"I am," she answered frankly with the rim of the cup still pressed against her lips and her eyes drifted elsewhere, not finding any particular interest in anything. Everything that left her lips would most likely be rude, not very pleasant for everyone's ears, but it wasn't as though she cared for opinions. Her attention was slowly returning to Victoria as though she'd just left her pensive state when the woman spoke again. Clove opened her arms, displaying herself in some sarcastic gesture. "Oh you noticed?" she feigned a grin. "Here, let me spin around for you," and so she did, rotating on her heels before her expression fell bland once more and she sighed through her nose. "Anyway, what I meant princess was that you look good in that dress," Clove nudged Victoria's shoulder. Years changed the mercenary. Of course she wouldn't be as loose as Victoria remembered. Now her words were always hard, mostly sour, and it was difficult to determine whether her statements are jokes or whatnot.
The last thing she wanted to be was put on the spot, however since she was just being introduced it was overlooked. Victoria's small speech came afterwards and her grief hadn't gone unnoticed by Clove. Not being one to comfort she didn't mention it or encourage. Sitting in silence was the only comfort she would ever give.

OOC; I wasn't talking about you. give me atleast 3 lines and I'm happy.
"Well if no one has anything more to say, I will continue with the reveal of the night so we can quickly get to eating" Victoria got up, cleared her throat. "I just want everyone to know that this choice has been a hard one. I have been thinking about it a lot and I believe that I made the best decision. That doesn't mean, that I think the other weren't suited for the task. It just means that I have looked at all the skills, how compatible our personalities are, meaning if they will push me to be better and all that."
Victoria turned her body towards Clove and smiled. "Clover, I know we haven't talked in a long while. Also our friendship isn't what it should be, not yet. But either way, I wouldn't be able to think of a better right hand then you. I know you will always tell me the truth, how harsh or scary it is. You are one of most skilled hunters I know but most of all, being a woman you understand the struggles in this man's world. You will push me to do better. And it be a great honor to have you by my side, as an advisor and a partner. So I ask you. Will you be my right hand, Clove Clayworth?" After the long speech she held her breath, while giving her a smile, the thought of Clove refusing spooked through her head.

Bad Dog smiled as he looked at the broken glass on the floor Darren had ignored, "slutty but impressive." He chuckled poking fun at the powers he knew she had. He wondered how many cops she 'had' done that kind of manipulation with, most likely a dozen if not more. He knew she was a famous 'lover' and wondered if she would be working at the gentlemen's club herself. But the schemes were impressive if not so selfish, "I have a few notes as I'm sure we all do."
He looked over the files once more before formulating his thoughts into words. "What about the Alluvaun Family in California? if they hear we are going to stop buying their product they may be very... Upset with us." He knew this could mean reps from San Francisco would try and assassinate her, and he didn't want to think of who would replace her. Cory? Yeah that would be bad.
"The last thing we want is fire breathers on our rear end heating things up." He switched to another file, "also shift shapers aren't the most trust worthy sort, they left the five family's long before werewolf a joined up." It had been the Four Families for about half a decade after shapeshifter a had sic seeded in back stabbing all four families all at once. "What makes you so sure we can trust them again?"

Clove hadn't been too enlightened of what this dinner party would be about. She had come thinking it would be a temporary stay, coming in to fulfill a task and leave again. Talk of Victoria's choice for a right hand man brought Clove's eyes to Mako. If she recalled right he'd been considered family among the Langsly's. It would be no surprise if he were chosen, having been present in Victoria's life for so long. Never did it come to thought that she would be a candidate, she utterly thought she only came for a limited amount of time only.
Her green hues visibly widened once her name was spoken, darting to Victoria to determine whether she was being serious or not, but by seeing how she was refusing to breathe until Clove gave her answer she couldn't have been joking. Well, that was a surprise. Instead of giving a direct answer she scooted her chair back, and got up. As there was in every room she started dialing on the phone that held up on the wall before putting it to her ear.
When a familiar voice finally picked up she began, "Yes, it's me. Do me a favor and pack my things, you know how to transport the artillery don't you?" After getting confirmation she hung up and returned to her seat, giving Victoria the answer she was searching for. "That look you're giving me. What? You think I'd turn you down?" Clove grinned as she settled back in her seat.

