It was a typical Autumn night. Colorful leaves littered the ground and streets, and even some people roofs and rain gutters, but it was to late to attend to that. The second they would clean it up, the next day it would all be back. It was a little while after midnight, and a young boy walked the streets. A hood covering his head, and his hands in the pocket of his hoodie. Walking alone in the cold eerie night. It wasnt obvious, but he was looking for something. But what was it that he was looking for? Had he dropped his cellphone or something earlier that day? Nobody knew the true answers.

He doubted anyone would pay attention to such things. He assumed they would just think he was a young man going home from work, or returning home from a friends house. Besides, it didn't seem to many people were out. He felt his stomach growl. yeah, yeah, I'm looking.. he thought, as if he could talk to his stomach. He looked up with dark turquoise eyes and saw a young girl. Maybe the age 14, maybe 13. Only a few years younger then himself. Why was such a young girl out so late at such temperatures? Ah hell..what did he care. He walked over to her, "would you like some help getting home?" He asked her as sweetly, and nicely as he could, which wasent hard on the fact naturally he was nice just by personality. The little girl looked up at him, her mom had said not to trust strangers, but she was lost. She had no choice, unless she wanted to be out here all night. She looked down, "do to know where 4215 West Avenue is?" She asked. Draik looked down pondering a little. "Hm..I believe I've been there before" he looked town at the girl, and held a hand out to her, "may I escort you back to your home?" He asked her softly. The teenager looked at his hand, before lightly taking it. He seemed nice enough. He smiled softly at her, and began to lead her off.

He walked along the sidewalk, the girl following behind him, and he looked to his right seeing a dark alley with a few lights through it. "I am sorry, but I'm just following the way I went to get there.." he said, which was true, but deceiving. Stupidly, the girl followed him into the alley, and that, was probably the worst decession she ever made. There is where she would loose a little blood. If anyone walked by, somewhere out of the light in the alley, it would look like the boy was hugging the girl, but if the looked closer, his mouth was near her neck. Awful close. The girl didn't scream as he bit his fangs into her neck, she was to much In shock. But he wasent brutal. As long as nobody got in the way, he would still take her home, just as he said he would.

Rose was walking silently along the path to home, hardly paying attention to her path. A long day of hiding out in her favorite place, the woods, and she was hardly awake enough to see. She knew this path by heart, though, being that she had taken this route a million times. As she trudged along the path, a cold wind was assaulting her face, slowly waking her up. She had always loved the wind, but at the moment, she found it extremely annoying. Rose looked up at the stars, glad for the quiet. It was something she didn't get much, since she had her older brother constantly bringing his friends over. The silence was starting to get eerie. Rose knew it was late, but usually there would be someone wandering the now vacant streets. The silence was broken by the sound of footsteps, interrupting Rose's calm thoughts. Placing a hand to the brick wall beside the dumpster she happened to be walking past, she hid behind it. Peeking around the corner, Rose saw something she would normally think of as a regular thing. A boy, though hardly visible even by the lamp post across the street, could be seen guiding a little girl into an alley as he quickly mumbled something to grew.For some, insane reason, Rose felt like this was something she had to check. Normally refusing to face her fears, but pushing herself this time, Rose looked in the alley. For a moment, she thought they were hugging. But after seeing how limp the girl looked, and how close the boy's mouth was to her neck, she didn't believe it. She refused to believe what she was seeing. Her eyes widened, horrified, as she saw his head turn in her direction.

The boy looked in the direction if the girl upon seeing the shadowed outline of a person. Crap, He thought. He didn't want to be ran out of this town away from his uncles residents just because one lady had saw him. He pulled his fangs out of the girls neck, he didn't have time to be gentle. He stood up and ran off. Leaving the young girl behind as she fell to the ground, she wasent dead, she was very much alive, just shocked, and maybe a little weak. "Sorry.." he thought to the girl, even if she couldnt hear. He ran off through the ally.

Rose watched as the strange boy dropped the little girl. She didn't seem to be dead, Rose could see her chest barely rising and falling. She watched, and saw the boy take off. If that wasn't weird, she didn't know what was. Rose, seeing the boy gone, ran towards the girl in the ally. As she examined the girl, her eyes skimmed over two puncture wounds in the girl's throat. "Oh, hell..." Rose muttered, pressing her hand over the wounds to stop the bleeding. She reached in her pocket, drawing her phone out and dialing for the paramedics. When they arrived, Rose told them she found the girl in the ally like this, and left out the boy. She had a feeling that if he could so easily leave a girl like this in minutes, he could do the same to her.

The boy ran through the alley, leaving everything behind. Nobody saw his face, or any details about him, besides his height of course, but that was it. He turned and exited the alley, still running, until he supposed he was safe, then began to walk. He let out a breath he had been holding in. God, that was close. He looked towards the street seeing an ambulance drive by, its red light lighting up the buildings in the darkness around them, then looked down. He figured it was about time he headed home, and that's where he began to go to. Home, also known as his uncles house,

Rose eventually was able to leave and head home. She didn't live too far, and she was glad for that. Her usual peaceful day...well, night walk had turned sort of chaotic. She soon reached her small, lit-up home. Her brother was still awake, unsurprisingly. Rose went inside, and walked past her brother and his annoying friends, went in her room, and locked the door.

