Alessandra was finishing dusting off the old books on the shelves in the back of the towns old library when she heard the old man's voice calling for her after he hang up the phone "Ale.." he said as she poke her head over one of the shelves, her light brown hair glowing under the lights as her big honey eyes looked at him "Yes..". The man smiled softly, as he saw her as his own daughter, shes been working with him since she was 14 and more since her mom passed away a couple of months ago. She always kept out of trouble so she was most of the time if not always inside that library. The old man asked "You think you can close today when you're done..I need to run to the city before morning for a new delivery.." she nodded to him "Of course... I just need to finish mopping after this and I'll lock everything up...Don't worry". The old man left the store leaving her by herself to finish up. When she was done mopping she heard the bell from the front door and she called from the back of the place "Ill be there in a second.." she said before thinking to herself 'Who would come into a store literally five minutes before closing', she hurried to the front just to see an empty place, she looked thru every aisle not finding a single soul there. She shrugged the feeling maybe it was her imagination the bell and the door after all it was late.

She closed the front door and locked it turning off the light, as soon as she did she felt eyes on her making her shiver but she just shrugged it off. She went out thru the back door after putting on her cowboy boots after mopping and locked the door. She started to walk home as the cold night air brushed against her tone legs, taking her phone out of her pocket she chuckled softly to herself "what am I expecting a missed call or text... Oh Ale you're going crazy" she said to herself before putting it back in her pocket as she stretched making her figure noticeable thru her clothes . As she kept walking under that moon light she couldn't help to feel a gaze on her, the same one as back in the store, making her walk a bit faster than usual.Feeling a bit scared she grabs her phone just to go thru it to distract herself, she kept looking thru it when she walked into traffic without noticing it until she heard a loud honk.

Saleh moved through the store, eyeing the beautiful Rose all while in wait and silence. He easily moved through the store, hiding himself wherever her eyes could not see. He smirked softly, having observed her for several days to find if she was truely what he thought. He followed her out, watching her move down the street before his eyes widened, he turned his head slightly, a large bus moving quickly down the streets towards her. He reached out, gripping her shoulder as he pulled her away from the street, in the movement, she turned while his arms surrounded her, hugging her to his chest as the bus rushed by, air flowing over the two, he panted softly, than peered down, noticing her eyes staring up at him.

She looked up at him mesmerize by him she just stood there as his arms surround her pressing her hard but gently against his chest. Alessandra opened her mouth trying to find words, for a few seconds she stood there speechless. "Thank you..." she said as her voice came out almost as a whisper.

Saleh nodded quietly, the years of solitude left him shy, even as a hardened warlord, his cheeks reddened slightly in his retired state. He gave her a soft smile, his arms staying around her even after she was saved from danger as he stroked her back softly, "Y....You need to be more careful...", his eyes stayed on her, though she could tell his mind was racing with hundreds of thoughts.

Alessandra smiled warmly at him as she put her hand on his chest pulling herself away from him softly as she blushed lightly "Sorry I was nervous and I didn't look where I was going…But Ill be more careful now…Thank you" Her voice was calm as if nothing had happen, she looked at him chuckling softly to herself as she could see there was something in his mind driving him crazy even tho on the outside he looked calm and serious. "My name's Alessandra Rose…but Ale for short…whats my savior's name? " she said with a blush and a smile on her face as she looked at him, maybe it was the lighting but she could have sworn his eyes were red.

Saleh grinned, his eyes moving slowly over her own as he inhaled softly, he kept his eyes on her, their shine resembling a blood red more and more as he whispered, "Saleh...Its a pleasure to meet you Ale...". As he held her hands, she suddenly felt the need to stay around him, almost constantly seeking a hug. "Im just glad I was in time..."

"So am I..." She said stepping back looking at her watch as she let go of his hands "thanks for saving me but now I'm afraid I need to go home ...tomorrow's a long day" she smiled kissing his cheek before she started to walk home.

Saleh watched her move away, he began walking towards her, but the crowd of people soon seperated the two. As she neared her house, Ale felt a tap on her shoulder, the same man from earlier standing behind her as he whispered softly, "I...I have something to tell you.."

The tap on her shoulder made her freeze on place but hearing his voice calmed her down "How did you..uhm what is it?" She said finding it strange that a guy with his looks would liik nervous making her smile.

