Talia was very confused and slight amazed at what was happening. She instantly recognized the intricate design of fate that seemed to print itself upon Sam's neck and part of his face. How was this possible? Not to mention how was he controlling the Police women?! Wait....
"Sam, stop this. Killing her won't solve anything and will only cause us more problems" Talia tried to reason with him. The police officer looked slightly familiar and soon Talia remembered she was one of the officers that had chased them in the beginning. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad if Talia allowed him to kill her, after all they we're trying to kill them. But that was wrong and Talia knew it.
"You don't need to end her life..." She whispered to him, her voice soothing and calm. Hopefully he would listen to her, Since he wasn't really in his normal state of mind. It wasn't right for Sam to kill her but if he had similar powers to hers then killing her would give him extra time to live. Did he really posses the same powers as hers? Or was this something different?

He looked at her as his arm slipped out of her grip. His eyes, once glowed with a white trans-demensional light now faded without her touch and the tattoo was not only no longer lit on him but even the ink that had appeared was now gone altogether. The cop dropped her gun and fell backward, blood still dripping from her nose she scurried away into the restroom.
His memories of the past faded as did the powers, perhaps he was a conduit of her magic. He didn't remember his past, but he remembered, remembering his past. Like it was a faded dream he was trying to remember. He touched her arm and nothing happened, no lights in his eyes relit and no markings appeared again. "What happened?" He asked her, trying to find the memories of his remembering. It is one thing to be told you did something, it is another to remember the things for yourself.

"I don't know....That has never ever happened before." Talia stared down at her left arm. It felt tingly and warm, like it normally did after she used her powers. But she hadn't...Sam somehow had.
"We should leave. I'll have to look into this another time. I have a feeling the police won't be too happy about this." She told him already hoping in the truck and starting the engine. Her mind whirled wildly about the events prior. Had it started with that Kiss? Or was it something else? Searching through her brain about every information she had gotten from her volumes of books on Fateweaving and Fateweavers, yet she could not find anything.
"Sam, did you feel anything different? See anything?" Talia questioned him as she drove away from the Rest stop, ignoring the strange looks from the few people whom saw what happened. This was something very different from anything she had ever read but maybe she had missed something? If only she hadn't burned the books to keep the police from learning more of her powers.

Sam got in the truck as he opened the map. He hadn't actually looked at it in full yet but he did understand how far away everything was. Months ago construction on the major northern highway had slowed traffic down to about a four hour drive to the Canadian boarder. But now it was a lot less...
Kalispell, MT to Eurika, MT: 1 hour, 35min
Eurika, MT to Canadian Boarder: 1 hour
Canadian Boarder to Fernie (First Major City in Canada): 1 hour, 32min
"I don't know how it happened," Sam tried to formulate a sentence that didn't sound stupid, "I remember remembering... But I can't remember what I remembered." It truly came out stupid but he couldn't help it, it was true. He knew that in about a half hour they'd be in Eurika after his examination of the map.

"Okay...So you're saying you can't remember what you did back there that caused you to remember something from the past?" Talia asked him, hoping to get a better understanding of what he was trying to say. He sounded genuinely confused and lost on the manner as was Talia. How had he used her powers? Why did the design of Fate appear and then disappear? Was it some sort of side effect? Or was Sam a hidden Fateweaver? All these questions and more seemed to add to the storm of problems in her head. This was gonna be one huge headache....
"At least we are almost to the border," Talia said reading a highway sign. She would definitely be glad once this huge mess was sorted out! But at least She had gotten to Kiss Sam, not that was the most important thing to think about right now. Though it was a very good distraction. Smiling gleefully, Talia couldn't help but allow her girlish fantasies to run through her head. Yes, it was a very very good distraction.

