He looked at the shade, before walking to her into the shade, and removed the hood of his hood once in the shade. "Just walking to the other end of town to pick up some things for my uncle.." he said to her. "And what might you be doing?" He asked her.
"Nothing really," she replied, looking towards the window of the bathroom in her house. The light was still on, meaning her brother was still in there. She put her hands in the pocket of her black hoodie.
Draik looked up at the house. He had passed this house various times in the far past. "So this is your house?" He asked her just for conversation.
"Yep. Home sweet home," she said, holding out her arms and twirling around once. She smiled and looked back at him.
He looked up at the house, then his eyes went to her as she held out her arms and twirled in a circle, causing him to laugh just a little. Just the reaction. His eyes looked up at the house again. They didn't live that far apart from each other,
She watched him as he laughed slightly, and she grinned. Jack chose that moment to walk outside. Usually he took a millennia and three days to shower. "Who's your boyfriend, Rose?" He asked. "He's not... we aren't-Jack!" She tried explaining, and just gave up, pushing him back in the house and mumbling to herself. "S-sorry..." she told Draik as she walked back over. "He usually isn't like that, not since Mom and Dad..." she muttered.
His gaze went too the door, seeing a boy there. Though things escalated when the boy, or rather Jack, asked who Rose's boyfriend was. Directing the 'boyfriend' part a him. "I'm not her boyfriend" he said simply to the boy just before Rose pushed him back inside. He looked at Rose, "no, its alright" he said to her. He guessed seeing a stranger who was a boy just so called for a younger sibling to make a joke over it. Every century had people like that. -or maybe the boy was just curious, but didn't need to make such a immediate conclusion. He went mute then.
"It's what brothers do... tease," she explained, trying to rid the atmosphere of awkwardness. Why Jack had decided to start acting like her brother again, and not his depressed self, she didn't know. Looking at her feet, she shuffled awkwardly, humming the tune to the song she sang earlier.
"I never had a brother," he said to her, "or any siblings really" he said to her quietly. "Though I always considered those who have them lucky, " he said quietly. It sucked being an only child. If only he knew the truth. He looked over at her, hearing her humming, listening.
She glanced up at him, a look of sympathy in her blue eyes. "It sucks sometimes, trust me," she said, trying to make him feel a bit better. She resumed her humming, unaware that he could hear it.
"Sometimes" he repeated her word as if trying to make a point. It didn't always suck, if it sometimes sucked. So having a sibling could be a good thing. He listed silently as she hummed a pretty song.
She nodded, at the emphasis he made on the word. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Staying silent, she hummed, then looked up, seeing him watching her. "Oh... did you hear me?" She asked, looking down.
He nodded, he had heard her. "Yes, I did" he said to her. "And it was nice" he complimented.
"Thank you," she said, smiling. Sweet of him. All this.
He smiled at her, "your welcome" he said to her.
(Sooooooooo sorry for the delay I was a bit busy)
She smiled at him, then remembered what he had told her. "Not that I don't want you here, but didn't you say you had something to do?" She asked.

(Its okay)
He had said that..he did have a place he needed to go. "Yes...yes I did" he said to her. He looked down a little, "I guess I should go now" he said to her, and started off the leave. She could always ask if she wanted to come.

She looked down at her shoes for a moment in thought. "You don't mind if... I tag along?" She asked, looking up at him. She had Nothing to do, and hanging out with him seemed like something fun.
He paused and looked back at her. He turned to face her, and thought over it a minute. We'll, if he could trust her with his secret, he could trust her with this. "Okay, you can come" he said to her.
She grinned at him. "Thanks," she said as she walked up to match his pace.
