He didn't want her to be hurt but he knew he was no longer her love. He wasn't the person she cared for and he wanted to know if he would always fill her head with such doubt. He wanted to be with her, but hurting her by no remembering her May be worse then asking her to just leave him already. "If you take your wig and flee alone there may not be as much of a struggle to escape..." He knew he could feel his emotions by this time and hear his thoughts and he didn't care. He wanted her to have a chance at happiness, a chance that she could be with someone who could sleep next to, someone who could warm her with there presence. But he was just a cold empty slate who had apparently killed people before and may again if he recovered his memories.
"To be honest," he started, "I don't know how much I want my memories back..." If he was a murderer he believed jail, or an asylum was where his emptiness belonged. Alone with his empty thoughts thinking of nothing because of his lack of history and past emotions. He was not aware of the word or meaning of cliche when he voice his last statement threw the deafening silence, "you deserve better."

"S-Sam, I...You can't just..." Talia tried to aruge back with him, to speak reason through his stubbornness, yet she found nothing else to say. Sure, she may deserve better and there were probably a million of guys willing to make Talia happy by any means, but none of them would understand her powers or make her feel normal! Only Sam had ever did that...and now after everything, He wanted her to leave. That hurt....oh boy did it hurt! Yet Talia couldn't make herself say or do anything about it.
"Alright..." She finally said, tears clouding her vision. If this was what Sam wanted...
"I-I'll leave, and go fall in love with someone else! I'll live another life and become a completely different person. We'll get married and have children, live in a big house."
Lies....
"And I-I'll c-completely for-forget about you...."
Lies...Lies...Lies...LIAR!!
The tears wouldn't stop flowing now. It was all just to painful...
Talia had ran away from Sam, crying a river of tears. Heart literally ached at leaving him. She had swore to herself to never leave him again...but like before it had been a LIE. Her first love, she had left him once again to die and instead of doing anything about it, Talia was crying in a dark alley.
"Please Sam....Stay alive...at least for me, for I already feel dead without you..." She whispered as she brung her knees to her chest. Talia dared not to move, not even when a shady amount of thugs appeared infront of her, saying inappropriate and dirty things to her. Not even when they circled around her and whispered whom would take turns "having fun" with her. She didn't care...She didn't want to feel...She just wished to disappear....

Sam saw her run away, it was for the better. "Escape he whispered," hearing her thoughts echo softer and softer in his mind. He watched as she darted down an ally, but he also watched as two strange men followed her in... "No, she has power, she'll be fine." He turned and walked away slowly, treading softly attempting to hear any last echo of her before he left for the better. But the footsteps stopped he tried to make out what she was saying, a whisper? A hint of fear??
He needed to let her go, but if she was in danger he couldn't just leave her, that wouldn't happen! He may be a murderer, a thief, and a dead man walking... But he would never ever let a soul harm her. He turned back hearing real sounds again, people talking, laughing, cans being kicked around. But he listened in his head and in real life... 'Does she need help?' He attempted to think loudly, if even possible.

"Go away..." Talia attempted to be diplomatic about this situation. Though by the looks of it, the two men weren't going to leave until the got what they wanted from Taila. Things just got better and better....It was as if Fate was punishing her again. But for what reason, She knew not why. They moved closer until the two shady guys were basically towering over her, keeping her in a corner.
"I told you to-Ugh!" Talia's breath was knocked out of her as one of their boots came in contact with her side. The pain was large but only lasted briefly as it felt as if it was being taken away.
'We aren't leaving until you're naked and We've all had a good time' One of the whispered, his breath smelled of completely nothing but Alcohol. Just another great thing Fate was throwing at her.
Well at least I won't get raped by an old man... Her conscious added, which wasn't really helping her at all. Using her powers would be more of an help to her but unfortunately she couldn't exactly move her left arm without rising suspicions. She had to think of a plan...without getting caught.