The young teenage boy walked along the sidewwlk, and turned a corner and walked down the street to a two floored house. His uncles house. His uncle had adopted him from the orphanage, so now he lived there. The only family he had. His uncle. The second he got home his uncle scolded him. Telling him he had to be careful what time he went out at night, and how often. Informing him since more people could be watching. The world was better of believing Vampires were mere legends. Draik decided not to tell hi about how he had been seen, and had to escape. He just simply nodded an okay, "Okay Vladimir, I'll he more careful" he said and went upstairs, and flopped on his bed starring at the ceiling. His things racing, what would that lady do..?

She laid in bed, staring at her ceiling fan turn in the very dim, almost pitch black room of hers. She was used to not sleeping much, since she could hear her brother and his friends blasting music. Her eyes stared straight into the darkness, though they weren't really seeing. She was reviewing the events of the night in her head, trying to make her mind wrap itself around whatever the heck was up with that boy. She just couldn't make herself understand it. She scolded herself. In almost any other situation, she has known what was going on, but here... Rose was clueless. She sighed, closing her eyes and drifting off into a nightmarish, fitful sleep.

The boy layed on his back staring ceiling. What had he gotten himself into. He groaned in annoyance, and rolled over onto his stomach. He may be only 400+ years old, but that was still so young. Especially seeing his uncle was over 4000 years old and appeared merely 29 to 34. He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down. "Okay Draik, she didn't see your face, she doesn't know your name. She knows nothing about you in direct. She just knows there's a vampire in this town. She doesn't know its you" he thought to himself and sighed quietly, and opened his eyes.

Later that night, Rose bolted upright in bed, covering her mouth with her hands to contain a scream. Another nightmare. Glancing at the clock, seeing that it read "3:42 a.m", Rose groaned, and rolled over in her bed. She already had one really bad dream earlier that night, but now, this one wasn't as bad. Sighing, she buried herself under the covers on her bed and soon fell asleep.

Draik sighed, eventually falling asleep in his bed. He couldn't worry himself about this externally, his uncle would know something was up. And that was the last thing he needed.

Rose held onto a large tree branch and swung herself dow gracefully. She enjoyed watching the sun go down, so she would need a better view. She'd managed to calm herself down over the week that passed since her encounter with the boy. Glancing around, she found a simple gap in the tree line. She leaned on a large pine tree, huffing as a cold breeze drifted through the air. She slowly watched the sun go down over the horizon, and smiled, absorbing the last light of the day.

(I believe that's what we agreed on. A week.)

A boy with dark brown hair, and dark turqoise eyes sat behind a tree, a different tree, but a nearby tree. It has almost lost all of its leaves, and what remained were shades of red, orange, brown, and yellow. He was writing in a little notebook, writing what appeared to be poetry in colligriffy writing. Very fancy looking letters he made. Though the odd part was all the words were in Russian. The boy were sneakers, blue jeans, and a black hoodie with the hood down. He was away from the sun, and had no reason to wear it, so he didn't.

She glanced down at her dark skinny jeans and Vans, fiddling with her hoodie sleeve. She had some time to kill. She had been sleeping during the day, and coming out here at dusk. She only gets her nightmares at night, so she just avoids sleeping at that time, period. She didn't understand it, but so far it had worked. Her blue eyes darted around the area, scanning all of the trees. She wanted to climb one, she liked sitting in the top of the trees and watching everything around her. She walked to a nearby tree withw, sturdy branches, and she started climbing up. Soon she was about six or seven feet off the ground. Not quite high enough. She looked around, and saw a figure leaning against a tree. Strange. He looked... familiar, just his figure itself. Wait...she gasped in realization, and fell out of the tree, landing on her backside.

The boy looked up from his drifting, and looked in the direction he heard something fall, and saw a girl. A familiar girl. Then it hit him, like a rock in the head, and he looked down at his writing, and swallowed. It was that girl from that night one week ago. The one that spotted him. And here she was, and he was hoping inside she didn't recognize him in any way.

Rose looked up, just catching the boy's gaze turn away. She huffed, and hoped she was wrong, and that it wasn't him. She had no idea what to do, so she decided to get a closer look. Her instincts screamed at her to run, but something more sensible within her told her to stand her ground, predators chase prey. She slowly moved towards the boy as she stood up, and watched him.

The boy sighed quietly, almost silently. He had to act natural. He couldn't act paranoid. His gaze looked down st his notebook, and he started to write again, once more writing in Russian. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed her coming closer. He looked over at her, "lovely evening isn't it?" He asked her, a soft Russian accent showing in his voice.

She glanced at the boy, tilting her head in confusion. "Very," she replied. Her mind was screaming at her. This had to be the boy. She took a mental note of his interesting Russian accent, she had coincidentally been fond of the language since her early teen years. "What's your name?" She asked, only a few feet away.