Mako got somewhat of a frown after hearing who was going to join Victoria as her right hand, he had thought he was a shoe in now he was shocked and upset. Not wanting to show his emotions over it he just sat quietly thinking about what Clove has that he didn't.
Mako finally spoke up by saying " Hey... Vicky would it be alright if I step out for a smoke?" Mako doesn't normally smoke, he is a body builder and takes care of his body other than the drinking. "Anyone like to join me outside?" Mako asked since he didn't have any cigarettes or a way to light them.
Mako's voice sounded disappointed, and his body language showed it. At this point he needed to vent to someone.

(( OOC: ... OH EMM GEE, IS THAT MALFOY!? DRACO DUDE WHERE YOU BEEN MAN ok if I dive in?, I'm changing Slade for this aarpee))
Slade was around, hidden, just like he liked it. He turned the corner into an alleyway right besides the building they were all at. This Mage was similar to a vampire, fangs and keen senses with a craving for blood but he did not drink it, no, he kept it all in a tiny floating vile that stayed around him at all time. He was the strongest blood Mage known, this arcane magic was powerful, though it took blood to use and gave a whole new meaning to blood for blood.
Slade slowly unbuttoned his shirt, the tiny vile of blood that held like what seemed like an endless amount of blood floated up besides him and the blood came out of it like it was alive. Two slits opened up in his back, just besides his shoulder blades opened up and the blood coated the slits. From the slits the blood took form into blood red coloured skeletal wings. He stretched his back and wings, stood upright and smiled devilishly 'All crazies in one place' he rubbed his hands 'blood's going to boil I can just' he licked his lips 'taste it'
With a flap of his wings he was off the ground, circling the building to survey his surrounding, just apartment complexes, a food stand, 2 convenient stores and a clothes shop. Not really interesting... The boss never had taste, he made it up for his smart thinking and brute force.
Eventually Slade entered the room but not without making an exciting introduction. As everyone talked Slade flew towards a nearby window with a dead eye aim, aiming for the small crack opening. As he got closer to the little keeping in the window he turned into a puddle of blood and went straight into his tiny bottle that clinked a few times as it fell into the room. The blood seemed to stay in the bottle even without a lid to contain the blood in the tiny vile. The vile stopped at Victoria's feet, where did such a tiny vile come from?

After hearing the some what shocking, yet friendly words from Clove VIctoria took a big breath. Nothing would of sucked more then rejection right now. A smile came on her lips and she looked around at the others, a sad energy was surrounding Mako and she fell bad. She knew he wanted to be her right hand really bad but she made her choice, she would talk with him alone and explain everything. She pushed her chair backwards to go after Mako when a little vile with blood landed in front of her feet. The vile had a strange aura around it and Victoria didn't trust it.
What is that? She looked at Darren "Darren, is this vile yours?" For a split second her mind went to her brother and she jumped backwards. If this was one of his tricks, she needed to be carefull.

Mako sniffed the air, the vile had no lid and it was filled with blood. The scent permeated the air and filled Mako's nostrils, he slowly turned back around as his eyes rolled to the back of his head and were a pure white. Mako jumped over the table trying to get the vile of blood, but everytime he would grab for it the vile would somehow rolls away from his reach.
Mako let out a frustrated roar, his shirt ripped in the back and his Dorsal fin stuck out from his back. Mako made an attempt to dive for it but once again it rolled out of reach. Mako hit the ground and his eyes rolled back to normal and his dorsal fin retracted back into his body. Laying on the floor he looked up and found himself to be at Victoria's feet. Mako gave a smile and an apology for causing the disturbance. "Vicky, I cant help myself! I smell blood and its go time... I would say I need help but its a natural thing with my people." Mako really didn't mean to cause a scene about a little blood but his Shark nature overwhelmed him.

He would be lying if he said that he wasn't a little disappointed that he wasn't made right hand man. However after a while he thought that it might be fine; life goes on as normal but then again, that might have been why he was disappointed to begin with. Darren's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the vial. "No that definitely isn't mine" he said in response to Victoria's question as he watched tthe vial closely.
Mako's disappointment was noted, but Clove made no comments whatsoever. Instead something in her peripherals caught her attention and she glanced down to the vial. She was, too, suspicious of it, her eyes darting to each individual in the room to read their faces, but none of them seemed really aware of it. Enough to wear she didn't suspect anyone in the room to have done it.
Mako's abrupt movement alarmed Clove, her hand instinctively reaching for the socket on the side of the boot and grasping a dagger a she immediately stepped in front of Victoria, however she loosened up a bit when she noticed he was after the vial. For a second there she thought he was going to take some anger out on Victoria for not choosing him. Thankfully things turned out different. If not.. Clove was a big fan of seafood.
She wasn't going to touch that vial. If anything they should let him have it, but still the question hung in the air as to where it came from.

