He bellowed, his joyful laughter filling the aura around the room. "I'm paying for a room that is housing the both of us, I'm paying for the food that is about to come in here in a few minutes. I'm providing shelter. You are lost and have no way to get back to wherever you're trying to go. It is my business." At her questions and answers, he responded. "I care." At her last response, he chuckled and stared her straight into the eyes. "You can't handle every thing, let alone with just yourself." He sighed to her last question and held his forehead and shook it. "I care, and I deserve to care. Nobody asked me, that much is true. But just because someone doesn't ask me, or tell me to do something, doesn't mean I don't do anything." After his response, he looked at the door and huffed. "Food should be here any minute."
That made Yuu speechless. She didn't know how to answer to that. She sat up and kept her eyes at the ground. She's never told anyone before, no one's ever cared. "Yes, I am young to be out here alone, yes something might happen. Though I would never forgive myself if I didn't at least try. I....." She clenched her hands together tightly and concentrated on the floor. "I swear to God if you betray me I'll kick your ass... Though... I'm hunting demons because... because they're the reason I'm alone..I won't forgive them... I will never forgive them for killing them..." She told him quietly as a knock on the door came. It made her stop talking completely as a voice came out, saying that it was room service and their food was here.
Liam nodded to her, but before he could respond, the food had arrived and their feast was just about to begin. He strode to the door and grasped it's iron handle, then yanked on its handle. A large cart of food entered the room, followed by a woman. The cart was left in the middle of the room as the woman left. Before when he was talking to the clerk, he had ordered the, 'Buffet Special', it's food portions were limitless. Although the food wasn't five-star quality, it was more than enough to fill up one's belly, and quench their appetite. The cart of food that lay before them had different varieties of food from Indian, to German. The cart was nearly the size of the Royal Rug, which was indeed a large furnishing. Liam strolled over to the glorious stacks of food, his mouth practically watering. His head whipped around to face Yuu, and he smiled. "Dig in."
Yuu looked up at him and smiled happily. "Alright!" She said as she looked over the food. It all looked so amazing she didn't even know where to start. She never lived anywhere this nice, she never had such well done food since she's behind a demon hunter. She mostly just ate something quick like bread or small portions of meat. Often just noodles, though she couldn't hide get excitement now. She finally had someone she could trust and a nice place to sleep. She picked up a plate and filled her plate to the brim with random food that she just piled on the plate. Then, she sat at the edge of her bed and began to shove the food in her mouth. Food always made things better.
Three plates lay before him as he sat on his bed trying to decide which one to devour first. He stared them down intently. On the first plate, he had a nice, juicy steak with home style mashed potatoes and asparagus. On the second plate their was Bratwurst with red cabbage and Pumpernickel bread. On the third, and final plate their was curried chicken with Spanish rice and Gnocci. His eyes looked at them greedily. After a few moments he sighed, and looked over at Yuu. "Which one?" He asked gesturing toward his trio of plates. "I can't decide, they all look amazing!" He exclaimed as if he were a kiddin a candy shop. Liam looked over at Yuu's plate and nodded in approval. "A fine choice of good I would say."
Yuu looked at her plate and looked away awkwardly. "I didn't ask for your say..." She said, turning back to her cold self. She looked over at his food and thought about it. "I say the curried chicken." She said and smiled at her decision. It seemed like the best choice there, though everything else looked great, the curried chicken looked better. She went back to eating quietly. Though she could understand why he asked, it was a hard choice. "...... what are you doing alone?" She asked and looked down at her plate. It only seemed fair to ask.
Agreeing with her decision Liam smiled and cut bites into the chicken. Ignoring her first stubborn statement, he froze at the last one. His fork dropped to the sheets and the chicken disconnected from it and rolled onto the floor. His eyes went blank, and his skin went pale. His expression looked as if he was remembering distant memories. Staying like this for a few moments, he finally snapped back to reality, regaining the color to his skin. Smiling warily, he turned to her. "I, uh." He shrugged and sighed. "It's quite a long story."
