Surely, dear maiden, you jest. You must be, for if this was to indeed be a truth uttered from thine lips, I would have no choice but to send my pet Khajits to hunt you down.
Ah, yes, it is the truth. Other than my parents might forbid me playing such a game, it is plausible that my precious time on the computer and internet may be cut from the sheer awesomeness of Skyrim.
And I find the stories of my talented friend who plays this divine game enough for my experience for I have not heard of this series till she mentioned it.

Does anyone know how to actually make a simple mod for skyrim, or where one can find good resources to learn how?

I cannot find anything on it at the moment, nor do I know how, but I believe they released the creation kit a few days ago, and if you give it some time, someone will have a very detailed tutorial laid out for users new to mod making.

Check out the Nexus sites - like Skyrim Nexus, TES Nexus, and Fallout Nexus. I know that the old game engine Bethesda used had A LOT OF SUPPORT. Like, it had A LOT OF SUPPORT. In Fallout 3, I had something like 4gb or so of mods, it was great, and I didn't check but I think that Skyrim support is coming along.

But yeah, go there, look at forums, achieve VICTOLY!