"Yeah..." He had done a terrible job of explaining but at least she kinda understood. He closed the map, "about eighteen miles until we hit that last town." She had said something about buying a wig and he suspected that that was because it'd be easier to slip them across the boarder if their hair each looked different. Or at least hers did, the white haired girl that was helping him escape. But at least he had found his feelings for her, he did care about her, he didn't remember fully why. He was grateful, but where did the compassion and caring for her well being come from?
"Eighteen miles huh? Hope it's shorter than it sounds." Talia said covering a yawn. To say that Talia wanted sleep was an understatement. She would do about anything to crawl into a little ball and get send off to dreamland, though Talia would push herself until they reacted a safer destination where the cops weren't trying to put them in the hands of death. But that wasn't a pleasant thought she wanted to dwell on, so she went to the next best thing to keep herself from falling asleep. Conversation.
"So, about that Kiss...Why did you do that exactly?"
Now Talia wished to get caught by the police. Why had she brought this up out of all the other things she could've talked to him about?! Did fate just really love to screw with her and make her sound like an awkward social challenged person?! But at last it was too late to take back her words and waited for him to reply or to spontaneously die instead of hearing what he had to say.

"Because it felt right," he smiled at her before looking back out his window. The drive only took about twenty minutes, and no suprise the town was crawling with police. It's like they knew that Sam would make for the boarder. But on the whole ride there he felt like he was getting closer and closer to Talia, emotionally, mentally. "I think well be ok," he was answering a question she hadn't yet asked. It was odd, and all of a sudden his neck began to burn. No markings showed up but it felt like he was getting a tattoo right then and there. Even by the time they arrived the marks hadn't showed up, but Sam could feel that they would. The two were linked now...
"How did you...?" Talia trailed off as he answered the question in her mind that she wondered the most as she drove in the town. There was so many police officers that Talia had seriously doubted that they would make it, yet with Sam's words everything felt fine and all her doubts disappeared.
"Okay, I'll only be about Twenty to Twenty-Five minutes." She promised him after parking the truck somewhere in safe proximity of where she would be. Taking a deep breath, she placed a hand on the door and glanced at Sam.
"I-If I don't make it back, I want you to go to Canada on your own. I know I probably sound stupid or idiotic but I really love..." She shook her head, as if dismissing the words from her mind. Somehow Talia already knew he would understand her without actually saying anything.
"We'll be Okay," She repeated his words with a smile and then ran out into the town

He was about to ask her how long she thought she would be gone but she answered it for him. He felt something strange between them and even after she paused during 'I love...' Sam heard the 'you', loud and clear as if she was yelling it to him. She really cared for him and with his emotions intertwined with hers he felt the same thing. She got out to go and Thorne watched her leave, in the mirror he watched the mark appear and fade again. It was like a rush of power and magic all at once.
Sam looked around and cops were checking the license plates of each one of the cars. Sam slumped low and waited, the officer approached the driver side window and Sam pretended to be asleep. 'Hey can I see some registration for this vehicle?' The officer had been searching the vehicles in his data base and this one came up as "reported missing." Sam looked at the cop and it's like he knew instantly that it was him, pulling out his gun as Sam opened the door and rolled out.
"Damn..." Sam said to himself, he needed to find a new car. He rolled under the truck next to him and took off running Bang! A bullet flew though the air cutting threw his shirt and pushing itself threw his shoulder. Strangely it was not pain he felt next, only a tingling sensation as if the pain was being transferred somewhere else. "What the hell?" He held the wound so it wouldn't bleed but still felt no pain, so he continued to run.

BANG! The familiar sound of a gun firing had Talia running to find Sam in a instant, all thoughts of hiding and scouting the area were out of the question.
"Sam? Sam?! Where are-!" Talia stopped talking as her breath hunched, a exploding pain of fire piercing through her left shoulder. Biting down on her lower lip, Talia tried her hardest not to scream in agony at the burning fire sensation in her shoulder. She felt like she had been shot, yet there was definitely no cops or police around her. It was strange, yet Talia had stranger things happen to her and right now her main priority was to find Sam, hopefully alive this time.
With the black wig on her head, Talia moved faster past the police even with her still injured shoulder. Though she still hadn't found Sam yet. With each passing second she seemed to get more worried, it was like everything was replaying out when they had first decided to flee the law.
"Please Sam don't die. Don't leave me alone like last time..." She found herself muttering. Talia would NOT allow that to happen again! She would do anything to keep him alive....

