friendly is what facebook lacked, some people dont like being out done, i lost my oldest accounts n a recreation of my Lily OC due to someone not being able to take my character being stronger than theirs n nuked them

Sounds like that community could benefit either from some rudimentary dice rules to force people to play fair and acknowledge that sometimes it's not all up to them, or the implementation of the consent rule, or possibly both!

Yeah, we acknowledge different skill levels in writing and such, and there's no problem with being choosy about who you RP with and how you do it, so long as you remain polite about it. We simply encourage everyone to do their best, and most folks are happy to give tips and such on improving if it's desired.

On that note, Lilith, could you work on your punctuation? Run-on sentences can be difficult to read.

gomen gomen, i have an odd manner of typing i developed, aswell as i tend to use "n" instead of "and", i can read a run on, kinda handy as punctuation can help, but sometimes throw off for me, ill work on it.

i also occasionally use japanese as that fits with a few of my OC

people on FB tend to take pointers unkindly... which is sad i fear some i may bring over will need to get accustomed to it, as you can ask if they want some help and they may take offense.

Sorry for my rant on the so called "Slacker" I am just annoyed at what they put out on FB. And if you have any groups for a halo military role player like my self, would you please recommend me to the groups for said halo role plays. And I am trying to break out of my shell from halo role playing, that is why me and my one friend created a Diablo 3 character for me. I love both games, and I do wish to find groups to role play in. I will keep in mind of the rules, I wouldn't want to be kicked out of this place since I just found out about it.

I'm not sure if there are presently; if you don't find any after looking, you're welcome to create one. You can also start with just a single thread to get things going, and it's fairly easy to expand out here. If you want to stick to fandoms, I know there's a number of them here. If you'd like to try more original settings, there's lots of that too.

You can check/post a call in Looking For RP, try the Find RP tool, look through current games down in the RP/IC forums, browse groups, or just send someone a PM in you find the player or one of their characters interesting. ^^

Out of curiosity, have you done much on forums with this sort of setup before? I know that some haven't, so adjusting can be a little confusing at first.

I have not done anything with forum settings at all. Never did one before but I will see what I can do.

Oh? Can you be more specific about the problem you're having? There's a number of reasons why images might not upload; too large, poor connection, unusually high activity (usually no issue except for a few minutes during backup around 1am PST), possibly even a bug.

I had no problems with uploading anything.

Ah. Well, does the setup you're seeing here make enough sense? The forums, the topics, the structures of it all...

Or do you mean setting as in world? Because the public forums aren't set up in any kind of cohesive world, it's all individual stuff by topic. That varies with Groups though.

Seems a decent amount of people have come across already, There's about 5 or 6 of us from face-book now I think, This is certainly an interesting site to say the least nice to meetcha by the way Novalynn.

I never done a forum ever in my life, I never seen any setup for the Forums yet. When I get a little more free time, I'll see if I can make a forum for a group that I may start later on in the future. But before that, I need to work on my sci-fi world. I've just recently scrapped my previous tank called the RX-T95-B. Almost ruined a friendship I had with a good buddy of mine back on FB. He started his own sci-fi world, and most of his ideas kinda inspired me to create my own ideas. The RX was one of them, but it was treading on a thin line from being a copy of his own tank. But I see this site as a good outlet for a possible RP outbreak. (Outbreak as in a good way, fair rules, not a lot of restrictions, easy to maintain, and very very easy to make things. Unless you are a nub like my self who doesn't under stand what widgets do ) But yea, this site is one break through for awesome role players, and for the starters as well. (Again, I am sorry for my rat on the Slackers I did before, I was just in a bad mood and a little pissed. I will make sure my anger will never come on this group, unless its a role play form. I kinda role play better when I'm pissed somehow o.o)

facebook has taught us to mix canons and have it work rarely will 2 people have the same canon outside a series or anime based RP n even then 2 may have differences or modifications.

Well, if you end up with any questions about anything, don't hesitate to ask. There's tons of info in the Help documentation, but sometimes it's also good to have someone explain it more... interactively, I guess. Or just to help you find what you're looking for.

As for the rant, just remember to consider what you say first. We all need to rant a little now and then, but you need to avoid it seeming like an attack.

The image uploading problem? Yeah, that would make sense, finicky as phones can be sometimes.