Saleh breathed quietly, as he peered over her, seeing her eyes causes his cheeks to flush more, as he stroked the back of his head softly, he spoke, "Well...the truth is that I know you...but the story is long and well...crazy."

Alessandra raised her eyebrow at him tilting her head, for a second she though about screaming for help but if he wanted to hurt her he would have let her get hit by that truck back there. Then she thought he might just be playing around wanting to talk to her. She smiled at him softly chuckling "You do know thats impossible right we just met a couple of minutes ago..right" she said still smiling at him. As she spoke she started to play around with her blue quartz in the shape of a heart she always wears since she can remember, and if she thinks about it she doesn't remember where she got it from.

Saleh peered over the pendant, his eyes widening slightly as he leaned forward, his larger fingers lightly pressing against her own as she suddenly saw herself seeing a vision in her mind when he touched her and the pendant at the same time. She was a baby, wrapped tightly in a blanket and in her crib with a storm outside. The window flashed lightning into the room as a crash came from downstairs. The door to the nursery suddenly flung open, a man wearing armor stumbled back and into the room, his helmet hid his face, all that you could see in the flashback was his facial hair. He groaned heavily, lifting up his sword as two very slim creatures came at him. They looked like skinny people, their skin pale as paper and their eyes were black. They screeched and groaned, the armored man fighting them away before he slit one of their throats. The black blood started dripping down his chest as he fell to the side, meanwhile the other creature peered at the baby, The man moved towards the crib, lifting the baby in one arm and turning his back to the creature, the world turned black for a moment as the man teleported away. He peered down at the baby, panting quietly as he lightly rested a pendant in the blanket, he took the girl slowly to a woman's house, leaving the child on the doorstep with a note. As he rung the bell, he disapeared into the night, a woman answering the door that you remember as your mother.

Alessandra's eyes widen after she saw her mother in that vision she had when Saleh touched her pendant "How did that..". She took a step back looking at him confused as she put her hands on his chest pushing him back a bit "Get away from me...What was that...Get away from me..." she said as she went inside her house slamming the door as she lean against it slowly sliding down to the floor, tears running down her cheeks as she started to talk to herself 'Stop Alessandra...It was nothing just a dream... you still dreaming... you got hit by the truck and now youre laying down in a hospital bed hallucinating...yes yes thats whats going on..' She said as she hugged her legs close to her hiding her face.

Saleh watched as she slammed the door, sighing softly as he looked down and sighed, his eyes closed as a tear dropped down his pale cheek. He reached forward, pressing his palm through the door as he appeared on the other side, looking down to her before kneeling, he pressed two fingers to her forehead, paralyzing her entire body, "Easy....Im not here to hurt.."

Alessandra looked at up at him crying still the hate, the pain, the fear in her eyes was clear "Get out of my house... Please leave me alone" She felt her body heavy but still could move slowly, she tried to reach for the table standing next to the door but she stumble bringing everything on it to the floor with her. She lift her gaze towards him "Stop this..."

He watched her struggle with her thoughts, seeing her sink slowly into a scared depression almost. He knelt beside her, slowly cupping her cheek, his fingers were ice cold and pale, yet he continued to lift her as he knelt, hugging her closely, "Shhh...."

As he hugged her closer she started to relax and calm down a bit. Her eyes looked for his as her breathing got slower "What do you want from me Saleh... What are you..why did you show that to me" tears started to run down her cheeks again as before she felt the room go dark as she passed out. She didnt know what was going on but she just wished that the moment she woke up everything that happened that night it was just a dream.

Saleh peered over her, watching her drift away into the darkness of a sleep. He slowly stood up, carrying her upstairs. A few hours later, she woke up, laying in her bed with Saleh beside her, softly resting a wash cloth over her head as he peered, over, to answer her question, he whispered, "Because that man was me.."

Alessandra pushed him back grabbing the wash cloth throwing it against the door screaming at him "Get Out..Please..Get out" she said as she couldnt containthe tears in her eyes. She grabbed her pillow and pressed it against her face as she cried the memories of her mom, the stranger on her house that somehow she met when she was still a baby. Ale shook her head feeling her stomach turn as she thought about it.

He leaned forward, slowly stroking her hair. he sighed quietly, seeing she was not taking too kindly to his attempts to calm her. He sighed before standing up, the room grew dark as a shadow raised up, while Ale still looked away, the man disapeared, however without her knowing he lurked in the shadows, watching her to make sure she was ok.