He had run into the street and was almost hit by a nice sports car, he opened the drive door and pulled the driver out. The man was screaming at him but he didn't care he got in locked the doors and sped off searching the streets for Talia, where could she be? He wasn't all that panicked until he heard the absolute last thing he expected to hear in the world... He zipped into a parking garage and slid into a spot. Talia fell down a notch on his to do list as he looked into the back seat at the baby that had just woken up. "Things could not get any worse!"
It was getting late, as in dark and Talia had yet to find Sam. Luckily she had her wallet which all so contained her passport. It could be possible that Sam had fled to Canada and all Talia had to do was join him.
'Or the worse possible thing could've happened and he could be dead...' Her conscience added darkly.
"Thanks conscience," Talia muttered sadly. She really hoped that wasn't the case. Though walking around and thinking about such things wasn't helping at all! Talia needed to keep searching or at least contact him the only way she knew how, removing her spirit from her body. Sure it hurt like hell and left her body to get mugged or taken by the police and Sam probably wouldn't be able to see her, but Talia could find him and see if he was safe. He just had to be Safe!
Though Talia suddenly decided against it and made it her last resort. Right now she would need a Car or just to get the hell out of this town. Running back out into the street, Talia walked North, being that was in the direction of their destination.
"Hopefully someone will take pity on me and drive me to Canada..."
'Or maybe you'll get picked up and raped by murder' Her conscience added, which caused Talia to frown. Why did her mind have to think of such dark things?! Things just weren't going as planned, meaning that Fate was real bitch sometimes.

He studied the situation baby, car, Talia... These were his peoblems right now, where was she? She would know what to do, or be better equip to think this threw then he would be. "Shit!" He needed a second to yell and freak out before revisiting the events. "I need to call the police," this was his first thought. Get the kidnaped child back to his father, or her father, the cloths seemed pretty generic.
He looked in the car and dialed 9-11 into the blue tooth. 'Hello?' Sam was silent, thinking of what to say, "hey, I'm Sam Thorne, wanted for murder..." What a wonderful start, "I accidentally kidnapped a baby, and I'd like to return him." The cop was silent but sirens in the distance could be heard. Sam didn't hang up but began to run. Down the stairwell and down into an alley. Running full speed, hopping to get away. Sirens blared, "please fate, please! I did the right thing!" He ran faster and harder, and may fate have it, he was running north.

Talia raised her head at the sound of sirens, Police car sirens...
"Sam?! Sam?!" Talia instantly shouted through the increasingly cold air.
He had to be somewhere nearby, She could almost feel-! BAM! Talia was suddenly knocked on her bum as she literally ran into someone. Fixing her black wig, Talia attempted to apologize to whomever she had the misfortune of running into.
"I'm sorry, I was just looking for my friend. Have you seen him, he looks just like...YOU!" Talia nearly jumped for joy once she saw Sam infront of her. He was alive, bleeding from his left shoulder, but still alive!
"Let's never do that ever again!" She told him wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. Sure Fate could be a real Bitch, but at least Talia was with Sam again and she would never let him go again.

