The train slowly pulled into the station. Finally, the five hour ride was over. As the riders rose to their feet and shuffled to the end of the train, Gertrude "Trudy" Rydell sat in her seat, her bag tucked under her arm tightly as though afraid it would be snatched from her at any moment, until she found an opening to get out.
Stepping off the train, Trudy was left breathless as she took in the view of the marvelous station. Never in her life had she seen such a busy place with so many people, and the thought of how many would be outside, walking the busy city streets left her nervous.
As she glanced at her watch she sighed at how early she was. Roxxy wouldn't be here to pick her up for hours, why did the train come so early? There was no way she was going to wait that long. Fishing the address from her coat pocket, Trudy headed out of the station. Surely she could find her way to the apartment herself. It couldn't be that hard, right?

Lucas walked down the busy streets, he moved with elegance as if walking on air. Closing in on a small corner jewelry vendor, he stopped as if to buy something. He asked the lady at the table questions of her crafts and of how many people usually bought her jewelry. He seemed like a typical customer, but by the time he left she was missing her most expensive item, a ruby necklace.
As the day sank into night, he had found himself wandering into a nightclub. Wearing his white dress coat embroided in gold, and his fashionable attire that went with it. He stood out from the locals, snow colored hair and turqoise eyes made him quite appealing. Well compared to all the ruffians that usually went to that club.

Another figure stepped off the train and onto the busy streets. All these people.... The figure headed swiftly into town, ignoring the prying looks from any who gazed upon him. He knew if he were to look at them, they would be under his control. Atleast, if he wanted them to be. His footsteps were eerily silent, and as he drew farther away from the crowd, his muscles began to slowly relax. Maybe I will be accepted here...
Trudy studied the address, squinting in the dim light, and looked up at the street signs. "Where am I going to find Plum Street..?" she asked herself, chewing her bottom lip as she thought of which way to go. "Maybe i could ask for help.." she muttered, looking around for another person. Most were waiting inside where it was warm. All but one man. "Excuse me?" she started, her voice a bit monotone and quiet.
He turned at the sound of her voice. Skylar tried not to look her in the eye, atleast not with both. "yes?" he turned and walked Over to her, his height causing him to look down to see her. " how may I help?"
Shriking back a bit, a little intimidated by his height, she looked to the ground, "I er..I'm a little lost. Do you know the area at all, or where I can find Plum Street? Or..any kind of fruit street really I guess.." her voice seemed to get quieter as she spoke. It wasn't so much as she was shy, she just wasn't used to speaking anymore. After the incident in school seven years ago, she became quite introverted, preferring not to speak unless it was necessary. She knew now that she was in a new place, that would have to stop.
The man smiled kindly, nodding. "I'm heading to a place quite near Plum Street! I can take you there, if you wish?" Skylar Was very happy to have met someone he could help. because, despite his outrageous attitude, Sky simply loved helping others.
She smiled, relieved and began to relax, "Oh thank you so much, Mr...er..Sir." She held out the address to him, "I'm trying to get to my friend's house, she said it's some glorious, luxurious apartment building but she's probably exaggerating.." she tucked a piece of her currently pink and blue hair behind her ear, giggling a little. It had been awhile since she had spoken to a man. When she realized this, she shoved her hands into her pockets and looked straight ahead, her voice returning to it's monotone, "Let's go."
Don't forgeta voice sang in her ear, He's an evil dirty little man! The voice mocked her and cackled before fading away, sending a shiver down her spine, cursing at it quietly.

He took he adress paper, and smiled. "my name's Skylar." he turned and headed in the same direction he started in. He went back to ignoring glances, and turned slightly every once and a while to make sure the she was still with him. Huh.... What an odd attitude change.. Skylars mind swirled with questions and ideas.
"Trudy." she replied shortly, chewing her lip. She felt bad being so rude. It won't hurt to act normally, right? To have a normal conversation, to pass the time!. "Do you live in this city, Skylar? Or are you visiting?"
Trudy... What a wonderful name! "hmm? Oh, I've been traveling awhile, and I've had this city on my mind for quite some time. I just decided to come today!" he smiled, then turned onto a street, the houses looking very shabby. It wasn't yet Plum Street.
"It is kind of exciting here. It's so fast and busy and I feel like I'll never explore the entire city.." she ran up to catch up to him, hugging herself tightly, "Though I think I'll be ok with not exploring some places.."
Trudy had grown up in a small town surrounded by farmlands, quite different from the city. While the town had it's share of ruffians, she had never been attacked or mugged. The area they were in looked like a prime spot for a situation.
(God with every post I've posted as the wrong character haha. I'll never get used to changing it!)

(I know! I do that too! ^^) Sky glanced at her as she began to walk beside him. " that's very true. I've never quite liked the city. I'm more of a wilderness lover, in actuality." he eyed the houses warily, looking out for trouble. " stay close by. I don't like the air this street has." his eyes narrowed, and he put on a pairof sunglasses. Last thing I want is Trudy getting caught up in the mix if things go bad...
"Don't gotta tell me twice.." She muttered, sticking close to his side, her eyes darting around as they walked, afraid they would be jumped at any moment. "I er...I grew up surrounded by fields and cows. It was ok I guess."
Skylar smiled. "ah, farmland. I love those kind of areas. I've never really stayed in the same place before. I've moved around like crazy since I was 15." Sky saw a group of suspicious looking men walking near them. One had a knife. The other had a small bat. There were three of them. "Trudy. Look."
Trudy followed his gaze and froze in her spot, "Ah...I...Maybe we should take a detour?" she mumbled, nervous. She knew the city was dangerous, but to run into such thugs so soon after arriving? What if every day was like that? She suddenly doubted her decision to move.
The man shook his head slightly. "just stay behind me. I'll cover this." as the men approached Sky frowned, tilting his sunglasses slightly. Skylar caught sight of the first two men, and their eyes went blank almost instantly after. They turned and walked away slowly. The others watched them, surprised expressions on their faces. The lead guy looked at the two of them angerly. "who the hell do you think you are?"