The vile rolled up to a nearby wall and stood upright, for a moment it seemed to just be a mysterious presence, one that no one but Vicky and Mako would know when he showed himself. Mako hated Slade due to the fact he teased him with blood. the blood from the vile traveled up along the wall forming words that dried onto the wall blood is thicker than water was somehow written on the wall. The vile tipped over and the blood poured out onto the floor, seeping into the carpet , and from it formed the body of a male from the ground up, the vile began to float besides the bloody male figure that solidified into a familiar face 'miss me?' Slade asked with a devilish smile, he ran his hand through his cobalt blue hair to slick them into backward spikes.
The family never really brought Slade's presence out into light, he was the mysterious guardian that was in the corner of the room listening but never acting. The boss preferred it like that, someone to rely on when things went tough and he needed advice or when he needed a special request taken care of. Only two people other than the boss knew about him, Vicky and Mako and they only knew because Vicky was the boss' daughter and Mako was a blood hungry shark he could tease here and then with blood 'the blood in this room is... Hot, did I scare everyone?' He asked buttoning up his black shirt. He looked at the tense crowd with a devilish smile 'my bad' he said biting his lip. He was merely a shadow until now, Vicky could introduce him, or he could do it, he want fussed.

Mako grumbled when he realized who it was "Great this jackass again." Mako not only disliked Slade for the teasing but also because he knew if Mako slipped up Slade was the clean up crew. Without a doubt Mako was jealous that the boss favored Slade, that fact ate at every fiber of Mako's being. While Mako knew Victoria favored Mako he still couldn't get past the fact that Mr.Mignon preferred Slade.
Bad Dog had no real association to Slade one way or another, he had gotten a new glass and poured himself another glass of scotch and sat with the two folders he would bring up the fire breathers and distrust in the shift shapers when the stupid vampire quarrels were complete. For now he sat himself down on the couch and listened to the hate bleeding out of each persons words. Mako hated Slade, Cory hated Victoria, Bad Dog hated Darren, the imp hated everyone but Mako, and no one really cared for Draco. It was rather funny when you thought about it. So much money passed from hands to hands in this group you were essentially paying for peace between the families. That was basically it, because as soon as the money ran out they group would be at each others throats for real.
OOC: Alright guys, it seems that I'm not really doing anything as a character. So until I'm needed, I'm not going to be here, for sake of not making pointless posts.
You could feel the room sigh out of relieve. A smile came on Victoria's face and she welcomed the new guest into her home. "Excuse me, I have to go to the ladiesroom." She walked towards the door and left the room.
After washing her hands, she wiped her hands and looked in the mirror, deep in thoughts when suddenly her brother appeared in her reflection. He held a syringe and pushed it in her neck. The moment the needle broke her skin she gasped and grabbed her neck. As quickly as her brother appeared, he also disappeared. A sudden pain went through her body, she fell on her knees and screamed. The scream could be heard through the whole house, cutting through marrow and bone. while holding the washing table she got up and looked in the mirror only to see her green eyes turn almost black. "No, no! This can't be happening. It's not possible" Victoria passed out for two seconds and when awake again she appeared to be a whole new person.
One of the maids came in, a young petit woman with a concerned look on her face. "Lady Victoria? Are you okay?" A creepy smile appeared on Victoria's face. "I will be, once I get something to eat." She then attacked the maid and kissed her. When her lips let loose of the maids lips, bleu energy was floating from the maids mouth into victoria's. Then Victoria's eyes began to glow blue. As she sucked more, the girls face turned paler and paler, until she died with a smile on her face. Victoria let go of the girl and her lifeless body fell on the ground.

"Does anyone else here the sound of a mortal soul screaming out for help?" Bad Dog's ears were so powerful, if fully focused he could here undead spirits leave their bodies. It's how the ghost thieves sold their treasures to the werewolves in the late 1800's. He waited for Victoria to leave the rest room before commenting to her again, "I see flaws in at least two of your 'new plans', if you wouldn't mind meeting with me at a later date I'd be happy to do some rewriting of these two agendas." He slipped the folders into his suit, and opened the door for himself. "Thanks for the drinks, I'll be in contact with Mako." He stood at the door waiting for a response, it would be rude if he was to just leave.
Darren was also ready to leave. He got out of his seat and walked to the door before turning when Victoria came out from the restroom. "Thanks for the drinks" Darren said "Until next time, good bye". He then started to walk out of the door that led outside.
