"Nope." Abe said flatly. "Not at all."

"Okay... It's really quite simple. All you need to do is lay in that tube, and it'll turn on your engines. You'll top off at about 300 MPH. Then, just point yourself wherever you want to go. Do you want to try it? Or do you want to stick in the ship?"
"I guess I could try it." Abe said. "But what if I accidently crash? What are the safety features?"
The Indigo Project (played by SirMustacheTheGreat) Topic Starter

"First, you won't crash. I'm going to tether us together so you won't go anywhere below about ten feet from me. Second, if somehow the tether is cut, and you find yourself below about fifty feet into the air, then the auto-eject will kick in and you'll gain about ten feet before the parachute will open. Naturally, you won't need a survival briefing. You ready?"

Jack sat himself into the back half of a suit. The top half slid down from the ceiling of the ship and the suit locked into place. A small speaker buzzed on Jack's suit.

"Once you're in the suit, I'll communicate through radio. Don't worry, the suit will adjust to fit you."

When Abe looked closer at the suit, it would reveal that the suit itself was made out of a lot of small pieces that adjusted themselves quickly, making the suit appear to shimmer slightly, as if Abe was looking at it through a layer of water.
"Cool..." Abe said, getting in. "So where we going?"

"There's a green-and-black camo ship flying ahead at about 200 MPH, heading north-northeast towards an unknown location. Don't max out your speed or we will collide with them, and be sure to stay close. Don't make the tether too taut."

Once Abe got into the suit, a countdown appeared on the visor HUD.

5...

4...

3...

2...

Launch. Once launch appeared on the screen, the suit fired out of its tube, and Jack appeared right next to Abe, holding a cable. Jack attached the cable to Abe's suit.

"Alright, speed is easy. Just bring your heels together and think fast thoughts. The suit is semi-telepathic, so it knows how fast you want to go. About 250 is good for now. Let's go."

With that, Jack sped up slightly and headed towards the ship, which was now visible.

"Okay, we've got visual with the target. C'mon."

They continued, and Jack signaled to slow down. "Radio silence from here on. They might hear us if we don't."

They got even closer, and saw the ship sprout turrets and aim at them.

"Blast it! They've spotted us! Max speed!"

They floored it to 300 MPH, and were almost there when Jack heard a snapping noise, and saw the tether cable had been hit by a turret shot. He looked at abe, and shrugged.

"All we have to do is get to the ship and use magnetics to attach to it. I'll get us in. For the magnets, just think of magnets. They'll stay active 'till you think of magnets turning off."
Abe shot towards the ship, attaching himself to it. He waited for the way in.

Jack pulled a fusion cutter from his suit and started cutting a hole in the ship. Once the man-sized hole was complete, he ripped the hole open and threw himself out to the side. The pressure change created a huge rush of air, and three crewmen flew out. Jack jumped into the hole and pointed a pistol inwards as the airsuit sprang off him, falling apart into its many scales, leaving him in his basic combat armor. The room was empty, the only crew inside of it having been removed. The ship wasn't big, but it did have four rooms: Engine, storage, crew, and cabin. Jack figured that Hope would be somewhere in the storage room, but she might be locked up in the engine room. He would check the engine room first.

EDIT:

Jack rushed into the engine room and found Hope, tied and gagged, without any nearby guards. Jack quickly untied Hope and handed her a pistol and a radio earpiece, into which he spoke.

"Hope, we need to get you out of here. This is Jackson Gray. Come on, we don't have much time before guards come for you."

Unfortunately, four guards suddenly went into the room. Jack did some quick math: This ship was designed to house a crew of 10 plus the captain. That meant that other than these, there were exactly eight other people on board, save him, Hope and Abe.

rolled 1d4 and got 4
Situation:1= lots of guards, 2= some guards, 3= Hope w/guards, 4= just Hope

Abe came up behind the gaurds, cutting one down and knocking out another with his shield.

With two down, Jack fired his pistol twice.

Abe slowly walked towards the last gaurd, but kept his distance. "What should we do with him?" he asked.

Only one shot hit, and Jack attacked the second man by body slamming him, killing him instantly.

"Let's go. Grab that parachute." Jack strapped on a parachute, grabbed Hope, and jumped. Knowing that Hope was probably weak from incarceration, he didn't want to risk her no being able to activate the parachute.
Abe strapped on the parachute and followed. He caught up and asked. "Where we landing?"

Jack looked around, and finally pointed at a grassy field.

"That should do. Let's roll."

Jack activated his parachute. As they were falling, he glanced to the right and saw a fighter jet closing in. The jet fired, turning his parachute into a mess of useless swiss canvas, and Jack disengaged from the tangle to go freefall. He saw that he had an opportunity for a really crazy stunt that would save his life, but he wasn't sure if he could make it.

Post dice edit:

((What I meant by top and bottom 50 were 1-50 was a hit, 51-100 was a miss. If you look back, I did that in a previous roll, where the lowest number was the highest score.))

As the jet passed underneath, Jack used a handheld grapple gun on the bottom of the jet to stop his fall. The grapple grabbed the jet, and Jack swung underneath it, going ridiculously fast, until he made contact with the bottom. Grabbing the front of the wing, he swung himself up onto the top of the plane, shot three bullets through the cockpit's weak point, and rode the top of the plane into its steady descent.

As it came down into the forest, Jack jumped off, coming to a stop on the ground. He checked behind him; Hope was still strapped to his back, alive and breathing. She had apparently blacked out during the high-speed fling under the ship. He dusted off his armor and ran back to find Abe, hoping that he wouldn't find a grease spot on the grass.

rolled 1d100 and got 13
Bottom 50, he misses. Top 50, he makes it.

Abe decided to take the daredevil approach and dove down further before backing off and activating the parachute when the jet passed by. He floated down and saw Jack standing there. When he was close to the ground he cut himself loose, dropping the rest of the way, rolling it out like a proffesional. "What now?" he asked when he popped up.

"That's the interesting part. Now our best move is to recall our ship, but the noise will probably attract zombies. So, we need to make sure we've got ourselves well sheltered. Also, I think it'll take ten to twenty minutes for the ship to locate us."

Jack changed his channel.

"Obsidian, activate protocol ten-forty."

((Until then, the Mustache is now AFK. Tune in next time for the next exciting episode! Same bat-time, same bat-channel!))
Abe put on his shield and pulled out his sword. "If you take care of the shelter, I'll take care of the zombies." he said with a smile, slowly swinging the sword.

"Good. Gurgle faintly if you need help," Jack said, smiling beneath his visor. Meanwhile, he looked around at the trees. "By the way, this is gonna be a bit noisy. Watch yourself." Switching channels to communicate with Obsidian, he said "Obsidian, could you calculate the trajectory of all nearby trees if I shot them down?" In response, his visor HUD lit up with light blue fall path models. Selecting a good enough tree, he touched a panel on his wrist and aimed a small barrel at the base. The visor calculated trajectory, and Jack fired what appeared to be a black object a bit smaller than a baseball. It whizzed through the air and made impact at the trunk, exploding with a rather significant BANG! The tree tottered, fell, and crashed into the side of another tree, and stayed. Looking up its length, he discovered that it was wedged in the fork of the other tree.

"That should hold our weight."

Jack ran up its length and stopped at the part near the fork.

"Abe, you coming?"
"Already ahead of you." Abe said as he ran by, going further up the trees. "Might want to hurry before any zombies see you."

Jack ran further, eventually stopping at a nice place to stand where he could keep a lookout for any sort of zombie approach and watch for his ship.

((The mustache, now AFK.))
