He looked down at her a moment, then looked ahead. He showed her almost every room in the house, first and second floor, except the attic..
"Thanks for showing me around, Draik. What time is it?"
Rose hadn't taken notice that she hadn't seen the attic. Her mind was a bit distracted.
Rose hadn't taken notice that she hadn't seen the attic. Her mind was a bit distracted.
"11:05" he said looking at a clock.
"I guess I better go. God only knows what Jack has gotten into," Rose said with a sigh.
"Would you like me to walk you home?" He asked her.
"...Yeah, I'd like that, if it's okay with you?" She replied, looking up at him.
He smiled at her, "its okay with me" he said to her.
"Oh, in that case, let's go," she replied, smiling back.
He led her downstairs after informing his uncle he would be back later, and to the door, and outside. From there he began to walk her home.
She walked with him, looking up at the stars. "Those things are real mysteries," she said, pointing to the sky.
Draik looked up at the stars, "indeed they are" he agreed. He smiled lightly. Remembering childhood stories about the stars.
"Mom and I always watched the stars," she admitted, smiling.
"I never got to do that with my mom.." he said. -or his dad.
Rose's eyes softened. "I'm sorry," she said, looking over at him.
He shook his head lightly, "its okay" he said. She had to remember, he did say he didn't even get to meet his parents.
She nodded and looked forward, quietly humming to the song she was singing in her backyard earlier. She was glad she had run into him earlier, it gave her something to do today, and she enjoyed hanging out with Draik.
He smiled a little as she hummed. He seemed to like when she hummed. It brought back far memories. He was glad they got to spend the day together. There was only one mystery to the day. Why did he kiss her on the cheek for real?
She hummed absentmindedly, trying not to think too much about today. She was also wondering why he had kissed her cheek. It gave her a funny feeling, she didn't really understand what it meant. To her though, being around Draik just made her feel a bit more at ease. She continued attempting to ignore her thoughts, and continued her soft humming.
He continued to listen as she hummed as they walked. It was a nice melody to him. There was a slightly breeze that blew, that blew some of the multicolored leaves off the slowly dying trees. Only then did he remember that human holiday, Halloween, was nearing.
She enjoyed the breeze, it felt good and gave a pleasant air to the atmosphere. She had always preferred the cold over the heat. She hummed still, but mostly repeated what the lyrics would be: 'Make it a sweet, sweet goodbye, it could be for the last time and it's not right, don't let yourself get in over your head, he said, alone and far from home I'll find you...'