Yuu looked over at him confused. He seemed like there was something horrible in his past. Didn't they all have something horrible that happened in their past? She set her food down and sighed. She picked up the piece of chicken that rolled on the floor and threw it away. She then sat back down and looked at him. "I told you, so you have to tell me. Besides... I care." She muttered and looked away awkwardly. She didn't say that often so it was uncomfortable to say it, but it was true.
"Fine." Liam sighed out. He focused his eyes on the ground and fixated them there. "My parents disowned me when I was only the age of thirteen. I had nothing, so I used the illegal fight arenas to make it. Then someone noticed me and my skills. He took me in, and gave me a home. But that man had enemies, and house we were in, was burnt down, with him in it. Then yet again I was dumped out into the streets. I was fifteen then." He stopped the conversation there and averted his gaze to her eyes. "I'm gonna stop there and eat the rest of my food."
Yuu was actually surprised that he ended up telling her, though she was clenching her hands the entire time. Which was worse, having your, family killed or having them disown you? She didn't know why, but she was now angry. Why would they all do that? You did nothing to deserve it! As she got deeper in her thought, she, heard your story end and was snapped back into reality. "O-oh..... alright." She said and went back to eating, though not as much this time. She was now filled with revenge for two people. She was going to find the people that made you suffer one way or another. That was just the kind of person she was. She didn't want him to die just like her family so she held out her pinkie to him. "Promise you won't do anything stupid and die." She said, trying to sound cold.
Looking up at her pinkie finger, he didn't lift his own, he just continued eating. "Now that," he looked at her sternly, "is something I can't promise." She looked at her even more serious now. "But there is one thing I can promise," he grasp her hand and shook it, "I will protect you." With that their room shook and the lights flickered out. In immediate reaction he unsheathed both of his cutlasses and stood up. The older part of him snapped back in and he stood infont of Yuu, protecting her with his figure.
Yuu looked down disappointed. Now she couldn't ensure his safety. Though when he grabbed her, hands, she looked up at him surprised. She didn't know what to say. No one really said that before, no one actually cared. She was about to say something when the room shook and the lights flickered out. She quickly stood up, only to be shielded by Liam. "You don't need to shield me..." She mumbled when the temperature dropped. They weren't alone anymore. The was random squeaking at the floorboards in no random position. She quickly grabbed her small hunters knife and pistol. She liked close range matches best.
Liam's constant studying of demons allowed him to anticipate their attacks. It appeared right before his eyes, it's claws swinging toward the side of his head. Delaying his reaction, he brought the hilt of his cutlass upward nailing the demon in the gut. Dodging its next swing, he fully swung his blade towards its midsection. Knowing that it would try to block, he changed courses last second slicing its neck, leaving it to drop to the floor. Grinning over the writhing demon body, he plunged the white metal of his blade into the heart of the thing, ending it's suffering. A larger demon exited from the shadows, bashing its head into Liam crushing his ribs. He screamed in agony, but continued to fight back, trying to protect Yuu. He swung rapidly toward the gorilla like demon, slicing it in many different places. His blades swung faster, and faster, and fasted until they just became white blurs rapidly gaining in speed. The demon coward backwards, but then retaliated. It's fist propelled upward and connected with Liam's jaw. Luckily as he he went flying backwards, he plunged both swords into its head, killing it instantly. He lay unconscious beside Yuu's bed. Before the lights flickered back on, a demon the size of a goblin approached Yuu. But it had a bow and a shortsword.