Sam stood at the foot of the ally way he raised his hand but nothing happened, "stop." He was unsure of how or why he couldn't use the powers he had used before. Maybe he had to be in contact with her to be able to use them. He didn't know but he put his fists up, this was the only thing he really knew, hitting, killing, and her. The one he had to protect, maybe these guys were doing him a favor, showing him that he couldn't protect her if he was behind bars. "I belong to you," he smiled at Talia, "don't let me walk away again."
Talia couldn't help but smile at that comment. Now that was the "Old" Sam that Talia knew so very well. He would definitely kick some ass and still look good doing it. Though what did he mean by "I belong to you"? Sure they were runaways together or possibly lovers but Sam didn't technically "belong" to anyone, least of all her!
Talia, you should really try to help Sam instead of pondering what he means!! Her conscience yelled at her. Why did she have to get distracted at important times such as these? Now Talia probably seemed as if she had an attention span of a Three year old! Though sometimes she did, especially when the subject was boring or involved-
You're doing it again!! Geez you're hopeless... Well at least her conscience had a better attention span than her...
The glare of a pocket knife in the faint light, caught Talia's attention before either of the thugs had a chance to even use them. Getting stabbed by one of those would really hurt and cause a mess from bleeding. Ingoring her thoughts once again, Talia kicked the man closer to her right in balls. It made her feel slightly bad, since he was screaming like a girl, but also happy. She doubted she would ever get to do that again, though truthfully she could've used her powers to end this in a matter of seconds.

Grabbing the man who wasn't curled up on the floor he didn't notice the hidden blade. He grabbed the mans head, slamming it against the brick wall next to them. The blade stabbed into Sam's forearm as the man collapsed. "Damnit!" The other started to crawl away as Thorne pulled the knife out. He held his hand out for Talia to grab, "I'm like a beast, sacrifices must be made for MY family..."
Once she was on solid two feet, Talia nearly launched herself at Sam into a warn embrace. Despite her thick turtleneck and warm clothes, the combination of the harsh cold and hidden fear of the thugs had Talia shaking like a chihuahua.
"Sam...I..." She tried to speak yet the words she wished to say would not come out. What could she say? Hadn't Sam told her to escape? That she deserved better? Talia had technically tore her heart out for him and pleaded to stay with him though he turned her away. Now here she was, wrapped in his arms and glad to have been saved by him. Did this mean he wished to stay be her side once more? Or was he just performing a good deed? But something told her that Sam had done this of his own free will, that it was all to protect her.
"Thank you" She finally whispered, a small smile graced her lips.

Now that she was touching him he had the power to punish the last as salient who was now limping away. He extended his hand and it jolted, the man was thrown! Tumbling forward into the street a bus horn interrupted the 'nice' moment and Sam closed his eyes as the drunk rapist was no more. Their keys had dropped in the scuffle, Sam drew away from Talia to pick them up. "At least they gave us a new ride." The events scared him, he was a murderer, but he tried to hide his own fear of himself for now. They'd deal with it in Canada. He handed her the keys and took her hand, ready to follow.
"Perfect" Talia muttered, hitting the 'unlock' button to find the nearby car. Sighing she tried to ignore the nagging feeling that the tapestry of Fate gave her when someone died unexpectedly. Technically it wasn't her fault that they had died but once again, Fate would only screw with her more if she failed to acknowledge it. Everything has to have a balance...
"Sam...I need you to watch over my body. A payment must be made" She told him, letting out another troubled sigh. Sometimes she really hated her day job....or more like her eternal duty. Hopefully next time Sam would beat them til unconsciousness instead of death.

Sam looked at the guy who got his head slammed against the brick, "what if that's dude wakes up?" Blood stained the area around him and he'd wake up with one hell of a head ache but Sam only killed the one guy. "Can you do this in the car?" He asked, and sat in the passenger seat, he watched what she was starting to do and had a lot of questions but his eyes widened as he saw the headtrama guy pull out his phone slowly, '9, 1,' the man coughed up blood. Sam stepped out of the car, '1.'
"Sam, just do whatever you need to do. I will only be gone for 5 minutes tops" Talia quickly calculated. The damage couldn't be too bad and Talia would move fast to fix the damage. Hopefully the headtrama guy wouldn't be able to speak before she would have to leave him. Leaving Sam alone still wasn't the best idea in the world but he could manage. Without a second thought, Talia expelled herself from her body and moved quickly to mend that broken strains of the tapestry.
No wonder Fate loved to screw with Talia, the tapestry was horrible ! Many dead ends needed to be clipped and sewn back into their proper place. Everything was completely unbalanced!
"This is what I get for neglecting my duties for months..." She mumbled staring at the intricate yet messy lines of design infront of her. Truth be told, Talia loved to look at the tapestry of Fate. It was hard to describe but Talia could only say it was the essence of life itself. Unfortunately since she had waited so long to do something, fixing it would take a lot more than 5 minutes. Possibly 20 minutes, but then again while outside of her body Talia didn't have any sense of time.
"Sorry Sam, looks like it might be awhile until I wake up..."

