The day he was forced through the gates of this prison was the day John cursed life. Vorkuta..the place of no return...

Before he was called Snake or Big Boss, he was refereed to as John. At this time he wasn't even acknowledged in FOX, he was a simple Trooper for the US army. This was John's first priority mission from the president..and John...was captured.

Now granted, the mission wasn't a complete failure. The mission was to assassinate Castro, it was just an imposter. Nevertheless John was stuck in prison along with the other men on the same operation or other countries. Now here he was, working until his final days. Would this be the last of John? Wll there be no legend? Doubtful.

-Current Time-
We find John currently working in the mines. He was mining along with other POWs and men whom were tricked. They were all a mix of Americans, Russians, Etc. As of now John is tired and desperately searching for a way out.

Ivan looked over at the other and sighed. He could see that he was trying to figure a way out and he knew that it was no use. His muscled ached and when he hit again his muscled gave out and he fell hard onto the ground panting as his cold sweat rolled down his face and back. He tried to get back up but it was no use.

John looked over at the man who fell and quickly crawled on over to the man to pick him up. The guards were barking Russian language at the two of them. John only knew what had to happen so he hurried the stranger up and leaned him on the wall.

"You okay?"

John may not have looked it, but he was merely in his twenties. What tempered with the young features was the prisoner like clothing, the wool coat for prisoners (which had a prisoner number), the bandaged hands, and the dirt on his face.

"Are you okay?"

"D-Da.....Spasibo," He spoke his Russian tongue looking up at the other. His scarf hanged down from his neck. He was allowed to wear this scarf only because if kept him from fighting back but because it hid his scars.

He listens to the guards being able to understand them he attampted to stand and was able to because of Snake's help.

"I'm Ivan.....but everyone calls me Russia," He introduced himself picking up his axe again.

Russia? That's an odd nickname. John picked brushed off Ivan and then picked up his own pick axe to continue working. He glanced over at the guards then back at Ivan

"I assume with a name like that you know how to speak more than that one phrase right?"

John slammed his pickaxe into the rock and began to chip away for the good of his safety

"I speak every language you could think of, David...." He smiled at the fact that he knew the other's name. He was not like normal people. He looked at the other with his violet eyes. He then turned and began to work.

"David? Who's David? My name is John."

John glanced behind him to notice the guard staring at the two of them. The soldier looked back ahead and asked the fellow man

"Look, is there anywhere we can talk without attracting attention?"

"I am sorry.....my head is cloudy from the air and from exhaustion," He laughed nervously.

"Nyet.....They always watch us......" He lowered his voice to a whisper covering his mouth slightly with the scarf where the guards could not see his mouth move," At night. We are sharing a cell so it will not be hard..."

John simply nodded his head and continued working. Hours went by after torture and grueling work sessions, it was almost too much for John. But now he had to talk to this Ivan fellow. Hopefully he would provide information on this place and who works here.

John finally returns to the cell and surprisingly Ivan wasn't there. John slightly panicked as he began to pace in his cell. If Ivan was dead there went John's only chance out.

Not too long later, well it felt like weeks to John, Ivan walked into the cell. He was bruised and deeply cute but seemed not bothered or used to his blood dripping everywhere. He looked up and smiled weakly at John,"Privet, comrade~"

John looked back and to his surprise there Ivan was. A sigh escaped John's mouth as he leaned against the dirt walls of his cell. John leaned off the wall and made his way towards his comrade. He looked left and right outside the cell and then closed the iron bar door slowly and then went to the corner.

"How long have you been here?"

Ivan looked away,"I was the first prisoner...." He sighed ,"Living here is rough, John. Very hard...."

John looked down and sighed. He won't lie, he's had similar experiences with being a prisoner himself. His time training under the boss proved what humans were indeed capable of. Cutting, shocking, stabbing, shooting, all of these forms were practiced and perfected by him. The soldier clenched his striped prison pants remembering the time he was forced to survive 4 weeks in a hole.

But there had to be a way out, he wasn't going to die in here. He didn't care how long it would take. He would escape. John looked at Ivan and said

"We are going to get out of here. But I'm going to need help with it."

"You are wanting a prison break? fun~" He smiled looking at the other,"So what is your plan?"

"I'm thinking.."

John was indeed fluent in 7 languages. But that didn't stop him from needing extra help.

"What you need to do is gather up as much info on this place as you can. We need to know guard posts, hours, everything we can learn about this place. I'll deal with gathering people to join us and gathering intel as well. This won't be easy. Are you sure you're up for this?"

"Da, I am. I already have most of that info. The only thing that stops me is the canine units. They are easy get caught with," He grunted looking toward the wall,"There is one way....Most people here are Americans and Russians.....but....there is one German. During Germany's Nazi days there was this material. Liquid material....So strong that humans can't smell it but if a dog smells it they will lose their sense of smell for the rest of their lives....Most people would put it on a handkerchief and when the dogs came to search the boats for Jews they would smell the person's pocket with the handkerchief and could not find the Jews," He smirked slightly.

"Also the German has a lot of military experience and could be useful... He smuggled A LOT of things in..."

John looked down at the ground. Looks like he's going to need to earn the trust of this German before anything else. John looked up and nodded at his cellmate.

"Tomorrow I want you to lead me to this German. We're busting out of here tomorrow."

The prisoner got back up on his bunk and stared up at the rocky ceiling. Maybe tomorrow they will finally get somewhere. Hours pass by and John is finally back out in the mines and started searching around for this German. So far there were only skinny people whom were going slow and or dying on the job. John held his pickaxe tight in his hand as he followed behind his Ivan friend.