Yuu looked up surprised. She gripped her weapon, waiting for an opportunity or a request for help. She never worked with a partner before, did she just jump in? Though the next thing she knew, Liam was unconscious beside her bed. Her eyes widened as she hurried beside him. "What's wrong? What happened?" She asked herself panicking. She looked over at the demon and gripped her weapon. "You assholes will pay." She said while glaring at him, a glare that was so hot it could melt down hell. She ran at it with full speed as she stabbed it straight in the arm. The only place she could really aim. Her attacks would be more effective if she calmed down, she knew that. But she couldn't. The demon lifted its sword and quickly attempted to stab her. She quickly moved out of the way at the last moment, though her side got a small cut. She aimed her gun straight at its head as she shot it repeatedly. Only to be hit off into a wall. "Dammit..." She muttered while standing up. She harmed it greatly. She gripped her knive as she ran after him. She felt instant pain in her shoulder, though she refused to look at it or else she would over exaggerate. She stabbed it straight through its eye, stabbing it repeatedly. Shooting what she could, she was actually happy that she could see she killed it. "Actually put up a fight..." She muttered as she went to you and sighed. She picked up her phone and called an ambulance. They came instantly and took you to the hospital. Yuu was easy to fix, and was soon asleep in the chair in your hospital room.
Awaking with a start Liam ripped the the IV from his arm. He sat up and whirled around, searching the room. His eyes settled on Yuu and he pulled himself out of bed. He completely ignored the pain in his side and jaw. Before he reached out for her and grasped her he hesitated. Looking down he realized he was only covered by his boxers. He blushed deeply red and backed up. Searching around he found no new clothes at his disposal. He sighed and shook Yuu be grasped her shoulders. "Are you alright?"
Yuu woke up to pain in her shoulder and quickly shoved away his, hands while wincing in pain. "I see your up." She muttered as she looked up at him and blushed deeply. She quickly turned her head to the side. "A-uh-erm... yes, I'll be fine. I'm more worried about you... you shouldn't be up yet." She said, still looking away and stood up. "I'll go see if they have any extra clothing for you."
Liam shrugged it off. "I shouldn't be up yet? Your the one in pain!" He bellowed joyfully. At the statement to his lack of clothing he backed up and chuckled lightly. "Th-that would be smart." He let his arms drop to the side and he stood, frozen. He felt around his waistline and freaked out. "Where are my cutlasses? A-and my knives! My pistol?" He tore through the room, searching for his weaponry. After he had scoured the room and had come up empty, he just sat there. He whipped his heads toward her and looked down over her. "What did they do with it?"
Yuu stood up and shrugged. "I don't know, they took mine too before putting us in the room. Probably to make sure that you don't hurt yourself while you sleep or something. I'll go ask about it." She said calmly. Though she would be freaking out like him if the effects of the medicine they gave her to calm her down wasn't still in effect. She ran a hand through her hair and left the room as she went to the nurse. "We had some items before we came here and now they're missing."
"Yes, you get them back once you leave the hospital." The nurse said.
"Can I have clothes for my friend?" She asked.
"Yes, here you go." The nurse said while giving her some clothes. Yuu took them and walked back to Liam. She handed him the clothes and sat back down.
"They said we get them back when we leave."

"Yes, here you go." The nurse said while giving her some clothes. Yuu took them and walked back to Liam. She handed him the clothes and sat back down.
"They said we get them back when we leave."
This made him freak out even more so. "Until, after, we leave?" Whipping around to find the door, he started towards it. The clothes she had handed him were now crumpled in his fist. Quickly before darting outside he slipped on the garments she had handed him. After he was done, he ripped the door open, nearly tearing them from the hinges. He was furious, how dare they take his weaponry, no one has the right! He found the nurse that had told Yuu the information, he turned her backwards by her shoulder. "Where is my stuff?"
Yuu watched him leave and shrugged. "I'll be here." She said while pulling her legs up in the chair and yawned. She felt like she should be concerned, though the medicine made her as calm as ever. So, she just decided to sleep and then later, she would deal with the weapons.
The nurse was sorting out papers when you came darting to her. She screamed in surprise. "I-I'm sorry sir, but we can't give you any items back until you leave the hospital. And y-your not fit to leave until at least tonight. Please go back to your room."