Sam watched as her body collapsed. His head began to pound as voices echoed in his mind, 'if he falls asleep he will be dead.' Talia and him were connected some how, she felt his pain when he had been shot and now he was feeling the pain of death. Repairing fate or not she had gone into a sleep of some kind! He struggled to pick up her body and stumbled back to the thugs truck, "Talia, please don't be dead!" A faint heartbeat let him know that she wasn't finished yet, but how would he get her back?
He pushed her into the passenger seat of the pick-up's small cab. Police lights blared and Sam turned the key and began to drive! 'No,' he heard, 'my cahh!' There was a bump under the truck as he turned out of the ally. "Oops..." The cop were right behind him and his heart LITERALLY skipped a beat! Dying was painful, he was getting extremely tired as he looked up at the road signs. "North," he whispered as he sped out of the town and onto the interstate.

So close. Talia was so close to mending the tapestry and of course something just HAD to happen. Even the blaring of the sirens from the cops could be heard, breaking her concentration. Killing them all would be a quick and would save Talia less pain once she woke up.
It's not right to end their lives though.... There was her ever so annoyingly right conscience. Those cops no doubt had families, love ones, children. To take their lives would mean taking them away from all that. It wasn't right...it wasn't Talia. Just because she had the power to tare their strains of Fate asunder, didn't mean she should. That was something the "Old" Talia would've done...
Though it had taken her longer than she had expected, Talia had finished! Now that the tapestry was repaired, Talia would have better control over her fateweaving abilities and could possibly buy them some time away from the cops. Returning to her body however, would be extremely painful but that was her price. Sighing with a twinge of regret, Talia returned herself to her body. Oddly enough the pain didn't come right away. Instead as Talia tried to get a hold of her surroundings, she coughed...crimson blood stained her lips and hands as she moved to cover her mouth. And then did the raging pain of an intense headache hit her like a train.
"Well this is just dandy..." She muttered after awhile.

She still wouldn't feel her own pain though, so where had the head ache come from? Sam had felt all the pain of death and the force of he pushing her way back to life. He had passed out, slamming the car into a guard rail saved there lives, as did the seat belt he had attached to her. But the sudden slam of the side of the car against the rail stopped it actually pretty gradually. But it had also caused
Sam to slam his head against the steering wheel, this was where Talia's head pain came from. A cop car requested back up as the male driver got out and yelled for the two of them to stay in their car. More we're coming and he had a gun as he walked closer and closer. There was no catching a break today... And Sam was asleep, mind slipping into limbo ever so slowly.

Everything felt like it was happening in slow motion. Sam had slammed the car into the side railing and his had made a defeating thump. Next thing Talia knew Sam was asleep and somehow she could feel him slipping slowly into the grasps of Death.
"No..." Her voice was faint, no louder than a whisper. This wasn't suppose to happen! She had mended the broken strains of Fate, everything was suppose to be perfect now! So Why was this happening?! Now Talia was panicking, all sense of a plan flew over her head.
"You have to help him!! Please just save him!" Talia shouted frantically at the police as they slowly surrounded the car.
"Lock me up, put me in an asylum or something, Just save him!!" A mixture of blood and tears slid from her face as she screamed and begged for help. Talia couldn't lose him now, not like this!
The pain in her head and the pain she was feeling in her heart was two completely different things. Her heart felt like it was being squeezed tightly despite the raging pain that seemed to lessen a little by little. Sam couldn't die again,Talia wouldn't allow it! She would kill, and destroy anyone whom allowed him to die again!
"Help him! Please don't let him die..." Her throat hurt from all her shouting but Talia didn't care. She loved Sam, she truly did. If Sam died, Talia would unleash the wrath of her lost love before dieing herself.
(Sorry for the late reply. I went on a mini vacation)

Sam stood beside her and put his hand on her shoulder, "they can't here you." He wasn't happy, but at least he had all his memories flowing threw his mind. The love they shared, the killings, the robbery, the coma, his father, their attempt to make it to canada, all of it. His body lay in the car, as did hers, so how did they stand here? Outside of life?? The officer walked right through the ghostly couple, he examined the car and bodies as a female officer pulled up and rushed over.
"It's to late for me Talia, I'm finished." His voice seemed whaspy, trailing off a bit. He kissed her forehead, "but if you unattach our fates, yours and mine, you can live on, you can escape!" He touched her hand, he couldn't ask her to stay here in this misty form of death with him but it is what he wanted. She still had a chance to live, but if she accepted death they could be together. "The choice is yours my darling," he smiled. No anger that he was dead, no sadness, just peace.
