. We drove right off the bridge. My brother, he was at home. Mom and Dad made me take my seatbelt off, and they started telling me how proud they were, and all this stuff. I wasn't comprehending hardly anything they said. Mom told me to hold my breath, and I did. The windows had cracked and broken from pressure, and Dad yelled for me to swim. I realized that Mom's seatbelt was jammed after he made me swim out. I knew he wouldn't leave her, no. As soon as I reached the bank, I stopped a car that was going by, and called 911. By the time they got there, my parents were dead."
He listened to her story. No wonder she had nightmares, that was a scary situation, and a sad one to imagine. He looked down, "I'm sorry to hear that" he said to her quietly. His voice his held that of sincerity, and understanding. Like he knew how she felt. Kinda.
She drew her knees up to her chest and buried her head in them, wrapping her arms around her knees, shaking slightly. She just couldn't expel the memory from her head.
Draik looked down, and soon she would find herself in a hug. Just like she had hugged him to comfort him. "They're in a better place.." he said to her.
She was gratefully for the hug, it calmed her a bit. She looked up at him, saying, "I hope so."