Red and blue lights blared from the parking garage, flashing as the cars raced up and down the struckture before finally stopping on the floor he had sent them too. "I agree, i needed you..." He was about to say exactly what she said be she beat him too it. This was getting a bit weird, but none of that mattered right now. "The car... I'm sorry Talia..." He pulled away from the hug and looked at his feet scuffing one on the ground as if it was all his fault that the cop had recognized him. He felt he was to blame thought he was almost a whole different person then the one that fell into the coma. "It's all my fault..."
"It's not your fault so don't worry about it. I'm just glad you're safe" Talia dismissed his apology with a small smile. Though it was a façade for what was troubling her. The person in front of her was not Samuel Thorne and yet he was. He looked like him, and spoke like him, yet his personality was completely different. This Sam seemed to always be lost or confused, instead of sure of himself and consistently brave. Before Talia had been blinded by her emotions and love to have not noticed but now she could see so clearly how this was a huge change. In truth, She desperately missed the "Old" Sam and hoped that getting this treatment in Canada would return him to his former self once more, yet Talia also enjoyed the "Newer" Sam. It was all so very confusing and not to mention a huge distraction from her task at hand.
"Anyway, We'll have to find another way out of here and into Canada..." Talia said once she had collected her thoughts and pushed her mental Sam debate to the back of her mind. Turning her back to him, Talia began to pace, her mind racing to find a plan for them to escape. They could always steal another car, but that would be too risky. Walking was also out of the question, being that it would take them longer than needed to get there. What could they do?

Sam was unsure of how he heard it all, he also knew that he was not supposed to hear it all. He say down on a bench ignoring Talia's rush. "Just go..." He had heard all of what was in her mind about not being the same Sam anymore. "I'm obviously not the same guy you fell in love with." He paused trying not to think before he spoke... A strange consent but he believed it was appropriate for the moment. "We grow up being molded by our experiences, not by just who we are. Sure I may end up having the same moral code and taste in females," he gestured towards Talia. "But without each and every event from my past to make me who I was before, I can not possibly return to be that person you loved... Only a shadow of the man that was put into the coma."
((OOC: Sry it took so long to respond, I got kicked out and had to flee across country... A lot like Sam lol.))

Talia sighed, wishing she had shut her big mouth...or well her brain. Sam had been miraculously reading and knowing all her thoughts before she even voiced them, meaning he had probably gotten a taste of her conflicting thoughts about him. Well this was just great....
"Sam, I'm not just going to leave! I decided to bring you back and thought I could handle any changes that would happen..." She let out another troubling sigh.
"I thought wrong. But I won't back down now. I don't want to see or hear that you died again! That's why we need to get to Canada, together." Talia tried to sound convincing, though she felt as if she was failing. She was never really good at speaking to people and her eyes always spoke of her emotions, which were probably full of doubt right now. She didn't want to be alone anymore....it didn't matter to her if Sam was no longer the Sam she exactly knew. Talia had enough of wandering by herself!
"Even if you don't regain your memories after the treatment...I still want to be with you. We could start over and we could fall in love with each other all over again! So please don't tell me to go! That will kill me more than you know..." Talia confessed truthfully. It hurt her to hear him say those words, all because of her selfish thoughts. She should be happy that Sam was even still breathing! But was it truly selfish to want things to return back to how they were before? If only her powers allowed her to turn back time. It just was just another challenge that Fate was throwing at her and Talia would just have to get over it!
((Ooc: It's totally fine. I've been quite the busy bee myself, though not exactly fleeing the country. I have been practicing foreign languages. Maybe I'll need it if I have to flee the country....))

He didn't want her to be hurt but he knew he was no longer her love. He wasn't the person she cared for and he wanted to know if he would always fill her head with such doubt. He wanted to be with her, but hurting her by no remembering her May be worse then asking her to just leave him already. "If you take your wig and flee alone there may not be as much of a struggle to escape..." He knew he could feel his emotions by this time and hear his thoughts and he didn't care. He wanted her to have a chance at happiness, a chance that she could be with someone who could sleep next to, someone who could warm her with there presence. But he was just a cold empty slate who had apparently killed people before and may again if he recovered his memories.
"To be honest," he started, "I don't know how much I want my memories back..." If he was a murderer he believed jail, or an asylum was where his emptiness belonged. Alone with his empty thoughts thinking of nothing because of his lack of history and past emotions. He was not aware of the word or meaning of cliche when he voice his last statement threw the deafening silence, "you deserve better."
